Reviews

I recently had EVLA and Foam Sclerotherapy at the liverpool clinic. I had two appointments, one was a follow up six weeks after the initial treatment. I had suffered with irritated, unsightly veins for years, but was always nervous about having the procedure.
I should not have been and regret now not having it done sooner. Everyone at the clinic were amazing. The receptionist, the assistant nurse and Dr Lake. Everyone made me feel so comfortable, it was very professional but like going to see old friends. Everything was comprehensively explained to me before the procedure. I was made to feel completely at ease. The actual procedure was no more uncomfortable than a standard trip to my dentist. I would certainly recommend the Liverpool clinic and Dr Lake and his team. If you want a smiling, friendly, humoures and extremely professional service, relatively pain free, this clinic is the one. If I need any future treatment, I will definitely go back.
A very thankful Kev.

Very clean great staff waiting time was ok 30 min to 1 hour, as appointments for different medical treatments I went for diabetic eye screening big car par and shops handy, chemist and library inside

My only regret is that I hadn’t gone earlier to veincentre. I’d been thinking about the treatment for over a year and wasn’t convinced that it would work as well as it was claimed…I was wrong. My legs were badly affected with protruding veins but have now cleared up totally. I’m so pleased and have no issues putting on shorts anymore. Definitely worth the money.

Wife took grandson this there morning (17/12/23), man on the door said not open today, reason they had no nurses, what's the point in the place, doesn't Halewood deserve better?

I am thrilled with the care and treatment I had from both Dr Previn Diwakar and Julie Woof. I had the foam sclerotherapy treatment and from the initial scan, the treatment and the follow up appointment I was well informed. I am so pleased with the results and I wish I'd had the treatment sooner. I would definitely recommend.

Absolutely disgusting standard of service . Was told wait til was 1 hour 30 mins .. still waiting over 3 and a half hours with baby. Was told I was next in the Que and 5 other people were seen before us … absolutely Terrible experience and staff didn’t not care !

Receptionist was lovely tried to help as much as she could but av been waiting to be seen for over 2 weeks now this NHS service is disgusting and disappointing and no wonder the amount of people killing themselves when you try to ring for help and there’s no1 out there to help the government needs to address this situation because they have got a lot of deaths on there hands and doing nothing about it 🤬

Used to come here for dental care. Dentist was incredibly friendly, patient and knowledgeable of my needs however, dealing with appointments is a pain as they just pluck appointment dates out of the air without finding one around my times. Not a bad service overall.

Been coming here long time , never had a problem , drs efficient and reception staff lovely, yes it's hard to get through sometimes but just turn up at 8am for appointment

This is the worst GP in the world every time I need thim they let me down today I have appointment on 6.30pm for my wife I arrived 6.15 and still waiting to 7.15 without any respect to my time every time I get into this gp I get out with alot of stress and anger

I couldn’t fault this place. After previously waiting 30 minutes at Widnes walk in centre for advice only, I was seen by a nurse and the only advice she gave me without asking about my symptoms was to go to Halewood walk in centre. Why the reception staff couldn’t have told me, I’ll never know. So I arrive at Halewood walk in and immediately called to reception; she was lovely and friendly, took all my details and told me to take a seat in the waiting room. I sent my husband a quick text and was called in to be seen. Nurse was very efficient, did my obs and checked the areas I complained of. A diagnosis was made, and prescription sent to the pharmacy next door and 20 minutes later I went home.

Been here a few times to give blood. In and out in minutes all done. Maybe one downside was I wanted to get a NHS dentist , and was told not a chance. I thought NHS was free for everyone , so why NO !

No probs with this place. I've only come across one nurse who was abrupt, perhaps she was having a bad day. All other nurses and receptionists have been exemplary.

Went to the Walk In yesterday 16th June, had insect bites on my leg which had become infected. In and out within 30 minutes with a prescription for antibiotics, waited longer in the Boots Chemist to get my prescription. All the staff in the Walk In were helpful and pleasant

Excellent service. Dr Diwakar and Julie (staff nurse) are both extremely professional and genuinely lovely people. They make the whole experience very relaxed and personable.
Any pain or discomfort resulting from the treatment are insignificant when compared with the results. I would have no hesitation in recommending the clinic.

Had my veins treated in the Liverpool centre Dr Diwaker answered all my questions on my first consultation Julie the nurse was just so lovely. I have had a fantastic result my legs look and feel so much better. Thank you both for a fantastic result you are both amazing.

I just wanted to give a big shout out and thank you to Paula and all the admin/reception staff at Knowsley Medical Centre. Far too often these frontline staff take a lot of flack and negativity from the service users of Knowsley Medical Centre. I want to say a big thank you for all the help and support and advice you have given me in the past and even more so over the past six months. You are all truly appreciated. Viv Thomas x

