It's a nice place with exceptionally good meat and fish. It's really focused on these and there are little vegetables or potato accompanying the meals. However, you get ample side of bread. Only a few vegetarian options, the artichoke were good and the mushroom risotto was very good! The desert was also good. Had a nice typical drink "crema de orugo" or something like this which was really better than other places. I also enjoyed my wine. Thanks for a wonderful evening. No vegan options for a main meal, only mushroom carpaccio starter and the artichoke. Maybe if you call in advance (which I didn't).

Terrible experience. I’m travelling alone and I was curious to try some local food so I found this restaurant, I’m only staying one night in Bilbao and this was the closest restaurant to my hotel. I went there quite early , it was literally empty. Only a couple was having dinner. As I walked in The waiter looked annoyed when I asked to have dinner instead of eating at the bar. Bad start. As I sat down he brought the menu ( literally threw it on the table) and was pressuring me to order , he told me I had to get at least two dishes. I wasn’t that hungry but I felt pressured to get two dishes. He didn’t propose anything, he was visibly annoyed. Afterwards, as he was walking away he asked me what drinks I wanted, I said white wine and water, I don’t speak Spanish so I was trying to explain but he was half way there only turning his head. Totally careless. He came back, his colleague brought me the first dish ( which was only salmon) and he poured a red wine in my glass. I couldn’t even choose the wine, and I wanted a white, but there was no way to interact ( I mean, I was completely disregarded by him ). Second dish arrived shortly after. After all this, I couldn’t wait to leave. I only asked for a coffee and got up to pay as I didn’t even wanted to wait at the table for the bill. I was feeling so uncomfortable. The Bill was 52 euros … I was there for just half an hour, I never had to eat so fast in a restaurant. I’m still shocked. The food was ok, good but nothing special. Probably the worst culinary / service experience of my life.

A good Basque restaurant. If you are around try this place not to take any risks. Good service. Good food. Good wines.. Turbot fish was especially good..

Came after seeing good reviews in Google Maps. However, had an unpleasant service experience with the man at the bar when asking for a table. I hoped that at least the food would be good but the carrillada and the mashed potatoes were very bitter, worst I ever had after living for several years in Spain, the wine was good but the quantity was ridiculous. There are much better restaurants in Bilbao at that price range. Overall, an overrated restaurant.

Delicious well served food, all the options in menu seems very interesting. Absolutely amazing fresh seafood. Perfect very kind service . Wonderful place to have lunch or dinner with friends.

The most delicious fresh fish! If you're in the mood for fish, head here-- but be sure to book a table, this small restaurant is very popular. It's a bit pricey, but the fish for two or more -- basically a whole fish, is the way to go. We had the rodaballo, which is a medium firm white fish from local waters and the zamburinas- scallops. We saw the white asparagus (in season now) on other tables and wished we had ordered them, too. Your server will filet and serve your fish table side along with a nice pil-pil sauce. Yum! Save room for desert if you can!

Amazing tapas and great wine! The best I’ve had in Spain. I loved the Txangurro mejillón (mussel gratin) and the Tortilla de patata. Very special, and not expensive.
