Stone Ridge prides itself on building community amongst the students and families. As first-year parents with two daughters in the lower school, we most certainly enjoy this past school year. From attending culmination project open houses, volunteering at lunch and at gator gallery along with a host of school events, we were able to observe our daughters’ adjustment and progress at the school. We are looking forward to next school year.

I attended the Woods Academy for ten years and absolutely loved it. The faculty and staff became a second family and provided me with an excellent academic and spiritual foundation. I made life-long friends and will always remember the time I spent there fondly. The Woods community will always have a special place in my heart.

I have a daughter who is a graduate, a son who attended their Montessori program and a daughter who will be in second grade next year. I cannot say how happy I am that we chose the Woods. The faculty is second to none.

Can only rate the fields as we have used them for sports. The turf is great but gets very hot. Bathroom is always locked and coached don't always know the code.

Woods is truly a gem, a treasure in Bethesda. Excellent teachers, wonderful community, great children.

Prep U and one-on-one tutoring with David Storper improved my test scores, refined my testing skills and strategies, and helped me excel in areas I had previously been struggling in. David catered to my individual needs as a test taker and made me want to come back again and again to improve my score even further. I was able to strengthen my abilities as both a test taker and a student and learned valuable techniques for future testing. I have never been a good test taker which gave me a lot of anxiety going into this process, but David Storper was able to make it stress free and improved my scores tremendously. I had a great experience working with David. His tutoring was targeted toward me and what I needed to work on. I can honestly say that his tutoring helped me a lot and was able to help me reach the score I was aiming for on my first attempt at the actual test. Could not recommend his service enough.

It is a nice school

Visited the school and it's grounds for a soccer match. As I was walking onto the turf field I was met by a "gentleman" that was quite rude. The man never asked why I was there he aggressively told me to leave. I explained that I had a soccer match there at 3:00 PM and that I was just preparing. He stated "No! The field is only available by rentals and the team (we were the guests) had only paid from 3:00 to 4:30. If you want to warm up, I can call OBGC and ask if they wish to pay for more time!" The field was not being used from 2:00 on. Never had this happen before and surely didn't need to be approached or talked to like this "gentleman" did. I understand his position but seriously, learn some manners and how to speak with people.

Athletic director was extremely rude when trying to play our soccer game.

With one daughter and presently three grand daughters attending Stone Ridge I could not be more proud of the results for my favorite young ladies.

My younger sister went here for kindergarten and we had a great experience.

My friends and I were treated very badly by a teacher named miss spotolnick but everyone else was nice.

We have been at this school for four years and couldn't be happier with the quality of education our daughters are receiving. The teachers are excellent and the curriculum is challenging. We were driven to the school due to the stress on science and languages (French and Arabic) even in the youngest grades. Our daughters have thrived in the small and diverse classes. The school has a welcoming community and the students do live by the motto of "be kind."

We have had our daughter at this school since pre-school and she loves it. This school and its method of teaching are a magic elixir for what ails most public school teaching. Come to Waldorf and find a better way to learn.

A fantastic community of teachers who are dedicated to their students. My two kids have been there for six years and love it. Lots more info about our school on DC Urban Moms. Come take a tour or attend the bazaar in November to get a sense of what Waldorf/ Steiner education is all about.

Incredible place for children to learn at a developmentally appropriate pace without being beholden to nonstop testing. Teachers here have deep relationships with and insights into their individual students. So happy to have found this wonderful school and community!

We have two children at this school, and they are both extremely happy there, and wouldn't want to be anywhere else. The teachers are extremely dedicated, and the quality of the students' work is extraordinary. The curriculum is very rich, and the approach to teaching encourages a love of learning which is really the most important thing a school can provide.

We have been at Washington Episcopal for several happy years. While WES has many great strengths, to me, the School truly excels at helping students become confident, poised public speakers--an impressive feat for an N to 8 school! During my kids' first year at WES, in Transition (pre-K), they presented five fun facts about a rainforest animal to their teachers and classmates. From there, I have seen my kids and their friends gain experience and confidence as they present in class, perform in plays in front of the whole school, read at Chapel, and numerous other opportunities to read, speak, and perform in front of an audience. This transformative experience was really brought home to me this spring when my kids, ages 8 and 10, were asked to do a Bible reading at a family memorial service. I never occurred to me that they could not do the reading in front of 60 adults, many whom they didn't know. Yet, as I watched an adult speaker grow nervous during the service and my own kids read without a hitch, I realized what a great gift WES has given my children--confident public speaking.

David Storper provided superb tutoring for my three siblings and me. He is personable, quick, and has a well organized method to improve test scores. David makes test prep as fun as it can be, and I would actually look forward to my one-on-one sessions. He will conduct a diagnostic test and only focus on the skills you need assistance with. No time is wasted. His method is unique and more comprehensive than prep books, group sessions, and other tutoring companies. My friends who went to other tutoring companies did not have as great of experiences as I did. The scores he helped me achieve got me into my top choice University. I would certainly recommend Prep U!
