We recently held our wedding ceremony at St. Rose of Lima. Deacon John prepared us for our sacrament. He was very supportive and really helped us go through the process of making sure we completed all the steps as part of the Catholic Diocese. We truly felt prepared to not just have a wedding, but prepare for our commitment of marriage. The church office staff were really helpful and allowed us to access the church to figure out our décor. Maly helped us with the rehearsal, and patiently waited until our family arrived and reviewed it several times so that we all could remember and feel comfortable. Maly also helped us with the day of ceremony. Mr. Advento did the music, which was of course beautiful. Mr. Advento listened to our requests including the Psalm and the Ave Maria was beautifully sung. Father Miguel was phenomenal. Even our non-religious friends and family, thought Father Miguel spoke wonderfully, and was entertaining. He included my daughter in the ceremony so she would feel part of. Everything went smoothly, the ceremony was special, and we truly felt supported by our local church community.
Just a beautiful church and great people. The feeling of peacefulness and love. Highly recommend this place
That was in the parish hall. I look forward to attend Mass once a month where the ASL interpreters are.
This is a very nice community church.
Plenty of parking. I grew up at this church. Very welcoming. Beautiful inside.
I attend mass here on occasion when I'm in town because it's a central location to our extended family.
We have attended mass at St. Rose of Lima Cath. Church for different reasons over the past 31 years; baptisms, weekly mass and funerals. This is a large church with a sizeable parking lot; there's always off street parking near by.
On my quest to attend mass in all of the San Diego County Catholic Churches I found another welcoming place to talk to God. The environment is a good place to go to pray and give thanks to our Lord and Savior.
I want to go to pay respect to my best friend that passed away recently
The concave design of the Church resembles an opera house or a Roman Theater, where all the parishioners have the altar right in front of their visual field. The floor plan has an inclination of about 6 degrees where the altar is located at the bottom and the entrance is at the top. This causes the rows to descend until the last row is at the same level as the altar. People in the row in front of yours, can't block your view of the altar. The floor plan helps the congregation to become one and the whole view is spectacular. Add to this an experienced father who makes the ceremony a beautiful and inspiring experience and you have one of the best places to attend Sunday mass with your family.
Come and checkout the new church. It is absolutely stunning. The baptismal fountain is right at the entrance as a welcoming icon.
Mater Dei Great school. staff are awesome
Great organization and warm welcome, awesome community
Great place for praying, 🚻 were clean, ♿ access all around. The Father at the 11 o'clock Sunday English mass was maybe one of 10 people still wearing a mask the entire mass, I didn't feel very welcomed, but still 5 stars, the small community was welcoming. They are having their Kermes next weekend (6 & 7 August), have fun 😊.
Small church, very warm welcome when you arrive. Sunday Spanish mass at 1 pm. Plenty of parking! ♿
Excellent place to play Bingo. Volunteers are great. They serve food and drinks. Free coffee. Different types of flashboard's, double action, show me the money, and free speedy with buy in. Pay off bingo games $200 and consolation $50
I saw the facilities looks good , i know is top ten schools in San Diego . The attention was good ,good cuatomer service .
Thank you Father Jovencio, the best Christmas gift was receiving the Eucharist in the mouth, as I did since my first communion and for 60 years. God bless you. Blessed and praised be God!!!
I called to get information so my daughter can get her sacraments at this temple. However, the secretary passed judgment with just her tone of voice. I thought church was a place where one goes to not have judgment passed on them. It wasn't the case here!!!
Veronica is the nicest person to talk to. She is very helpful and inspiring. This church is a wonderful reminder of what having a good comforting sense of community feels like.
The best school ever, you feel like part of a big loving family, beautiful campus. My son is so happy,
My husband and I were looking for a church where we could feel at home when we came here we knew this was it. The community is truly strong in the Holy Spirit united as one in God's love and you feel that and the presence of God right away. I love the community and the church ⛪!!
Yesterday I made an appointment for 3pm. I called the church at 9:30 am. For my three grandchildren, 15, 16 and 17 year old boys, confession before the end of Lent. They were ready and happy to see the priest. We arrived on time. The clerk at the window said, let me tell the priest that you guys are here. 3 min later I asked her "is the priest running late"?. She said he is not here, he just left to confess a person that is dying..than a tall woman at the window conformed with me the lie.."the priest left 10 min ago"..than the other clerk said wait 10min and he will be here. My young grandkids said, "let's go grandma 👵, they are lying 🤥. We left. Bad service and these two , especially the tall one with long hair, showed no sympathy, a cold robot.
Plain and simple a wonderful and welcoming church. The parking can get full but there’s always a space waiting. The church itself is quite large, the young man I’ve seen play piano and sings leads a beautiful song throughout the service. It’s simple and no fuss and a variety of members- all races sizes of families and even a lot of single people with friendly faces.

I really enjoy their flyer they give
Great church and plenty of parking. The priest is very nice and the mass for the Quinceanera was truly beautiful.
Perhaps the best place to be with our Blessed Virgin of Guadalupe. The inside is indeed holy, and the January 1st Mass was just wondeful! I now feel like I'm a part of this family/community, and I couldn't be much happier than this. Really want to attend another Sunday Mass here, it's great to be at home with God.
Small, but welcoming and friendly. I've only been here a few times, but I feel elated when I set foot in here. And after Sunday Mass, there are fundraising events. The food there is delicious. I simply have no words when I try out their dishes.

This has to be, in my opinion, the most beautiful church in all of Chula Vista.
