If I can give a zero star review I would. Decided to come in today to ask for a program the Garden State Medical Group offers on the website and the so called “receptionist” had no clue what I was talking about and didn’t even know the services her job offers.

The female psychiatrist here is awful. Just sits there and nods at whatever you say. No advice, pointers, etc. And her sessions are only about 25 minutes, then next. They lie about scheduled appointments, then say that you didn't show up. Lorena is a JOKE "counselor". Stay away from this place!

I literally understood the bad reviews just by one phone call asking if they were accepting new patients.The attitude the gentleman who answered the phone had was very let’s say not so smart.. Shame.

Everything was good but my complaint was at one time my insurance was not covering the bill anymore and I had no more refills and I told the doctor if I could just get one last refill to hold me on until I found a doctor and the doctor said no because I'm not getting paid so I had to go to my my primary doctor and he helped me out for 3 months until I got another psychiatric doctor and what was the problem on just going on your computer and giving me one last refill and I thought they cared but I see money is more important

The receptionist has an attitude problem. He kept rushing my elderly mother to finish the paperwork. This is a red flag mind you the place is empty. This is horrible place to come if your looking for treatment. The staff keeps peeking through the window taking turns to see who is sitting down. Please give the guy receptionist a counseling appointment since he needs it.

The doctors are not too bad but one of the receptionist should look for something else to do for a living. No sense of what patient attention is, bad manners seems to be her way to talk. Definitely, the first impression makes you want to go away!

I would have given zero start. Worst Medical service ever, no one even bothers to attend the call, being trying to get some one on call all day long and it is not even a public holiday. Better find some other Medical group which takes their patients health seriously.

I hope this is the right area, I checked with a picture on the inside and this is definitely the place, but I want it noted that it my experience was ONLY with this woman, I’ve heard nothing bad about the other doctors. I will update this shortly with her name. The most awful “psychologist”, I have never had such a disgusting and insulting experience with a mental health “professional” before. My psychologist was based in vermont where I used to live, and I stopped going up there about 8 years ago. We did zoom /Skype appointments but he was an older gentleman and due to his health he eventually retired. It was quite sudden. I live in the building across the way, and I needed my medication that I have been taking since I was 12, it was urgent. I talked to her for about 15 minutes, and WOW. My mother was with me, and mentioned an issue I had with an ex boyfriend who did drugs with me when I was 20!! I am in my late thirties now! I then made the mistake of saying I live in the across the street (I guess this neighborhood isn’t up to her standards), and I could see the look o her face. I brought my old receipts from prescriptions dating back to 2005. She proceeds to tell me I am a drug addict and she will never prescribe me any of the medications that have allowed me to live my life for the majority of my life. She looked me up and down and said “ I know you are a drug addict” I was SHOCKED. I’ve never been told that by anyone before. Then she tells me I am clearly depressed and here are a bunch of samples for some weird new antidepressant!‼︎ I am engaged, this is the happiest I have been in years, what the H is going on here!?⁉︎ I left in a daze. This awful creature should be nowhere near anyone seeing mental help!

The services that I receive from Garden state group is excellent. Dr. Shah and the staff are friendly and ensure that. I would have no qualms in recommending them to friendly and friends.

horrible place if i could rate it zero i would. they deny help and the man talking to my mom in the phone was disrespectful telling her she has to wait 6 month and give them a call to make an appointment because she missed a call that she never received. WHAT TYPE OF PLACE IS THIS.

Yo les daría cero estrellas nada profesional llame para hacer una cita por primera ves y la senora que me asistió muy ruda y fría no sé cómo este lugar tiene 5 estrellas . Para ser un centro médico la atención al cliente muy mala ..
No lo recomiendo ahora es muy difícil encontrar buenos doctores que sean profesionales y buenas enfermeras que tengan vocación a esa carrera ...

This place is a medicaid mill.

They treat you like a number.

Their "treatment" has you coming in without any structure toward goals or targets. The therapy has no structure, and is made to draw itself out, so they can collect more and more from medicaid.

If you want to just be a way for them to take money from medicaid, while your problems remain unresolved, then go to this clinic.

This place only cares about those medicaid dollars you bring in.

They're a medicaid mill.

They prolong "treatment" to ensure money keeps flowing in, and offer no structure or goals to the treatment.

Avoid this place if you want genuine help.

Very professional and courteous psychiatric and therapy staff. Best thing I ever did for my mental health. If you are struggling, get help here. Call them ahead with insurance information and availability for an appointment. You won't regret it.
