Just Enrolled my son at this school. One member of the staff was extremely helpful and very understanding even though the office was technically closed. She was so accommodating with handing me all the important materials needed for my son to be fully prepared for him to start his classes. I was super appreciative of all of her help.

PLEASE READ THIS IN ENTIRETY BEFORE CONSIDERING SENDING YOUR CHILDREN TO DPAC. I was a student at Agassi from 8th grade until 10th. That's when I first heard about the consideration of a deal selling us to this company based in New York that produces schools. I considered transferring to another high school just because of some of the rumors I had heard, but after talking with several family members, I reluctantly returned to DPAC for my junior year. One of the main things that influenced my decision was the promise that graduation requirements would not change for juniors and seniors because we were already set on the Agassi and CCSD requirements. Well, they lied to us. By the second week of school, we'd already had 2 schedule changes and all graduation requirements were changed forcing seniors and juniors to take extra classes we weren't prepared or planning to take. I had to show the CCSD grad. requirements of 2 credits of a foreign language on my transcript in order to be removed from a Korean class. Them changing all of our requirements caused a lot of seniors to be short a lot of credits, meaning a lot of them probably wouldn't graduate on time. This made a lot transfer to other high schools where they could graduate on time. So for the first year of DPAC's existence, they only had 7 graduates out of a class of nearly 40. I pushed through my junior year, although a lot of the teachers I depended on had left or been fired. The principal even held a town hall to announce that he was leaving us. Then came the debacle of my senior year, the year where I'm supposed to figure out what college I want to go to while also attending prom, grad night, a senior lock-in, and having so many more opportunities. Well, the first thing that went wrong was more of my teachers were quitting or getting fired for "not teaching the students the DP way". Then the principal, Christina Bentheim, quit on us, taking her 2 besties, the student council advisor and the registrar, with her. So the founding Executive Director, Adam Johnson, took over as the principal as well as still overseeing the elementary and middle schools. So I took my classes as best as I could, my teachers were trying to hang in there for us, all the while more and more was being taken from us seniors. Our senior lock-in was a mess. Our grad night got canceled because they didn't inform us of it happening in enough time for us to come up with the $250/person needed. Our entire high school had an emergency town hall informing us that DPAC was not a NCAA accredited school so if any of our prominent sports players wanted to play D1 sports in college, they could not. This made a lot more students leave because AGASSI was known for the basketball and football teams. Everywhere you went, someone knew of Trevor Diggs and Keith Jones. So this was a major disappointment. Teachers who hadn't planned on becoming advisors of clubs were immediately thrown into the position (s/o to Ms. Maria Leon for becoming the student council advisor and trying your best to make the most of our senior year). This school does not believe in substitutes. They force teachers to give up their prep periods and cover classes than to hire substitutes like regular schools. We were forced to wear ugly uniforms with really strict dress codes for the shoes, belts, and accessories. If a student didn't have a belt or a tie, they were sent to the dream room where they would either have to trade their phone or something else of value for one or get sent home. If your shoes were anything but all black, you were sent to the dream room. Middle schoolers are forced to walk in quiet lines down the hallway to another classroom for "another period". Elementary kids are forced to have quiet lunches and are sent to the back of the cafeteria, where they'll stay for all of lunch and recess, if they talk. Staff are unprepared or unqualified to teach a specific subject, students aren't motivated to learn, a lot of programs, that were essential were cut. PLEASE FIND ANOTHER PRIVATE/COLLEGE PREP SCHOOL BECAUSE THIS ONE IS TRASH.

My children attended here for 2 years. I adored the school at first and was so happy with how it was run. Once everything was shut down due to COVID, things changed. My concerns were dismissed or shoved to other people that had nothing to do with it. Teachers were saying my children werent turning in work and failing my children, despite me personally taking every item to school. Teachers not giving information to complete assignments. Plus the parents that steal from families and the school, yet their children are still allowed to attend this school. I had such high hopes but I don't want my children to be at a school where the principal is on a power trip labeling himself as CEO and principal, and parents are allowed to steal from the school with no repercussions.

