Most of the time, the food is very tasty. The service is normal, neither good nor bad. Atmosphere is ok for a place used primarily for takeouts.

Got the chicken and cashews with fried rice a dollar extra but well worth it / all delicious!!
Just horrible. This place has gone downhill fast. Don’t waste your money. Food overcooked, a roach in my food, and cold when picked up. This place used to be ok. Much better options close by. Sad. They should close or get a new staff/cook.

The food was good food and the service fine. We ate at the restaurant and the AC wasn't turned on so it was pretty hot inside.

Revolting. Orange chicken had alot of gristle and tasted old and expired. Spring rolls were greasy as an oil slick. Even the steamed broccoli was oily. I was scared for my stomach.
Best,.most consistently good Chinese food in the area. We love their general tso chicken and chicken and broccoli

New, clean location. Drove over an hour and got about 70 dollars in food from this location after confirming it was the same one (chain?) from Reston for my moms birthday...I think they even had the same decorations from the old store (chain?). They perfectly packaged my order. After years it made me so happy my mom was able to enjoy the same hot and sour soup she loved and remembered and has been taking about and missing for years. Thank you from the kid of the "Hot and sour soup lady" lol.

I do not recommend this Chinese restaurant - upon eating my takeout I found multiple pieces of sharp egg shell in the dumplings.

This restaurant almost deserves 4 stars. The food is affordable and edible. I wish they charged more and actually put filling into the wontons. I wish they put in a little more effort. I live 0.2 miles too far for their delivery. Everything was almost good, just not quite there…
Worst food ive ever gotten. Gonna call my bank for a refund how bad it is. How can you feel acceptable to give someone this. This cannot be chicken it has to be fried weazel or something.. immediately thrown out and will never return. Becareful
Ordered one order of orange chicken and they delivered it to me in under 10 minutes. The fried rice is fresh the vegetables tasted fresh. The chicken mostly white meat. I can tell they use clean oil when cooking the rice. The food tastes very good.

My family and I have been enjoying China Gourmet for years. So consistently good quality food, generous portions, so quick, very courteous staff. Makes it tough to consider any other similar restaurant, when it never disappoints. Good problem to have!
Keep it up!
Good but not great. This Chinese is passable but nothing special. My order always is wonton soup, Crispy beef and kung Pao chicken. The Crispy beef is not crispy and the slices are larger than what you usually get. The price is pretty cheap which aligns with the quality. There is no great Chinese food in this area so depending on your address this might be the best option which is disappointing.
I have had food from here before and was satisfied.

This establishment has changed. The quality in the food itself and it’s taste has lost its appeal.

I don’t recommend. You’ve been warned, lol…

Hot food melts styrofoam to the food. They used to place wax liner on the bottom to prevent this.

Another thing I asked for an egg roll which is usually veggie at most places. I received a shrimp egg roll. I hate shrimps!

This review is based on this visit but you’ve been informed and warned, lol.
I came in for take away and was very pleased with my lunch special. Service was quick, meal was made to order, and the Hunan beef was very tasty. Right now, they’re only doing take away, but as I did, you can eat outside in the outdoor seating if you wouldn’t like to go far. They have a good selection of authentic Chinese and Cantonese, and very quality as well. Would highly recommend support one of the few local businesses in the Cascades plaza, cheers.
