Nach Jahren hab ich heute mal wieder gebruncht im Alex. Spontan und ohne Reservierung - Glück gehabt (aber das Personal strengte sich bei allen Spontangästen sehr an, alles möglich zu machen). Brunch war wieder mal sehr lecker und vielfältig. Vielleicht könnten die Warmgerichte (vor allem Eier) etwas wärmer gehalten werden. Das wäre einziger Verbesserungswunsch. Preise ok, wenn auch nicht ganz günstig (Sonntagsbrunch ohne Kaffee 20,90€). Service sehr aufmerksam und nett. Ambiente wie eh und je sehr gemütlich. Auch Aussenbereich sehr schön zum Sitzen in der Sonne. Immer einen Besuch wert!
Ein schickes Bistro was auch schon fast ein Restaurant sein könnte. Schön zubereitetes Essen, gute Auswahl an Kaffee und Kuchen und viele köstliche Snacks. Cocktails für jedermann und viel Platz für viele Besucher.
Den Brunch kann ich als Veganerin absolut nicht empfehlen. Ich war dort zum Brunchen und wusste nicht, dass die vegane Küche dort noch nicht angekommen war. Es gab zum Glück noch eine Milchalternative, aber das war’s dann auch schon. Der im Brunch inbegriffene Orangensaft schmeckte nach nichts. Brunchen werde ich dort sicher nicht mehr.
Das Ambiente ist ganz nett, wenn man nicht gerade im Eingangsbereich sitzt und vom Luftzug erwischt wird. Ich mochte die Kunstauswahl.

Very nice place. Great food. We had bowl with salmon. And very good beer from local brewery. We had also desert and they were very tasty. Carrot cake and banana cheesecake. Both very delicious. Definitlly worth visiting.
Last min find. Got to Regensburg really late and found this restaurant. Glad we found it. Drinks were amazing and service was good. Food presentation was good. Apologies had to take photos from my partners phone as it would not transfer on my phone.
Das Essen ist soweit in Ordnung, allerdings finde ich das meine Ofenkartoffel mit 9.50€ doch etwas teuer war für die Größe. Das an der Gurke noch dieses Teil dran war, hat es auch nicht besser gemacht.

Aufgrund der doch teilweisen mittelmäßigen Bewertungen, doch positiv überrascht. Einrichtung, Möblierung, alles top. Speisekarte vielfältig, Preise für Regensburg Nähe Dom für mich Okay. Die beiden männlichen Servicekräfte waren Top. Schnelle Aufnahme der Getränke und Speisen. Kurze Wartezeit bei der Zubereitung. Rumpsteak Medium und Beilagen, geschmacklich gut, Teriyaki ebenso. Bezahlung mit Kreditkarte problemlos und zügig. Nun das einzig negative, was zu dem 1 Stern Abzug führte. Während die weiblichen Toiletten sauber waren, fanden sich in allen 3 Toiletten, Toilettenpapier am Boden. Warum Gäste in allen 3 Toiletten das Papier am Boden verteilten? Verstehe ich nicht. Die Pissoire waren sauber. ----> Als Anregung: Vielleicht, sollte ein Rundgang vom Personal stündlich erfolgen. Würde nichts schaden. // und nun noch ein interner Vergleich zum Alex Fürth, diesen hat Regensburg klar für sich entschieden. 👍

Disappointed: We were on a tour with a couple hours for lunch and we saw this inviting restaurant which had a few people in it. We were promptly sat down and drink orders taken. The drinks came in decent time but the two cheese burgers ordered had not come for 45 mins. The table next to us seemed to be having similar issues. One of their dishes came but the other hadn’t come. I politely inquired if we our order had not been forgotten. After another 10 mins I went and looked in the kitchen galley and saw our order was not even being worked on. So we paid for the drinks and left. Sadly, the table next to us still had not received the second persons dish. I am sure there were issues with staffing as this is certainly no way to run a restaurant. I wish them well.

Richtig schöne Location, guter Kaffee und sehr nette Bedienungen. Zwei Sachen sind aber richtig schade: zum einen darf man nicht Schach oder sonst irgendwelche Gesellschaftsspiele spielen. Zum anderen wirkt die Kommunikation zwischen dem Chef (?) und seinen Angestellten manchmal ziemlich angespannt, und das verbreitet dann allgemein eine gestresste Atmosphäre.
Wunderschönes Café, bester Cappuccino. Egal ob zum Frühstück, Mittagessen oder nachmittags auf ein Stück hausgemachten Kuchen. Und Abends auf einen tollen Cocktail, ein schönes Bier oder auf ein Gläschen Wein.

