This is a small bear zoo located in Cherokee. It’s $6 per person and $1 for a food tray, a mixture of apple slices, whole wheat bread and lettuce. We even got some free trays. It’s sad to see them in captivity but exciting to see them up close and being fed. They love being fed and will wave back at you if you wave. It’s small but nice and you are I. The shade. It’s an inexpensive place to visit if in town!
I love that they take care of these bears, but I feel it's not natural enough. It's old style concrete and such. The staff are friendly and it is a thrill to feed the bears with the food that we purchase.

It took 6$ for us to enter and 1$ per every tray we fed them. They look healthy and in good condition. I still feel that it would be good if they had more area. The photo with the cub costs 25$ and 10 per extra copy.

The bears are healthy period. They are at the correct weight, they are active and have running clean water. They actively play in the water, rub against the trees. They are given mostly apples and lettuce with a little bread for a carb. There is also an area with goats, you cannot feed the goats the fresh foods as they are kept on a diet and pellets are offered for $0.25. They also have some monkeys and a fox but those you are not allowed to feed.

There is a baby bear you can take pictures with. You are not allowed to hold or manhandle the bear. Baby bear is spicy in the best way.

The gentlemen working here ate EXCELLENT with my special needs son. I was so appreciative of them and their patience!

I enjoyed visiting the Cherokee Bear Zoo. It cost $6.00 to enter. They offered a paper tray with a piece of bread with cut up apples for $1.00. I bought one, but they also have gum machines that dispense, what smelled like dog food, for 25 cents. The enclosures were clean and had no odor. Most of the bears were adults but there was one bear cub in a separate cage. I enjoyed watching him play. They also had a small heard of Nigerian Dwarf Goats. If you are in the area, and have time, it is worth visiting.
I almost forgot, they allow you to take still photographs but do not allow videos.

It's your typical tourist attraction, definitely worth checking out, if you've never been. You can feed the bears and some of the other animals. We got lucky on the day we went and we were able to feed, hold and interact with the baby cub. Definitely a memorable experience.

There's a lot of nasty reviews about this place, and I had to see for myself. Took my youngest daughter Friday and liked it so much I took the rest of the kids on Saturday. The family is very nice and really cares about their animals. I'm left to assume the negative reviews are PETA and the likes commenting. Keep on doing what y'all are doing Cherokee Bear Zoo. We will be back for sure!!!

This is my second time visiting Cherokee Bear Zoo and each time has been amazing. Although, hate they live in a concrete facility I must say it’s always clean and has fun activities for the bears to do. The bears are well taken care of and the staff is always friendly and helpful. Maybe someday they will have a more grassy area for the bears to enjoy their time but I know that comes with the right funding. Thanks for the experiences, Cherokee Bear Zoo! From Indiana.
