I had the most incredible experience at this all-you-can-eat sushi restaurant! The quality and quantity of Japanese dishes exceeded my expectations. I visited for lunch over the weekend, and I must say, the salmon sashimi and sushi were absolute favourites of mine. Every dish we tried was of high quality and incredibly delicious.

One standout was the tempura - it had a perfect crunch on the outside and was wonderfully soft inside, like a delicate snowflake. What impressed me the most was that everything was prepared fresh after we ordered, ensuring the utmost freshness and flavour.

Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone craving delicious Japanese cuisine. With the option to order as much as you can eat, it's a fantastic dining experience that I can't wait to repeat!

A delicious variety of sashimi and sushi rolls. The oysters were also solid. The service was great.

Exceeded my expectations considering there were a few bad reviews. Service from two wait staff tonight was fantastic. Taste was high quality and I couldn’t fault any of the dishes. Tempura was light and crispy. Highlight was the beautiful sashimi platter (how is this part of an ALL YOU CAN EAT?) and the deep fried oysters were 10/10. Will return again - great value for the quality of food.

Ordered ala carte for dinner. The sashimi 🍣 and prawn 🍤 and veggie tempura were good, but miso soup was very fishy. Chawanmushi was soft and custard-like but somewhat oily?

Service was friendly and attentive.

Prices on the expensive side.

*$59 "eat all you can" for 90 miniutes minimum 2 people.

You will immediately notice that this place is very busy. Almost always very busy and you quickly find out why - their food! It smells good just walking in. We ordered the original Gamjatang (L) and it was hugely confronting! I love the portion though and love the broth even more! The broth is rich, savoury, not overly spicy, soul warming and best paired with rice or noodles! The Donkachu is also huge though I think the meat is a tad dry.. but I would go back just for the Gamjatang! It’s addictively good!

Great place to visit if you like enjoy eating Korean style Pork backbone soup (Gam-ja-tang). Usually busy from open trade so recommend going early unless you’re ok with waiting in line. The lady recommended for two men to go for the medium, but we went for large. Eventually went through a decent amount of it. There are two types of signatures available, would recommend the old aged kimchi version. Heap amount of backbone provided with decent amount of meat attached to it. Would have been better is the meat was cooked longer for more tenderness. Service was great and attentive.

My friend HAO highly recommended it, that was really DELICIOUS ! The meat is very tender and the soup is rich. It's worth traveling from the city to eat here, and the portion is large enough that you can pack it up and add more ingredients to eat.

If you want to experience real Korean food, run and line up. It can be said to be a real general Korean restaurant that is not overdecorated. It's a little salty, but it can vary depending on the person. Take out the soft, moist flesh between the pork bones and eat it. Above all, I was surprised by the kindness of the serving staff and the good care of the busy hall. There is a reason why it is famous. Don't worry, go and enjoy it!

We came for the pork rib stew and noticed after sitting down that it's a spicy item. Asked the staff if there's an option for less or non-spicy, and we were told it's not spicy. That turned out to be quite untrue - it definitely wasn't "not spicy".

The restaurant wasn't that busy when we arrived around 1pm on a Friday. But the place continued to fill during our stay and was pretty much full by the time we left 75 minutes later!

We ordered:
* Choi gamjatang (spicy pork rib stew) - original, $54.50 (medium)
* Rice add-on, $2 each

There's a slight discount for paying cash.

The medium serve of gamjatang+ rice was enough for the 3 of us to feel like we had no room for dessert. You can also get this in large (reviews suggest this is good for 4-5 people) for $10 extra, and there's a kimchi version which costs $5 above the original in both sizes.

Whilst I enjoyed the meal overall I did find the pork itself to be less tender than expected - it certainly wasn't fall off the bone like some reviews I've read 🙁 My chopstick-wielding muscles got a decent workout trying to extract the meat from the bones!

If I get another chance at this dish I would like to get the second course option of bokkem bab (fried rice) finished with a stir fry in some of the remaining soup from the stew. That sounds like a feast of flavours

We had the mountain bbq beef and the kimchi pancake. Both were delicious and quite affordable for the amount you get. I get kimchi pancake every time I eat Korean and this is one of the best I’ve tried - so crispy on the outside (not soggy) and full of veggies. The BBQ tastes great, too, and is a HUGE portion for what you pay. For two of us we easily had enough leftovers for another large meal. The staff there were also super friendly. When we were taking our leftovers, one lady rushed to the back to get some extra sauces for us to take to make sure we had enough! So kind and delicious food, will definitely be back!

