Best customer service I’ve experienced in both DC and NYC.
Friendly staff who always smile and ask if they can assist.
Great variety of ready-to-eat food with 3 to 4 sections.
Fresh beef, cut to order.
They even have an orange squeezing machine – something common in Singapore and European markets, but not often seen in the US or Toronto.

Awesome! Each store has a special variety of foods that appeals to its community. The produce is always very fresh. Workers go above and beyond to answer questions showing the customer that they truly love their job!

The only reason 4 stars were given for this review is due to the garage parking at this location. It is very difficult to navigate and you have to keep "your head on a swivel" because of the reckless driving of other vehicles. I only needed to return an item to Amazon, and this was the closest location available. The staff at the Amazon Return Kiosk were excellent and efficient.

Bought ilsa mach! Happy husband. Don’t know how I cook before buying. Stop here and go wild if married to a Bangladeshi!

I reviewed on Yelp, but thought it would be helpful to review here as well. I like the store but it has a serious supply chain problem. The shelves are often barren. Perhaps the Amazon office management that is now returning to the office can solve the problem, but seriously, it's as if the management is asleep at the wheel. How does a grocery store remain profitable with empty shelves?!

The person behind the smoothie counter doesn’t like her job, she couldn’t even figure out how to fit the lid on the container so she handed it to me with the lid sitting loose on top upside down. This was also the only flavor smoothie/ smoothie bowl they had but I was hungry. It looks gross and tasted bland.

There's no doubt this is an incredibly convenient location, and the staff is extremely helpful. But the layout of the store is frustrating and horrendous. This is largely because there simply aren't enough aisles for grocery items – thus, each aisle is effectively partitioned in two, with the front half having one series of items, and the back half having another. However, for the life of me, I cannot figure out where this partition ends, and what is actually included in each aisle is further mystified by the ambiguousness of the names (what on earth is "cooking," isn't that literally everything? and bread – why label an aisle "bread," when you can find bread in at least 2 other locations?). I've been here well over 100 times, and I mean this honestly when I say that, when I need something from the grocery aisles, 9/10 times I cannot find it.

Separately, and this is a comment to Whole Foods in general, the app needs serious rework. Confusing aisles would not be a problem if I could look up on the app in which aisle the item I want is located. However, in order to do that, I must first (a) add the item to a "list" and then (b) go to that list and see what generic section (such as "baking and cooking") that item is assigned to. Why not use aisle numbers? Or use markers *within the aisles* to point to certain types of products?

I recently visited Food Lion and Harris Teeter locations and was astounded with how easily it was to locate everything I needed, even more obscure items. I'm not really sure why Whole Foods has chosen a layout which just doesn't work, or at least, prioritizes their other (admittedly, fantastic) products, such as the floral section and food bar, over the actual grocery.

I’ve been a customer of this store for over two years. While the store offers a good variety of Eastern food options, there are several concerns that need to be addressed.

Pricing and Quality:
The prices here are often higher than what you’d find in other stores, and unfortunately, the quality of the products doesn’t always justify the cost. This has been a consistent issue.

Lack of Price Tags:
One of the most frustrating aspects is the lack of visible prices on the products. On multiple occasions, I’ve taken items assuming they were a certain price, only to find out at checkout that they were more expensive. During my last visit, the cashier even blamed me for not knowing that the listed price wasn’t accurate. This lack of transparency is disappointing and unprofessional.

Overall:
The store might be convenient for those who live nearby, and the staff is friendly and helpful. However, if you have transportation, there are definitely other options available.

I usually give 5 stars to Whole Foods Market but I'm disappointed with this policy, one that apparently is not specific to this store so I assume it's one of those lame corporate decisions. We are not allowed to bring our own containers to put the food I buy from the food and salad bars. How is that eco sensible? I was given some generic excuse about food safety. How is bringing my own container any worse than using one of the single use boxes which I then have to trash five minutes later? I see people pick up those containers and then put them back all the time. How is that sanitary? Or more sanitary than my own container? Many of the employees were not even aware of this rule because it makes no sense. Clearly this is a decision from someone who has no idea what actually goes on in real life at a grocery store. Here is one bit of advice if a corporate person is reading this: listen to your workers. They know more than you. Ask them for feedback before you impose some nonsensical rule on all of us.

