Macarthur's Mall. I remember when it was a bustling mall it's sort of like kind of quiet down quite a bit
Not a safe part of town. Definitely would not recommend going here without keeping your head on a swivel. Avoid at night. Beyond my own personal experiences, there are mobile camera systems with blue police lights and an announcement every few minutes that says you're being recorded.... Yeah .....
Now in the twilight of life, this mall is full of memories for us. Johnny Rockets is stuck open. We go often for a quiet burger. Oh and plenty of parking these days!
This is a well-designed complex with everything you could want in a classic American mall; variety, cleanliness, plenty of seating, cheap and plentiful parking, charging stations and other thoughtful touches... it even has an outdoor picnic table area. Attached to public transit and in a dense area, I can't think of why so many shops here have closed other than the general decline of the modern American shopping center due to online retail. My very rough estimate is that only about 40% of the original shops now remain.
I LOVEEEE this mall. I've made so many childhood memories here. The store selection could be better, but it's got great restaurants, an awesome movie theater AND A LUSH!!!!! Oh, and it looks AWESOME at Christmas time. Highly recommend this mall. It's HIGHLY underrated and deserves more love. PLEASE GO SUPPORT THIS MALL!!!
Went to El Rodeo Restaurant at Janaf Shopping Center and the experience could of been better! Personally, I ordered a combo with Enchilda,Taco and Chalupa and got got a messy plate with all 3 items looking the same (which makes me think they thought I couldn't tell the difference ...so they passed off 3 identical items off as what i ordered) Secondly, in our group of 4 we had starter chips with salsa and white sauce and the sauce portions were skimpy. The salsa was weak, bland and tasted like it was watered down. When, the server came by later we asked for more white sauce but he never brought it so I went up and flagged somebody down for more white sauce and that portion too was skimpy! The server never came back and asked us if we wanted refills on our drinks.
In fact, the server came by only once during our meal to ask us how we were doing and that was early on just shortly after we got our meal!
Overall, I rate the service a 2 out of 5! The portions , though, were decent size and reasonably priced...
However, next time give the customer what they ordered....( I should of told them to take it back and give me what I ordered!)
Personally, I have had far been service and meals at Plaza Azteca I will think of Plaza Azteca next time over this place if I desire a Mexican American meal!!!

This place has went downhill. Honestly didn't feel safe. And it was daytime.
Your cleaning staff that handles your lawn care blew dust and trash on my car yesterday while I was it. My head was down in my phone looking for directions and they didn't say a word. I heard the blowers turn on and my vehicle was covered in dust and pollen. I was strand there before and you company manager of the prop as well as the stores there kept calling the police on me and harassing me thinking I was prostituting. I had no money to tow my car at the time and every time I thought it was safe to leave they kept trying to have my car towed . You get no stars from me your horrible to people that be down on their luck , especially John at harbor freight and I have a membership there for our company... DO Better were the ones that make every store in this mall successful
Lot of places to shop and eat at! Great place for running errands and stopping to get a bite to eat after 10 out of 10! Would recommend
It's a beautiful mall but I'm surprised it's still open. There's not much there now. Restaurants have closed and a lot of the shops are no longer retail but just people renting spaces. I needed shoes for work and couldn't find ANY to even try on. Surprisingly, Patrick Henry has more.
Shop Bath & Body Works is the best place to buy fragrance, gifts, body & bath products👍
Did you know that Janaf now has a Burlington? I was surprised. They opened 3 weeks ago. I enjoyed shopping there with my mother. The store was nice, the prices were great, and the checkout line was short. Go check them out, or should I have kept this my little secret? Anyway, go now!
Go to the shopping center frequently has a Harris Teeter Dollar General a few restaurants directly across the street from the beach ample parking

Nice store, pretty big, and in a nice shopping center, lots of other stores and restaurants nearby.
I went to Panera Bread, and every store has its own entrance, so it's hard to get confused. Great variety of stores, a post office, library, and good parking.

This shopping center is the only shopping center at the tail end of Ocean view before Willoughby . Harris teeters is a small one but yes it has a Starbucks . There are a few places to eat though depending on what you're looking for but a lil bit of everything also taco bell KFC open late.
My son and I took the grandchildren to the playground and played for a couple of hours. Everything was so nice and clean. The other children were very respectful, and the kids that played together played very very well.
The Cool stuff is Awesome. I love video games. They have great customer service, lots to choose from and they always have a smile on their face, a warm greeting and lots of great game advice.

I go here to return my UPS Amazon packages. Although sometimes the parking is limited I'm able to locate in dispense of my UPS Amazon packages easily and efficiently. Good to know there is one nearby.
Has plenty convenient place to shop...ABC store/ tobacco shop/ Harris teeter for groceries/ dollar general and more also located across from beach just in case in the summer time you need anything!
Love this mall. They have plenty of shops in and around this complex including Walmart.