They have made the worse decision ever. The school had an awesome coach for their football program and they fired him. I know him personally and watched his career as a coach and he has more than proved himself to be a great coach. I have also played for him and won 3 championships under him. I have seen what he has done with those kids and they played very well. Its a shame they don't know a good thing when it hits them in the face......SMH

I am a Junior currently attending Democracy Prep Highschool. Ive been at what was before known as Agassi Prep since Kindergarten and I can tell you if you are trying to go to this school DO NOT make this mistake! My 8th grade year, when Agassi first heard the news of this new "takeover" everyone was shocked and scared many of the students and AMAZING teachers did not return as a result of this. There were rumors that the Democracy Prep schools were extremely strict. Made kids walk in lines, long school hours, ugly uniforms, quiet hallways, short lunches, saturday school, and having to learn Korean. At first I was upset, I didnt understand why this takeover was happening and I was scared for this big change. To see this school I have attended all my life to have this DRASTIC change. There were even many protests about it. Such as walk outs, news interviews, and even support from the neighboring schools in order to stop this change. But then I wanted to give this school a chance, I thought maybe this would be a good thing, maybe its not as bad as people are saying, and maybe its for the better. So fastforward freshmen year, I decided to stay and give it a chance. Fyi theres this thing called prep academy that students attend before the actual first day of school as a way of preparing the kids and teachers for the academic school year. At that time you are required to turn in the completed summer homework that was given to scholars over the summer. The first week I found out that they had cut out orchestra, drumline, band, choir, wrestling, dance team, and choir. We lost a lot of GREAT teachers because the workload requirements were simply just TOO MUCH too handle. If youre a teacher who has taught for a while, and have a certain working style that works best for you. Going here would not be a good idea. The staff coach you on what to give and teach the students and you don't have a lot of room for flexibility. If youre a new teacher and dont really care for it then this school would be a good option. Before Agassi became Dpac I did orchestra for 3 years. And Orchestra was a way of meditation for me it helped me forget about problems in my life and calm my stress. But when I found out I would no longer be able to do it I was DEVISTATED! And I felt a part of me was missing. They hired a music teacher but he was only educated in band instruments. There is no selection of instruments to choose from. The only thing that kept me going to that school everyday were the students, hands down. I met a lot of great people my freshmen year and it was good while it lasted. The rules and regulations on the otherhand was just too much too handle. I can attest to the fact that if you were to come to school without a belt, wear shoes with a color other than solid black on your shoes (laces, soles, etc), without a tie or have on a non DPAC jacket/outerwear then you would have to sit in the dream room afterschool for an hour. This was dumb and a waste of time, because there are kids who cant afford to get these items and it was inconsiderate of the time and financial stability of these kids' households. And if you arrived even a minute late to school you would have to sit in the dream room for the whole class period bevause it would "disrupt the learning environment". Even tho many staff would frequently walk in and out of our classes, and sometimes not even for a legitimate reason. Many of the rules were strict there but there were some teachers who understood what we were going through and were more leniant when it came to some things because they are struggling with us. The first year school dismissal time was 330pm. But the next year, my sophomore year they added 30 minutes making it 4pm. The school environment is depressing there are no activities no exciting school events or anything to keep me attentive. I feel like I just go to school, do work, and then go home. And if you would address a problem they would say things in order to make you feel better but not take actions to resolve it This not all of it but please take my word for it

DO NOT ATTEND THIS SCHOOL!! Alex Daniels is very rude !! If you come to him with a problem, he will not resolve it. He completely ignores the problem . The staff are continuously leaving, there are barely any high school students. Students aren’t learning because teachers are constantly leaving . They expect students to adapt to a new teacher every month. If I could give them no stars I would. The teachers who actually help the students academically are always getting fired or quit. They give students detention for the smallest, dumbest things. In detention the students have to stand for an hour. High school students are not allowed microwaves for lunch. There are no special education programs for students who need it. They disregard students who need help. They keep students for 40 minutes after their LAST class for “homework time” that should be done at HOME. They basically keep your children at school for hours that aren’t needed. DO NOT ATTEND THIS TERRIBLE SCHOOL!!!!!

My kid loved this school. School has minor improvements to do but overall my 2nd grader loved his class and teacher. He learned so much through the year and actually retained alot of information. The parents are active and the teachers are amazing. Next school year I will have my kindergarten, 2nd grader and 3rd grader going here. Amazing school.
Love how active they are with learning the constitution.
Keep up the amazing work founders family.

