The Journey Church NYC is a church that really cares about people. They are always doing outreaches in the City and give biblical teaching to help connect people with Jesus.
I have been with the Journey since 2017. It is a very good church.
Now I've had the time of my life. You know I never felt this way before I swear it's a true I owe it all to Journey Church for teaching God’s word in a way I can grasp and grow. I thrive on structure and the lesson notes are a real God send in applying it to my everyday life. Not to mention the worship team and the hospitality of the Journey staff that welcome me w/open arms warmly each time I attend. As a Pastor once told me “There are no perfect Churches and if you find one don't go because you're going to make it imperfect”. With that said I kept that in mind as I sought one that would be perfect for me, and Journey fits the bill on every level. I kept seeking and glad God answered my prayer as I finally found. Praise God!:-)
Love this Casual Contemporary Non denominational Church!! Pastor Kerrick is a God given Shepherd that's takes time to pray with and encourage his members!

Every time that I attend I am so moved by the powerful message of inclusiveness and hope for all people, the warmness and love of the members, and the remarkable diversity among everyone involved with The River. The sermons are smart, practical, and especially relevant for today’s NYC, and the choir is truly spectacular. This church is outstanding and on a mission to love and love and love.

The members of this church are welcoming and genuine. I had never been more welcomed as a first time visitor than my first time at the River. The lessons are easily accessible and I appreciate that the pastoral staff is available to discuss complex ideas. The River is an all-inclusive and non-judgmental space for people to learn about and grow in Christ together.
The River is a very warm and welcoming place. I hadn’t been to church in a long time… I was always thinking about it, but I was never quite sure. A friend invited me to The River, and I’m glad I came. From the very beginning, I felt welcomed and included. The music is very uplifting, and the sermons are thoughtful and in-depth.
I have been attending the River with my family for over 15 years. This church is for any person looking to grow in their relationship with God, while also being in a welcoming community that centers itself around loving others. Through the years I’ve learned that nothing is more important than spreading God’s love, and this church does that in such an amazing way!
Our family has attended this wonderful church for several years. I've made deeply meaningful friendships here who have helped & cared for me in the ups and downs of life. The community and talks are always nourishing and thought provoking; I often come away with, "I never thought of it that way, or "I never heard of XYZ explained like that", etc. The atmosphere is relaxed, warm and welcoming and I truly miss it when I'm out of town.
Have been going to this place for about 6 months consistently now and it has been a very big part of my journey in feeling spiritually healed after the pandemic. I highly recommend this church to people who have been in the church and have a lot of questions about issues like LGBTQ rights, abortion, and theology but feel like they can’t explore them or get them answered in church. This is such an open and inviting place for you to bring your questions about God. The River was how I felt I could keep following Jesus but still find somewhere that will hold space for the way I was growing and hurting as a person.
This is a wonderful, spirit filled church. Pastor Kerrick and the team are wonderful. When you can email the pastor and you get and email right back alone blew me away. You are not just a number here but are cared for. They want you to come in authentically and help you grow spiritually to be all God has created for you to be.
This church is seriously amazing... They welcome you no matter what age & nationality, and is extremely diverse. Every Sunday, the pastors' testimonies feel extremely heartfelt and exactly just what I need to feel closer to god. They also do baptisms here every month, which I participated in, and it was a beautiful ceremony. There are also highly active in the nyc community and do alot of good missonary & volunteer work all over! This church will literally change your life!
People are nice and welcoming. Definitely something to check out when trying to find a local Asian community.

The River is a great church filled with friendly people and positive uplifting spirituality. Every time I go the I meet friendly people and the sermons are informative and thought provoking. The staff are always there for you to answer any questions and even pray for you.
The community is open and affirming so all are welcome here in the presence of God. There is time to socialize after service and mingle with people over lunch. The diversity here is incredible. I highly recommend this church!

This is my church. I am so godly proud to say that. I have learned here, heard the truth about God’s love and his plan for the world here, I’ve changed here... and I’ve healed here. Love has been the “most excellent way" here. (1 Corinthians 12:31) - We'd LOVE to have you visit and worship with us!!

Great church with a community dedicated to god
Small Asian American church, with members primarily in their 20s, 30s and 40s. Strong emphasis on Bible study "growth groups".
I’ve been a part of this church community for over 5 years, and they became my family for someone who had no immediate family in the area. The people are warm and hospitable (with yummy food and drinks always ready in the lobby before service!), the community is diverse (from Scotland to the Philippines to Cameroon, just to name a few countries represented!), and the weekly worship and sermon is what I can describe as strong, moving, relevant, and impactful. The church also provides so many other opportunities to learn more about Christian faith (weekly small groups and seminars), and also is a very social church so you feel a part of a community with others, and don’t feel alone in it, whether it’s grabbing dinner after service or catching up over coffee with a friend. Thankful for this church and so of course, would highly recommend!
Not gonna hide the fact that I'm bias, but even so, I truly love this service and wanna share.

Plus, It's been a while since being in a service with pews and I kind'a like it. The modern touches added to the old school church building strike a nice balance that adds to the homie-ness instead of distracting from it.

Casual setting, the preaching was great but leaned more on the evangelistic side- definitely a great church for a new believer or to bring a non-believer. I didn't see anything in their bulletin about opportunities for a more in-depth bible study or other weekday services- without which I may not stay much longer. But still a great church and worth visiting. UPDATE: the Journey Church has small groups (for married, singles, youth and so on). Worth staying!
I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Every Nation NYC! This church has always been welcoming and friendly. They took the time to get to know me and they've worked to serve me. I'm glad I've found Every Nation NYC. Anytime I'm in NY, this is where I'll be going.
Every Nation NYC has been my home church for the past 4 years! It has changed my life and really helped me draw closer to God! The people there are amazing and real genuine and there just isn't a better place to worship God than ENNYC! This place will always be in my heart no matter where I'm at!❤️

It's a great place to build community, friends and family, while getting to know who Jesus is at your own pace. Anyone can come just as there are without feeling judged or out of place. If you are looking for a place to find hope, belonging, and faith this is the place to be!
Every Nation New York City is an amazing church. Going there, I found friends, community and people I could really live life with. It was an amazing experience and is definitely a church worth checking out if you visit New York City or have just recently moved. The people there really care about you and will help you with your life, which sometimes can get crazy especially if you live in New York City. They also have plenty of events for singles, married couples, and colleges students as well as missions opportunities all over the world. The staff there will make the time for you. It's a great place of belonging and I can't imagine my life in New York City without this church! Whether you feel overwhelmed by your problems, need to find a church, need to find out who you are, or just want to try something different, you'll find it at this church.
