Cash only! The cherries here were cheaper than other grocery stores along this street.
Everything is packed but the prices are the best in the area. And the quality is really high. Fruits and veggies are really fresh.

Stopped by several times during my trip for their cooked foods and finally bit the bullet on my last visit.

The first time ~6pm, I was being picky and wanted veg/fish kimbap with more spinach. The second time, I was too late and they sold out of 90% of their cooked items.

Then, I finally satisfied my kimbap craving at a Korean grocery store in the Richmond area. I was shocked they were charging $9 for 2 smaller rolls 😭 Not bad, but blew my "cheap takeout lunch" budget.

Woori is almost half the price at $5.50! I grabbed a roll for my flight. Zero regrets. I won't debate which kimbap had had more food. But Woori uses inari tofu for the vegan version and it's quite sweet. I wish it was more savory, but the sesame seeds and sesame oil were 👌🏼 finishing touches. So fragrant and missing from the other kimbap.

The cashier is nice, they have utensils, and a nice selection of other grocery items, some that can be heated up to eat.

Fresh produce, fruit, fish, many Chinese culinary products, decent prices, fairly quick lines
Wonderful selection of very reasonably priced Korean grab-and-go snacks and lunches.

A range of kimbap (김밥) with bulgogi beef, fish cake or vegetarian filling, to name a few. Spicy Korean Fried Chicken, just $8.99 for a huge (and very tasty) serving.

This asian market offers unique food items for sale not seen in the typical supermarket including great prices on produce and exotic fruits and vegetables.

Clean well stocked store. Frozen hot pot meats, frozen fish, meat and poultry. Fresh Asian produce, dry goods and overall good selection.

I feel sorry for the people who work at this Safeway location. At the Sandwich station and hot grill items expect to wait. There seems to always be a lack of staff. Frequented by local homeless.

Can't believe you have to scan your receipt to exit through the self checkout. Honestly that's a little much, they already locked all medicine, hygiene and liquor up in cabinets. Ridiculous to say the least.

Best Safeway selection in town. The one on 4th and the one near USF(Webster) don't compare. Kinda a supercenter w/ all the other stuff there. Feels like a suburban shopping experience right in the City. Good parking & easy MUNI access.

So sad, see ridiculous amount of security needed at Safeway. I dont blame them though, and its the same at the nearby Peets. So many people living on the streets, very tough times for our beautiful City and inhabitants. Wonderful caring dog shelters nearby, check out Muttvilleand SFSPCA, to adopt your next animal. Be the Change We Wish to See, stay positive, help out in whatever way possible, with anything. There is so much need.

One of my go-to Asian Soup and Combo plate Cafe! Great prices! Not surprising to see some of the high end SF Chinese restaurant owners having Lunch there too!....
Great Chinese BBQ, Soups, Combo plates and more...

Big box supermarket. I prefer shopping smaller grocers and Costco. I shop here mostly for things I forgot or if I need an ingredient for a recipe.

Don't get me wrong. It's a good store with well trained and friendly personnel. Very clean. Fruits and vegetables are fresh as are the meats.
Small strip mall where there is grocery, small resto, pharmacy & coffee shops.
This Safeway is not the absolute best of the many locations they have here in San Francisco, but for me it does come pretty close...
I like the large parking lot with underground parking available as well. This location is well staffed and the lines usually aren't terribly long, shelves are well stocked, and the store is on the large side as far as Safeway goes, the bathroom is available for use (with a code). I give this location an extra star on top of Safeway's expected 3 star experience I would expect in SF

One of my favorite Asian markets in the city. A lot of variety for food and drinks. Plenty of live seafood options to prepare at home. Though this is a busy area and parking can seem scant, I’m always able to find parking in a reasonable timeframe. Very walkable area and in a great location.
Great spot to get lychee and jackfruit!

A small Korean/Asian Food market with a great selection of To-Go meals that are freshly made at Woori Kitchen, the catering only food service business (no longer restaurant), across the street.
Highly recommend Beef Kimbap (Gimbap) and Sweet/Spicy Korean Fried chicken pieces.
Also enjoyed veggie Kimbap & Vegetable Japchae too. For my taste, Kimchi and chicken fried rices weren't as good the others.
It was busy even at 1:30 pm with 80% Asian local folks coming through getting their groceries or to-go meals.
All of employees were able to speak Korean perfectly.
They were able to bring extra beef Kimbap in to-go containers from Kitchen Woori across when I needed more.
If any ready to eat meals were out, just ask the manager at the register. He will make sure to bring what you want just alerting the kitchen staff across the street.

Great selection of foods, really fresh fish, and the prices are reasonable. It's stocked well and the items aren't close to their expiration dates. This is a great place to go, whether you'd just like a snack or you need all the ingredients for a meal.

