went here on my 21st birthday as someone who barely drinks and it was exactly what i was looking for. small and local and the bartender was a super welcoming and friendly guy and fun music and lots of conversations to eavesdrop on LOL
What agreat dive bar... if you're in the area this is a must stop
As a vegetarian, it can be hard to find good food in a seaside area. This place had one of the best veggie wraps I’ve ever had, and my sister got an incredible lobster roll.
I’ll start by saying, the waitstaff was great. I had fish and chips (okay) and my son had tuna tacos. The tacos looked like deep fried Doritos and the tuna had gray shiny appearance that was definitely questionable. Needless to say, my son didn’t touch it.
Food was ok. Basic bar/tavern food. Wouldn't come back. Servers were nice. Person running the desk at the front and taking people to tables had no idea what to do when more than one person was in line.

Great food. I visited this location with my co-workers. Everyone chose something different. At the table we had cheese bread, calamari, porterhouse steak, fish and chips. Lobster roll, salmon risotto. Everyone absolutely loved their meal. I additionally ordered a shrimp risotto to go. The owner delivered our food personally, and our server was great. This is a must try if you are in the area. They have outdoor seating and a rooftop deck. Enjoy
Didn’t even go in. Was thinking about it but opted for somewhere else. Didn’t seem like the solo traveler female kinda place lol but maybe next time if I have a friend.
There was a mix up and we waited quite a while for a table. We didn’t mind since we ended up getting a few drinks at the bar while we waited. We liked local IPA offerings available. Ordered the bar pretzel- yummy! Also got the Mac n cheese- generous half serving! Plenty for a full meal! Hubby got the steak tips. He wanted the mashed potatoes but kitchen had run out. Changed to baked potato which they also couldn’t do. Settled for French fries, which he wasn’t interested in eating anyway. They looked good though. So, a few mishaps but we’d be willing to come again
It's not a terrible spot.... but we had 9 people, and I think we got the "rush them out treatment." Two hairs found in one lobster roll (person did not complain). Food was average.. nothing to make me "have" to come back.
This place is so uncomfortable, how about putting in some decent chairs. Loud too. And cash only. If you're looking for a pleasant place, look elsewhere.
Food is great. Would Absolutely recommend. Pizza is incredible bar style. My only gripe is all 3 times I've been here. The host/hostess are rude. They act like they hate their job and are just snooty. Legit act like they'd prefer to be not-busy. I've been in the service industry for 20 years. Serving,Host, bus,food run, expo.
I've done Everything and I really don't appreciate it.
My advice be humble and remember what it was like two months ago when you were begging for hours. Other than that. Awesome place 💕

The manager owner, an extremely friendly person, was the go-to person. His personality and humor were always the same. Having visited more than once just for the atmosphere and comradery. Found the lobster rolls, home made pizza's and the fish and chips excellent here. Also, the Guniess on tap was spot on.

I am not in Hyannis very often... But when I do I always stop in! This is the best little dive bar in all of the cape!
Although I'm from the Cape and now live in Florida, I've never been to this sweet little local dive bar. We were there for the Super Bowl, so we brought our food in, but the bartenders were awesome, and we had a lot of fun!
My favorite restaurant and bonus!!! My favorite cocktail, the coconut margarita!!! I really should rate this place low as to guarantee we'll get seats every time, but I can't!! It's wonderful and you'll love it all!!!
Had lunch this weekend at Anejo Mexican Bistro, Hyannis food was great! Everything was fresh and they have large portions. Pictured below is the Tres Tacos ( 1 carnitas taco, 1 chicken taco and 1 carne asada) and churros. I also ordered the guacamole and Mahi Mahi tacos but no pictures. Prices very reasonable for what you get.
A really nice alternative to restaurants in Boston. Great location coupled with a lovely atmosphere and a fun variety of food and drinks make this a very memorable place.
Absolutely a great place, food, and staff. Love going there and it is always a highlight of any day. They have some discontinued menu items that they will readily make for those that remember them. I would recommend this place to anyone.
I ordered the "Vegetarian Offering" for takeout, it was a little pricey but the quality and quantity left nothing to be desired. Prompt service right after I pulled up to the takeout parking spot. Hot and cold items were separated which is not always the case. Very generous portion of guac. I feel like I won't need to eat again for about three days! Highly recommended if you're hungry.
The Chipotle beef cimichanga burrito was simply excellent, with crispy bread and a flavorful, not too strong sauce. The restaurant definitely looks clean and cozy. but the atmosphere may be too noisy for some people. I also thought it was dark, I had to use a flashlight to read the menu! but I was full and satisfied, thank you.
Bartender was rude to us. We are visiting Cape Cod but he denied us service for having out of state IDs. Said one wouldn’t “scan” on his cell phone app. Also they only accept cash??
I loved this bar. Super quirky and cool. Everyone is so friendly and the bar man makes a fantastic dirty martini!
Didn't see many authentic things on the menu here but good for what it is.
Food was fresh when it came out and service was amazing. Not a bad time or place to eat but I'm not from the area and have avoided Mexican food in the North East for a reason.
Margaritas are good but priced high for what you get.

