Long queues to pay at cashier's.

I always loved going to 'Checkers' at Paddagat Centre (George).
I decided to shop online, the order I placed was not as I asked and I replied to them and didn't receive any feedback so days past so 'I left it'. That same week I went to the same 'Checkers' and I asked for the product I want to use 'Chocolate mousse' so 2 of their staff told me that they decided to discontinue selling it.
I was very disappointed because I usually bought their 'Fair Cape Chocolate Mousse' so the staff insisted the only option now is PNP.
This week after that disappointing feedback from their staff I decided to place an online order again to see if they improved but it was worse, I waited an hour and 15 min then I decided to add a complaint before they replied back.
'They won't be able to make the delivery to me and refund me back.
I was furious because my neighbour in front of me bought her groceries from the same store and received it in 20 min
Placing an order 30 min after me.

Clean and convenient. In a small mall with other attractions too. Everything you need under one roof

I bought the wors as per the photos. It is packed with coriander very little meat. In a piece of about 100mm, it had hundreds of coriander. Disgusting taste and a waste of money.
Beautiful checkers staff is friendly and shopping there makes me just feel comfortable and wants to buy more and more
Great Checkers branch...well stocked and quick at tills. I'm from Knysna, this is a much nicer branch. Always shop here when in George.

Great shopping centre with a variety of stores.
They will give you R5 change in 10c and 20c but refuse to accept 10c and 20c as payment. Absolutely rude owner! If you don't want our money then go to a different community or back to your own one. Support Henmars down the road, don't support these rude people who refuse money that they gave me.
Very cramped with stock and water bottles standing in the isles makes it difficult to manoeuvre through the shop with little to no space to pass by other patrons in some isles.

This spar is very nice with a wide variety of products. The staff are responsibly friendly sometimes you get the one with a bad attitude. Their ready made food is pretty good
Best spar in South Africa. They do alot for the community and I LOVE their grill section where they prepare food for you while you shop. Their prices are great! Always good quality prepared food, portions and specials. I LOVE spar Wellington! Better than any Spar in Gauteng
This store has very good coffee at a very affordable price. In-store foods are also delicious and of good quality. Lines are never long and service is quick. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Fresh produce is of very good quality and there is a big variety of fruits and vegetables available. Large variety of fresh meat as well.
This review is long over due, staff inside are lovely but this is the second time fire and grill have not given me what I ordered. A while ago called in and ordered 2 hours before pick up, when I get there not only do they not give me any piece of mind, but I talk to the manger and he said there isn't a order for that, he goes inside to the cubicle and looks at the orders and him and another guy says there's no order under my name, so either they gave my food away for didn't put in my order. Then on Saturday I order 2 hours before again, my brother goes to pick it up and they said only then that they didn't have any of the pizza I ordered!!!!! Very disappointed
Was at this Spar this afternoon, bought a mold cleaner, the cashier didn't bother to put it into those clear plastic bags that all household and items like that are supposed to go into and just stuck it at the bottom of one of my bags with cakes on top of it, needless to say the bottle leaked as soon as I picked the bag up, messing what is effectively bleach all over my brand new pair of shoes and my jersey. Thanks Heather Park Spar for properly training your staff and ruining my clothes in the process.
The usual SPAR experience, everything we need in one place. Always shop here when I need good quality groceries for any reason. It does get very busy during peak hours but that's to be expected.
All Spar's in George are very well managed. The bonus to this Spar, is their Fire and Grill. Great food at value prices. And tasty. Definitely worth it. Store itself is well stock and produce always fresh. The checkout at the tills is fast and efficient. I make an effort to shop there since it it is always a good

Great Spar, super management, small, but has everything you need. Bottle store and a flame grill take away of the sorts, super food. Extremely safe, gathering point for the neighborhood watch. BTW, in the small vicinity , a dentist, coffee shop, barber and ATM.
Today I dropped one of my reusable bags as I walked into the shop. One of the spar employees saw what happened and placed the bag behing my windscreen wiper and kept an eye till we got back out the shop. Spar and the employees has always been so friendly here and helpful when in need. Thanks for the great service. Love Kathrine

The floors is dirty, we bought a combo of R99 and could not get bread, thus us unceptable
The food is excellent. But the take away is unwilling to work a full day. Changing my review from 5 to one star. Very dissapointed. Third time this is happening to me personally. When you decide to close at a certain time then you close at that time but until that time, orders needs to be taken from customers regardless. 10 min before advertised closing is still open. Again very disappointing and wont see me soon again. If ever!
Visited Shoprite this afternoon and received the most disrespectful and rude service from Mandla at teller 6. I visit this store a lot and the staff is always friendly and helpful but i don t know what happened today.

As any other PnP you get great value however the customer service is a bit off... I visit here alot and most of the time the cashiers seems like they are in a bit of a mood. Otherwise all good
some decent food available at spar not just available but great value for money, cheese burger with chips for R45 bucks, now what does R45 buck worth of cheese burger look and taste like ? well the burger itself, decently sized fills your hand and a bit more, taste wise freshly used tomatoes , cheese and greens, the beef used is lean and fresh as well, topped with a mayo and bbq type thingy on it, the bun itself is crisp and firm , you can in face hold and eat it like a decent person and it does not fall apart, the chips are freshly made lightly spiced and properly prepared , all together it makes for a lovely fast and easy well priced burger to grab
Just about every thing u need from a supermarket,u will find here.There veggies are always top notch.There meat is most of the time very well priced,and there chicken.Must also add the shop is nice and clean,and staff are helpful.
We visit this store quite often and for some reason the last week they barely had any Kingsley cooldrinks in stock.
This shop is situated in 82 Market Street. There are ample parking spaces. There are also wheelchair parking facilities. The shop is adjacent to Clicks pharmacy. Covid19 protocols are adhered to at both access points. There are wheelchair entrances on both sides. With my last visit there were no crowding. Both cash and card payments are accepted. In spite of being very busy, the shop was neat. Customers get prompt service. I rate it (5) five stars.

Shoprite has a large variety of products and undoubtedly can suffice as a one stop shop for all your grocery needs. The shop is not always clean and the many till points are not always open so there is often a queue to checkout and more often than not the wait time is rather long. Staff are friendly and helpful
Surprising variety for such a small store. The till counters are inadequate if you are buying more than 5 items, and I constantly had the feeling that the security guard was following me around- felt a little strange.
Friendly staff and affordable prices. Have great Smart Shopper specials. Their bakery section makes the yummiest chocolate mousse and all other yummy goodness. Go try it for yourself!

We left this branch after we discovered that a lot of items for sale does not even have prices on them. How can one decide if an item is priced fairly if no prices are visible? It is frustrating if one cannot make an informed decision. Please put them up where it is clearly visible and for obvious reasons.
