Tapas and paella were delicious. Tip: this place also serve paella for one person. The waiters were the friendliest and most hospitable during our holiday. It's a bit off the main "food court" so the atmosphere is more quiet and cozy. The place is relatively small, so reservation is advised for larger groups.

The service was great. Our waiter was extremely nice and pleasant. Too bad we didn't ask for his name.
The food was great. We would definitely visit again.
What an absolute treasure of a find. Located in beautiful scenery, the restaurant is spotless. The hosts (father and daughter) were an absolute delight.
The food is homemade and deliciously tasty. Thank you to the staff for a very memorable night, you exceeded our expectations.
As it was my birthday and we ordered desserts, they even sang happy birthday and placed a lit candle in my dessert.
I totally recommend this place, if you try it, thank me later...

Best restaurant in Alcúdia, by a long shot. Fernando and his daughter are gracious hosts, and take genuine care in preparing every dish. The ambiance is incredible and the property is beautiful. We returned night after night because we couldn’t get enough of the Arrabiata. If you visit Alcúdia, make sure you do not miss this gem!

Charming Restaurant with Terrace

This charming restaurant truly shines in this neighborhood. We had the pleasure of savoring two delightful evenings on their enchanting terrace. The Chef crafts each dish with meticulous attention to detail and the finest ingredients, while his daughter, who serves the meals, is exceptionally attentive and accommodating.

An added bonus is their thoughtful anti-mosquito system: they disperse a mist of mosquito repellent in various parts of the terrace, shielding guests from those small little beasts.

We look forward to returning next year, hoping to find their own chickens and homegrown tomatoes in the mix by then.
Ok food, but poor service. We ordered croquetas that we’re ok and paella mixta, which was ok but slightly burnt and a bit too salty.
The waiters were busy, but no excuse. I have been in many places where waiters were lovely and smily in spite of being busy, not the case here. No bread served with the food. We had to set up our table once they pilled the plates and cutlery in the middle. Nevertheless, it was nice that they served the paella portions in our plates.
No kids friendly place. My kids got quite exhausted because the waiters had no time (took 30 secs once they did) to roll open the shade.
The inner patio was pretty and had nice views to the town wall, and an aquarium that the kids liked.

The ultimate tourist trap perfectly placed. Great sized portion for the price. But much better traditional authentic Spanish food can be found in the smaller gulleys, just have to wait for them. This is a quick fix due to size of the restaurant. We ordered 5 tapas and they were all of mediocre quality and taste as we had tasted nearby more homely competitors. Location is great because you are on the main street with other restaurants. Would avoid if possible unless you want a large portion of mediocre food.
Came here for dinner on our last night in Alcudia and I would recommend it over and over again! Location is beautiful and the atmosphere is serene, romantic and so luxurious.

The place is very intimate with a limited menu of just starters, fresh pasta and either salmon or steak (plus a few children’s options) which to me is perfect and just speaks to the amazing quality of each dish. I loved every single bite!

Service was also wonderful, the waitress on arrival also greeted me by name after I had spoken to her on the phone which was a lovely touch.

So surprised this place doesn’t have thousands of great reviews! An absolute gem hidden just between Port d’Alcúdia and the old town.

Price was also very reasonable for the quality (€120 for 2 people including starters, mains, shared desert, coffee and a bottle of wine)
Just wandered back from a great evening at Sa Mossegada. Best meal, service and atmosphere we've had in Old Town area of Alcudia. Fantastic value too! Felt just a bit special. Thoroughly enjoyed the shoulder of lamb in particular and courtyard setting was lovely as Sun settled over the old walls....
This is a must for anybody who wants to experience Mallorca and fine dining. I dont know what happened with the previous review but that had to be a fluke. We were here in 2019 and it was fantastic. I think this year was even better, …if possible. Best gnocchi I ever tasted and a beautiful vibe with a friendly staff!!!!
Disappointing Dining Experience

I recently dined at this restaurant, and I must say, it was a thoroughly disappointing experience. From the moment I walked in, I had a sense that something wasn't quite right.

First and foremost, the portion sizes were shockingly small. I left the restaurant feeling far from satisfied, and I even had to grab a snack on the way home just to quell my hunger. This alone was disappointing, but it only got worse.

The prices, on the other hand, were exorbitant for the meager portions we received. I expected to pay a premium for a dining experience, but I did not anticipate such an unreasonable cost for so little food. It felt like daylight robbery.

Adding to the frustration was the excruciatingly long wait for our meals to arrive. It's one thing to have small portions, but quite another to have to wait an eternity for them. The entire dining experience felt like a never-ending ordeal.