Food was okay at best. I got the bologenese and it was pretty tasteless, and despite claiming 3 meats there was almost none in it. The fries were severely overcooked, borderline burnt. Only passable thing was the garlic bread.

Food & drinks come in a timely manner but I’m disappointed what can I say just a bunch of creeps will approach your female party lack of respect towards adults not family friendly so don’t bring children. Will give it another chance but the wife refuses to go back but If you do choose to dine please be aware of your loved ones may be taking advantage of. Takeout would be your best option.

The atmosphere here is pretty good. I had a Paloma drink, my friend had a regular margarita. Mine tasted like flavored water, he had one sip of his and couldn’t drink it. The service was good, the food was just ok. I’m pretty sure we won’t be going back.
The place is cool but be careful with your drinks at 1am bc they come and take it without telling you, they don’t announce the last call they just kick you out.
This place was great! Our waitress was very tentative and made a great recommendation for a drink for my wife! They have Blue Moon on tap! That's always a plus!. Food was fresh and tasted wonderful!!

From the outside this restaurant didn’t look like much but after surpassing the host stand I was very surprised. The entire outside of the space is designed thoughtfully with all tables placed underneath a large tree. My party and I dined here for lunch and our expectations of this restaurant were exceeded. Our waitress was SO attentive when it came to getting drinks started, grabbing extra napkins & utensils, and answering food restriction questions. The atmosphere was lively with spirited spanish music flowing through the speakers.
The food at this restaurant was 5/5 and if I could give it 6/5 stars I would. Chips and salsa were brought to the table a few minutes after we sat down which were very good. We ordered the guacamole as a starter and it did not disappoint. This guacamole reminded me of the one that you can buy at whole foods which is very good; super creamy and savory. I shared the cod fish tacos which were perfect. I had the street corn as a side and I can’t recommend this more, I don’t know what they put on it but it was delicious and I have been trying to replicate their recipe since.
If you are in Hyannis please stop by this restaurant, if you don’t want to wait go at lunch and expect a wait at dinner.

Portion sizes were large, and the food was very good while being reasonably priced! There should be something for everyone to eat! There is very much a casual family restaurant vibe.

Great Tex-Mex restaurant here in Cape Cod. The service and food were great.

We stopped at this super popular restaurant for dinner on our last night in Hyannis. The crowd made sense once we saw the menu, again when we got our drinks and of course the food. Service was great (attentive without being intrusive) and everything we ordered was great. Next time, I would like to spend a bit more time sampling their extensive tequila and mezcal selection.
This is what constitutes a “dive bar” on Cape Cod. It holds up and the decorations are interesting, especially the decoupaged vintage photos. Definitely not the quintessential dive bar one would look for, but this place holds their own in a tourist area where nothing is really impressive. It’s obviously a hangout for locals and open late with karaoke that attracts a young annoying crowd. As overpriced as all of Cape Cod and comfortable enough, but for sure catering to a young crowd

The quarterdeck lounge is a dive bar with a cozy atmosphere. I enjoyed a delicious dirty martini at affordable prices. They only accept cash and have two billiard tables for entertainment.
The tree we sat under was super cool! The ambience was great, and service was great! Free chips & salsa which is rare anymore. The margs were fantastic, and everyone enjoyed their meal. Overall - great restaurant. Definitely busy on a summer Saturday night so get there early for a table without a wait. We waited about 20 minutes when we got in line at 5:45, and we wandered next door to wait!
LOVED my stay on main st just for this restaurant!! the first night was so much fun there was live music and the food was amazing!! the crab cake was soooo good!!! i got the milanase and it was perfect!!! my husband really enjoyed his steak tips! the drinks were amazing I loved the Rio de Janeiro and the green eyed girl!! then we went the next day just for drinks at the bar and it was great they had a dj and the vibe was awesome!!
The food was good but the service not so much. It started off good. Our server came over quickly and we had our first drinks right away, but that was it. It took forever to get our second drinks and they brought out our dinner before the appetizers. Don’t know if they had a manager on because that’s is something that should have been brought to them and they should have come over to address it. Mistakes happen but something should be done when they do. But I will say they graciously removed the appetizer we didn’t get from the check.