Went to the Dunkin donuts at 7 pm and they had the donuts I wanted. The chocolate icing was perfectly done, not messy. The two gentlemen at the counter were very helpful and pleasant. Thank you!
I purchased some Baked Chicken from Harris Teeter on 179 West Ocean View in Norfolk and the Chicken print label that was on it say it was cooked 1330 and it taste like it needed to be season very very very super bad plus it was hard. This Chicken must be a day to 2 days old. I won't buy any Chicken here again and I will be traveling the extra distance to Granby Harris Teeter for good fresh Chicken. $7.99 wasted on Ocean View Harris Teeter nasty hard unseasoned Baked Chicken. If there is a manager on site that know how to season Chicken please teach the cook you have cooking Chicken at 1:30PM on 03-24-2024 please please and a super thank you. I will give a 0 star if I could.
I frequent the Starbucks in this store on every visit to Norfolk as it is near the Navy base and is usually not supercrowded for that morning cup o' coffee
My daughter and I went to have color and cut. The girls are amazing and so nice in there. I finally found a hair place after 8 years of being here

Most stores have what's needed. Only store I do not care for is Dollar General, store often has empty shelves for everyday items very cluttered and messy
Prices are a bit high but they have a produce rack that they have mark downs on that I love to check out. Some of the sales are really good. Staff is usually friendly.

Love the location. It is always clean and has a huge verity of businesses. It is limited on parking (and the exiting walmart traffic doesn't help). Regardless, I really like it.
Great marketplace with lots of options. There are a decent amount of homeless persons though that will try to interact with you, just be careful with your belongings.
I Love shopping at Save a Lot. I get great better deals.
Only a dollar tree, golden city no.2 Chinese takeout, and a bar in the center. The dollar tree is clean with a good selection. Great Chinese food. The bar is clean and quiet but the interior is dated as in the 70s wood panel.
Parking lot needs a touch up there's never enough spaces
There are major potholes in this parking lot that can destroy your tires, rims, and suspension!! It's been that way for many years too. Please fix this!!
I'd rather not comment. However, it is a rundown strip mall. You get harrased in the parking lot endlessly by people hopped up on whatever. The nearby bus stop is nothing short of appalling. There is one decent restaurant (Chinese food) the rest are fast-food joints. The employees at what has to be probably the worst Harris Teeter I've ever been to are rude and eyeball you as soon as you walk in. The summer season had an endless stream of cops and incidents.

This is a clean but dying mall. The reason I gave them 5 stars is because of their epic Schindler elevators. Also as you can see they have a very clean toilet.
Everything you need in 1 shopping center.. Very reasonable prices. My favorites include Area 51 (the staff is very knowledgeable and over the top friendly), I always enjoy an afternoon at Kool Bins and for a never disappointing meal, appetizer or cocktail make sure you stop by Azalea Inn and Sports Bar!!
Worst tesla sc station in Hampton Roads. Everywhere is dirty. Even not make you feel safe.
I like the shopping center. Especially because azalea gardens and is located and it has wonderful food there is a Dunkin' donuts, a pawn shop, and the bank. And it's close to lots of other things. Plenty of parking easy to get to
Too many Shady people hanging in the parking lot. Especially bad as it gets later in the day. I would like to stop being asked for money as I'm getting in my car. I feel unsafe here due to the parking lot. Groceries in this store are too expensive . That's why I don't come here often. I only stop here once in a while because it's close to where I live and may need an emergency item that I ran out of. Prices need to go down before I start shopping here on a regular basis. Also run the Shady people off. Thank you.
Oh my God. It's Sav-A-Lot but not a good price point on eggs. Not know for much of the best brand names but more for generic brand. Why were eggs 6 & 7 dollars. Food Lion and Walmart are much better places to food shop. Too pricey for the type of store it is.
I love Applebee's. It was packed for Veterans day. The Applebee's team handled 👌🏾 it wonderfully. The bar tender had to tend bar and make sure that people, like me, who weren't having alcohol were served food and all the particulars were taken care of, condiments, sodas,etc. were taken care of. He was awesome, professional, genuinely courteous all around a great guy. They get an "A" for that day for sure.
Well first of all this is labeled MacArthur Mall elevators. Ironically, the only time riding in the elevator it took me down to the first floor, didn't even open the door or go down on the way before it slowly returned it to the second floor. People got on and I tried pushing the first floor again and it did not move. I found them button to the second floor a little sticky. Maybe that was the issue
Incredible selection of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd floors. Door close button is crisp, with a smooth finish. And legend has it, if you push the right combination of buttons, you can access the super secret basement. It's like Willy Wonka's candy room! Definitely Recommend
Great boutique that offers a lot of unique items. I discovered this place when it was located in perimeter mall. The owner was there and was super sweet. She has a lot of clothing and jewelry that isn't cookie cutter. I ultimately left with a pair of gold studded paper clip earrings that were really affordable. The ower also offers personal styling. I would definitely go back or reach out to the owner if I needed to be styled.
Rose was so professional! I knew I was safe in the location and it felt very intimate as she consulted me to find out my personal needs. My lashes turned out amazing and look so natural. The process was super relaxing and therapeutic. I honestly cant wait for my fill in appt in 2 weeks.
This place is so wonderful ! The owner is super awesome and everything she has is so beautiful ... whatever you get will make you feel like a million bucks! The style are classy and elegant yet up to date! You can find things to use everyday and find unique statement pieces!

I still shop with Rose and I live in Virginia and her store is in Georgia. Thank you so much for your excellent customer service and keeping me up with the latest fashions!!!
Oh my goodness!!! I love everything about this store from the wonderful clothes to the amazing woman in charge. Every time you go there you will be welcomed like you are part of the family. I would suggest every one to shop here and meet the owner if you can, if you want to make a statement with fashion and be different and unique this is the place to go!!!
