Whenever we visit from Melbourne we love visiting On Fire to have nice chargrilled meat. Well we returned to this restaurant after 1 year and I believe it has changed owners. Let’s start with service, it was good with staff being super attentive, the gentleman at the bar was constantly on his phone which was not a good look so I hope it was related to reservations, if it wasnt maybe consider doing it out of site of guests. Now the food, we ordered the shared platter. Food arrived on time and it was hit and miss, chicken was pink and undercooked, meat was overcooked, sausage was good. Both meat and chicken lacked seasoning which was super disappointing. Overall we will not be retuning to this restaurant which is a shame. Please speak with the chef to think about seasoning and that should go along way.

Celebrated my birthday at On Fire with my family last night, and it was amazing. We had the meat platter and seafood platter, it was really tasty and great value. The service is impeccable. Big thanks for the team!👏

Impressed with the attentive staff at this restaurant! I have a vinegar allergy, and when I inquired about the octopus and greek salad, they promptly checked with the kitchen and offered alternative options. Their proactive approach to accommodating dietary needs made my dining experience safe and enjoyable. Thumbs up for excellent customer service!

The host made us feel welcomed and important. Food was 5*. We highly recommend this place.

The food variety that is around is incredible. This time, it's Middle Eastern cuisine at Mecca Bah.
Make an evening of it, and enjoy what they produce, which is nothing short of delicious food.
The staff are attentive and are good at what they do.

Don't judge only based on reviews only. It depends on your taste. We found it very tasty. The atmosphere is good. The staff are so friendly. The meals are really tasty. The cocktails are great.

The food was lovely, we enjoyed it. Just keep in mind this is a middle Eastern-INFLUENCED restaurant, so don't expect high authenticity of Middle Eastern food; just my opinion as someone who has lived in the Middle East for over a decade.
Good menu varieties. Not so friendly staff.
When we ask for the bill at the end of dining, the waitress throws the bill at our table, and then she just left without saying a word. I thought she would come back with the CC machine or at least tell us where to pay. She just left to different areas of the restaurant, never look back - ouch!

Charming and tasty local taverna. Tucked away from the main drag, this restaurant provides genuine service and well portioned meals. Lamb shoulder was outstanding.

As a Moroccan familiar with Middle Eastern cuisine, my visit to Mekkah Bah was very disappointing. The food lacked authentic flavors, the service was inattentive, and the prices were steep. The overall atmosphere added to the disappointment. Unfortunately, this experience didn't meet expectations based on positive reviews.

We had a banquet menu with 3 main choices for 6 people. The food was absolutely delicious, their cocktails were great. Staff members are very attentive and friendly.

•Trio dip: all 3 dips are fantastic, you can taste they are made with fresh, good quality ingredients, the house bread was delicious.

•Beef ribs: pulling apart and juicy, comes with the best sweet potato chips, so good!

•Chicken kebabs: great, the rice comes with is really delicious, the texture is great as Al Dante.

•Squid: amazing! Broccolini was so juicy and crunchy, it’s bedded on couscous and some sort of purée- so delicious.

•lamb pizza: kids loved them

•dessert was Baklavas & Turkish delight: goooood!

It was a great value for money and the portions were perfect as we were full and took away the left overs.

We will be back for more, thank you very much for the great experience and the service.

Best sourced lamb in the country, so we were told. And it was delicious, lamb cutlets were definitely some of the nicest I've had in a while, lamb & the chicken souvlaki also delicious, the Greek sausage had some nice spice to it & the goat was amazing so tender & the seasoning yum.
Good Greek salad, lemon potato was a hit with the family.
Overall, it was a wonderful experience. I felt most welcome by the staff.
It was suggested that we try the meat platter and it was such a good choice, it fed the whole family, it has to be the best value and best option to get a bit of everything. Although there were a lot more things on the menu I wanted to try, there was no way we could fit it all in.
Tzatziki was so nice and must have been freshly made, I hadn't tasted it that fresh before.

Really it was a great experience, traditional flavour, atmosphere & staff.

My partner and I booked for 730pm on a Wednesday night, and by 815pm they had all the furniture packed up around us, banging and crashing, ruining any chance of a relaxing meal. I asked what time they close, which apparently was 9pm. The response was that if she didn't get the staff to help her pack up now, she'd be there doing it on her own. Very disappointing to a night we were looking forward to.
On a positive note, the meat platter was delicious.

3.5 stars- reasonable meal good services, and a nice authentic Greek atmosphere. We ordered the saganaki, loukaniko for starters (to share), and the seafood platter for 2. The starters were tasty and nicely cooked. The seafood platter was generous and all elements were tasty (although I’ve had better mussels). Calamari I think is the frozen tubes type but very tender. A lot of chips and potatoes. My main criticism is the bugs - overcooked and 1 half was an empty shell.

My partner and I have dined at Mecca Bah a couple of times now and it’s been great each time.

Both times we have ordered the platter which is just perfect for the both of us, we also add a side of salad for more variation. The platter comes with different meats such as chicken kebab, lamb kebab, lam cutlets and beef ribs and some breads and sauces which are just delicious.

They have a good selection of drinks and cocktails too which are also great!

Atmosphere is nice and upbeat and staff have always been attentive.

Company failed to update these venue google & website which is now closed permanently. The phone number still rings? So we wasted a lot of money in Ubers, there still a inform bar there (I guess they take advantage of this situation) please don’t waste you time.

Went there for Mother's Day lunch with 14 people. Excellent service by Maria and matched by excellent and delicious food. Maria was very gracious and friendly and really made our day special. The food was great and did not have to wait long despite it being a full restaurant. Definitely recommended for large or small groups. We'll be back. 😊

Beef brisket is to die for!! So it's worth even the Saturday night dinner rush anytime! Cocktails were also on point every time

This place is such a fabulous idea. What a beautiful location, view and atmosphere. Well run and kept immaculate- literally staff even sweep down chairs to keep the sand off in between bookings. It’s been a bad weather summer and the staff have shown huge resilience to persevere and keep making this a success. Such nice staff- from offering to take photos to literally taping together broken high heels for patrons - they are legends. Good choice of local beers which is nice to see. This should be a permanent addition to the Gold Coast. Keep up the good work guys!!!!

We had a great evening, even though the weather turned on us and the sky opened up, all the staff were super accomodating and helpful.

This place is insane. AVC-owned 👍. Please let me know if your want to bring this concept to Coffs Harbour, NSW— happy to help develop. This is not a restaurant, it’s a beach club so your expectations of food quality need to be reasonable. For a beach club (I’ve seen a couple more in other countries), they do a good job with food. Location, drinks, staff, music, atmosphere, service, use of Mr. Yum— exactly what I’ve been looking for in Oz. We need more of this!

A little bit of the Las Vegas day clubs comes to the GC! Unbeatable location, great views plus cool tunes to chill and sip during sunsets - a must do! Moreton Bay Bug & Prawn roll was the pick of the menu. I was well looked after by staff members Greg, Maddy and Madison and totally recommend it to others. Can't wait to get back there before it closes!