If you have food restrictions or allergies, do not go here. My partner is a vegetarian and was served a beef patty last night.
I ordered the Petty Melt Burger, which has a beef patty, with a side of fries, and my partner ordered the Vegetarian Butcher Burger with a side of Hush Puppies.
When the burgers came out, the dishes were given to us according to the side we ordered. About halfway through, I took a bite of her burger because I was suspicious, and we confirmed she had been eating meat. It’s not that the plates were given to the wrong person, but the order itself got mixed up.
To make it worse, the staff simply offered to make us new burgers and did not apologize. I don’t think they realized the weight of what they had done. When brought us new burgers, we were too full to start a big new one and the mood was ruined anyway. We got them packed up, paid and left.
They wanted to charge us full price, but gave us one dish free only because we asked.
On the way out the worker at the bar finally said sorry, but as we went out the door, the waiter who took our order was smoking a cigarette and we had to walk right by him. He didn’t say anything to us, and when we looked at him, he avoided eye contact.
It’s one thing that the mistake was made, but how it was handled afterwards was so dissatisfying.

A really cosy resto-bar near the stone bridge. All the staff people were great and friendly. Their homemade blueberry shots are a must-try.

Die Escobar ist eine gemütliche Bar mit zwei Fernsehern und einem Partyraum mit Bierpong und Kicker. Die Bedienungen waren sehr freundlich und zuvorkommen. Man konnte sich super unterhalten und fantastische Goaßmass genießen
Ein spontaner Trip in die Stadt mit der Frage: Wo schauen wir das Bayernspiel und besaufen uns schön dazu…endete in der Escobar. Unsere Ansprüche waren Fussball und kühles Bier. Erwartet wurden wir jedoch von einem überaus netten Personal, sau leckeren Shots, sowie einer bis acht exquisiten Goasmass! Dazu konnte man einfach Bierpong spielen. Das mag für den ein oder anderen normal sein, unsere Erwartungen wurden dabei jedoch sowas von übertroffen. Wir waren so begeistert, dass wir direkt zwei Abende in Folge komplett im Bierpong Game gefangen waren und das auch schön bis Zapfenstreich ausgenutzt haben. Falls man das schöne Regensburg mal nochmal besucht, ist ein weiterer Abstecher in der Escobar ein Muss!

Sehr schönes und gemütliches Café. Hatten verschiedene Kaffees und Kuchen und es waren alle genau wie erhofft. Das Personal wirkt ehrlich nett, nicht künstlich freundlich. Zusammen mit der hübschen Aussicht auf die Gasse absolut zu empfehlen.
Zentral gelegenes, nettes Café, in dem es auch kleine Speisen gibt. Die Bedienung war freundlich und alles hat gut geschmeckt.

Shame because it ruined our taste and we came back to this place because on 29th Thursday June 2023 we had a very kind and friendly young lady who served us perfectly and that was the reason we came back to this place.
After our bad experience on 08/07 evening we don't want to come back more (there are many options to have dinner in Regensburg), and can't give a good reputation for this place. They should need to check who they employ as waitresses because their behavior can damage the Café reputation.
We do NOT recommend this place!

Vegetarian food smells like meat, they use the same oil to fry meat and fries. Please seperate the oils used for vegetarian and meat dishes.
Very friendly staff and tasty food. Fair prices and lots of healthy options. I didn’t want something heavy so I got breakfast for dinner, which they always have. While it doesn’t “go” with it I was pleasantly surprised that they had a locally made hard cider too (I don’t like beer).
Essen war wie immer sehr lecker, nur wurde leider in keinem Satz weder in der Karte noch von der Bedienung erwähnt das ein Ketchup zu den Pommes 70 cent extra kostet(es wurde gefragt ob man ketchup oder mayo dazu möchte und nicht mehr). Außerdem mussten wir circa 50 min auf das essen warten obwohl wir erst um 18:40 angekommen waren. Die Bedienung kam zwar öfter vorbei um zu fragen ob alles passt was aber die Wartezeit nicht ganz wieder gut machte. Es hieß von der Bedienung mehrere Male „einen kurzen Moment noch…“.
They put sugar or honey in the Ramen making it super sweet. Been several times to Japan and this has nothing to do with Ramen. Slow service, both drinks and food not served at the same time to all of us. Not impressed 👎

