Quick in and out. Self checkout was slower than at other stores and store definitely not as tidy and organized ... but got the job done.

I usually don’t shop here but I needed to stop and grab something really quick. I like that they have the self checkout but, there vegetables were not good.
This is the closest grocery store from my house aside from Amazon Fresh. Their prices are better than Amazon Fresh and also have fresh produce.
Great local market with excellent deals each week on meat & produce!
I spoke to a manager there about bringing in certain items (Dr. Praegers crunchy sweet potato patties and new Sabra houmous flavors) that I was traveling to other stores to get. Imagine my surprise when I saw them two weeks later. Thank you, Village Market Place for listening to your customers.
This is a fairly large market place where you can get some foreign Middle eastern products, goods and foods. The place is kept fairly clean.
I love their Jewish salad and the eggplant that is already made in the little containers. The only thing that upsets me... The salads only last up to 2 days then it starts smelling sour.... weird.
This store has everything you’d ever need at the grocery. I live nearby and we go here all the time to get our groceries. Their fresh produce is unmatched. Their customer service is excellent as well. Definitely a nice place to shop.

If you're one of those who is worried about the brand, then I would suggest stay far away, so there's more for the rest of us. I do have to admit that certain things just aren't up to my taste. But on the whole this is a quality store with quality products.
Amazing neighborhood store. Fantastic produce and deli/ butcher. Fun to find some unique cookies or oils from other countries. Good liquor/wine department, too!

The selection at Aldi is somewhat limited in each category, but this store has good fresh items. We especially enjoy the selection of organic and imported items.
This place is incredible! Staff is so nice. Their prices are excellent. They have many obe-of-a-kind items. Meat and bakery are so incredibly fresh. If whole wheat or sugar-free is your thing, they have a lot of options.
Very nice, honest gentleman is the owner.
Many Iranian Irene’s are available at this place.
Great produce reasonable prices nice people work there

The staff are really rude here. The blonde European lady that works at the front came up to me and said, "Make sure you scan the brown bag."....as if I'm a child that doesn't know what I'm doing. And I have better things to do than steal .10 cents bags. Get real, lady. Another time I saw her being so rude to the soda delivery guy. Learn how to speak to people.
I love the Moroccan bread and hummus. They taste so good and are reasonably priced! I do have one little complaint though. I bought a pack of drumsticks marinated in lemon pepper for $6.14. When I cooked the drumsticks and and took a bite out of one, it was like my mouth was full of salt. There were 3 drumsticks in total and I had to throw all of them away because of the amount of sodium. Seriously, whoever is marinating the chicken needs to have a taste themselves. It is that bad.

Shelves pretty bare. Out of a lot of products. Store is extremely dirty and associates very rude when you ask a question. Aldi Finds aisle looks like tornado hit it. Lots of carts in the lot
A wonderful place to shop for people of different cultures, a big variety of European style food items.
I would like to mention a young guy Ari from Deli department. He is always very polite, friendly, kind and professional. Whenever I come to buy deli products, he is very helpful and always smiles to me. I would like to be served by more people like him. Wishing him all the best in life.
I work across the street, it's convenient to walk over and get groceries. A small market with a good butcher and surprising variety. Lots of foreign snacks and deserts. I often find good deals on chicken and fresh fruit.
Best pita and hummus! Good selection of olives and feta by the pound. Don’t miss their own baklava. Big selection of too many Mediterranean items to list. I always buy much more than I went in to buy. Must visit.
Love this store!! Get fresh DELICIOUS fresh bread at very reasonable prices
Great place to shop. Freindly people
Folks were chucking corn husks on the floor when the manager decided to make an example by yelling at a couple of senior citizens. He yelled at them and even after they apologized he continued to harass them and he even kicked them out! I guess it made him feel like a man to pick on the elderly and not someone his age or size.

Thank you Marketplace on Oakton...
The food prices are exorbitant. Bought a pack of okra for $2.6, after cleaning the amount left was less two servings. A small bag of spring mix cost $5.6 at the store , whereas the big bag of spring mix cost the same at Jewel.
Small but good grocery store with a lot of options, I didn't see halal meat in them
One of my favorite stores for Middle Eastern, food,
Lovely people I would like to thank the Egyptian guy Mohammad for his great performance and smiley face.

You can find almost any persian products including spices, baked goods and more!
I was looking for specific ingredients to make koobideh kebabs, including the 1" wide stainless steel skewers and seasoning. They had everything I was looking for, and so many other wonderful items. The reasonable prices were a surprise as well. No more searching for special shawarma spices. They had multiple options for just about any spice, at better prices than anywhere I found. Delicious sweet treats, fresh bakery items and lots of economical bulk options. We will be back!

Small store but has really large selection of Persian options. I saw it on my drive and stopped to check it out, spent $200 and had Persian stuff for at least two weeks.

