A wonderful experience at a Women's prayer retreat. I loved our the Senior ladies welcomed everyone. They looked so pretty.

Temple of Praise is the best Church I've attended Bishop Staples is a great Bishop I understand the word when he preaches. Never attended a Church where the Bishop or Pastor spoke about their trials and tribulations of what they have been through and were brought of so I think you Bishop for sharing your story because no one is perfect and that even includes our Bishop’s or our Pastor’s. You just never know what someone has been through so treat everyone with Respect and look out for our Children.
I attended while on vacation. The people were so very friendly and the service was beyond my expectation. If ever in DC again I will definitely visit again.
Extremely welcoming and loving community. The sermons are delivered very intentionally and spirit filled. I love the multicultural church.
Beautiful facility, wonderful staff and message
I'm a Church member but I'm getting old. It's a great church for young folks. Holy Spirit Party. Alot of funds spent to help people worldwide and here in DC. Pastors are good transparent God led Stewards. Bible based, not Joel Osteen prosperity preaching. Prepare for spiritual self evaluation.

Visited DC for a week and wanted to go to church and we found the Waterfront Church. Great Church, Great Pastor, Great Band, and wonderful community of people to worship God with! Loved it! Thanks for the message Pastor Zach!

Really neat facility, the repurposing of this historic building was well preserved with all the upgrades for this place of worship.
A church that is practicing what it preaches.
This place is a den of iniquity. The "leadership" is focused on everything but Christ. I was a member for eight years and I watched this church change from a Bible believing, teaching, and living church, to an apostate assembly and den of iniquity. I witnessed a remarkable change when Mr. Glen Staples (their bishop) got linked up with TD Jakes by paying a huge sum of money, which Mr. Staples admitted to at a Wednesday night Bible study...( I can elaborate more on this piece, but I will leave it there).
What's worse is that this is, in fact, a Word of Faith church. If you don't know what that is, please research it. I will suffice to say that it IS a heresy, filled with new age mystical beliefs and practices that are whitewashed in "christanese" overtons... Also, this church is an inter-faith, i.e. ecumenical, organization...
The fact that Mr. Staples has positioned his children in key places to take over the "cash cow" when he retires, should tell those with discernment something... WALTER LAMAR STAPLES IS NOT QUALIFIED (by biblical standards) TO PASTOR OF A CHURCH.
Disclaimer-- I don't suffer from "church hurt" nor am I "crazy" or jilted. The Lord removed me from this place after opening my eyes to the deception and DEMONIC activities that goes on behind the scenes... Mr. Staples will have to answer for a lot when he stands before God because he refuses to repent-- TRULY REPENT. There is sooooo much (facts) I can say, but I've made my point...

Bishop Staples is a powerful preacher and teacher. He is anointed. He sees in the spirit and he prophesies. He doesn't say that he is going to prophesy, prophesy just comes forth. Although one time many years ago, he said that the Lord was ministering to him about someone who was going to write books, plays and movies at Tyler Perry level. I wish that I had space to tell it. Just know that God was speaking through his mouth to me. To God be the Glory! Greatness is coming to pass. It shall happen! I am so grateful for the Temple of Praise!! Many lives have been turned around through the ministry of Bishop Staples.
Attended an Ordination, one of the warmest days of the year and the Church had an Air conditioning outage. They had rented portable AC units that as the attendance swelled so did the temperature during the four hour Elevation. It has a great Clergy and friendly Staff. The attendees of this event were mainly other Clergy from various churches. I've seen the Church regular Sunday Services on the web and they have energetic and dynamic Services. Bishop Staples has a great Service consistently bringing God's word each week.

Love this Navy Yard fellowship and the great Bible teaching of Texas-born pastor Zack. The quality contemporary-style music and talented musicians bring the joy of praise to life.
TDC is a welcoming, kind, and thoughtful community. It genuinely cares about serving the city and is incredibly mission and justice oriented. The congregation is very diverse and welcomes all backgrounds. I didn’t grow up in the church and I often feel out of place in those spaces, but I have felt seen and accepted at TDC. Can’t say enough great things!!!
We get the privilege to visit this place a few times a year when seeing family in DC. Pastor Dan is such a wonderful, welcoming and caring man. We've always felt welcomed here.

