Technische „Hürden“ als Begründung zu nehmen, einfach mehr abzurechnen als bestellt wurde ist schon frech. Die 17,95€ Pizza, bei der der teure special Schinken weggelassen und gegen Champignons ausgetauscht wurde, kostete dadurch plötzlich 20,40€.
Die Chefin sah keine Notwendigkeit da irgendwie den Aufpreis nicht zu berechnen.
Die Bedienung war aber sehr nett und aufmerksam. Die Pizza lecker. Aber das hätte man uns auch vorher sagen können. Völlig unnötig mit solchen Maschen den Umsatz zu steigern und dafür Kunden beim bezahlen zu überraschen und mit einem unguten Gefühl gehen zu lassen. Fraglich wer dann gerne wiederkommt.

Nice place for vegetarians, but the service was not that great because the things were getting emptied in the buffet and they were not refilled.
I liked the food quite a bit, the only thing I did find was that the lasagna was very small.
As for the facilities, very nice especially its outdoor area. The outside seating is self service, which is not bad, but at the time we arrived there were a lot of people, we had to wait in a long line just to place our order because they did not have enough staff (the same person who took the orders had to go to the kitchen and remove the orders ready outside).
I also found it inefficient that they did not take names when taking the order, since once the order was ready the staff had to go outside and go around the tables until they found the customer.
As for the facilities, very nice especially its outdoor area. Versalzene Pizza mit billigstem Plastikgeschirr zu überteuerten Preisen. Noch nie so schlecht gegessen !!! Und dafür 30 min in der Schlange gestanden. Nie wieder
Schönes Restaurant mit freundlichem Personal. Essen ist lecker und hat gute Portionen mit angemessenen Preisen. Die Möbel sind für meine Ansprüche trotz Sitzkissen recht unbequem. Es gibt sogar extra eine Vegane Speisekarte.

Wir hatten ein Geburtstag und waren sieben Personen. Der Laden war bis auf den letzten Platz ausgebucht. Trotz allem ein toller und netter Service. Das Essen war echt super lecker und auch qualitativ sehr gut. Wir waren voll auf zufrieden und kommen sicher wieder. Reservierung ist dringend zu empfehlen ;-)
wer die Sterneküche schätzt, jedoch auch mal bereit ist was Neues auszuprobieren , der ist hier goldrichtig. Wir waren begeistert und hatten einen tollen Abend.

Wonderful food. Lots of servers standing around the bar not working. They kept forgetting my drink, I had to get up twice to go ask them for it, then they got it wrong. Toddler being allowed to run in circles round the place, tumbling and crying with no apparent supervision. The food makes it worth trying again though. The raclette was divine. Cool light fixtures.

Einfach klasse! Alle Essen (Burger, Schweinefilet, Rehragout) super lecker, Bedienungen sehr nett und aufmerksam plus natürlich einer der coolsten und nettesten Chefs überhaupt. Danke an Chris und alle vom Quartier! Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder 😊

We went there because we saw it has good reviews but…… everything was pretty bad.
Starting for the food, we had to wait for 45min for 2 dishes, we ordered spring rolls and they were frozen ones, they taste disgusting after the red curry I ordered was water, didn’t taste like anything, vegetables weren’t nice, it was completely disgusting.
We order as well stair fried rice with duck and they gave us the wrong one witj shrimps. After waiting for too long we didn’t even wanna change it because we were starving.
Staff was nice but they don’t even pay you attention.
I would not recommend this place if you wanna eat good thai food.

Geschmacklich war der Veggi Burger sowie das Omelletgericht eher nur ok. Die Pommes waren wie die bei Nordsee. Anscheinend die gleiche Sorte und schmeckten eher fade. Sieht etwas besser als es schmeckte. Ist natürlich subjektiv. Vorallem fanden wir die Portionen viel zu Groß. Persönlich bin ich kein Freund von gigantischen Portionen. Gegen Große Portionen habe ich nichts. Das Omelette Gericht hätte für zwei Personen gereicht. Vielleicht wäre dann auch ein Nachtisch möglich gewesen. Es sind nicht nur große Portionen gewesen sondern Riesige. Das wird viel Esser eventuell freuen. Take Away wurde nicht von uns angefragt, weil wir nur zu Besuch in Freiburg waren. Dann isst man zuviel oder die Lebensmittel landen in der Tonne.
The sushi was okay, even though a bit mediocre. There were not many options and many of them were on the cheeper end of the spectrum. We saw one plate with 2 salmon nigiri. Most of the sushi was made with crab sticks and Philadelphia cheese.

