We had a great time at Gin lane bar! The staffs were very friendly and helped us pick out some amazing drinks. The cocktail experience was so unique and enjoyable. Overall, it was a fantastic time, and we highly recommend it.
When I tell you, this is the funkiest cocktail experience of my life I’m not joking.
This is definitely the first time my cocktail has come complete with the sounds of the ocean on an iPod shuffle, an spritz of ocean spray and a conch shell, we absolutely loved it!
This is definitely an experience for the senses, and the addition of sound and smell with the cocktails really was the cherry on top and nothing I’ve ever experienced before.
I won’t ruin the surprise, but you NEED to order the fire starter 🔥
This is a great spot for a fun night out and definitely somewhere I’ll be returning to!

So nice and unique cocktail bar. The staff was so friendly and took time to show me all the cocktails served with no ice. We got 2 tasty cocktails served in very memorable way. You should come and experience yourself as the experience will come with smoke, scents and great vision.
Come to this place if you want a step above your normal “drinks” night. Every cocktail is an experience - some even coming with music, incense, and more for an entire sensory experience. Highly recommend for cocktail lovers!
I love Gin Lane & the whole area around Spice Alley. This is a great stop for pre dinner drinks or a date. Loved the cocktail flair!
Quirky, fun, entertaining, raucous little bar. Does amazing cocktails and it’s an entertainment space too. Never had a bad time at Knox Street. Recommended.

Incredibly good service and a diverse range of yummy cocktails made by friendly and dedicated staff members. Authentic old world charm within the venue and a cool place to relax with friends and indulge your taste buds.
I came here last week and I was surprised about how well prepared and presented the cocktails are.
The bar offers a huge selection of different kinds of gins, something you won't find anywhere else.
The staff was also very helpful and friendly.
I can definitely recommend coming here for drinks!

I came to Gin Lane with my boyfriend last night and we had a great experience at this bar! The waitress was lovely and helped us choose exactly what we were looking for. The presentation of the cocktails was also super cool. Overall great experience!
In an excellent location, this bar has charm on every surface. From the led mop heads to the orange plastic water fountain, there's so much to look at. And then there are the drinks! The owner and bartender that served me were super friendly and helpful. I tried out the cocktail wheel and had the pleasure of trying a garage slapper made with honey from hives kept on the top of the building, it was delicious. There's a classic bar area, a little hideaway room (that could be a former dungeon or recording studio) and a dancefloor. Highly recommend this place as a local haunt, tourist must see and perfect private venue. Thanks again for an incredible night 🥰
Went in on a Friday night and met the local tavern Mage Lewi. He was the highlight. He showed us amazing magic coupled with the ‘dad-est’ of jokes and the thickest of frames. Give this man a raise! Drinks and food were not bad either!
First time visiting, We booked a table in the tavern - The food was delicious and the decor was awesome.
We were interrupted mid meal by a mystical man going by the name of Lewi - Lewi was no ordinary man, He was a man of great power and deception, With whimsical hand movements he showed us many magic tricks, revealing to us that he is the in house wizard.
An excellent little bit of entertainment throughout our meal and he returned on multiple occasions to show us more tricks.
We also hired some board games / card games and played them, Highly recommend Trust me I’m a doctor.
We then went upstairs to explore a little, There’s a great cocktail bar upstairs which is all backlit with LED’s and decorated very nicely.
Also a cool e sports lounge and arcade - Shout out to the legend working up at the arcade who shouted us a few games <3

Went for a few drinks with some mates last night at the tavern. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Highlight of our night was Lewis the magician, who was warm, funny, and a lot of fun! The magic was amazing, but the real magic was the kindness and sensitivity he showed towards my colleague who was having a difficult day. Will definitely be back!
Had a great time here with friends on a Friday night. We had food, drinks and played board games all night – the highlight was probably the magician named Lewie, who came up to us and performed all sorts of mind-blowing tricks. He then gave us voucher cards so we can play the arcade games upstairs for free. Amazing atmosphere and vibe, I definitely recommend!
Great vibe, amazing service, your waiters are lovely and efficient! Kendall in particular was great :) Your staff are very valuable to your establishment, give them a pat on the back. Food is slightly overpriced but you pay for the atmosphere I suppose. Very cool!
A surprisingly unique and fun venue for drinks and dinner. The board games and arcade are great, but the real attraction was the close up magician lewi we met in the bar. His tricks have made me ponder the existence of magic. I would come back just for him.
Enjoyed a booth to eat dinner and play the Switch with family. We were using a wheelchair for our youngest child, and the staff were particularly helpful to ensure he was accommodated, helping us to use an elevator to see all the rooms. What a great place, but the kindness and knowledge of staff made it even more enjoyable.
I visited with some friends on a whim one night. It was a lovely, open space, with what appeared to be some groups playing Dungeons and Dragons. It looked like everyone was having such a fun time, and the whole vibe was friendly and welcoming! The food was tasty, and the bartenders were very helpful and willing to answer questions to help me pick my drink for the night! Will be back for sure!

You’re absolutely missing out if you don’t try their beer battered fries with the aioli dip. Super filling and large quantities.

Hands down, by far one of Sydney's hidden and quirkiest bars not far from Central & Redfern! Bjorn and the crew were very gracious in hosting our collab DJ & Drinks social group on relatively short notice with very easy equipment setup while booking the entire venue. A must-visit to check out how one converted his garage into a public establishment.

Great rooftop bar in Chippendale. Had a lovely atmosphere, good drinks at reasonable prices, and friendly staff.
Visited after a movie on Saturday evening at about 930pm. Only a handful of patrons and the bar was closed. Looked like it would have been nice
Amazing range of cocktails, great sound, eclectic decor, honestly I couldn’t imagine it getting any better. Highly recommend the Whiskey Sour which has a generous serving of fresh honeycomb from their own bees, or the This is my Jam with candied watermelon!! yum!! Can’t wait to return
We came to the rooftop bar on a Sunday afternoon, it was super quiet and more shady than expected. The cocktail range is fabulous, and there are lots of food options available. I enjoyed the icecream flavoured cocktail (the pink one! 🌸) and the watermelon sugar spritz (the orange one! 🍊). To access you will need staff from the Old Clare to buzz you up! Make sure you bring a jacket as the sun doesn’t hit the rooftop like the photos online suggested ☀️

I noticed a sign for oysters half off Monday through Saturday and today is Monday when I asked about their oysters I was told they sold out yesterday which is Sunday yet they don't serve oysters on Sunday?... When I asked the chef he said he's not sure. I asked if they can accommodate and give us something else instead for the half off he actually laughed in my face, such nice great customer service. Then proceeded to offer me something from the menu and when I asked what I get some kind of discount for it again laughed in my face and said no the prices are there.
A nice hotel bar with outdoor seating, a nice cocktail and snack menu, with a hospitable staff.
Great small bar with lots of character, a lot of effort has gone in the decorations. Has a large on tap beer selection and plenty of cocktail variations to try. I would definitely come back.
