Fantastic church!
A very good International Church with a nice community
Beautiful chapel in the heart of the Hague. If you’re not religious, just take a moment to rest while sitting down in a gorgeously decorated chapel, framed by superb stained glass windows.
If you are religious, be aware that most celebrations are in Dutch. Confession is also provided in other languages depending on the availability of the friars.
On the ground floor you can find a beautiful café and shop. They sell homemade fresh cakes, coffee and tea as well as products made in different abbeys and convents around Europe.

Amazing community of people from all over the world. The mass is beautiful! It would be nice if the church could stay open outside the mass hours.

Beautiful Roman Catholic church built in the 19th century. It's located close to the city centre. In 1975 the church was designated a national monument because of its architectural and historical value. In 2010 the church finished it's latest renovation and it has been open ever since then
Mooie grote oude rooms-katholieke kerk in de wijk Segbroek in Den Haag. Een begrip in deze wijk. De kerk staat bekend om zijn mooie geschilderde kruisweg. De Heilige Familiekerk werd tussen 1921 en 1922 gebouwd. Architect Jan Stuyt ontwierp de kerk. Het is een zogenaamde grote basilikale neoromaanse kruiskerk met twee identieke klokkentorens aan de voorzijde. Aan de gevel een mozaïek met een afbeelding van de heilige familie. Herkenbaar aan het werk van Jan Stuyt zijn de schaakbord motieven die ook in deze kerk aanwezig zijn.
Children upbringing in Christlike ways is of top priority here and the Church is still standing tall trying to deepen Christianity irrespective of the perceived decline of Christianity in the area.
This is a magnificent church with incredible works of art. I highly recommend paying a visit when you're in The Hague.

I attended the Sunday Mass at this parish a few times. Despite what it says on the website, the Sunday Mass is at 11:00 am, not 10:15 am.
It's not TLM; it's a (reverent) Novus Ordo Mass in Latin. You can receive Holy Communion on the tongue or in the hand -- I'd say 50-60% of the congregation choose the former. Altar rails are in use. Also, an excellent choir accompanies the Sunday Mass. The priests are nor afraid to use incense. From what I observed, there are only male altar servers. I can't speak much about the teachings since I don't know Dutch and didn't understand the homilies.
All in all, it's one of the most beautiful Novus Ordo Masses I attended.

My wife and I in the US and stream the mass almost every Sunday. Our friends who live in the Netherlands introduced us to their church during Covid, and we are so glad they did! Father Sjaak always delivers a thoughtful and intelligent homily. His messages are meaningful and always leave an impression.

Mooie ingetogen kerk, lieve gemeenschap, betrokken koor
Roman Catholic church in den Haag. Attended the Sunday morning mass here and it was so good it refreshed my hostel choir days 😍😍 lovely choir, friendly people and priests who greet you after mass. I truly enjoyed the mass. 😊😊
Becoming a part of the parish here was one of the best things that ever happened to me. There is such a welcoming atmosphere with people of all ages, and so many things are done to help people in need (from providing food for the homeless to helping refugees adjust to their life here, along with a whole lot more). I’m beyond proud and so so happy to be a part of this community - this church is truly a place you can call home.

Beautiful Catholic Church! I wish it was open all the time to pray in front of the blessed Sacrament!🙏 The small chapel that is open has a beautiful image of our Lady.

Aardige broeders, fijne missen. Gastenhuis is van de basisvoorzieningen voorzien en prijs is meer dan prima.

Rust gevende plaats in de stad. Meerdere ratraites bezocht. Goed verbijf. Een aanrader
Het luiden van de kerkklok hoort ‘s-zondags erbij. Jammer dat men als andersgelovigen eraan stoort. Vindt men dat gejengel van minaretten dan ook storend, ga dan niet in de buurt wonen van de gebedshuizen.
Gelukkig is de toren blijven staan na de drie stormen op rij (torens gingen heen en weer )

Ik zie de toren vanaf mijn huis en toch was ik er nu voor de eerste keer,voor een concert.

Zeer gastvrij!
Een bijzonder plekje in Den Haag centrum. Voormalig klooster, lokale bierbrouwerij, winkeltje met bijzondere bieren, en prachtige kapel.
Prachtige kerk. Ze nemen corona regels erg serieus ( beste voor veiligheid van iedereen) Daarmee neemt kerk verantwoordelijkheid voor gezondheid van bezoekers. Top !

Het is een mooie kerk, het is jammer dat er geen rondleidingen werden gegeven tijdens corona. Het is een plaatje om daar even binnen te kijken

Een unieke gelegenheid een gebouw te zien dat eertijds een schuilkerk was, en thans een functionerende Oud-Katholieke gemeenschap herbergt.
Heerlijk vertoeven in de kapel. Rustgevend
In het centrum de drukte. Maar daarbinnen heerlijk stil. Even rustmoment om met je gedachten bij jezus te zijn . Meer mensen zijn daar om te bidden.

Klein winkeltje van het klooster met beperkte openingstijden. Leuk als je op zoek bent naar specifieke lokale producten. Mijn amerikaanse gasten hadden iets meer verwacht van dit bezoek aan een 'abdijbrouwerij'

Leuke kerk. Echt ouderwets katholiek nog. Nadeel is wel dat je zondag ochtend wel je jas aan moet houden omdat het zo koud binnen is.
What can I say, they have a great shop with excellent monastary brewed beer. It is worth the price

Mooie kleine kerk met een intieme sfeer. Vriendelijke uitnodigende ontvangst door de mensen die daar mensen rondleiden. Er is blijkbaar af en toe de mogelijkheid om naar een kapelletje ergens bovenin te gaan kijken. Ik heb van de gelegenheid gebruik gemaakt en symbolisch twee kaarsjes aangestoken.
Hier is de schuilkerk gevestigd van de Oud Katholieke kerk. Een onverwacht monument, verstopt in het oude centrum. Een onwaarschijnlijk mooi, groot en perfect onderhouden godshuis. In de zomermaanden geopend voor bezichtiging op de zaterdagmiddag.

This is the second parish I visited when I lived in the Netherlands. God I'm blessed to know Your will in my life. Guide and direct me in Your Light of Salvation. Because without You I have no life in me. Give the opportunity to visit Your parishes again in the Netherlands and other part of the world.
Very Beautiful church, very nice to hear mass at this church. They have the blessed sacrament and its a moment of receiving the graces of Christ in the Blessed Sacrament.
There is a latin mass on sundays at 10.15 am , very nice service there is an english and dutch translation, with the readings given in separate sheets in english and dutch.
The latin mass is one that has to be experienced in order to feel that special grace. The words used in the service are so full of praise and glory. Its very special.

respond to meiyi shi.... i'm not religious and i grew up in that neighbourhood and that church has been build in 1922 and it always has been ringing that bell. so the church was there before you lived there. why would you go live near a church if the churchbell would be a problem for you? and ofcourse they're not responding on your complaint, i wouldn't take it seriously either if i was them
Horrible church. Every Sunday it rings its bells for 20mins. Completely inconsiderate of people who live close to it who do not practice their religion. Not responsive to complaints.
Opportunity to go to Mass and to speak with a priest. Kind and welcoming atmosphere. Don´t forget to take a look in the Monastic Store. Hint: they sell excellent beer there!
