Really a lot nicer than I thought. Campgrounds were exposed to each other a lot but we went on weekday when it was empty. Beautiful little beach coves. Nice park Rangers.

The checkin is on the road. So if you walk in don't take the trail shortcut over the preservation, walk on the road to the checkin.

Liquor store and market across free way. 1.5 mile walk. Park Rangers can sell u wood but it's like 12 dollars a small bundle.
Great place to get a train into NYC. 1.5 miles to train station, we walked easily. Right into grand central (hint take the express, it’s much shorter. )The campground is quite nice. 4 stars as the bathrooms were not open near the RV and the whole place could use some upgrading. Nice trails to walk on as well. We are a small RV so would have preferred the tent area as the sites were more pleasant.
We run large events, but needed some down time from those, so we planned a get-together with a group of friends. The campground is nice. No frills, but has FHU RV sites, plenty of tress, nice walking trails and sits right on the Hudson River. The sites are pretty level and a decent size. Staff was always busy cleaning and we're really friendly.
Lots of birds here for bird watching. We saw a ton of bald eagles. We are hoping to book another group outing here next year.
Very close to Sleepy Hollow and Tarrytown.
Clean, spacious, quiet and great location. We stayed here 4 times so far. The first time there was a blues festival. The landscape is beautiful. The beach area is clean. The picnic sections are spacious. The camping section is safe and quiet with a clean shower and restroom.
The camping area essentially is a grassland reserved for campers. Wasn’t busy. Usually there’s just very few campers there. Dogs are allowed. You have to sign in at the office at the entrance but no reservation beforehand is specially needed.
Very convenient for rvs, & all campers. The park is spacious with loads of mature trees. Playgrounds are newish, nice beach. We had a lovely time. Convenient to go to the city, and many other areas if interest.
Our favorite campground on this month long trip. Beautiful and quiet. Well maintained. Nice walks and biking. Beach area looked nice. As stated before the bathrooms are dated and need spider web sweeping regularly, but still not bad. Great location for train ride into NYC. Only negative: RVs be careful of the roads around this camp. MOST are not good for rv travel.... very low bridges and terrible roads and too narrow. Do not go on ANY Parkway!!
Great campground, went with the Scout's and had fun,we stayed in the tent only section but would like to come back with my camper