In the end, this restaurant left me feeling like I had been taken advantage of. The combination of tiny portions, inflated prices, and lengthy waits made it seem like a complete scam. I would strongly caution anyone considering dining here to think twice and explore other options in the area. This was, without a doubt, a regrettable dining experience.

Nice atmosphere and location especially with outdoor seating. The service was good. The food was alright. Although i think the prices were slightly too high for what you get but not by much

Right in the middle of a busy street. They have a variety of tapas, paellas, and other Spanish foods. I was happy they have some vegan options (such as the vegetable paella and café con (oat) leche).

The servers were nice and attentive. The prices were solid too. Definitely recommend.
A wonderful experience having dinner at Sa Mossegada. Great food, really attentive service and a beautiful view of the old walls. Book ahead to get a table on the patio.

One of our party was in a wheelchair, and the staff were super accommodating.

The food was amazing, and the paella was absolutely delicious. I 100% recommend eating here. The staff was so lovely, told us about the history of the building, and was truly kind.

We’ve just had a very bad experience with this restaurant. The food and the welcome were ok but the staff is inexperienced and above all the restaurant is not at all commercial.
Our waitress spilt a freshly served coffee (very hot!) on me (see photo).
The waitress apologized, she was looking quickly for another coffee, but nobody came to help us clean the table, my shorts, tee-shirt and my arms. It’s our next table neighbors that gave us their towels to wipe the mess. Someone from the service just came to offer us a “magic cleaning product” to try cleaning it.

That was us (!!) who asked the waitress to bring back clean napkins for our (charming) neighbors.

That’s life, no significant problem on my body but a (designer) t-shirt needs a dry cleaner service.
When we asked for the bill, we expected at the very least a commercial gesture. To our surprise, the bill was complete. When the person came to collect, we pointed out to her that the least he could have done would have been to offer us something or to pay for the dry cleaning costs. The person couldn't do anything, and above all didn't decide to go and check with the restaurant management for any kind of gesture. She simply cashed us by apologizing again for the incident.

Naturally, we paid the full bill and thanked our neighbors, who were also shocked by this unprofessional, non-commercial and, above all, rude attitude.
We have had similar incidents in the past in Spain, Italy or US and naturally the restaurant management offered us up to the full dinner (even though this is not what we were asking for this evening).

We have contacted the restaurant management to inform them of this comment on Google and of this incident in the expectation of a subsequent commercial gesture as we are leaving Majorca tomorrow.

They accommodated us without a reservation on the night with a warm welcome. Julia was an amazing waitress, she recommended delicious plates and advised for gluten free options which were great! Quality of the food, service and price were excellent! Would definitely recommend!

Nice meat, but ... we ordered ox on hot stone. Everything was cooked by the waIter. Could hardly stop him not to overdo it. Then the second part remained cooked on the tray and got cold by the time to eat it.

Not professional at all.

When the place is full, they can't attend customers properky any more. Hence avoid in high season!
Visited for lunch and The food was okay, a little bland if I'm being honest. Prices are not too bad considering it's in the centre of the old town. The seating felt cramped. Overall 3/5

Very good place to have a great dinner with wonderful staff and very welcoming patron Mateo.
Take the Galician Beef Chop 1Kg if you want to feel the real taste of meat.
Thank you for your hospitality.

I can’t give a review on food as I’ve always just had coffees at this place, however service seems very friendly and is quite fast and efficient. I love the location of this place, but in my opinion, it’s the very same location which creates an imbalance between price and quality. I wasn’t personally moved to try food here, but I would go back for plain drinks. So I recommended it for drinks or a coffee.

We really liked the service, genuine and attentive - and the romantic atmosphere and music in a very intimate internal patio. This is a great place for couples but also for friends and families with children who aren’t hyperactive and need space to run.
We were genuinely happy with our wine choice and the meat.
We personally felt the meat was good - however nothing out of the ordinary, perhaps a bit more salt would have been nice. I wasn’t a fan of the cheesecake because I prefer much more the basque variation. I should have probably tried something else, such as a crema catalana.
Definitely recommended for the meat, the service and the intimate setting.
Good food but very expensive taking in account what we ate.
Service it’s very poor. Attended by four different waiters/waitresses and so order got confused .
It’s been 3 years since we’ve last been here. Back then we had a wonderful time/ dinner and today it didn’t disappoint again. Tasty food not to expansive to our opinion, simple children’s menu’s, elegant dishes and very friendly staff. Strongly recommend the tuna it’s delicious!
Best aperol spritz ever! Perfect ratios, huge glass the size of my head and lovely staff! Great place for drinks. Sangria fab too!