I cannot speak to the quality of services here, I can only speak to the lack of regard for the church's literal neighbors. This church's neighbors experience hours a week of drum noise that frequently exceed the decibel limit, run later than the church claims, and are disruptive to those trying to work, study, or enjoy their homes. Unfortunately, rather than treat our concerns with any seriousness, we receive condescending and dishonest responses.
I love this church! The people are friendly and welcoming. My kids enjoy the children's church with Ms. Lauren and the youth/teen pastor, TJ, is very engaging. Every Sunday i walk away feeling uplifted and settled.
If you want to be encouraged on a consistent basis, this is the place for you. Pastor Zack and his staff will help you feel right at home. If you have children, the kids' camp will give you peace of mind while you focus on the worship service. Highly recommended!
This is a wonderful praising church family. Im very proud to be a member. It changed my life and my family for the better. Blessings on top of blessings, encouragement and knowledge. Bishop and Pastor Staples are very anointed men of God. They lead, teach, preach the Word of God in truth, honesty and clear understanding. They are making a huge positive impact on the community and world ! May God continue to use his servants. Watch over, protect, strengthen and guide and heal everyone. ♥️♥️♥️ came here in 2019 as I found difficulty in finding charismatic church near MD area. The sunday service was good. I will always remember this church and hope one day I can come back. This church introduced me with Hillsong - So Will I, which turns out as my favorite Christian Song. Thank you so much for the experience and God bless you!
My wife and I have been attending RHC for over 5 years and are so grateful for the family we've found here. As a church, we gather together every Sunday to hear the gospel preached and worship God through music and fellowship. We also get together in each others' homes throughout the week in smaller groups ("Community Groups"), which allows for deeper connections and conversations than typically come in larger groups. I can attest that the pastors and staff members love and care well for the church body, and they also love this city. If you are at all interested in checking out a church in DC, please come!

Never experienced Christ-like community like this before. Knew zero people when I moved to DC, instantly welcomed by Bill, met my wife here, got married here, started a family here. Leadership mentored me, provided marital counsel, married us, and still an integral part of our lives. 7+ years later and beyond grateful this church welcomed me in.
RHC is an incredible church - dynamic worship, real and honest small groups, insightful Bible teaching, and vulnerable and honest leadership. These guys love Jesus and they love DC. I've only visited the church gathering when I'm in DC, but I've had numerous friends attending as their home church and I can attest to their growth in the knowledge of the Bible and their joy in their faith. If you are in DC and are looking for a church dynamically rooted in the community and focused on their hope in Christ - check it out!

Beautiful Church
My wife and I are glad we attended one of the worship services at Waterfront Church this Sunday! It was a good decision for us to go there for church while visiting our family who live nearby. The service was uplifting and the preaching was Christ-centered, meaningful and encouraging. Pastor Zack has a gift of making God's Word personal and relevant. The church "sanctuary" is very comfortable and everyone is just as friendly. We think you will be blessed as we were if you decide to attend Waterfront Church. We look forward to coming back the next time we are in town.

