Staff need improvements, school bus drivers are always blocking driveways
Ok school nice teachers in the health and science institute
Bad school all of the programs are very bad and teachers don’t care about students for to graduate. Students that want to attend to this school I recommend not going here because there is lots of problems in this school.
Forget Stuy, this is the better school to get into. The grade is A, B, etc... not 99.2 or 99.12. So, no overheated cheating or overzealous competition that makes kids mental. The teachers are top quality & the top students r doing top Univ level research. If you can get in then it's FREE! The best school I have ever seen (either public or private). I am a pleased parent.
MY SON ROBERT GRADUATED JUNE 2007.
VERY GOOD SCHOOL. DEVOTED TEACHERS.

Very good school, my daughter studies there and has very good grades ... Many bad things are said about that school but I think that the student focuses, studies and has a goal that she can fulfill.
The school is okay there’s a lot of fights some teachers seem to not care about u , a lot of student traffic and ridicules school dress codes. Also bad principle who shows a bad example to students and recently was caught plagiarizing.
My grandson is getting robbed from that school everyday in the boys locker room but there is no camros in there so I don't understand how this is a great school
Awesome school and awesome staff. Some teachers are the G.O.A.T.

Bad school
Tottenville high school is amazing. Been here only 3 months but it's a very amazing school. Teachers are fair & compassionate, kids aren't as chaotic as some other Staten island schools, the stairs were never chaotic, ive witnessed almost zero fights happening on school grounds, absolutely terrific school !!! The teachers are absolutely understanding of a students needs :) this school is a just try. The coding class there was fun too
My daughter went from a 75average all the way to a honor student and they helped her get into the best college of her dreams this school really cares and I am sending my son here as well, but again it's all in the student if they are willing to aim high .

Good school, Great Programs, Ms.Deangelis is (if not the best), a great principle and school administrator. Always putting the children and the community first. She works tirelessly on both these fronts. Hardest working woman I have ever met, and yet she makes it look easy.
Best school on Island. Study up
Good school. The system has changed a lot! There are a lot of programs that you can learn in this school. Its just the students and the environment that need a little improvment!

Idk if its good cause im just in 6th grade and i go to IS...
Great school, alot of choices to ready one for adulthood. I graduated in '82, much weed and drugs going on though. Fun. Cutting out, wolfs pond, it was too tempting. But great school.
I attended New Dorp from 2010 to 2014, as part of the Academy of Communication and Media Arts. I had a wonderful experience there! Almost all of my teachers were fun, approachable and passionate about their subjects. I never personally had any trouble with bullying, though I did occasionally witness it happen to others. Teachers and counselors are there to help with any bullying or conflicts. My guidance counselor was extremely helpful when it came to academic or personal issues, and the staff will usually help you out in any way they can. They want to see you pass! Overall, New Dorp gave me a great experience and a good education to take with me to college.
NDA"s Elementary School has a stalwart and principled principal at its helm currently. Principal Signorelli , a former student, embraces the mission of the school and is a graduate of this fine institution that epitomizes the best of what Staten Island has to offer.

The school is a nurturing place and a safe haven with a very structured curriculum. My children are delighted to go to school there and are learning important life lessons along with the curriculum, even though we are not Catholics.

As a parent, like every other parent who wants the best education for their child, I enthrusted the teachers with the job of providing the rigorous, just, and disciplined environment that my daughters need to thrive . I am a working mother and want the stability of sound routines and instruction grounded in a faith-based setting that will teach, what is often not taught in public schools, good citizenship and a moral education. NDA is doing that.

However, as this institution moves forward, my only wish is that they will reflect and embrace the global perspectives and lens necessary to teach students and staff how to embrace the diversity that is all around us. Preparing students to be global citizens will require the N.D.A. community to examine their employment and hiring practices to insure that they continue to attract not only the brightest students but teachers who are themselves models of a belief in life-long learning. Housed on a small and beautiful island, it is very easy to become insular in thinking. So, as they seek to educate young women who are the future and to fulfill their mission to help each young woman "become an agent of her own transformation and of the transformation of society" N.D.A. must diversify in some ways. It may be a challenge, but diversity is needed.
Staff doesn't have a handle on the bullying... they look to make excuses for there ineptitude. Unless your child is in a special program ,the school is unsafe . Not enough security and the problem kids are doing whatever they want.
Please do not feel intimidated with the size of the school... As the programs both academic & leisure do not warrant it. In addition, both my children are currently students in Tottenville, one a senior in the honors program and the other a freshman.. The teachers are phenomal! Pupilpath is a must and excellent source as a form of communication. I'm so impressed with this school.
My son is now attending this high school and he loves it, the teacher's are awesome
The Culinary arts program is amazing!!!!!''
I just feel like a lot of the people at this place treat me with respect. In addition, I will do anything for anyone, as long as they are nice to me.
Es increivle lo mejor que e visto en mi vida

Smart Kids and great opportunities!
I love this school, I'm attending it now. I have no complaints about the students nor teachers.
I could never regret going to this school. Didn't know the school exist until I've gotten a transfer. I love the teachers, the staff, and also the students of Tottenville high school. I am impressed with the orchestra program which is part of the music department. Ever since freshman I've found a new instrument called a cello. I would literally take it home every single day and constantly practice :) and for for that, I've got rewarded with a scholarship :). See if you move forward and keep doing the good things, things will eventually be added unto you. Go pirates! Ps.. Excellent Football team ;)