Best produce in the area, always friendly staff around to help. Great selection of international foods. Just make sure to take your time as you browse the isles. Lots of hidden gems.
Awesome place has all the best stuff at a good price! The worker Brandon was super nice and helpful definitely going here all the time.
Wonderful selection! We never leave empty handed. Even just to grab one thing, there are great deals too good to pass up! We are lucky to be able to walk there from our home, even on cooler days like today. (11/19)
I used to love this grocery store until they started giving me trouble for bringing my service dog. I have been bringing her to this store for over 2 years. The staff is well aware that she is a federally protected service dog. Two men started giving me trouble about a month ago, every time I would come in. They refused to let me shop and instead wanted to argue about service dog laws in the middle of the aisle. They have lost a lot of business from my family, friends, and other people with disabilities because of the way they treated me.
Very nice old man working here . He has a lot of Persian/Iranian stuff if you are looking to buy Persian stuff please go this shop
. I think we need to support him by buying from him
My all time favorite place to shop!! The owner is so kind and always helpful and I always have a large variety of options to choose from!
There are so many good things about this grocery store. Based on my experience before, it was not really a good one, which is why I just recently visited the store after a long time. There is ample parking, and I went here early in the morning, and there were only a few people. I was expecting fresh and the best quality produce, meat, and seafood, and I must say, the store succeeded in my expectation. But, before that, the store was clean and well-lit, and everything was well-organized and in stock. Moving on to the produce, they have a wide and different selection of produce that anybody could want. The same with their selection of meats, seafood, and just basically all the grocery items inside. Their groceries are not just fresh and of the highest quality, but they are also reasonably priced and somehow cheaper than any grocery store I know or have visited. Even though they have great groceries, there are also a few that are noticeably more on the downside, which I think is fine as long as I do not have any problems with everything I needed and as long as I do not buy any expired or spoiled products.
Wonderful place e. Great coffees. Great peole. I bought EVERYTHING here to make delicious Turkish coffee. Shout out to Mahdi.
Clean and organized, disinfecting wipes for carts, long lines at register, but fast cashier. Nice selection of wines and spirits, also some beer selections, find anything your looking for basically from meats, veggies, fruits, deli finds and all at great prices.
Great products, cheap prices and I am happy I know of this store.
The store is a one stop shop for all Persian/Middle Eastern groceries! They even have some great Persian sweets and breads frozen so that they stay fresh. I highly recommend you visit Peyvand you'll find lots of things you need and didn't even realize you needed!

Also, the store owner is a very nice man who is always a pleasure each time I visit. Highly recommend!!!
I’m not sure what the issue is Alford those who are rating this store less than it deserves. The store is the only one serving the Persian community in the north and has everything needed. Yes, it’s run by an older gentleman who might need time to get to the front if there is a customer. For the person suggesting the owner was rude to women, it’s absolutely untrue. I’ve shopped on my own as a woman and also with my mom He’s always been cheerful, polite and helpful.

In the middle of a Pandemic emptying shelves across the Nation....Aldi too has bare shelves. Limiting the number of items you can buy as well. Clean and organized and the employees were nice and courteous amidst the chaos. Kudos to them!

I really like this store. It's small and has a nice selection of food items and housewares. I personally love their bulk teas. There's a good selection of teas and coffee. I usually mix 3/4 black with 1/4 earl grey tea. The store also has bulk nuts and seeds. I personally bought walnuts from the store for some time. Store also has middle eastern style breads such as Armenian lavash and numerous cookies, candies and pastries. In refrigerated section there's a great selection of labne as milk, cheese, butter, eggs... Also jams, jellys and honey selection is excellent. I really liked raspberry jam from Marco Polo. Also store has tea kettles, tea cups, glasses, soaps, some cleaning supplies. The store is small but is well organized and has numerous goodies which helps finish shopping quicker. Highly recommended this little 💎gem.
Great little Persian store that has everything you might need for your Persian pantry/kitchen. The owner is very kind and helpful, the prices are very reasonable too. My wife and I always try to stop in there whenever we are in Chicago.
First time here and I have to say, i was very impressed!!! It’s a very clean store and so convenient they have zabiha halal meat. The butcher was very friendly, and i was very happy to see a section for grilling meats as well. Really easy! I was shocked to see a whole area of Shan masala.. they also have halal gummies, hookah tobacco, Bavaria, and lots of other international items. Fresh baked bread is made right next door. Great place to shop!

The best Iranian/Persian mini market . Thanks to Peyvand food we made a delicious Persian soup called Ash. The only negative thing is the pricing. Everything is expensive but, IT WORTH IT. They have a lot of real Iranian stuff. Go there and explore what Iranian food is like.
Great deli and produce.
I enjoy custom-made sandwiches
Pick out a roll or bread and add what you want meat cheese toppings.
Produce is dependent on what is in season.
Traditional Assyrian food, this place has the best customer service and a huge selections of olives, cheesus, and much more.

You are always greeted with a great big smile and awesome guidance.
