I loveee falafels! They gyro was made perfect will come again when i am near :) and if you walk 5 mins down central park should be there and you can enjoy the scenery when eat!
Hands down best halal I’ve ever had in NYC of all Burroughs. Everyone I know is obsessed with them including our whole office, we placed a large order which Rocky took and everyone that worked that day did such a great job. Seriously you will not regret, just be aware you may become addicted!

Had lunch for the first time here today. Great combo rice plate, the chicken and the lamb were both excellent. Had white green and red sauce. Very clean little truck and fast service.

Flavor is great, but the portions are tiny for the price. 5 small chunks of chicken isn't filling or satisfying. Also, a tiny glass 7.8 oz drink is 5$??
The chicken over rice was so flavourful and it had an indian style taste to it in terms of the spices and seasoning. Would definitely recommend!

The prices are fair compared to the carts found around Zucotti Park. The meats are tasty and tender. The vendor is friendly enough.

Really descent chicken. Very well marinated and served nice and fresh. As usual, all good places have lineups, so there was a bit of a wait.
Best combo over rice i’ve had so far. So so good, and prices are low. 10/10.

Loved it. These days it is hard to find really good Halal cart. Most of the people either don’t know how to cook or make their own variations. The service was super fast. Compare to those tasteless cart this is super delicious and cheap.

Had the Combo. Tasty food. Good portion and reasonably priced for $8. Will definitely come back again.
This is that late night, craving crusher, sit in my car and enjoy a whole platter of top tier halal food goodness. As you can tell not a single rice was left behind. Food was good even when I was full I couldn’t stop eating it. Empire Halal you have done a FABULOUS job!
Awful food and honestly they were so rude too. There are better halal carts out there. Would not recommend eating from here. 🤮

Went for lunch & got a chicken sandwich. I asked for shawarma but they only have souvlaki or “rotisserie”. I got the rotisserie and it was def not a shawarma. Pretty mid level. That’s gonna be a first and last for me.

Pita Press is our go to for the Family Meal sets for gatherings. The price and the quantity go a long way. The salads are always looking so fresh and the baklava is always a treat to eat.
The pitas are delicious at Pita Press. Fluffy. Lightly seared. Gyro pitas. Not typical pitas pockets I buy in grocery stores, but gyro bread.
Haloumi Cheese is the least descriptive item on the menu, but it comes with grilled zucchini, red bell peppers and tomato wedges. The sauce appears to be a balsamic vinaigrette reduction and pairs well with the fried cheese. This cheese has a mild flavor and a texture that squeaks between your teeth. I love the combo of sauce, grilled veggies and squeaky cheese so much, I will go out of my way to order just a side of this cheese and make it a meal for myself.

Today a friend and I tried Pita Press for the first time. I am no expert on Greek food by any means so this is just the opinion of someone who loves food! The staff was super friendly and kind. They took the time to explain some of the differences in the chicken dishes. I had the chicken souvlaki plate with the home cut fries. The chicken portion could have been a bit more generous (4-chunks) but had the nice flavors from the grill. The fries were clearly handcut by the variety of shapes and we're good. The salad was my least favorite part and was a bit soggy. It was a bit pricey but def comparable to other lunch prices in the area. We will def be back though! Overall it was a winner!
Great food at good prices especially in the city. My family in came for vacation and absolutely loved the lamb and chicken over rice. Definitely recommend others to try it.

Was craving a bowl of gyro and thank god this place happened to be right outside my place! The meats, sauces, rice, and veggies all work together perfectly to create a flavorful, powerful meal! I also loved the pickled jalapenos, definitely ask for extra of those. Great spot and super affordable!
The food came relatively quickly and tasted good. However the images would have you believe there was seating to dine in. There were no seats that you could eat on the bar counter tops. Other than standing to eat at the counters the food was not bad. It seems more of a to go place. The beef and lamb were good and flavorful not dry or too oily. The cauliflower side was really good. Very filling. The spinach pie was also different then others for the doughy texture but it wasn't bad at all.

Located just outside whole foods this place servers halal Indian food. Their food quality is just like any other food truck, packaging is also NYC standard packing. Taste and quantity was good, i will give 4 stars for that, but the staff was really rude. I asked him politely if i can take pictures for review while cooking and he rudely denied and said he doesn't want any promotion on social media. Rest everything is standard NYC cart.
Overcharged for low quality gyros
So disgusting. He charged me $20 for a Philly cheese steak and a gyro. Both were essentially made with ground beef. He put mayo on the gyro (he didn't even know what tzatziki was), and made the cheesesteak with one slice of American cheese and barely any meat... The guy didn't even know how to say gyro or how to speak English, for that matter. I felt sick afterwards. This place is truly a complete ripoff.
Delicious Greek food that feels like home cooked meals. We got the cod pita and vegetarian pita along with Greek Fries, favs beans, and cauliflower sides. All were super yummy and would recommend. I look forward to trying the smoothies and other items

Very delicious. $7 for chicken and rice which is a little pricier than some others but the quality is higher. There's a sister cart on Ann and Broadway that is open past 6pm. Very friendly owner.
This is a highly underrated option for lunch if you work in the area. The service is always friendly, they have electronic payment facilities, and the serving sizes and quality are top notch. You can easily get a meal for $6 that can't be finished due to its size.