It is a grocery shop. Now they have opened a boutique shop in its extended side.
In the grocery part all kinds of Bangladeshi, Indian & Pakistani groceries are available. Like as spices, small fish, big fish, dried fish, snacks, vegetables, pitha, & household accessories.
In the boutique part there are huge collection of clothes (salwar kameez, saree, blouse, lehenga, panjabi, t-shirt, kids dress) jewelleries, shoes & floral ornaments are available.
Great selection. Very kind brothers & sisters behind the counter

A Bangladeshi grocery. A Bengali myself ( coming from Kolkata, India) was excited to find many niche products, which is difficult to find in usual Indian groceries. However, did not find anything significant- other than various fishes, meat, and frozen food to try. I got some Bengali style sweets ( gurer Sandesh) and they were really good. You can find some fresh vegetables too. However, it’s worth visiting only for good quality meat and typical Bengali fresh water fishes. Don’t expect any great shopping experience, as their space is small and crammed, and quite smelly ( I guess coming from large amount of meat business)!
Great place to grocery shop if you are looking for Bangladeshi products.
Biggest bangladeshi grocery store I have seen. Good prices.
This is my favorite spot for fresh and flavorful chicken, offered at a reasonable price. I've been a loyal customer for the past eight years, and every experience has been exceptional.
My favorite place.

I was in mood of cooking some "Hilsa" (a type of freshwater fish common in the Indian subcontinent). I was pretty excited after reading all the reviews, and decided to give this place a try. Long story short; the fish was of lowest quality, it disintegrated in the gravy while cooking, and had a sub-par taste. Had to throw away most of the batch. Annoyingly bad fish.

Apart from the low quality, the shopkeeper shortchanged five ounces of fish, by selling lower than promised quantity. I got the fish weighed during checkout and pointed this out to the cashier, but didn't want to create a scene so let it slide. There were other customers behind me. I paid 25 bucks for less than 2 pounds, not worth it!

Make sure that you weigh whatever you buy here, and do not take the words of the seller for granted. Also ensure that the quality of meat is good. I do not recommend this place, period.

Bangla bazar is such a welcoming place, the owner and his wife are so kind. They have amazing service, everyone is so friendly. The meat is fresh, and they cut it just like how you want it!!
I’ve been going to Bangla bazar since 2007 and it’s definitely one of the best Bengali places to shop at.
The lady who works there is incredibly rude and nasty. Products are expired. Don't shop here.

I came here for the first time looking for halal meat and the man who "assisted" me with the meat did not return my Salaam when I entered. He gave me a look of disgust, staring at me with a twisted face the entire interaction, but as i was checking out he literally tossed the chicken onto the counter at me. Im not sure of what warranted this treatment and as Muslims, it's important that we create welcoming environments for believers of all walks of life but that is not what I was experienced here. Astaghfirullah, I will not be returning to this market as clearly I was not welcomed. Islam is a religion of peace, but not all Muslims practice such.
Great selection of South Asian foodstuffs. I got some liver too. The gentleman at the register was very kind to my rowdy kids. That meant a lot to them and they asked to go back to this store in particular. Found some frozen okra (different varieties), Naan, sucuk, and many other ethnic fares
My local nice little grocery place. Owner’s service and behavior so friendly and welcoming. Just need the old uncle back in meat section.

It is a good Russian Uzbek market. I liked it. I got some food items that I would usually get back home in Russia, which was very nice. I recommend it to anybody who’s from Russia, Uzbekistan or anyone really who’s interested in trying new foods.

Grabbed some lunch here from the salad bar. So many options and all fresh and tasty. Would be good if food labels at bar clearly stated which dishes were vegetarian. Whilst most of obvious the odd one is not. Also feel the prices are a little high but would come back for the quality, freshness and convenience.