The teachers and administration at this school don't put up with students breaking rules. In my experience at public school, students walked all over their teachers and no one could stop it because their hands were tied with all sorts of CCSD rules and regulations. At Founders, they expect the very best. The rules are strict, the content is rigorous, and students don't get away with anything. So what if the afternoon pick up takes awhile?? It is SO worth it to have your students in a place where they will actually be challenged and where their teachers and peers will really CARE and TRY at school.

Unfortunately, there have been several changes made to the school since they changed leadership. They treat the kids like poor little minorities that don’t know any anything about college or how to excel in school. They have “higher expectations “ for their students is what they will tell you, but they are over extending their power. There is no talking in the hallways and the students must walk from class to class like they are inmates in the county jail. DONT BRING YOUR KIDS HERE!!! They have an agenda that is not in the best interest of your child. The only plus is the advanced curriculum. But they give more distractions than anything else. There are other private schools that have a better quality of education. This school is a nightmare!!!! DO NOT ATTEND THIS SCHOOL

As a parent coming from the CCSD I must say that this has been the best thing that has happen to my kids! I have a 10th grader, 4th grader and 1st grader. What a difference a year makes! Although it was challenging for my kids in the beginning to acclimate to the higher education levels and expectation standard; I think that they have adapted well and we are on the road to a greater education. I love the fact that they are very adamant on respect and take measures to discipline as consequences instead of the leniency I have experienced in the public school system, especially in the society we live in and my children are growing up in. I truly believe that there must be consequences and responsibility should be taken in order for these kids to prosper in life as adolescents and adults. I have no problem holding my children accountable for their poor choices and am happy to work hand in hand with the school to accomplish this! On the other hand, the classical education foundation that this school sets is excellent and I can definitely tell the difference with their growing vocabulary and excitement they have to go to school and learn most of all. They often come home excited and eager to tell me what they learned that day. Thank you to the administration and teachers who teach our kids and kudos to all the other parents whom are able to invest their time as well!

In the school year of 2015-2016 they said all the class of 2018 needs to do is pass our classes and earn all our credits in order to graduate, I have all A's and 25 credits so I should be good right? WRONG! Now they're throwing in some dumb unit in government 19 days before school ends which you have to pass in order to graduate. They screwed me and a bunch of people over.

All of my children has attended VHS. It has had its downfalls in the past. However it has improved over the years. I love it at VHS! Great Administrations Staff, Teachers and Coaches. Great IB and Stem program for students to accomplish College courses. Awesome Wrestling program. Love that Coach Perry, Coach Dickman and Coach Johnson. Five Stars all the way around.

The english teacher Mrs.Chill is the most kind, and caring teacher there, she puts the students needs before her's. She listens to our problems and try's to help us out.

Not only was my cousin bullied and almost jumped but staff, teachers, and principle did absolutely nothing to prevent it or rpc them. i also have a friend that was expelled last month from the school for fighting a boy at WESTERN who tried to molest his sister the boy even threw a bottle at her head and nothing was done about that either despite that there is a video of it. Anyways my friend fought him and the boy was able to come back but my friend had to be expelled.
Another thing the water at this school was shut off for two-three days and almost all the toilets are broken😒

This is a sad excuse for a public school. Unfortunately the lowest rating I can give is one star, but I wouldn’t even give that if possible. The way issues are handled are absolutely pathetic and students are bullied on a daily basis, by other students AND by the school management. The school is extremely cliquey, and kids that aren’t “accepted” are a target for terrorization. It’s very ghetto and and the student body is compromised largely of gangs and a more degenerate population. Sports are the apparent priority and everything else takes a back seat, especially education. Athletes, Cheerleaders, and Dancers sail through the system, no matter what they do or say-and any bad interaction with certain kids or cliques will get turned around by management to be YOUR child’s fault, no matter the truth. I’ve seen with my own eyes kids threatened with suspension for acts of kindness, but kids who fight, vandalize, or sell drugs seem to rarely get in trouble. The school is extremely overpopulated-a fact that is freely admitted to by the faculty. We pulled one of our students out due to teacher bullying, an issue that was patheticly handled and twisted into victim blaming. Very, very sad. I would never recommend this school in a million years. It’s my firm opinion that this is not the type of high school that will help your child’s future in any way, shape or form.

