Outstanding for art, and outstanding for welcome

Had a lovely time visiting the Pineapple Gallery this Friday in Bishop Auckland.

Met Tom the friendly knowledgeable proprieter and Jacky, one of the many talented artisans selling their work at the Gallery.

A great ecclectic mix of work available over 2 floors. Tom said about 40 percent is local artistes, the rest are from the UK and overseas.

Tom is also now launching his mother's 1950s designs in a range of fabrics, wallpapers and cushions.

I left with a lovely silk scarf printed using the natural dyes in leaves made by Jacky. And gorgeous pottery wren. Ideal for our holiday let home.

Conveniently located opposite the Car Park too.

Tom is up for a prize. Best small business in the North East. Fingers crossed he wins.

Unfortunately we won't be here for the Staithes NE England Art Festival taking olace this September which came highly recommended too.

Great place for original art and pottery. Very friendly gallerist with lots of knowledge and enthusiasm x

First visit today and was very pleased I stopped by. Fantastic artwork set out in a very friendly gallery and I was extremely happy with our purchases. Highly recommended!!

Love this gallery. I have a bit of a passion for ceramics and am spoilt for choice here. Have purchased some unusual and beautiful gifts from here.