Great store with plenty of items. Prices are affordable, and items are always in stock. Employees are very helpful and nice. It's always a great experience at this grocery shop.
Guys! Come check it out yourself, you'll not regret your visit. A friend introduced me to this place about a decade ago and I have never stopped visiting. This is what I love about this place: Professional, friendly and happy people who care about serving you beyond your expectations. Above all, fair prices and quality goods are what keeps me visiting here. Enjoy your shopping!
The owner is very friendly. The store has great items, it is definitely worth visiting. I will back next time I’m in the area.

Really nice and friendly people. Organized place with tons of options for Indian, Iranian, Pakistani and middle eastern groceries. Wide variety of spices, naans, dry lentils, etc.

This was my first visit but will definitely be a regular here and already referred several people.
Absolutely zero service, and zero respect to a customer! Entered the store at 8:46PM (announced closing time is 9:00 PM) on a heavily rainy day, and cashier telling me that the store is closed, because she closed the cash register.

The shop is small and might not have the same variety as one of the larger supermarkets, but they more than make up for it with their extremely pleasant manner and courtesy! I was able to find everything I needed and then some more. Location is quite convenient too.
This market is a perfect place for European products worldwide in having an opportunity to take advantage of special quality of service. They got many cool stuff to shop along. It's a friendly place to spend time there. The sales women is friendly in customer service. What a bonus to be there.

Just left and the cashier was RUDE ! She needs to be trained to have good customer service, only reason why I didn’t say anything rude back is cause it’s the holidays!
The lady didn't pay attention to me. No hello or thank you after the transaction. She just ignored me and was talking to the people behind me. This's not the first time. I'm very disappointed about the customer service that I got twice.
The restaurant is a great place to go with family or friends when nostalgic about food back home in Tajikistan (since the food and souvenirs are the same as in Uzbekistan) or just to treat friends when lazy to cook because the food and service is excellent! The market is a great place to shop for my favorite food products (eggplant preserves, mushrooms, pel'meni, caviar, fish, honey-cake, etc....) or excellent place to buy souvenirs to buy as a gift to your friends. Brings back good child/adulthood memories and it makes me feel at home.
The lady behind the counter was very rude to my family when we came to this store. while purchasing my stuff she tells my mom not to touch anything unless she’s going to buy it. I asked her not be rude to my mom and she starts yelling at us. So I ask can she please ring me up so we can go but she continued to go on and on finally I asked for my card back n she threw it at me. I will never step foot in this place again .
Money transfer has never been more convenient, just have a phone number with them and it's as quick as lightning. I just think they need more hands on the money transfer department. But it's still a good service rendered.
My wife is from Ghana, the girl behind the counter tried to overcharge me because I am a white American guy. I am very disappointed, will not do business again.

The clerk asked me to buy out dated spices and I refused. The spices I did purchase were not in my bag when I got home. I hate to think she did this on purpose because I’m an African from America and I refused to buy the outdated spices.
I love this store! My go to place for clothing, organic shea butter, and cooking necessities.

If you want to experience Russian culture go to this market and you will find so many different types of treats. If you grew up in russia you will be really nostalgic and will find many familiar stuff in store such as chocolate and bunch of other snacks and products.
Stopped by today and the staff was rudely unpleasant.

It's a grocery store, you are in the service industry, you don't frown at customers for coming into the store to patronize you. I'll stick to the one close to where I live. To think I drove 4 miles, when I have one less than a mile from me. Y'all need to do better.

Extremely rude and unfriendly staff, they act like doing their job is a favor to you and a hassle, lacking in simple manners and common courtsey. I would absolutely not recommend this store if you have any other options at all.

I really like this store ! The two gentlemen that work there were very nice and professional, I went there to get Moroccan Barely and Semolina couscous the price is good compared to Amazon and I also got pure fat to use in my Moroccan Pancakes ( Mesemen ) and they didn't charge me for it 👍🏾
I can find everything at this market. The owner is very helpful to your needs. She will take my order over the phone and ship them to me. I pay for shipping. It's worth it to have what I need and want.