Just opposite Carrer de la Cisterna, this busy tiny bistro with people-watching streetside is Spanish culture in a single panorama. We enjoyed a full-bodied Sangria (I wish I had their recipe) with bread and aoili to start.
Our Pa'amb oli Mallorca tapas arrived - a local sausage like nduja spiced with honey on a brown bread - along Patatas Bravas crispy and toasted.
Their paella carne was the perfect size, rich and juicy with rocket freshening the taste and included sweet, charred peppers although we were missing chorizo in our pan.
Honestly a postcard from Mallorca!!!

It was one of the best restaurants in Mallorca. If you want to try paella, try it here. The staff was very welcoming and nice, everyone was smiling and the atmosphere was extremely friendly. If you have a chance to sit in the patio inside, do it, a great escape from the sun, with fresh air in the shade.

Just had an unforgettable dining experience at Sa Romana. This gem of a place serves up truly authentic Italian cuisine that can't be missed. The starters and pasta main dishes were nothing short of spectacular - a burst of flavor with every bite. To top it off, the service was excellent; attentive, warm, and prompt. And let's talk about the ambiance! It's got a unique vibe and outstanding character that sets it apart. Honestly, it's such an extraordinary place that I won't be surprised if it becomes a Michelin-starred restaurant soon. A must-visit when you're on the island!
This restaurant was simply magical. Family run - Gal and her Father delivered an impeccable experience. Seated in the garden, they even managed to coax any mosquito to disappear with one spray of something! The Italian menu was perfect (simple yet divine). The wine list offered great choice and value. It was the highlight meal of our week long visit to Alcudia. Treat yourself to this special place!! It’s not the fastest service but that was also part of its unhurried charm.

One of the best Caesar Salad I’ve ever had! 🥗 I think it was the cheese that made it so yummy. The Seafood Paella was decent too, the seafood was so fresh 🥘
The staff is friendly. The selection of drinks is limited. However, this may be due to the fact that what many on social media refer to as the rooftop bar is simply the hotel's small rooftop terrace. The view is definitely worth seeing. You buy drinks downstairs in the restaurant and then take the hotel's lift up. There is no catering on the roof itself. The décor is Spatanic and lacks ambience.

It's a nice place to have dinner. Nice atmosphere and ok food. Touristic place and price higher than usual for this reason.
Lack of attention in small things. No tonk/spoon to grab/scoop food from a platter to share. Not even wipes. We ordered shelf fish.
Little things that would have made difference!
Sa Mossegada in Alcudia's old town surpassed all our expectations and treated us to an unforgettable dining experience. The moment we stepped into the restaurant, we were greeted with genuine warmth and received top-notch service throughout our visit.

The restaurant's Mediterranean-inspired atmosphere offers a choice of seating areas, both equally captivating. We opted for a table in the front, where we could soak in the lively ambience and indulge in some people-watching. However, I couldn't help but be captivated by the enchanting walled courtyard at the back, adorned with twinkling lights, creating an utterly magical setting for a romantic dinner.

The service at Sa Mossegada was outstanding. The attentive staff effortlessly struck the perfect balance between attentiveness and allowing us to enjoy our meal at a leisurely pace. Their friendly demeanour and knowledgeable suggestions added to the overall charm of the experience.

Now, let's talk about the food. Sa Mossegada specializes in Spanish and Mallorca cuisine, and their expertise shines through every dish. We opted to try their mixed paella, which turned out to be a culinary masterpiece. The portion size was generous, ensuring we had plenty to savour. Each spoonful revealed the authentic flavours of Spain, transporting us to the sun-soaked shores of Mallorca. We paired our meal with a bottle of local red wine, elevating the experience even further.

The restaurant's location on the pedestrian streets of Alcudia's old town is nothing short of picturesque. Sa Mossegada seamlessly blends into the charm and character of the area, allowing guests to fully immerse themselves in the local ambience.

I must note that while the staff was attentive and eager to enhance our experience, there were moments when their enthusiasm felt slightly overwhelming. They enthusiastically recommended additional dishes, even though we were already content after devouring the delightful paella.

I've attached a photo from our visit, capturing the inviting atmosphere of Sa Mossegada. It's a place that perfectly balances an authentic Spanish dining experience with the comforts of a warm, welcoming environment.

In conclusion, I highly recommend Sa Mossegada to anyone seeking an extraordinary culinary journey in Alcudia's old town. With its welcoming ambience, attentive service, and mouth-watering Spanish and Mallorca dishes, this hidden gem truly delivers an unforgettable experience. Whether you choose to dine indoors or bask in the romantic courtyard, Sa Mossegada is guaranteed to leave a lasting impression.
Setting was absolutely beautiful within the old wall of the town. Staff were very friendly, food was amazing and plenty of it
Absolutely fantastic food. I got the vegan paella and it was delicious. The sangria is also great. The view is gorgeous and the waiter was lovely. My friend is celiac and so is the chef so the food was very accommodating.