Es war etwas los, ja, vor allem draußen, aber man musste zu Teil selbst los, um sein bestelltes Getränk selbst abzuholen bzw. Daran zu erinnern. Du hast kange warten müssen und sehr viel daran tun müssen, die Aufmerksamkeit zu erhalten. Wollte eigentlich noch ein Dessert probieren - habe ich mir aber gespart.

Very nice and friendly service: besides German, the staff can speak perfect English and were very kind and patient with us when we tried and practice our very basic German! We had lunch outside on a hot day and it was very nice and not packed at all. The food was tasty: we had the local gourmet sausages and the schnitzel as well as a gazpacho soup. The last one was a bit spicy for my taste but I think it’s a local reinvention and in that sense I feel you should try it if you think you’d like a somewhat spicy version of a traditional southern European plate. The Sausage was really good to the point I wished I had more than 2 thin sausages in my plate! LOL The schnitzel was very tasty but I should note we are not very experienced in German/Swiss/Austrian traditional dishes. They seemed to have quite a selection and cater to vegan, gluten intolerant (or folks that prefer gluten free diet) and lactose intolerant patrons judging on the specific menus for these dietary requirements.
Good foods and nice environment. The curry shrimp rice and the shrimp pasta were pretty good with acceptable prices. The staff were nice.
Tolles Lokal mit abwechslungsreicher Karte. Und ja, nicht nur Karttoffelgerichte! Der Außenbereich ist im Sommer sehr beliebt und wird mit Wassernebel gekühlt. Das hält so nebenbei auch Wespen fern. Reservierung ist dringend empfohlen, da immer gut besucht.

Wir hatten einen wunderschönen im Eichhalde Restaurant. Auf unseren Wunsch wurde das komplette Menü als vegetarische Gänge serviert. Die verschiedenen Gänge kombinieren traditionelles der italienischen Küche mit Kreativität und Moderne. Die Weinbegleitung ist sehr zu empfehlen.
We went for dinner and ordered the four course menu with the wine pairing. The monk fish was incredible and the meat was tender. The wine pairing was German local wine and paired well with each dish. The atmosphere was fantastic and the dim lighting created more of an authentic Black Forest feel.
I like to come here each time I visit Freiburg, such good food. The decor makes me feel like I'm in their living room, so welcoming.

This place is like a gem in the city. Placed on a quiet square with a fountain in the center. Amazing for a stop in a warm day.

It was great. We have got vegetarian options here tortilini pasta & veg curry.Also in non veg Tom's burger was good too.

Das Essen war ein Hammer! Leider kam unsere Vorspeisen um ca 10 Minuten versetzt und unser Hauptgang bereits als meine Partnerin endlich ihre Vorspeise erhalten hat 30 Sekunden danach.. Das war ungeschickt. Sonst top!
Spontan entschieden hierher zu gehen, um am Abend etwas zu essen: Die Gerichte sind sensationell ohne zu übertreiben! Selten so gut gegessen, sehr gut abgeschmeckt! Der Service war ebenfalls sehr zuvorkommend, aufmerksam und freundschaftlich von der Art her; sehr locker also. Insgesamt ist das Lokal somit ganz klar zu empfehlen!👍🏻

Great food, service and overall atmosphere. The waitress was very friendly and patient with our limited German speaking skills haha! Definitely recommend the classic BBQ burger and fries as well as the tiramisu for dessert. Chef's kiss!
I have been to this place 4-5 times inthe last 3 years. According my latest experience, I can tell that the quality of food has decreased substantially. During the last visit we had sushi with not well cooked sushi rice. You could feel the crunch of rice in mouth which felt like either eating a takeaway cold sushi or sushi with undercooked rice.
Just to point out that, I year ago this was in my opinion, the best sushi restaurant in freiburg. So I will give it a benefit of doubt that it might be that just on the day the sushi was not good. Hence will update my comment after the next visit. May be with time the quality has changed. Still will keep the option open for a visit again.