We absolutely love Founders Academy and the staff. They are working so hard at getting the new teachers where they need to be in alignment with classical education. This is our 3rd year here and have seen many changes, but continually are impressed at how Founders handles the challenge. Looking forward to my 4 kids graduating from Founders with the best Classical Education in the Valley.

It is getting better; one day it will not be ghetto or violent.

I have no issues with this school, actually I had more issues with the public schools here with there lack of knowledge and procedures. I think the teachers are AWESOME! My child is in middle school and she's learning high school curriculum. For those with bad reviews its more likly your child is the problem and not the school or teachers.

This school is a joke and awful.
The Elementary is grossly disorganized and the teachers that my youngest daughter has who shall remain nameless made false accusations to our family and causes a great deal of problems furthermore the front office and the lunch people are disorganized as well my daughter doesn't even want to go there anymore because the kids keep bullying her and the teachers don't do anything I will not be keeping either one of my daughters there and by the way my children are excellent students they make strides and earn their points everyday. More needs to be talked to these kids about anti-bullying by both teachers and parents the staff are rude I'm not always approachable I want a parent request for changes they are dishonest and do not always tell the truth and as such they are breaking the rights of both students and parents

The teachers are great, but I don’t like the kids in the aviation program and in general. (The aviation program isn’t that great either).

I have had a great experience this last year at Founders. My son was on the waiting list for Kindergarten and was able to get in in February. I decided to make the switch even though it would be a 30 min drive for me each way because I had high hopes for this school. I was not disappointed! My son actually had a hard time at first because, in all honesty, he is a bit naughty and very dramatic. I was embarrassed at the way he was acting and spoke with his teacher often. She really helped me and his behavior improved tremendously. She is a no nonsense type of teacher which my son really needed.
I've read other reviews that criticize Founders for being right wing but that's why we chose this school. We wanted a conservative environment that valued propriety, academics and pride in our American heritage. I wanted to be able to bring my child to a school where I didn't have to be worried about what kind of questionable nonsense they would be learning. I cant wait for next year!

HORRIBLE SCHOOL...DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILDREN THERE. I WAS WARNED BY DOZENS OF PEOPLE NOT TO SEND MY CHILDREN TO THE SCHOOL DIDN'T LISTEN. THEY HAVE A HORRIBLE FACULTY AND HORRIBLE STUDENTS.
MY CHILD IS AN HONOR ROLL STUDENT WITH EXCELLENT CITIZENSHIP..BUT SHE HAS BEEN HARRASSED BY THE STUDENTS( BOTH MALE AND FEMALE) AND FACULTY ON ALMOST A DAILY BASIS SINCE SHE STARTED SCHOOL THERE IN FEBRUARY. IT'S JUST SICKENING.
I WOULDN'T SEND MY WORST ENEMY TO THIS SCHOOL.
I'VE COMPLAINED TO THE SCHOOL BOARD ON SEVERAL DIFFERENT OCCASIONS...WITH NO ONE COMPLYING AND NO RESULTS!
I AM TRANSFERRING SCHOOLS AS WE SPEAK.

We love it at Founders. My son wants to go to school and loves being there. The staff and teachers are really friendly and they get to know you. You are not just a number but a person. We transfered from one charter school to this school because at his first school, if a child is ahead the teacher wouldnt give a child more work to do or keep them busy. They would either have to sit there and be quiet or help a "lower end student". Sorry, we are in kindergarten and its not my kid's job to help another and 5 year olds do not understand the concept of team work to get class work done. After about a month trying to work with his bad teacher (he was ahead in every subject but kept getting poor behavior marks which is not like him at all) we finally got the call from founders to attend. So glad we made the move.

Good school high stand teaching one of the best schools

This school sucks, I recommend to NOT BRING YOUR CHILD HERE, teachers are somewhat okay but the students here are trash, they curse in class out loud teachers done nothing kids can easily get out of this school by going outside, they do so much drugs here don't come to school go to rancho

At first this school was amazing , i had no bulling problems . but when i left this school and transfered out of state . and came back , they told me i was not allowed to return back to school because of my age 18 years old , i was shy of 2 math credits and was a senior at that school , it was ridiculous how they treated my education . i was a good student ( i got in one fight) and they think im a bad kid . i am 19 years old and have no diploma because valley screwed me over . if it wasn't for the lack of funds i would of sued CCSD(valley high school) for deprieving me of my educational rights.

