We enjoyed a private lesson at Hudson Valley pottery for our family of four. We don’t have prior experience but Judi patiently walked us through the basics of using a pottery wheel. We have four pieces to take home as a fun memory and will be back for more lessons!

On vacation when my son found this gem on a google search. My family of 5, ages 19-78, spent a most enjoyable morning learning to throw pots on a wheel. It’s harder than it looks! Judy was a patient and helpful teacher - her years as a K-12 art teacher were a benefit to us. It was such an fun and active group activity to learn together. We made memories and pots!

LOVE Hudson Valley Pottery. Judy is an absolute doll and is so knowledge about her craft of pottery. I recently took a beginners coarse with two of my friends and am really happy with how my pieces turned out. She was patient and a fantastic instructor. She not only explained what to do and why, but she also, gave us creative freedom to play with thoughtful feedback. I can not recommend this place enjoy- perfect hobby and very COVID-19 safe!

I have met the artists several times and viewed their works. This is a nice diverse representation of styles all within an affordable range of pricing. I like supporting local artists and it's fun to stop by and check it out.