Annoyed that I have to give at least one star to this place as they certainly don't deserve it.
As much as the Tories are at fault for the state of the NHS, places like this don't help themselves.
When we first joined in 2013 (before they merged with Aston) this was a great GP and we had a named Dr who we could see swiftly if needed, if there were no appts they would organise a call to talk through symptoms.
Fast forward 9 years and I don't even know who my Dr is, I have a number of health issues that I try and speak to my Dr about, including some concerns about bowel health, but every time I actually get through to a Dr they tell me there are no appts and to go to a Walk-in centre (who are fully staffed by nurses not Doctors!)
I also have a disabled son and have no faith at all in being able to get a GP appt sorted for him should a medical emergency arise.
They blame staff numbers but they are the ones who only have 2 Drs covering all their patients, they set themselves up for failure and expect us to feel sorry for them - fat chance!
I'm currently in a lot of pain and I've been on hold for half an hour (and will likely be told there are no appts). I will be taking the poor state of this GP Surgery to the local press, my local MP and anyone else I can get to listen.
Update - I got to 5 in the queue and they hung up - calling back their automated system won't let me speak to anyone to make a complaint. Absolute joke of a service. Truly awful

I very nearly walked back out of here because we stood in a big queue in -5° snowy weather for over half an hour - (because we were unaware of the reduced open hours 10am-6pm not 8am-8pm as the website stated) - to then walk in and find people who'd sneaked in the building from the other side being seen to first. I spoke to a receptionist who was really understanding and suggested to the other receptionist (who was dealing with the ones who sneaked in) that they need to keep the internal shutter down until the people waiting in the freezing cold are seen to first. We then went into triage and seen a very abrupt nurse who didn't let me explain properly, made assumptions based on an overheard conversation and then tried her best to put us off waiting to be seen 😡
I'm so glad I stood up for my daughter and asked to wait for her to be examined.
The reason I've given 3 stars is for the nurse that called us through she was really lovely and done a thorough check of my daughters abdomin and gave us some suggestions to manage the ongoing pain which was extremely reassuring after 3 weeks and a waste of omeprazol prescribed by our gp over the phone. First impressions are alot but that nurse restored my faith and anyone going here don't be put off by abrupt triage nurses, if you feel you or your child need seeing ask to wait to be seen.

Dr. Diwaker and Julie, the nurse, were fantastic. I had wanted to get this procedure done for a long time and I couldn’t have picked a better place. Dr. Diwaker was very informative and made me feel confident about the procedure. He answered all my questions and gave me great advice for after care. Julie was an amazing nurse, who could not have been more helpful. I told her that I loved The Killers, and within minutes she had put them playing on Alexa, which was really thoughtful. I didn’t think about having the procedure as Julie was so lovely to talk to. I was told that I may not see results after I took the stockings off, and I was advised to wear them for 2 weeks. However, I was shocked by how good my legs looked after the 2 weeks, it’s now been around 2 months after the procedure and I am confident getting my legs out, I couldn’t be happier! The receptionist was also extremely friendly and polite and I would definitely recommend the Liverpool clinic.

What do you have to do to get an appointment with a doctor at this surgery.?
Been phoning every morning for over a month, got through on a few occasions to be told all appointments are taken, go to A&E.
Queued up outside In the morning with people who had been there since 7am, still told no appointments.
I don’t need an emergency appointment but am told I cant have one at a later date.
The E.consult/triage system is constantly down.
Absolute of a surgery.

I was pleasantly surprised by how warm & friendly all the staff were- Dr Diwakar, Julie (nurse) & Emily (receptionist). All made me feel at home & relaxed.
I had an initial consultation & scan, followed by EVLA & sclerotherapy. Approximately six weeks later, a follow up Sclerotherapy appointment (today).
To say that I’m happy with the results is an understatement.
I really can’t recommend Liverpool Veincentre enough.

Started calling with 2 separate phone making a appointment and 8:03 ( after a constants call from both phones) I got in the que 15 and waiting 1 hour 5 minutes from 15 to my call 1 I have been told there are no appointments left today ( Friday) I really don't get it but I leave it into your thoughts about this and really this is not good. Am a heart patient with pacamaker. This NHS system is stings. Am going to prove all that to health secretary take it out with them . Sort your self's out. Unbelievable

I went to the Liverpool vein centre after researching a way to get rid of my unsightly veins without any down time and I am delighted with the results and am now proud of my legs again !
Dr Previn Diwakar and his lovely nurse Julie made me feel confident and cared for the whole way through my treatment . I had previously had my veins stripped before there was this more conservative was approach available, and this was very invasive and ultimately unsuccessful.
I would advise anyone considering this treatment to have it sooner rather than later , as the results far out way the affordable pricing offered by the Veincentre. Thank you Veincentre Liverpool , especial thanks to Previn and Julie .

I feel the GP’s has improved over the last couple of years. Much more efficient. Every time I have contacted them I have been able to make an appointment albeit a phone consultation, but that it just the way it is at the moment. Receptionists have vastly improved as well, they are very helpful and advice you as much as they can. Think they deserve 5 stars now for the efforts and improvements moving forward. Bring back online e-consults and more face to face appointments 👍

Very professional and fast. The two women were kind. Do not aspect a big institution . It is only a single room with all inside but enough for what you need. They give you print of scan and a digital pics and video as well. Very happy about the service

Professional, knowledgeable and caring! Absolutely made up with my experience

Find this such an unprofessional business. I know staff can become sick and from this my scan has been cancelled 12 hours before scan they have called me to say it's now not happening.
When speaking to the girl she said I can go to Manchester I advised I have no transport and only have the morning off work. Her reply was its only 30 minutes away.....
When you have waited 3 weeks for the scan and to be told 12 hours before that your scan is now cancelled and you have to wait another week with the lady having an attitude on the phone is so unprofessional I am so disappointed and won't be re booking or recommending them.