Fantastic from start to end. One of the best in town if you like gourmet food and enjoy a great wine cellar.

The place location in very nice, the set up is good, however food is really disappointing. Appetizer prawns were good, but their burgers patty is definitely not Angus meat, it is full of sausage pieces, and solid hard, dry with no taste. noodles with shrimps was tasteless , boiled noodles with shrimps with zero sauce or any ingredients. on top of that , orders were mistakenly changed with other food with no apology. I would not recommend the place for food.

Italien neu und anders interpretiert! Ein Menü wie ein Gemälde , Weine sind auf das Essen abgestimmt , die Zusammenstellung der Gänge war kreativ, Gaumengenüsse pur , wir waren begeistert!

Great Sushis, the chefs there really do a good job, the Sushis are great. What levels down the experience is the staff (or potentially owners) who are rather "busy" and not flexible at all. The bar was fully reserved and this made us sit in the traditional Japanese seating corners, which is no issue, but it took us 45 Minutes to get a first bite. Inflexible in the way that we were not allowed to help us with a few bites turning across the band on the bar and the kids almost crying from starve - seeing the Sushis moving across in a few meters reach and not being allowed to grab at least a first couple of plates. Not good. And even worse when seeing that the 4 seats were still free for the whole time we were there. Then going for paying and figuring out that they double-charged us (8 instead of 4 evening menus), which again turned into more waiting time with now sleepy kids...
Sehr nettes Personal wir waren sehr zufrieden .wir hatten den Mittagstisch für 9,90 € . Ein kleiner Salat , eine große Pizza oder Pasta . Wir waren sehr zufrieden und kommen gerne wieder . Das einzige was zu bemängeln war , war eine kleine Mücke im Salat , ansonsten eine schöne sonnige Terasse und sehr schnelle fleißige Mitarbeiter . Wir kommen gerne wieder
Anfangs unscheinbar aber Service, Essen und Atmosphäre waren so gut wie perfekt. Das Essen war der Hammer. Ich habe noch nie so gute Muscheln im Tomatensud gegessen. In der Soße ware reichlich Gemüse. Auch der Zander mit dem Champagnersauerkraut war hervorragend. Alles in entspannter Atmosphäre, total locker, total gemütlich. Wenn wir in Freiburg sind, wird definitiv wieder ein Tisch reserviert!!
We were unconventional customers; we asked for the vegetarian four course dinner but split between the two of us, and tacked on an appetizer à la carte. The staff took it in stride, and after some clarification we realised they'd divided all the dishes save for the dessert into two plates. Every course was scrumptious; from the tomato sorbet starter to the lemony risotto, to the fazzoletti and ending with a classic crème brûlée with an elderflower sorbet. Our bill was adjusted without our knowledge to reflect the accomodation we requested, but it was pretty fair. We left with happy bellies.

Einziger Nachteil sind die Parkmöglichkeiten, aber das hindert mich nicht gerne wieder zu kommen.

The place was really good. The noodles with chicken is a must try. It was delicious. We also had rice with beef and that also was super tasty. You should give it a try.
Seems Nice. I must have hit a quiet though as not many people or options on the conveyor belt (2pm). The place looks clean and nice though. The fish ingredients in the sushi or the sushi rice could do with a tad more fresh taste. Otherwise nice service and nice presentation.
Be careful that looked like complimentary soup and tea is not. This will be added to bill even if you don't ask for it. Since the experience with the tea and miso soup, not sure I would go again. I am not a fan of such tactics.

