the only experience i have with this center is the 12th floor for a thyroid biopsy. first of all the place is SO serene with huge windows with stunning views. there is a really nice waiting room with huge window wall, where you can join the wifi and work on your computer. very nice receptionist. great huge private bathrooms by reception. i was very nervous for my thryoid biopsy especially bc i am allergic to certain forms of anasthesia. the 3 staff members who were part of the biopsy team were so kind and friendly - but more importantly i just got the sense, fwiw, that i was in very capable hands. without anasthesia it still didnt hurt much, only mildly. you have to tilt your head back and dont swallow (you can breathe normally) while they put in a very fine needle (i thought...this is it?) that doesnt hurt at all. then they have to shake a little bit to take out the sample and it doesnt last long. for me they did two needles and boom it was done. i was so grateful to be in such capable hands and to be in such a fantastic, absolutely serene, waiting room. if i knew it was going to be like this, i wouldnt have been scared at all. my anticipation for the appointment was so nervewracking, and what actually happened was a cakewalk.

This is a pharmacy inside the hospital and it is the worst one I have ever experienced. We had to wait 40 minutes for ibuprofen??? Who does that? The only reason is because the hospital send our prescription to them. Do not make the same mistake, tell the hospital to use your local pharmacy instead. This one has 10 people inside and no one wants to help you.

This institution is anti-Muslim and anti-Arab. It retains physicians who were discovered promoting racist anti-Arab sentiments on their online platforms including racist tropes, justification of collective punishment (a war crime), and the glorification of violence. Such content with hate filled language and dangerous tropes intentionally aimed to dehumanize Muslims and Arabs coming from physicians is terrifying and unacceptable yet NYU Langone has done nothing to address this. Muslims and Arabs beware of NYU Langone and seek healthcare elsewhere.

First, I want to say that the surgeons and doctors here are excellent. I recently had a very intensive procedure and 9 day stay here and the reason for my poor review is the conditions of the hospital under staffing. I had received two pretty intensive brain surgeries during my stay, and I was placed in a recovery unit on a gurney, not a bed, for nearly 20 hours awaiting the room/unit that I was meant to be transported to, simply because there was nobody available to clean my room for that entire time. They'll claim that they care about patient experience, but they don't. Certain staff seem jaded and cold as a result of administrators seeking profitability and KPIs and it shows. I'm also very disappointed in how this hospital handles pain management. They go off of the old-school happy face - sad/crying 1-10 scale system. I'm a man in his 30s and they have a total of 5 pain management doctors for this whole hospital.

The entire 9 day stay I was in the 'severe pain' range (7-10), and these 5 pain management doctors were constantly needing to be paged for consultations, for which they would maybe show up 4-6 hours later (or not at all) and it was clear that, because I tend to hide my pain and I don't cry, most of them would outright not try to help me or ignore what I was telling them about my suffering after undergoing such an intense surgery. Again, this was some of them, not all. I even had one PM doctor come in to my room with 3 medical students, clearly with the intent on showing them 'how to say no to someone'.

If it weren't for my trust and confidence in my doctors and surgeon's, who I rarely see after the procedure and during the stay - I would choose a different hospital for any procedure for a better level of care.

This group provides food to a lot of people, both a pantry and a soup kitchen. The food they make is so good that they have dinners for the community and those who regularly use the services and its always packed.

They can always use volunteers and contributions, if you can there's a lot of need in the area.

I absolutely love this service. When you take the insurance company out of it and it's just the provider and the patient, quality of care and customer service goes way up! Forward is extremely responsive whenever I send them a message, they get back to me right away. Their facilities are modern and spacious, as opposed to walk in clinics and most traditional insurance based doctors offices. Doctors here have great bedside manner, and aren't in a rush so they take the time to explain everything thoroughly and concisely. I only wish they made house calls!

Stay far away. When you first go they send you to get blood work. I got this blood work 9 months ago and I am still getting billed for it.

This is the responsibility of Forward to pay.

Quest (where I got blood) has told me that Forward declined the bill and Forward claimed Quest messed up.

They keep saying they will deal with it but I have now received a notice of delinquent account that will affect my credit.

Stay far away or there is a chance you will fall into this to.

I've been a member of Forward for around two years. If you asked me about my impression in the beginning, I would have given them 5 stars. It was excellent. Baseline appointment was easy to book, my doctor had an incredible bedside manner, and I really enjoyed going there overall.

This year, I don't know what is going on with them, but they make it next to impossible to even get an appointment with any doctor. If you have an issue you would like to talk to a doctor about in person, the app makes you jump through a ton of crazy hurdles which appear to be designed to avoid setting an appointment (while still taking your money). When I report symptoms I have to go through a lengthy pre-screen with the chat first. It usually boils down to: wait it out if it's not urgent, otherwise go to an ER. But just seeing one of their doctors is practically never an option - and it's like you really have to prove that what you're experiencing is a valid concern, but not a life-threatening emergency, and then they might consider sending you a scheduling card for an appointment - which the next available one might be a month or two out! I had been struggling with this leg pain which turned out to be sciatica, but it took me almost a month to find out, and by that point I was already on the mend. Why am I paying $150 a month for absolutely nothing? To have a chat assistant brush me off and tell me I can't see a doctor, or should go to the ER? I feel like for what we pay, they should be prioritizing direct patient care, but from what I can tell from both my own experiences is that they are prioritizing getting new members in the door to make more money. It's a shame, because I really liked the doctors I've actually been able to see there, when that was even possible.

