I just moved to the area and have been on the church hunt. Maybe I've just gone to too many mega churches with that commercial feel, you know how some churches just try too hard, no offense because hey, different strokes for different folks, right? Well, this church to me, just has that It Factor. If you're looking for a real gem with unique music, a thought provoking sermon and where you can get involved in the community, this is it. Also Phil the greeter is the sweetest guy ever !

This place is warm and welcoming. Great children’s program with an outdoor play area. Above all else, they love Jesus, follow the holy spirt and encourage others to do the same. Both spirit and truth.

Epicentre West LA has an incredibly devoted and inviting group of Christ followers. My wife and I started going to this church upon moving to West LA. We could not be happier with our decision. This church has brought us closer to God and provided us with a community of believers that help us feel like we're a part of something greater. There are no stuffy traditions or hypocrisy at this church. We are invited to come as we are and to love one another as Christ has loved us. Hope to see you here!
Good afternoon. A family of three needs help! We ask for help with the u4u program. We are in Ukraine in a war zone and need help! We ask those who care to help a family with a child.
Very friendly and open church. The pastor is just an incredible guy and light in this world. Would recommend this church to anyone in the LA area. If you grew up in a fundi household and are trying to set things straight in your own beliefs I’d highly recommend this church as a safe space.

This church has been here since I’ve lived in Mar Vista for over 30 years. They have kindly allowed Steve with Petramale Pizza to have a pop-up of the world’s best pizza every FRIDAY. This is the best best best pizza! This is from me studying abroad in Italy and traveling around the world. There’s nothing like it! Please support your local community and try some of his pizza on Fridays.

If you are like so many other people in the Venice area, either your church attendance and relationship with God has slowed over the past couple years, or you have wondered about this Higher Power and are curious to understand Christianity better.

If you are either curious or wanting to simply get back to church, Venice Church is the place.

Amazing pastor and staff that is personable, caring and approachable. (I got coffee with two people from Venice Church in the first two weeks I went)

Amazing music and worship. The band is so good, and the three sermons that I have been to personally resonated with me.

Diverse congregation. Black, White, Brown, Young, Old, Single, Married. I feel like it’s a real community, like it represents LA.

What are you waiting for? Just come once. First step is the most important.

I have been a member of the Eastlake community for several years. I recently moved to Long Beach from San Diego and could not find a place where I belonged. I remembered that Eastlake had a church in Venice. I walked in and knew I was home. The people are warm and welcoming.
There’s always something going on at the church or in the community if you are hungry for a way to serve and give back.

Rooted in faith and the Bible, the messages are powerful and relevant to where we are today. The worship team gets us going and then Pastor Mark makes us laugh, cry, look up, and look deep to help us find ourselves and our path.

It’s a New Year. If you found yourself in need of something during the holidays and you can’t put your finger on it, maybe stop by and give us a visit. Maybe Venice Church can help you find what you need

It’s worth a visit! We take faith seriously, but we have a lot of fun doing it.

I'd like to take a moment to thank the community and leaders of Epicentre West LA for loving me and my family well as we transitioned from leading this church in 2019. We were able to recharge, establish healthy family rhythms, and prepare for our next season. It's been a privilege to serve and lead this church. My transition out, as well as Pastor Chris's transition in, was simply answered prayer; no scandal, no conflict, only the work of God. These stories are rare these days, but I am genuine friends with Pastor Chris and the rest of the church staff and leadership. Love this church and believing the best for you, family.
This has been my church since 2015. I felt welcome right away and had so many people engage with me and care about me. I love how this church has grown and how it encourages its member to truly dive into their community and love this city.

Love this church! And so do my kids! It takes a lot for my kids to like a church since they are very comfortable with our current one in Chino Hills, Inland Hills Church. I was looking for a church In Venice where my daughter lives with her father. This one feels a little similar to the current one we attend. First time we went, it was so nice and laidback. Everybody was friendly and greeted us at the door with all smiles. I knew it was the right church because it felt like ours. My little one liked her classroom, no complaints. The Pastor was lively and full of energy. I really enjoyed the Mother’s Day message today and especially the last song where he recognized all the moms. Plus, I received a Rose and the end of service. They even had my little one Make a picture frame with her picture in it to give to me for Mother’s Day, it was really touching. I will continue to visit this church while I visit my older daughter. Every service has a great message. Don’t let One bad review Keep you from visiting, you have to visit yourself.

I visited Grace City LA and it was a blessing. Pastor Steve Cha is a faithful preacher of Gods Word. The worship service focuses on exalting and glorifying God based on Truth. If you are looking for a church that is faithful to worshipping God in accordance to His Word, then this is a great church. Grace City also strongly focuses on evangelism in Sharing the Gospel. It was a blessing hearing about their evangelism to the community.

Visited for the first time this morning. Epicenter West LA church seems to be a younger generation, 20s and 30s very popular. Here’s a little information about my visit.

