Reviews

Marymount is the worst school I've ever been to the point where I want to leave ASAP. If I'm 1min late into the class, I get 45min of detention. Classmates suck (Except my friends of course), and French Class is hella hard.
Edit: My principal has punished me for expressing this and I'm black, but I'll keep my comment till the end of time

A very educational place for teenagers.

It is very fancy but it is also very expensive, the students where very sexist and treated the girls like trash

My son is happy here

Best teachers and principals I have ever had!
They are so kind and helpful, I mean I love this school.

Poor teachers poor class curriculum

Very friendly staff and efficient

I was only here for 6 months when I was 15 years old but it was a life changing experience. A broad and diverse set of international students, inspiring professors in every subject and the right amount of studying and socialization.

When I came to Kells 3 years ago, I was a depressed and extremely insecure boy because of the constant bullying I had from my previous school. Fortunately, I switched schools and ended up here. At Kells, I realized that I was more than what I thought I was. I felt more than just being a living punching bag that would get physically and psychologically harassed just because I was a bookworm. I felt like an actual living breathing human. The teachers were fair and definitely not the type who would increase or decrease your child's grade because of favoritism.
During my time there, my grades were higher than ever. I was in the honour rolls for the first time (First Honours) which is something I would never get in my previous school. It was surreal how I became an average student to being one of the best in my class.
Next month, I am going to study Health Science at a prestigious cegep.

I went to the original Marymount b4
It switched in from St Luc in 84.
Even Then
It had Amazing Teachers!
1 of my Teachers?
Mr Scanlan who taught me English
He left and worked at Loyola High on Sherbrooke.
He taught Football
Then
Mr Kofe
Reason that I remember SO well?
Kids (as kids do)
Used TO stand outside the classroom door
And Yell
How do you like your Coffee?
I like My Coffee Crisp!
Back then
I think that's about AS Bad/Cruel
As
Bullying Went
There were Exceptions
But
There Always
But they'd Get Shut Down by Others
VERY
VERY QUICKLY!!

MR. CHARLES IS THE BEST MATH TEACHER EVER, HE HELPS ME WITH ALL MY HOMEWORK AND HAS CARRIED ME THROUGH SEC 1 TILL SEC 4 HE HAS A GREAT BEARD TOO.

Attended late 60's and early 70's. It looks like it has modernized quite a bit since then. Such as being co-ed. When I was there some senior teachers still wore robes on occasion. They used corporal punishment too. Certainly better than the public school alternatives back then. You get what you pay for. I have a master's degree from Harvard University and am close to retiring from a teaching career in South Florida..

Amazing school with top-notch facilities, a wonderful staff and students who are polite, friendly and caring. My kids would have loved it there, as would I, had it been a co-ed school when I was that age.

As an alumnus of the school I can say that my school years there were one of the two greatest formative influences on the man I am today. If you believe you cannot afford to send your son, apply anyways, as the school maintains a generous bursary programme.

Thanks to Kells Academy Highschool that helped my son completely success. Most of teachers are very nice and patience. My son is continuing to study there until he finishes his high school.

I wholeheartedly give Kells Academy 5 stars! My son, who graduated in June, attended Kells from grades 9-11, and my daughter is now in Middle School in grade 8. I am happy to say that both have excelled in all areas of school life since joining Kells, which is why I highly recommend the Elementary, Middle School and High School. I first visited Kells Academy a few years ago when I was searching for prospective schools for my children. I immediately sensed that Kells was the right place for my kids. Its small and intimate setting is highly conducive to learning. I was very impressed with the great quality and experience of teachers and loved the warm and nurturing atmosphere of the school. Those initial feelings have only grown stronger over the years. The truest testament being that my kids absolutely love Kells and look forward to going to school every day (which is not an easy feat for a school to accomplish!) Marla Pearlman is a wonderful Principle at the Elementary School. She is always super encouraging and highly supportive of her students. Neil Banerjee is an outstanding Principle. He is involved in every aspect of the High School, knows his students inside out and manages to find the right balance between being tough and no-nonsense, and caring and supportive at the same time. His time and dedication are truly exemplary, and I have personally appreciated all the time he has given me whenever I have asked to meet with him. I also admire the fact that Kells Academy, under the guidance of Director and Founder Irene Woods, continues to actively seek new pathways to grow, flourish and excel. I couldn’t recommend Kells Academy enough to parents who are searching for high quality education in a small, warm, unique and highly supportive environment for their children!

To say that this high school exceeds expectations feels like an understatement. Kells keeps surprising us when we least expect. This is our third year with Kells, but we were impressed from the very first day. The connection was immediate. We felt like everyone at Kells already knew our children before. It's a very rare feeling. And it was a good sign of things to come. The principal and all the personnel are always nice and friendly. How they know each student in great detail amazes me. The teachers are outstanding. They have high standards and high expectations, and their innovative methods of teaching are extremely effective. And they do care about each child individually, like a good uncle or aunt. And kids love them. When your children keep praising their teachers, regardless of the grades, it means a lot. The school has a ton of extracurricular activities. We were blown away by the Kells musical at the end of the school year. Like a WOW! :) Our youngest child will start Kells High School next year, and we couldn't be more grateful. Our family feels blessed that we have Kells in our lives. We highly recommend Kells to all the parents who are looking for an amazing school that their kids will love, and for an absolute peace of mind that their teachers and staff will provide.