Kann ich nur weiterempfehlen. Essen war sehr lecker. Hat sehr an Thailand erinnert. Beste Massaman Curry. Auch die Suppe mit Glasnudeln und gebratenes Gemüse mit Hühnchen waren sehr lecker und man wird mehr als satt. Die Bedingungen sind freundlich und nett. Der Gastraum ist etwas kahl und es lieg leider keine Musik, dennoch kommen wir sehr gerne wieder 😊

His exquisit art to focus on the natural taste of the best possible ingredients is masterly excecuted, he does not compromise to cater for German or any other tastes. He trained with the best chefs in Italy and graces Freiburg with his totally authentic southern Italien cuisine, full of surprises and innovation. The service lead by Valentina Tito is exceptional. A new wine list features many treasures of Italien Wines, from outstanding and some not so well known wineries. Gault Millau rewards the Eichhalde with three red cooking hats! Wow! In March 2023 the Eichhalde was rewarded with a Michelin Star, just as we predicted! Heartfelt congratulations! Christian Bau, one of the most celebrated 3-Star Michelin Chefs in Germany just called the Eichalde „the biggest culinary surprise of the year“. The dinner left him speechless many times, he wrote in an article for Die Welt newspaper.
Feine Nudelgerichte sehr gute Pizza, dazu ein leckerer Rosé, vor allem am Samstag ein besonders freundlicher Service, auch von der jungen japanischen Servicekraft. Auf unseren Wunsch hin wurde auch eine tolle Käseplatte gezaubert, die gar nicht auf der Karte stand! Wir waren sehr zufrieden !
The savory buffet dishes were good and the outside seating area was nice. We tried the marble cake and also chocolate almond cake. Both were very disappointing (one was super solid and way too sweet, the other very dry). Would go again for dinner but get dessert elsewhere. Service was very very friendly.

Just amazing. So many great looking salads and warm vegetarian dishes, it was almost impossible to make a choice and not overcrowd your plate. The food tasted very fresh and nice and there were quite some unusual flavors and mixes. I think it's about 2 Euro per 100 gramm wich I find adequate given the quality of the food. I will come back for sure

Das Essen war sehr lecker, die Bedienung sehr freundlich, Preis/Leistungsverhältnis war auch sehr gut. Das einzige was mich nervte war, dass ich ca 30 Minuten auf mein Essen warten musste. Aber es war auch Muttertag und deswegen sehr viel los. Ich kann den Laden empfehlen, hier macht man nichts falsch.
Dieses Restaurant ist eine der drei meine lieblings Restaurants in Freiburg, ich war vor kurzem in Thailand und das Essen schmeckt genauso gut so wie Dort.. die Bedienung ist Klasse und die Kellnerin sind super freundlich, kann man auch zu mit nähmen bestellen, die Preise sind voll in Ordnung. Fünf volle Sterne für mich!!

For posh dining, this is absolutely one of our go-to places in Freiburg. The service is impeccable, the food is wonderful and if you know what's good for you, you'll take the staff's wine recommendation. Love it, love it, love it.

Amazing vegan food! It’s buffet and by weight (same as Wholefoods salad bar in the US if you’re familiar). Our plates were on the lighter side and came out to around 8 euros each — not cheap considering how much food we got, but worth it given how good it was. Staff were really friendly.
The restaurant manager and waiters are racist towards the arab community. And the treatment and waiting of the staff are very poor. I do not recommend this restaurant at all.
Disappointing. I have had a lot of sushi in my life ... cheap sushi as well as expensive sushi. This was one of the worst I have ever had. They only had the same four kinds of sushi on the belt, which was sort of empty most of the time (as seen on the photo). There was also just too much rice and super little fish / meat.

Nice little place for lunch with thai specialities in affordable price! Good service and good amount of portion! Would recommend for quick lunch!

Very traditional old style gourmet restaurant. The quality of food is excellent, even if every course had some bit delusional aspects like a boring rabbit terrine, an undefined vegetables bed under the superb fish or a tasteless frozen cream mousse on the dessert dish (the ice cream was awesome though). Big minus is the service, despite the efforts of the young members of the crew, the senior ones lack completely of customer attention and friendliness, not even a single smile during the whole dinner. Moreover they started to setup the room for the next morning breakfast while half of the tables where still occupied with guests.
In conclusion the food is good, wines are well matched but overall not a memorable experience.

A beautiful little italian place in Freiburg. Very nice ambience and authentic interior. The food is very good and fresh. We tried the enoteca menu, which is a 7 course surprise menu for about 50$. That was awesome. The service was outstanding and friendly, and the wine recommendation was perfect. The place accepts credit cards.