Hier haben wir uns unseren caipi Togo besorgt für den Sonnenuntergang am Pier vor der steinernen Brücke. Sehr lecker, groß und absolut fairer Preis.
Wir hatten hier am Freitag wahnsinnig viel Spaß beim Cocktailkurs mit unserer JGA-Crew.
Thomas hat uns erstklassige Drinks kredenzt und ließ sich auch durch Fauxpas unsererseits wie den "Flying Tin" nicht aus der Ruhe bringen.
Die Karte ist super abwechslungsreich und das Ambiente im Gewölbe richtig schön.
Wir kommen bestimmt wieder! 😊

Wunderschöne, schicke Bar mit außergewöhnlich guten Cocktails und tollem Service. Der Cocktail Workshop hat mega Spaß gemacht und wurde sehr gut vom Inhaber durchgeführt. Auf alle Fälle einen Besuch wert.
Guter Service, leckeres Frühstück, gutes Kaffee und eine tolle Lage in der Altstadt. Leider muss ich meine 5 Sterne Bewertung auf 3 senken, weil das beste Frühstück, weswegen wir hier überhaupt regelmäßig als Stammgäste mehrmals die Woche hergekommen sind , abgeschafft wurde! Das Formaggio war optisch und geschmacklich, das Beste, was dieses Café zu bieten hatte und das wurde leider von der Karte weggestrichen; ein sehr schlechte und enttäuschende Entscheidung! Somit hat sich für uns, der regelmäßige Besuch dieses Cafés erübrigt. Sehr schade!
Cozy little cafe tucked in a narrow street with a chill cafe vibe - the food here is delightful, especially their vegan offerings. The cakes are some of the best I have had. Ever. Please note the service can be a bit slow especially as this place tends to get full around dinner time, so don't expect to get in and out quickly.

Auch der Service glänzt durch Professionalität und Freundlichkeit. Sitzplätze sowohl innen als auch außen verfügbar, lediglich die Tische könnten erwas größer sein.

Wir haben direkt eine kostenlose Flasche Wasser bekommen, außerdem gab es kostenloses Popcorn zu den Cocktails. Beides wurde bei Bedarf aufgefüllt.
Besonders positiv ist uns die live Klaviermusik aufgefallen, die uns den Abend versüßt hat.
Insgesamt ein tolles Erlebnis, welches ich auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen würde!

If you're with a group of any size, it'd be a good idea to order your drink hours in advance. And then, if they're ready, pick them up and go somewhere more fun, like the golf museum or a shop that sells pickles! Those are my favorite.

Excellent place. I ordered a cheeseburguer deluxe and a lemonade
I had great coffee which actually tastes great and chocolatey. The cups are ecological...a nice touch. Also had a great vegan cookie and my friend had a vegan cake. It's really great to see so many vegan options in a cafe in Regensburg. The only bad thing was the service...it takes too long to get a coffee.

Great Burgers, tender meat, homemade sauces. The Cocktail menu is aslo quite good and they have a couple of craft beers. The atmosphere is perfect for a burger bar. Make sure to add caramelized onions to your burger, they are bomb.

Tasty and healthy food, the prep time is fast. The staff is very friendly and their mascarpone chockolate cake is heavenly.

Underground bar with without power many frills, but normally fun Karaoke Mondays. Looking forward to them as the Pandemic gets a bit better under control.

This bar is owned by brother and sister Peter and Kari.
A friend and I found this place mid-afternoon on a weekday. Their hospitality was outstanding and since we were their only two patrons at the time, we got to enjoy getting to know them over drinks. They were super fun to hang out with and the bar itself while not large was a nice little spot to spend some time in.
I would definitely go back for some drinks and to say hi to them again.

If you are a student, or you feel like you´re getting old, or you are old but would like to revive those moments and on top of that with affordable drinks.... then you should definitely pay a visit.
Hier gibt es eine große Bier- und Cocktail-Auswahl. Die Cocktails sind vom Preis her in Ordnung. Die Bar ist aufgeteilt in einen kleinen Raum im Erdgeschoss und einen kleinen Raum im 1. Stock. Im Sommer kann man auch draußen sitzen.

Easily the best and cheapest students pub you will find in Regensburg. The people there are down to earth, nice and fun. You start with a beer and the next moment you stumble out at 2am wondering how time flew by so fast (and how much money you still have on you).