Finally decided to try after passing few times seeing always got a line up.
A very simple limited menu but boy was it yum!!!
Pork bone soup stew absolutely delicious, meat was tender and falling off the bone, soup is full of flavour. Kimchi stew was delicious too except the pork bits in it is quite tough.
Definitely coming back to tackle the full size bone stew hot pot.
This place stands out for Korean bbq, we come here at least twice a month. We love the fresh selection of meat cuts and their side dishes are delicious. Very generous with their servings aswell. We are so looking forward to bringing our friends here to try Mooink very soon. The staff are kind and attentive, highly recommend.
Service was truly exceptional - the staff were attentive, friendly, and made our dining experience memorable. The Kimchi pork soup was a flavorful explosion that left me craving for more, and the Wagyu beef was incredibly tender and succulent, a must-try for any meat lover. This restaurant is a gem for Korean BBQ enthusiasts!

Great place to book for a large group. The side dishes are unlimited and delicious, as are the combination sets with the different meats, the cheesy corn and steamed egg. Can’t forget the soju sets.

We tried this place last night and Omg. My husband and I are keen wagyu enthusiasts and it’s pretty much the only thing we get from Korean bbq, well this has to be the best we’ve had in Brisbane. We ordered the wagyu set B and chose the scallion side salad to go with it. Sides were abundant and tasty. The wagyu was so buttery and tender. We ordered a serve of fried dumplings for the kids and they loved them. We found the service to be kind and attentive. Highly recommended!

We had “ chief table “. Both beef and pork were so tender and juicy. There were about 7-8 side dishes and cold noodles were all nice. Great customer service. I’m Korean and highly recommended to try this place. I also love how they have a big space for parking too

Recently had lunch here with family on Easter Sunday. Upon entering this restaurant, I can immediately tell a difference from the other Korean BBQ places, this place is less smoky and less chaotic. The staff were all friendly and the food, my gosh, it’s high quality meat ☺️ Not just the wagyu but also the beef and pork. We love especially that the meat were grilled in charcoal not electric grill so the meat tasted so much better. The side dishes were great, the seafood soft tofu stew was spicy but lovely. They charged 15% surcharge as it was Public holiday so that was expected. I can’t recommend this place enough. Will surely come back again and again.

They offer 8 entrees and free refills, they were nice too! We didn't feel like BBQ so we ordered a la cart dishes, steam egg, seafood pancake, cold noodles and Tonkatsu. The one that stands out has to be the seafood pancake, fluffy and crunchy and full of seafood. Another good thing was that you can ring the bell on the table for service, so no need to yell out. Also 5% off for cash payment!

TLDR: The food looks great, but you can tell the quality isn't up to par for the prices they've set.

Ambience: Upon entering you're greeted with quite a dark yet gently lit dining place. The choice of dark woods used in much of the dining area gives a high class, though slightly dated feel. Then you sit down and your seat is obviously very old: the foam padding having given way years ago.

Service: The older Chinese lady taking our order was straight to business. The younger lady serving us was much more friendly and chatty!

Food: It looks incredible but you can tell that corners are being cut in quality.

The sashimi platter was stunning in presentation - the quality of the fish not so much. While ok, you could tell it wasn't the best.

Agedashi Tofu was great - the tofu held it's shape well, the batter was on point, and the dashi was seasoned perfectly.

Soft-shell crab - this was the highlight dish of the evening. Fried to perfection, and the use of fried garlic as a garnish was perfect.

The various sushi rolls we had were decent. Well made, with rice well seasoned. It's hard to go wrong with these.

The Shabu Shabu was average to say the least. The flavours were ok, lacking in complexity.

So overall, the evening was ok. The dining exprience was ok, but for the price you can find better Japanese fair elsewhere.

Had a lovely time at Mooink. It seemed like a full house for dinner, all the staff were flat out. Even though it was busy, customer service was good, food came out within reasonable time and food tasted great. We order the M1 wagyu set which has various grades/cuts of beef. The fattier pieces tasted better, some of the leaner cuts were just average. Not exactly cheap as it was $175 but the price of beef has gone up in recent years. The soy bean soup and seafood pancake was between $17-20. Both dishes are worth ordering, the pancake is probably one of the best I've had in Brisbane. What I really liked about Mooink is the variety of side dishes that they provide and you get up to 2 free refills. Each side dish tasted good too. For a group of 5 people this ended up being about $40pp. There's a 5% discount if you pay with cash and possibly card surcharge if you pay by card. I recommend trying this restaurant, definitely one of the better Korean BBQ restaurants in Brisbane.