Parking: Street— I arrived a few minutes late and was still able to find parking along the street. This church meets at a synagogue across the street from Trader Joe’s. They have a small sign out front which is the only indicator that Epicentre meets there.

Welcoming: from the moment I walked up the stairs, I was greeted by Lauren and Kenter. They were both super welcoming and super sweet. They seemed so happy to be greeting visitors and regular comers alike. We exchanged words for a few minutes and they gave me a name tag. Most people wear a name tag at the church. If you leave your visitor badge with your name as you exit, they will make you a permanent badge for when you return. The badges are all placed on a large board at the entrance of the church so you do not forget it from Sunday to Sunday. Kinda cool concept and very helpful to remember people’s names.

Worship: Lights were dimmed and the worship team with about five members did a great job with the music. I really enjoyed the songs and still have one that I’ve never heard stuck in my head. A few people lifted hands but does not seem to be the norm. Pretty small congregation but I understand there are a lot of people out sick this week so they say they may be missing about 30 or 40 people.

Sermon: The message was brought by a young pastor name Steve. It was very short, probably about 15 minutes or less. Apparently the pastor and his whole family are out ill with the flu this week. We went back into worship and sang a few of the same songs we sang through the worship time. Between worship and the sermon, a young man came up and gave the announcements and provided information about the church as well as the Epicenter app they use to transmit information throughout the congregation.

Snack and chat: They had a very cool concept and which I’ve never seen in a church. They provided snacks and encouraged people to hang around to visit and socialize. Lauren and Kenter came after service and brought me a little gift for visitors and we chatted again for a bit during snack and chat. Very sweet couple. I met the girl sitting behind me her name was, Shina.

Life Groups: I went to visit the wall which has the connect groups locations and was greeted by a young doctor from UCLA carrying a baby. (Again, so friendly!) He explained the various groups. There did not seem to be one for my age group really (40s/single) but there seem to be plenty of groups for the younger generation and one even for married people.

This was a friendly church, probably one of the friendliest churches I have ever attended. I would highly recommend it for the younger generation although it doesn’t feel like there’s much of a group my age. Seems to be multicultural although the largest population seems to be Asian. I would absolutely recommend this church to someone looking around for a home. Everyone was so friendly which makes it much easier to connect.

I heard a wonderful message from Pastor Steve who was kind and very patient with my questions. I appreciate biblical and expository preaching, and thought it was amazing that Grace City LA does street evangelism open-air preaching as a church after each service. They are committed to the Great Commission of proclaiming the GOSPEL to the lost. I felt joy from Holy Spirit during worship so praise God for this new church!

New believers, nonbelievers, strong believers, everyone is welcomed with open arms and I just couldn't even fathom the warm welcoming that Grace City LA showed to their members. Having a very qualified Pastor(Steve Cha), a community where everyone has a voice, and where people could dig deeper into the Bible and their relationship with God in a safe environment is all that someone could ask for! It was and will be a great experience for future members and newcomers! EVERYONE IS WELCOME!
Love this church! The moment my girlfriend and I arrived we felt welcomed. Afterwards we looked at each other and said that this church immediately felt like home. People are so passionate in worship, and preaching is super applicable and down to earth. Also, there's food after! They really focus on community and life groups so we'll be checking that out for sure.

This church teaches a true a gospel and a place I recommend if you're in this area or around the City of Los Angeles. Steve is an intelligent and faithful preacher of God's Word. He has a great background in theology, received a degree from a reputable seminary and loves to reach out to people about how to know Christ Jesus. You will learn how to understand the Bible and how to apply it to your own life in these "last days" we live in. Learn how to define a church, what makes up a cult and how to read Scripture.

Grace City LA is the place to go if you're looking for a church to get plugged into. Although it is fairly new, they have a solid community and the bible teachings are focused strictly on the Bible. The community is very welcoming and there are many opportunities for anyone to serve!

If you want to know the truth of God's Word, this is the place to be. The pastor, Steve Cha is an excellent expositor of the Bible. You will grow in your relationship with the Lord and be a brighter light for Christ. The church loves evangelism! I really enjoyed the service and the donuts! If you live in the downtown area of Los Angeles, then Grace City LA is for you!

If you are looking to get plugged into a new and growing church and are seeking solid scripture-based teaching, I HIGHLY recommend that you check out Grace City LA. I've been a regular attendee of Grace City LA's weekly bible studies for the past three months, and it still surprises me to see how much I've learned and grown as a believer in this short period of time. There's a clarity and boldness in the presentation of the Gospel here that I've never really experienced elsewhere, and it makes a marked difference. It's truly remarkable.

Also, since Grace City LA is a new church, there's plenty of room for you to get involved and serve the growing ministry. Everyone is incredibly welcoming and down-to-earth, and their excitement and enthusiasm for the new ministry is really contagious and refreshing to see.

Lastly, the church is located at the western edge of downtown LA, which has recently been undergoing a lot of development and change, so I see a huge opportunity for Grace City LA to really make an impact on the immediate community--both the long-time residents and the newly arriving folks. There's a big passion on the part of the leadership team for local outreach and evangelism, so I'm really excited to see the transformation that Grace City LA will bring in the future.

