We engaged Michael to build our family home in Yarraville. If we could give 6 stars, we would. Michael understood the brief from day one, and incorporated that brief into an extraordinary design that we can't wait to see come to life. He was accommodating, patient, incredibly knowledgeable, calm, and meticulous and prompt. He has not missed a beat with planning and building requirements, with all i's dotted and t's crossed. We would not hesitate recommending him.

Whilst searching for an architect to design our forever dream home, I came across Chadwick Architects. Their recent projects were quite impressive, and I decided to make a call and speak with the architect director. About 5 minutes into my conversation with Michael, I knew he was ‘the one’.
Chadwick architects had a tough brief, modern designer family home with a challenging construction budget.
What I loved about Michael and the team, is that they listened and delivered! As we progressed with the town planning permit whilst facing tricky topography, we soon realised that this is going to be a very detailed project with various stakeholder authoritarian groups involved. Michael demonstrated an incredible work ethic, knowledge, patience and professionalism which put me at ease, as I knew that we were in very competent hands.
Our construction has commenced, cannot wait to see the amazing design come to life! Highly recommend!

What do you want in an architect? I wanted someone who came highly recommended (tick), someone with creative flair (tick), and someone who knew what they were doing with the drawings so we didn't end up to-ing and fro-ing with a notoriously difficult council for longer than necessary (tick again).

We got all of this, and more on top, by using Michael Chadwick of Chadwick Architects. We engaged Michael on the hefty renovation project of a sinking 1930's bungalow, at a time when the construction costs had blown up worldwide, and builders were notoriously hard to source.

Michael was marvellous. The initial design meeting blew us way with how incredibly detailed his team had been about every element of our brief. He had somehow taken all of our "wishlist" and morphed it into something truly special; something with a touch of magic.

Chadwick Architects also helped us navigate our way through the very complicated process of getting permits, sourcing builders and dealing with all that the planning process throws your way.

Michael was a joy to work with - friendly, calm, funny, and with a knack of making you not feel stupid when you asked all the really dumb things you inevitably ask along the way. He got our plans through council at lightening speed through his meticulous attention to detail, and helped us secure a builder (no small feat!) during a time when finding a builder was like winning the lotto.

There's a reason so many houses in Yarraville are turning to Chadwick Architects; you'll get amazing work, with an amazing team, and you won't be left wondering whether the architect was really "worth it" because you'll know inherently that it was worth it and more.

Mike and the team have been great to work with throughout the process. Very friendly and amazing designs. They managed to smoothly navigate our heritage overlay and create a modern home, yet preserve and enhance the heritage characteristics of the home.

They incorporated our design thoughts and their expertise into a fantastic design. Now that the build is underway, we feel as if we are walking through the plans and the animations they produced for us.

There have been a few renovations along our street in the past couple of years and we believe that because of Chadwick Architects we have ended up with a far superior result with less hurdles and objections (from the council).