Small Korean grocery market, great place to get asian cooking supplies, have almost everything from meat, vegetable, frozen food, chips and snacks. They also sell homemade Kimchi, soup, side dishes and street food. Spicy rice cake actually tasted like street vendors sold in Korea, it was affordable, filling and delicious! Parking is limited.

Usually shop here twice a week. Well-packaged fruits and veggies. They carry varieties of Asian products~ both fresh and frozen. They also carry sliced frozen meat, seafood and other hot pot items which is hard to find in other places. Lots of fresh produces and daily groceries for a small market.Super friendly people as well running the store.

Never enough carts, but staff are, for the most part, friendly and over worked, poor people. Forget ever seeing a manager. The store remains clean however, and the cashiers are champions.

So far, I’m kinda in love with this place.
It’s nicely tucked away between the restaurants, beverage stores, and small shows in the area.

It’s small but they have a good selection of the things you NEED!

Right when you walk in you’ll see the Gimbap & Korean Fried Chicken, like in your face, which are like Korean sushi rolls. On your left side you’ll see marinated crabs and other seasoned traditional Korean dishes. I found my radishes and fish cakes there.

They sell a large variety of Asian snacks, noodles, rice (including the microwaveable kinds, like is it a Korean grocer without it?), meats, and veggies.

There’s also a wall of drink options.
What’s better? If you walk in, you’ll hear lively conversations in Korean and it will feel like you’re physically in Korea even if it’s just for a minute. It’s nice to feel like you’re escaping the hustle and bustle of the city while you shop for groceries.

They accept credit cards and Apple Pay, which is becoming more common at local Asian grocers but not all accept everything so that’s a plus that I can walk in without having to bring cash.

Really nice, densely packed Asian grocer, with full vegetables/fruit, live fish, and expansive meat sections.
If you want to be treated rudely, this is your place. The cashier can change the price tag whenever they want. Dishonest and dirty supermarket. I’d rather walk a few blocks and go to Safeway. Will never come back again in this filthy place.

Everything I bought there is molded

It's an Asian heaven in SF!!! Been to SF many time and how on earth I have just found this place. Wide range + great prices. If you love Asian food especially Korean, seriously, go support this small (but PACKED) grocery so they can be there for us to enjoy just forever!

I grabbed a few of their homemade food as well, so yum!

Great place to find Korean food, they have a wide selection of ramen, frozen meats, kimchi, candy, snacks, 2 kinds of bubble coffee milk tea with boba, they also have melon, strawberry, melon, banana and lychee & peach milk! It's a nice little grocery store, we go about every 2 weeks. They moved a few things to open the store more, the freezer is more accessible I like that you can see everything easier now. Still our goto grocery store for Korean goods.
Great place to go in and buy. It includes produce, meat, seafood, and much more. I bought some tomatos there, it was moderately priced but it was ripe and the checkout clerk was nice. The place was kindy old and dirty but it isn't really dirty. It is one of the best Asian markets in sunset and it deserves to get more credit.
Great vet (7 Hills), competent post office, Walgreens and a nice Safeway. Plus parking. Just don't leave stuff visible in your car-- glass smashing has been a thing lately. Fun park and easy access to Glen Canyon hikes from it as well.
9/8 Sunday evening. Stocked well, produce in great condition and fresh. Some sales items gone but expected for being a Sunday. Enough cashiers & baggers friendly. For about a year I went to another Safeway further away. But, since 2 months ago things have really improved, maybe even sooner. Stocked faster, more cashiers, baggers, (which really changed for the better). The line of course moving much faster. Hope the management stays in place and doesn't change. Excellent recovery Safeway.
Safeway is small and could use a makeover. Parking layout leaves most spots far from front doors. Unless u live very close many routes take u on some of steepest and roughest roads in the city. Staff however is fairly friendly and helpful and compared to market and Webster Safeways its def a gem. Not a constant theft alarm or police presence is also a huge plus given the times were currently experiencing in sf. I prefer it to the tiny mission safeway as well so although it has its cons at least I dont feel as afraid to leave my car in the lot or have people asking me for change at the doorway on a day to day basis.
big. comfortable. for the whole family and single. eat for a walk. Bank Post supermarket restaurants. cheap morning coffee
Nice place to visit, with two major stores (Safeway and Walgreens) as well as several small bakeries and misc. Shops. It boasts a small friendly print and copy shop (Jensens). As well as having a post office and a Bank of America. The place is very dog friendly . As well as being right next to Glen Canyon which is as great place to hike in.

Other than Safeway (their longest tenant) this place is a revolving door for businesses. It's gotten significantly worse with the homeless issue that is prolific in this part of town, Safeway sadly has had to make multiple security changes throughout the years because there is so much shoplifting at that location. Ross only allows a certain number of people inside at a time to help stem shoplifting as well. It also definitely needs to be updated.
Nice and clean, great Sushi.
Good amount of parking. Clean. Family-friendly area with adjacent park. Safeway is clean and convenient. Walgreens almost never has line. Chinese food restaurant has failed multiple health inspections.