If you are looking for an excellent Church in Downtown Los Angeles, Grace City LA is your answer. Pastor Steve Cha preaches expositionally (line by line through the Bible). And Steve has a schedule covering Acts for the next 6 months, so you can prepare ahead for his sermon too. Steve's sermon yesterday was exceptional in its content and delivery. You will be uplifted and pleased. The Worship Team was really good, and got your focus on Christ. They also had good fellowship time in the courtyard, before heading out for street and door-to-door evangelism. Try it, and you will not only be blessed, but you will love serving our Lord in this way ! It is sooo hard to find a good church in America today ~ And Grace City LA Church is not only a good church but a GREAT church experience. Come out, don't be shy... you will feel like family by the end of the Service.

Not your regular church experience. Very modernized with multimedia and band music. When I arrived, I was thinking this was going to be Baptist style, which it had a small hint of. I was thinking of leaving but stayed and was glad I did. The pastor brought me to tears multiple times. I'll definitely be back. That being said understand this is not a typical church...no readings and no Eucharist. Very informal format.
I truly feel comfortable in saying that New City is a church after God's own heart. The pastor teaches "grace filled" messages in an easy to understand & sound biblical context. He doesn't force the truth down any listener's throat, but oppositely teaches the truth clearly in love and in a gentle & humble spirit.

As a visitor, no matter what walk of life you come from, there is a great chance that you will feel very welcomed & embraced when walking in, throughout the message & in your departure. I have gone to church all my life & have lived in various places within the US. With respect to this, I have never experienced such racial & socioeconomical diversity in a church body. I'm confident that when we make it to heaven, it will mirror the diversity that New City allows us to be a part of on Sunday mornings. My wife & I make the lengthy commute from downtown Long Beach to New City in downtown LA because we are truly able to grow in a wholistic manner as a part of this church body.
I've been going to New City for almost a year now and LOVE IT! It is the most racially diverse and economically diverse church I have been to. The first time I went I was immediately noticed and welcomed warmly...It's not like other churches where you walk in and no one talks to you except for a good morning from the person handing you the bulletin. I was not only greeted but welcomed immediately. From the very first day, I loved Kevin's message of grace. He captures the heart of the Bible; God's heart for people. He doesn't bog down his messages with rules and regulations and religiosity, but teaches from the Bible, God's love, truth and all consuming grace. When I hear one of Kevin's messages I learn more about the historical time period each verse is coming from and I learn more and more about the heart of God. Not only does it help me in my walk today, but also teaches me more about the origins of the Bible. Not may pastors can do both as Kevin does. Jonathan, the associate pastor, is also a wonderful speaker and is an exceptional leader in the church. Being apart of a grow and serve group is what really cemented my connection and love for the church. That's where I created and foster lasting friendships with people that have become like family to me. We get deep in the word and in each others lives and it's powerful. All groups also have a serve portion where we reach out, volunteer and serve our community. New City has forever changed my life and I feel incredibly blessed to be apart of such an incredible, loving, open, innovative, diverse, cutting edge, non religious, Bible based, community centered, church!
My husband and I have been attending New City Church for about six years ever since it was in the beginning days. As a bi-racial woman I appreciated the diversity of ethnicity and socioeconomic, but more important than that the gospel is presented in sermon, action and presence. New City has offered me community in a way that I have never experienced and I have seen this church go from 20 people to about 400. I told my husband when it reached 100 I would be ready to leave. Ok. I'm still there and not planning to leave anytime soon.

No church will offer you 100% satisfaction, but New City offers sermons based on the Word, the gospel upheld and a dose of reality to bring you to your knees. This is my home.
This is my home church and I have been going there since it started in 2008. I'm currently an intern at the church. I'm not sure who Justin Craft is but his description contains many factual errors. He seems to know a lot about our church having attended only twice.

We have two services 9AM & 11AM and our membership is at about 500-600. Our church is one of those most diverse churches in Los Angeles both in terms of race/ethnicity and class. Whites, blacks, Latinos, Asian Americans, and people of mixed heritage are all well represented at New City.

Pastor Kevin & the rest of our staff preach out of both the New and Old Testament with Gospel-centered preaching and my guess is that Justin came when we were in a series entitled, "The Gospel According to the Old Testament."

Our church's motto is "we are more messed up than we know and more loved than we can ever imagine." We welcome all people from every color and creed to come as you are. God bless!

I've been a part of a church my whole life and many different ones as my wife and I have moved around the US and lived in various countries. That said, we've been attending Epicentre West LA for a while now and can say that we feel really welcome here. The community is still small (church just started in February) but very welcoming. The pastor gives challenging sermons, grounded in Scripture, and always makes sure to make it relevant to life. We don't have kids, but know there's an excellent children's program. I also like that they're focused on meeting in "Lifegroups" during the week and have enjoyed being part of one of them. This is a great place to grow in your faith.