I just started at this school, and it doesn't seem as bad as these reviews are saying it is. Although, I dislike the classroom outside because, sometimes its cold. But, I REALLY like this school.

I wouldn't even give it a star if possible the administration is rude and they don't get anything done unless you "motivate" them, the teachers aren't half qualified to teach and they let kids jump other kids without consequences

This school is ass cheeks but some teachers are cool but not that dean

We just moved to Vegas and my daughter is a new student here. The teachers seem very passionate about teaching and you can feel that the staff really go the extra mile for the students. From what we hear, this school has improved tremendously over the years. The administration office is very helpful and meeting the staff at open house was great! The school seems over populated, but administration says they're doing what they can to hire qualified teachers and break up the classes evenly. (NEW REVIEW AS OF 5/3/17)--My daughter hasn't had a great experience so far. She claims the other students are "cliquey" and fights occur almost everyday. When I moved here I heard this was a great school, and so far it seems--because the school has such a diversity of kids coming from other districts--there is a large amount of gang members, drugs, racial discrimination and disrespect. Students throwing metal chairs at teachers, fights on school grounds, and kids doing drugs on campus. I've personally seen videos of this happening at Centennial. Unfortunately, I don't think my daughter will be going here next year. It's just not a safe environment for my daughter and for other students who are there to learn. She's struggling to find peers here that are like her, which is focused on success and genuinely a good person. It's sad that these kids aren't taught and encouraged to respect others (especially their teachers) at home. I'm not sure what's happening and how these gang members or kids from afar are able to get into this school, but it's not fair to the other students who are there to learn. Something must be done to regulate this. My heart hurts for the kids and the teachers who have to put up with these thugs. My daughter is NOT happy here at all. 😔

Centennial is a very good school. I went there all four years and changed alot. But for newcomers, the schools students are very conceited(Including me). After the first few years you either get hardened and become a very distinguished individual with good amounts of self-confidence, or get eaten alive and lost in the crowd.

Class of '71....it was a terrific school back then. While other high schools were beginning to have racial problems in 1970-1971, WHS had somehow been immune up to that point. Our student body was just as diverse as any other. I'm not sure why we didn't have the fights break out on our campus. I remember a sign, later photographed for the yearbook that said it all:
Peace On Earth and Western, Too.
It was a great time to be a Western Warrior.

Used to volunteer in the aviation program. Honestly, rancho has a better aerospace lab than UNLV. If you're looking into schools for aerospace and aviation, Rancho is the best and possibly the only one in the city.

Horrible learning experience that sticks 3000 kids into a learning curriculum and expects them to learn the same way. If they don't, they don't care. I've never seen a school that cares less about their students well-being.

We are very impressed with the education our son has been getting at founders. He is in kindergarten and he is reading and doing math at a first grade level already. The classes are very well run and the teachers are amazing. There is a ton of parental involvement and my son loves coming to school. Can't wait see what he will learn next year.

I went here for 3 years, and my first day I found my family. They're amazing people and I promise it will feel like home when you walk in those doors. If you're an upcoming freshman, go to Japanese club after school in room 826 on Tuesdays, Mrs. Bernau is the most amazing teacher ever, tell her Amberly sent you. You're bound to find your heard, kid, you'll do great.

The staff and the Deans office are absolutely no help and of no good use for parents or students!! If I could file a complaint I would. I contacted the Deans office in the morning one day to let them know my daughter felt threatened. They didn't even respond and within a couple of hours, my daughter called me crying because she had to fight. They should be liable, especially when I had contacted them. They are a very non caring school and have no compassion at all! They are just there for a check.

Student here at VALLEY. Can't wait to be homeschool. Tardy tables are uneccesary, why? You miss more minutes like 3-5 waiting in line for a tardy pass EVEN when you are 5 SECONDS late to the door. They RPC you for being tardy the 4th time. Doesn't really approve nothing but make kids want to leave and ditch. Counselors are nice BUT you cant meet with them unless you SCHEDULE an appointment. (I turned in a slip to meet with my counselor but never bothered to contact with me). Principle is nice somewhat. If you are a student or a parent who has a child about yo attend to this school, i say think about it if you want your child to graduate and go to school everyday instead of getting a call saying your child missed a day or period because of the tardy table.