My husband & I give 5 stars to Kells & we'd give more if we had that option. Our nephew attends the high school and we have been consistently impressed with the principal, the faculty and the culture. The teachers are amazing with the students. Their focus on each student so as to ensure his or her success, how they deal with any challenges a student may have, and their overall compassion and kindness, makes Kells one incredible school. As for the principal, Mr. Banerjee has his finger on the pulse of the school and the students. It is most impressive to see how he knows what makes his students tick and his genuine encouragement of each of them. Probably most telling is the respect the students have for Mr. Banerjee and their teachers. If you are at the school, you can feel the extremely positive vibe. The curriculum is excellent and we encourage any parent who is seeking a positive, warm, success-oriented and strong curriculum to consider Kells. The same can be said of their sports teams and clubs. They are conducted in the best of ways. In short, we will always be incredibly grateful to Ms. Woods for her wonderful school.

My kids (grade 3 and grade 9) started school this year at Kells academy and I was really impressed from the academic level.
Very professional , high academic level , high knowledge and very user friendly applications for parents. The school made a full presentation showing the possible roadmap of our kids so we have a clear picture from begining.
This success is really on all levels specially the principals Special thanks for the Super Team with Principals Mr. Neil and Ms. Pearlman , staff and teachers whom i really appreciate for all the support provided for our kids.
Thanks Again

Great school with a wide range of options for learning plus the implementation of an IB programme. Cradle to grave support of the Old Boys network.

LCC not only offers a variety of sport options, but a great environment to learn and grow as a student. There are numerous academic activities and clubs to join, which are superior to other schools. An example of this is the Fab Lab design studio, where you can sew, access machinery and 3D print designs.
I’ve been at this school since Kindergarten and I have no complaints. I’ve had such a good experience not only with the academics, but with the students and staff as well.

The reviews are hilarious- as they are mostly based on the great facilities. This is a school that looks to nurture leadership and problem solving. It's a worthy investment for parents who see the value of an LCC education.

From what people told me, Marymount is great. I know at least three people who went there. I'm afraid that this school might shut down in a few years because not that many students go there anymore. So the teachers are getting paid by international students who go there. We need to have more people who go there. more domestic students gotta go there. It's a public school which requires students to wear uniform. That's good because parents don't have to go on a tight budget for no reason. Just letting you know Google Maps.

I am now a student at this school. It is a good school for international students. The people are very friendly and kind. I have felt welcome in this school since I first arrived 3 years ago. I also live in the school residence. It has a good location and it is a great way to get to know other students, especially since we are alone and far from our countries. I have really enjoyed my time here. The teachers and students are great and it is probably the best part of my life!

I cannot say enough good things about this school. Staff members are professional and caring, They truly have the best interests of the students at heart, and unlimited patience. The school offers a wide variety of enriching activities for the children, and is kept very clean.

Excellent school for boys. Run with care and compassion combined with discipline and respect. Gives opportunities to all boys even those less academically gifted like mine...so long as he is doing his best they are there to support him. Incredible to find a progressive and modern school where our boys can be surrounded by like-minded individuals and their families who still maintain fundamental core values. Welcoming community of parents. Can't say enough good about them. Pity that there are not more schools like Loyola.

Definitely not worth the money. Does not even offer bilingual education to international students. NOT an international school.

as a college student. I wish i never attended this school. did not feel like it was educating, just funzies, most teachers do not even give out homework. ALL Students are treaTED THE SAME WAY AS THE KIDS WHO HAVE ADHD, OR OTHER DISABILITIES. does not prepare you well enough for cegept

One of the great high schools. I learned a lot had some good experiences. Some bad. Made friends that were family and had some people hate me and some diss like me part of growing up. I learnt most of my subjects very well. I learned about myself and created my Mr. blue persona that's on YouTube at this school. This school is amazing. I was one of the slow kids that used humor to deflect my inner struggles and not once did any kid or teacher make fun of me for it. They helped .and when I was in the wrong they still helped me.Many great experiences at this school. I recommend it no matter where you stand on life you will find yourself.

Loyola calls itself a Christian school yet every year, it kicks out young teenagers who do not live up to a certain standard. An adolescent deserves patience, love and guidance especially if he is having a hard time---not a kick in the teeth. Loyola loves its flashy help the poor and save our planet projects (the ones that the boys can later put on their resumes) but it lacks in basic compassion toward its own students. They are Elitists with a catchy but meaningless "man for others" slogan. I recommend you send your son elsewhere.

Yes, its very beautiful and easy to locate at. I like the campus of Loyola High school.
I love the place its great school, I read the information and photos.
I am very interested to improve the career I am dreaming and continue my study, graduate and have a lot of experience, abilities and opportunity to use my skills in future life.
Thank you Loyola High School for seeing the place to work and study.
You have a nice day and "God Bless"!

I visited this place to sing for a concert with the boys. It was clean, modern looking, and spacious. Perfect learning atmosphere (although I've never attended this school)

Not really organized for students

Worst administration ever got expelled for not doing my. Homework

Good school nothing could be better

LCC is a challenging, engaging and inspiring school. The school has taken pride in their beautiful campus and facilities with long lasting tradition. My kids love it!

The school principal is excellent ,almost the teachers are expert but a few of those aren't good enough ,

The teachers there are amazing willing to help you all the time. The school is also an environment where bullying is really low due to the kindness of every student there.

All three of my sons had a fabulous Loyola experience. They are all 'men for others' and have bright futures ahead of them thanks to Loyola H.S.
