A lively and creative center for the arts. Sam in the Rooted Cafe is a gem, a welcoming and generous host.

Amazing vintage clothing event held by @select.markets . Had a blast!
Great venue. Attended Smut Slam recently, and the acceptance by the community was amazing to see. The Cafe is awesome. Wide selection and great, friendly service.

Cute old eclectic community art and music center with a cafe. Artists and musicians abound depending on what is going on. Extensive evening event schedule. Also, includes music teacher studios, art studios (but not open all the time depending on artist) and a violin restoration and repair artisan.
Cafe serves sandwiches, snacks, coffee and a decent mini selection of beers

Arts at the Armory in Somerville not only serves as a beacon for creativity and community engagement but also plays host to an exceptional Winter Farmers Market that truly stands out in the greater Boston area. The market is a vibrant, bustling hub of activity, offering an impressive array of fresh food vendors, each more delightful than the last. It's a place where the passion for quality and freshness is palpable, and the variety of options ensures that there's something for every palate and preference.

What sets this market apart is not just the abundance of amazing food choices but the immersive experience it offers. The live music adds a dynamic and joyful atmosphere, transforming shopping from a mundane task into a delightful outing. The melodies weave through the space, creating a backdrop that elevates the entire experience, making each visit memorable.

The concept of combining a farmers market with the arts is ingenious, offering a holistic experience that nourishes the body, the mind, and the soul. It's a place where the community comes together, supported by the warmth of shared experiences and the joy of discovery. Whether you're a foodie in search of the freshest local produce, a music lover looking to enjoy live performances, or simply someone in search of a unique way to spend a weekend morning, the Somerville Winter Farmers Market at Arts at the Armory has something for everyone.

In essence, Arts at the Armory and its Winter Farmers Market represent the best of what Somerville has to offer: a commitment to community, a celebration of local talent, and an unwavering dedication to providing a space where everyone can find something they love. It's a testament to the power of bringing people together in a shared space, united by the love of good food, great music, and the vibrant spirit of the community.

Dropped by for the weekly farmers market - and so glad that we did. What a wonderful way to get the community together. Live music, inside & outside this historic Somerville, Massachusetts location. Lots of vendors selling an eclectic mix of farm fresh produce (some of it not easily seen in supermarkets), artisans breads, jams, apple cider donuts, apple cider, goat milk soap, meats, etc, etc. Bring the whole family for a wholesome outing! Lots of street parking available around.

We saw Two Girls One Ghost perform. THEY were amazing, but this venue SUCKED. The audience were squished like sardines into rickety cheap chairs that killed our backs. The bathrooms were trashed. My seat kept getting kicked and moved by everyone around me. I had people's hair, arms, and even shoes pressed against me the whole show. At one point someone's salad fell all over my lap & I had wine spilled on me. Felt like a mosh pit! Way too overcrowded!
Love Arts at the Armory. I have seen several events there and always had a great time. Check out their upcoming events. There seems to be something for everyone.
The Armory Rooted Cafe also does a nice job with a variety of food and drink options.
Cool place! I've been there a couple times for different things. Once I was in a small little venue for live music, there was a little cafe (If I remember correctly, this was a couple years ago); most recently I was there for a fitness event in their big room that has a stage. It was a great room! And setup nicely with a set of bathrooms right inside the same main room where our event was instead of people streaming in and out, which would have leaked a lot of sound into the other part of the building. Great floor, great stage, great sound system... Awesome all around.
Great place to see a performance. Cafe inside is also fantastic for a quick bite before the show.

Bathrooms both for the theater and for the cafe!

It is a nice space for performances. However, we experienced a fire alarm during the performance. I am not sure what triggered it. Unfortunately, it affected the experience. We all had to leave. It was raining and that made some people leave.

I truly love seeing shows in the cafe! It's a smaller space, and the way the performers and audience get to share the space makes for incredible experiences! I love the food, the art on the walls, the coloring pages for art creation, it's just a really great space!
This venue honestly exceeded exceptions. I bought tickets the day of to the Valleyheart Album release party. It was intimate. They offered free water for everyone to stay hydrated. It was clean and full of all sorts of artistic connections! Very cool spot and would highly recommend. If you arrive early enough, you can find on street parking or you can park behind the venue.
We did not have the opportunity to see the whole building outside or inside because we walked to close to the building and just admired the circular structures in the corners of the building. We did not know anything about this building until we saw a full photo of their entrance. We have to comeback to see the inside and update this review.

The Art House is a beautiful little gallery that focuses on local artists. It currently shows the works of Adam Leveille which are marvelous and absolutely worth a visit.
Intriguing art gallery and even more so a performance space. If you’re into the weird, experimental, abrasive, and intense music culture of Massachusetts and beyond this place is for you. I cannot recommend going to a show here enough even if you’re not yet into what I said above.
A wonderful location for the arts. Cozy but not cramped. Great staff for a convenient location.
Great small shows. Reasonable way to learn abput local artists
There is no adequate way to review a combined studio/gallery, but this one is real great. I like it!
Great clean, tidy space for an art show!