Forward is an exceptional service for a busy professional. They are there for me night and day and work with me to get through the intricacies of insurance and Flexible Spending Account rules. There facilities are top notch. I always feel welcome and I never have to wait mor ethan a few minutes.
I needed the yellow fever vaccine for a trip. They had multiple open appointments available even the same day. They were even on at 6 pm on a Friday for convenience. The price is $100 cheaper paying by cash than going to an urgent care that carries the vaccine.. Staff was very nice and organized. Doctor was informative and quick. Was seen right away. I would recommend definitely.

I’m thankful for the surgical procedure I was able to have done here. My complaint is on the administrative level.

The discharge experience after my surgery was truly horrible. Initially I was supposed to be out by noon. Unfortunately I was not well enough to leave, so I was then told that I would be kept overnight. I was injected with tons of pain medications and given narcotics and was drifting off to sleep when at 8:45pm I was told I had to leave. Someone from my family was around to take me home, though being discharged at 9pm was very inconvenient especially after being told I would be allowed to stay overnight. My mother (who is herself a cancer patient at MSK) was told to run downstairs to the pharmacy and pick up my medication before the pharmacy closed in less than 15 minutes. When she got downstairs one of the meds I was supposed to have hadn’t been sent. She had to hurry upstairs and tell the nurse who then sent the prescription. My mother who is an elderly woman, should not have been put in this situation. While she was running to get my meds I had to get dressed and the nurse didn’t help me. I was dizzy and struggling after all the meds she had injected me with and she just left me to do it myself. She also told us that a wheelchair escort would be provided. After waiting for 30 minutes, no one came and my mother had to push me out with the wheelchair herself plus carry all my belongings. It was all such a stressful and rushed way to leave that as we pulled out of the Kimmel parking lot, we almost got into a car accident. Because of the stress and stopping short, I had a horrible stomach spasm and couldn’t breathe. We were about to return to the hospital but I finally managed to calm it down. After an already stressful day of having surgery, this was the last thing my family and I needed. There was no care and sympathy to help us safely leave the hospital and it caused a lot of mental and physical strain to me and my family.

I hope you will take this review and make things better for future patients in your hospital.
Extremely fast and professional! Great service!!

I got sick and was able to schedule a visit for the next morning. The appointment began on time and the Doctor was very knowledgeable. The back office followed up with me a few days later to see how I was feeling. Overall a very positive experience.

I'm still waiting to get an appointment after signing up 2 months ago. Had a morning of cancellation. They tried giving me a last minute appointment but i wouldn't make it in time. The next appointment they offered was a month away 😳 so far it isn't worth the hassle and extra cost. They operate just like a regular doctor's office with limited availability. Had i seen this review before signing up, i would have thought twice. Don't waste your money. Stick with your regular insurance.
I love them. They are such a blessing to the community.
I volunter my time at a soup kitchen in the East Vill twice/week serving 150+ ppl/day and each one is treated with respect, unlike the surly young man at the coffee/tea table. There is an unnecessary amt of antagonistic, sassy-pants behavior by someone who CHOOSES to be there. Hopefully, this fey ogre can be remedied.
Otherwise, the chef is proud of his daily fare and should be; scrumptious. There volunteer servers are charming. When Im in the area for medical appts etc, I enjoy a lunch and hospitality at BC.

If I could give this place more than 5 stars I would. I came here to get surgery for my Crohn’s and I was beyond impressed with care, service, food and cleanliness. I had to stay a lot longer than anticipated and they made sure I was comfortable and taken care of. Pain management was great, surgery prep was great, surgery was amazing and non invasive, PT was excellent, and every nurse I met made my day. I highly recommend this place for getting surgery. Private room was clean, comfortable, nice TV and private bathroom. Even gave the staff a nice goody bag as a thank you! I’ll be back in a few months for follow up surgery. Not looking forward to it as it’s yet another surgery but at least I know I’ll be walking into a supportive and caring hospital that I know will take great care of me! 😃

The chat communication on the app may have improved, but needs more time to be sure. One thing I'm looking for is they can handle more than one message at a time. After all, patients do get more than one concern at a time. I used to have to choose my battles with when using the chat, because if I sent two, one would get lost. So the next few times I have multiple messages, we'll see what happens.

While I’ve been satisfied with the medical services and the proficiency of their physicians, their new patient portal is so clumsy as to be unworkable. Messages sent to me cannot be answered on the site. When I resort to ordinary email, I receive back a dubious, rude and non professional response chastising me for using email but not providing any information on how to use their patient portal.

I volunteer there all the time - great way to give back/help those in need
Went to the clinic to save time versus going to my PCP. Was told to pay up front and that there would be no hidden fees which I verified on their website. After I paid and waited to see the doctor the doctor discouraged me and said I did not need him. I continue anyway after we have a conversation about risks. I end up with a second bill 4 months later from Quest Diagnostics saying I owe money for the lab equipment used. When I call it appears they are closed for further notice and Quest Diagnostics does not provide customer support and just sticks you with a bill.
Dr. Slava is a quick and a no nonsense kind of doctor. He is kind and warm but gets right to the point. This is exactly what I'm looking for in a quick doctors appointment. I wish I could have been seen quicker but a 20 minute for a midtown doctor isn't bad at all. Highly recommend making Dr. Slava your go to!
Sit ssf own meal, lots of people so arrive kinda early. Five course meal and usually very humble people

Best hospital facilities I’ve ever been in. And I’ve visited quite a few hospitals while tending to my parents in the past decade. And the bonus is all the amazing people who work here. Be it in the rooms, cafe, waiting room, all the people associated to this community in this hospital are compassionate and helpful. They are Amazing! Thank you!

PS: This is my dad Leonard Cerisano.
They have really got to get their service and team organization together, but the food is pretty darn good