I had Taco Tuesday here for the July 4th. The server was extremely helpful and knowledgeable on the menu. The service good paced even with it so busy. The chips and salsa as I waited was delicious. The meal was perfect. I had a beef burrito.
Memphis Sam’s BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich is amazing, any of the fruit margaritas are a good choice, and the service is always amazing!
my best friend and I went on vacation last May .. since we hadn't been to Cape cod for so long we asked around where to go to get a drink and have fun even in the off-season before memorial Day, and we were told to go to the Duck Inn and Embargo

I think the locals don't care for scattered tourists that come before the season because nobody really talks to us, although the stuff on the walls is awesome and that's why I gave it more stars!!! the pool tables and arcade games are awesome. I realize that locals that live there year-round don't want to talk to anyone but pretty girls or cute guys but maybe more of an effort on the part of the owners and bartenders to just asked how we're doing or whatever. the guy that checks the IDS and a few other patrons and management were yelling and the guy checking the IDS appeared to be drunk. I only say that because I don't want them slapped with some big fine. definitely a local spot but if you're gorgeous go there you'll have a good time

Not impressed with this place. Ordered a pork meatball and got beef and sauce from a can. $13 for one meatball is a bit much especially when it tastes so bad. The wedge salad wasn’t even a wedge, they must have been trying to save lettuce because the layered a few pieces to make it look big and it wasn’t. Another waste of money at $14 for the plate. Save your money!
What a dump. And I loved everything about it. If you miss you ferry to Nantucket. A must stop. And when on Nantucket. Stop by ack natural. Nantucket’s cannabis dispensary @acknatural.

Atmosphere was horrible because the DJ wasn't good and don't let me get started on the staff.
The waitress/bartender outside was so rude I'm still shocked. I ordered 4 drinks and when I left the tip she was extremely ungrateful and complained about the tip and making faces because she wasn't satisfied with it. I don't have much but I still left her as much as I could. I will not be coming back. She had blonde hair, I don't know her name.
I will choose Embargo from now on because at least their staff is nice.

Down to earth staff and customers. Local bar where they remember your name and drink. My husband and I love going here for a hard drink and conversation. We love dive bars and this is our favorite, hands down. They play good movies and sports and it’s always a good time. Starting to feel like our home bar since we have been going for a few months now. All around great place.
Get the QD Apple Pie Shots! Made with real cinnamon sticks. Careful tho: they'll creep on you.
I thought the aroma was a nice little place to play pool. Until the bartender told our party that we couldn't order anything else from the bar because my friend and I had been there for over 90 minutes. I have never been to a place that denied service and cash due to specific period of time... worst over you can't even take you drink or food that you bought there around where you play pool. So perhaps you have to walk away and leave your drink or food if you wanna play pool.
We Enjoyed playing pool @ the 19th Hole Tavern, have never been there before. It was recommended to us. The staff was very helpful and friendly. A Great Time was had by the 4 people, that played pool. Definitely plan on going back there again.
Under new management. Great outdoor patio with a good selection of affordable drinks. Free snacks and a friendly bartender make it even better. The perfect place to grab a drink before or after dinner.

One month ago I rated this as 5 star and said “Great new outdoor venue on Main Street. Excellent selection of beers and cocktails. Comfy seats while you enjoy some tapas. Best of all there’s no loud live music so you can relax with your beer and simply watch the world pass by.”
Today I asked for lunch and drinks. After being given our drinks we were told the chef wasn’t in so there was no food. It surprises me that only after serving my drinks they realized there was no chef; not really on if you ask me. They now have 101FM blasting out so loud you can’t talk to the person next to you and the open air feel is somewhat destroyed by smoking being allowed 5 feet from the tables. Great location and fabulous decor but sorry, many changes needed before I could recommend here.

I read the bad reviews and still decided to check this place out after reading the good reviews. There's always two sides to a story. Attached photo is a sign before you enter that states there is a dress code and back up IDs may be needed. My out of state license was sufficient, and I was greeted and served within 2 minutes. Bar tender during my visit is a great guy with knowledge of the area and was able to help me out with what I should see or do around here. It is cash only. Nice pool tables, multiple TVs, and the crowd made for a great visit!
