Been going to the park and zoo my whole life. Now I bring the grandkids here. Playgrounds, trails, Mastodon fossils, and small zoo.

Great small zoo. Sometimes you can't see several of the animals. Last time I was there they didn't have their alligators which was a big draw for us. Maybe they have them back. It's free and they have playgrounds nearby which is a big bonus.

Small but a nice place to walk. All animals are lovingly cared for.
We stopped here while in the area visiting friends. The kids loved how close you feel to all the animals. It is perfect for a quick zoo visit!

The only downside was the alligators outgrew their habitat and have recently been relocated to a different zoo.

Awesome place with alot of history! Have a look at the huge dinosaur bones inside. Then have a
Walk around the zoo to see the elk, the wolves, bald eagle, hawks, turkeys, yaks, alpacas. The playground area & picnic area is great for kids. The gardens are beautiful & the vets memorial is too! Best of all it’s free!!
Beautiful park! Small zoo but cute not too many animals were out
I didn't take the time today to checkout the entire park. The only part I was interested in was the Mastodon display. It is one of the Earth Cache's I wanted to get done this weekend.
The inside display is small, but detailed and will give you lots of information. Once done in the center, walk out to the other side of the building to see the statue of the man digging bones. It's pretty nice. If your kids are into dinosaurs bones, this is a nice place to bring them. It is free. There is also a free zoo, but I'll need to check that out next time.

This zoo is small but so fun. Great for a few hours of exploring with my kiddos. Stroller friendly. I really enjoyed that the majority of the animals were there because they were rescued from the wild for one reason or another. The zoo also has a great playground!
We came to visit from out of town. It was a nice little walk around outside. They had a little pollen/ plant festival which was a great surprise to me!! We liked seeing the animals though some animals look like they could use a bit of an upgrade. My daughter loved playing at the park!

Very nice rescue area for birds. Great that it's free. It certainly needs more volunteer help which I imagine is not easy to find. Nice playground & a little lake there, lots of picnic tables. Parking was easy. Overall a nice quick visit for me & my 8.5 yo daughter.
Came here tonight to drive thru their little Christmas light show. Super cute, and plenty for young ones to look at. Close to home and was free so bonus! Definitely recommend their lights if you have a little one obsessed with Christmas. Enjoy!
Phillips Park has so much to offer there is a trail, they have so much land you can have a cook out in the summer, they have a beautiful sunken garden, historical area, small zoo, park and golf course. it's a fun place place to visit
The mastodon lake used to look beautiful, housed many birds and small animals. I dod not see many evasive plants but one or two here and there. For some reason they destroyed 90 percent of the trees and plants. Does it look clean, no because instead they should have focused on the trash clean-up in the pond/ lake. It looks disgusting now, no shade while running, have seen fewer animals now including the fish that used to go by the edge and stick their tails out.
This is a nice, small park. Perfect for an afternoon away from the house. The garden WOWed me! Beautiful! The flowers were gorgeous! I could not stop staring at the flowers - make great photos ;)!
Right next to it is the zoo, which is also another place to explore. All in all, it’s a very convenient and small park to go to in a beautiful day! if you want to enjoy colors and flowers for free- definitely go there
Will most definitely return!
I'm giving it four stars because even though they have only about a dozen animal exhibits, it's actually a pretty nice walk. It's a great place to take your kids, and it's free. There's a couple of wolves, eagles, peacocks and some other animals. It's pretty cool.

It's no Brookfield zoo by any stretch, but for being in the suburbs and all I really can't complain. Again, it's free!
There is so much for families to do together. Visiting the zoo, learning the history of the excavation of the site and Mammoth bones found. Children can burn off energy at the large playground and cool off in the splash pad. Picnic tables and pavilions offer great places for picnics and get togethers😊