I think it's a great school, I personally love it there. I did also only go there for a year, but its a better high school than the one I go to now. Especially with sports. & their NJROTC program is by far the best. They are number ONE in the NATION in Drill, Academics, Color Guard, and Physical training. I would know because I was a very dedicated cadet to that program.

I Loved my 3 years there they were the best with the best teachers I lost my mom my Sophomore year and my teachers treated me like family I would go back and do it all again best years of my life kids enjoy it Ramonia Atkins Puckett Class of 1970

Recently visited the school for open house and it was great. The only problem was when you had the Honor Guard present the colors. If you are going to include this, maybe you should know the proper etiquette. Remain standing until the colors are gone. Your military students remained at attention and showed the proper respect. Your staff on the other hand, quickly sat down while the honor guard marched off the floor. I didn't expect the general public to know what to do, but I would expect your staff would be briefed.

I love my rancho high school and I'm going to miss so much. I have good memories of my school year
Class of 2014 ¡¡¡¡¡¡GO RAMS!!!!!
Class of 2014 ¡¡¡¡¡¡GO RAMS!!!!!

I've only had to contact this school about 2 different issues and both times I have had the WORST EXPERIENCE!! The first time was about my son's cell phone being stolen. My issue was we knew who did it and I called the day it happened but instead of doing something about it that day they let the 4 day weekend pass before speaking to the child. It wasn't a priority because it was just a cell phone.
My son suffers from more then one health issues and that is the reason for the phone. Nothing was ever done and I was told after calling only twice not to call again because there was nothing they could do about it and to ask my son to stop going into the office and asking about it.
The second time was about a school issue I need some help with.. I called the deans office and had to speak to the most Inconsiderate woman. I was told every time I called that it was the wrong time and someone would call me back. When i tried to explain that I worked 2 jobs 6 days a week and that this was the only time I could call. I was rudely interrupted and basically made to feel like I was bothering this woman. Now this is HER JOB!!!!
I deal with the public everyday yet if I treated people like this I wouldn't have a job! What makes her so different??
What really bothers me is this woman speaks to our children everyday.. How is she treating them??
Is she as rude to our kids as she is to a parent? She is basically just a bully!
I will have both of my kids going here next year I feel bad for both

You have instructor(s) at your school on the MSN message boards that represents with your school name attached to his name. He is espousing hate against Islam and American Muslims openly.
I hope this is not a representation of the teachers at your location and the hate you must have for some of your students who may be muslim/Islamic.
Sends a very powerful hate message to all, for all to see. I suggest you start with your ROTC instructors, seems a shame these kids are subjected to hate speech and actions from instructors.

I love rancho high they say it has so many thing that you could do like play softball or volleyball but the most thing that I'm going to rancho high school is to see my friends and to study hard to pass high school so that I could go to 10th grade.... Because I'm going to 9th grade next years after june ... 😁😁

RANCHO HIGH SCHOOL IS A VERY GOOD SCHOOL. IF YOUR AN HONOR STUDENT THE HONOR TEACHERS REALLY CARE. THE ADMINSTRATION IS ALSO EXCELLENT.

I've attended centennial high school from 2009-2013 and I loved this school the sports are fantastic the staff works very hard to make sure we are safe and we have on campus school police and they are great. It may take long for you to get a hold of a dean that is because they are super BUSY making sure us kids are safe at school. Centennial is the school to attend they have a whole bunch of AP classes and they are the only 4 star public school. They get high testing scores. I have enjoyed my experience at Centennial High School #bleedblue4life #bulldogs I graduate Friday June 7 at 6pm Class of 2013 and If you work hard and try you will be successful

I am a substitute teacher in the Clark County School District. As a sub I have worked at most of the high schools in the district. I will tell you right off that this school is one of the best. Of all the assignments I have, I truly enjoy working here. The students are involved and are among the best behaved even though it is a relatively old school in a working class neighborhood. Students are respectful and don't seem to have that edge that I often see at some of the other schools. I am told that this is due to the magnet school which attracts motivated students who are being groomed for the college tract.