My husband and I have been attending RHC for 3.5 years. At first I was hesitant to engage and commit to RHC because of past church hurts. My former church made me feel unheard and therefore not valued because of the views it held in regards to women. Not only did RHC welcome me in, but extended to me extra care because of my past church experience. The emphasis placed on community, vulnerability, sound doctrine, and most importantly grace enabled me to not only enter into a process of healing, but also gave me the courage to extend grace to my former church. I feel heard and deeply valued by this church. RHC is a family of imperfect people who desire to walk alongside each other in seasons of suffering, in seasons of celebration, and all the seasons in between.
I have attended Redemption Hill Church for the last three years and found an amazing community built on sound, gospel-centered teaching. I am challenged every week by the sermons and enjoyed digging deeper in the community groups.
NWCC offers preaching that is practical and kind, solid worship, sincere and friendly members. People welcome you right away and there are plenty of opportunities to plug in and serve. Highly recommend, especially for those looking for a congregation that is diverse in age and race.
We love the church's vision to be salt and light in the nation's capital as well ad the diversity of the congregation. The small-group based church is committed to sound preaching together with actice engagement with the community, including by working with other churches and the local government to address challenges such as foster care and adoptions as well as affordable housing. We've been worshipping there for almost three years and have been thoroughly blessed.
I have been at different services, events during the years and have ALWAYS had a WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE/Time there with the members of MACEDONIA. Look past the weathered veneer: this church has a beautiful core. Many local and international nonprofit leaders attend here, people are deeply invested in each other's lives and in their community. Members put their money where their mouth is and give tons of money to local charities, and many of them have fostered or adopted children. Athough the pastors here hold to traditional biblical views, they're also some of the kindest, most spiritually attuned, and least judgmental people you'll ever meet. Our marriage and family has greatly benefited from the congregants who lead the men's, women's and children's ministries in particular.
This is a multicultural church that is warm and welcoming of all. What a wonderful family!
A small personal church that is very welcoming. You will definitely feel God's presence here. In addition, the church participates in many community programs, and tries to be community focused as much as possible. But, nonetheless even if you don't live the neighborhood you are still treated as family and welcomed with open arms. The church also has weekly community groups which are a great time to meet new people and grow deeper in your faith together.
I wanted to go a couple times to get a feel of the church for myself. I really enjoy it and after being a few times, I'm going to continue going. I grew up Pentecostal so I know boisterous exuberant, exciting churches but I've never been to a church that does praise break or a church that has security guards around the pastor. I understand why now because this church literally, I mean literally excepts everybody. Whether you're homeless or struggling currently with addiction, they welcome you with open arms but sometimes someone who maybe has a mental illness or is high tries to come up on the stage so those security guards end the disruption quickly. The noon service on Sundays is my favorite, I feel like it's definitely more for the Youth and I think that's a great thing. Bringing them in and there is a man with bongos so there's definitely a go-go band feel and the kids there are really excited about it. I love that the pastor speaks in layman's terms, you really can understand what he saying. I've been to churches where I don't understand the word that is being spoke because it's too hard to understand but Bishop really breaks it down for you. I am really enjoying this church!
My wife and I had some great experiences at Encounter. We felt welcomed, and really liked the service. If you're able to join a group and get connected, then you'll be among great people.
A small church with a big heart for the neighborhood. We try to be welcoming to everyone regardless of where they are in their faith. You don't need to get dressed up, have all the answers, or have it all together (we certainly don't!).

We have felt so loved and welcomed here. We enjoy and learn so much from the services and our children are learning and growing in the children's ministry. The people here are authentic and you truly are welcome as you are.
When our family moved to DC we were really hoping to find a church with diverse members, and we found it! Northwest Community Church has a really unique character in that there are so many people from different ethnic backgrounds and age groups in a relatively small congregation (~120 on Sunday morning). People welcomed us right away and we love the community here.
If you in the search for a friendly and welcoming Church in DC you definitely need to check Christ Our Shepherd. The congregation is amazing, the teaching amazing and the music uplifting.

Never have we been to a church like this, we found a second family here when we were so far from home. Great preaching, worship and people. Love that so many nationalities are represented here. Quite a big church but if you reach out to the staff they will make sure you are followed up with despite this. Once a month they have a newcomers dinner which is an opportunity to find out more about the church and meet other people in what can often be a lonely city. Would give more stars if it allowed!!x
Came here for a funeral that was disorganized. The church staff (ushers) were rude and uninviting when help was requested.

Great practical preaching! Excellent children's program. District is a beacon of social justice reflected in all it is involved in within the community and abroad. We're definitely a diverse multicultural church as well. We're chirch growing to serve the needs of it domestic and international community.
I had the pleasure of spending a day at Peace Fellowship on their 9th Anniversary and the experience was wonderful. Founder and Pastor Edwards is very well versed. It was truly a blessing.

When we allowed ourselves to be used by God in this church, everything else became authentic. My family especially enjoys the casual simplicity of the members. Feels like there is no one to impress really, except God.
Love this church - very friendly and diverse. Tried a bunch of churches when I moved to DC two years ago, and found none more welcoming and sincere. In a very politicized and individualistic town, this has been an oasis of friendship that crosses all the usual lines.