We came here to grab some lunch since the reviews seemed to be good.
We ordered the grilled prawns, the bread with tomato and the chicken croquettes.

We were happy with the swift service. The food on the other hand was not worth the price and I would not come again.

The prawns were tasty, had a decent size but were overpriced (22€ for 8 prawns).

The tomato bread didn't taste like a lot but was ok for the price of around 3-4€.

The croquettes were fine, had a good temperature but were overpriced. We paid maybe 12€ for about 6 croquettes.

Don't take the tapas menu. Most ingredients were not fresh. The staff
l were not too happy to serve.
Dog friendly. They even let dogs to go inside(we stayed outside). The waiter and the atmosphere at the terrace was very nice. The cappuccino wasn’t so good and they could do better.

We loved the tapas for two for 12.50€ in this quiet cosy place a bit off the main food court of the Old Town of Palma. The beer was local and off the tap, the red sangria was amazing and our kid liked the fries which came with ketchup and mustard mayo. The restaurant seems to have good steaks and mains, but we were here only for a small bite. Next time. The bill was reasonable 30€ for starters, 2 alco drinks & 1 very excellent americano coffee. They do have lunch specials for 10-11€ as well. The service was super friendly; lavatories were a bit old, but clean; wheelchair access is possible, but there is a small step to get inside. Nice and quiet even with people passing by. Recommended for after you’ve done the shopping/scenic tour of the small streets of old town.

The young lady seated us, she was very kind and informative. The chefs tapas was great, huge portion, good service.
The restaurant looked great, the location was amazing, the staff was really friendly and kind. The serving was very good but the main disadvantage was food. We had chef’s tapas and these were let’s say almost tasty. Beside that, I had Ravioli - pasta did not seemed to be fresh and the filling was weird to say the least; 2 portions of paella - one with fish and one with chicken; rice was tasteless and bland; chicken was too little (under 100g for sure). For a group of four, only one of us was happy with his food - something with cuttlefish. The staff was very nice, but the food was very bad.
Nice restaurant with a hidden tables in the back. Then you come away from the street and it is calm. We had to wait for the menus and then we had to wait again before we could order. The staff was busy at lunchtime and they had not expected that many customers. But they were friendly and the food was good.

It’s a nice restaurant in Alcudia old town, with a few tables outside where we were lucky to sit, and quite lovely inside too. The traditional tapas and some other dish combinations are available on the menu. Overall the food was fine, but not that exciting so I would not go back. Some dishes were nice, some where basic in both flavour and texture. The worst patatas bravas I’ve had on the island, but the garlic prawns were delicious!

The service was attentive on most occasions and really friendly, but it took ages to pay.

Booking in advance is advised.

We ate one time for lunch and one time for dinner at the Basico Gastrobar.

On this two occasions we had Caesar salad, gourmet croquettes, bread with vegetables, the paella and the squid rings Andalusian style.

The salad was good but with too little chicken, the bread with vegetables was okay but nothing special, the squid rings were just alright and tasted like normal fried squid rings. Now the paella looked good, smelled good but the taste was not overly great, but it was not bad. It just tasted alright.
The gourmet croquettes tasted great and were definitely the highlight.

The price is a bit too much for what is offered and the service is okay.
Stopped here for coffee and almond cake. Great service took our order immediately and were very efficient and friendly. Plenty of umbrellas to keep us out of the sun.

Located in the center of old town Alcudia, this restaurant offers a large selection of tapas, fish, and meat dishes. Outdoor seating in the alley or in the covered courtyard. All our dishes were delicious. Fast and friendly service.
It didn't start very well: malfunctioning Covid pass check (our passes were valid), handed only the standard menu (we had to ask for the lunch snacks one). Thankfully the baguette sandwiches were really good, enjoyed on a lovely sunny terrace.
Really tasty food and a good selection for most tastes. The service was personal, friendly and just what we hoped for. They had time for the customer and making a bit of fun with our children. Thank you!

Fantastic place! Called in on a very hot day and sat outside in the courtyard patio (with a giant fan facing us). We ordered the mixed tapas and mixed grilled seafood. Both were very decent portions and tasted extremely good. In addition we order a cocktail (best Long Island Ice Tea we’ve ever had) and non-alcoholic beer, and finished it off with an affogato. The two waiters were served us were very friendly. Would definitely recommend this place.

Went on a busy market day on 26th Sept 17 and were shown a table fairly quickly. While they were busy I thought the service wasn't too bad considering although looking at other tables, I feel that because my daughter speaks fluent Spanish that perhaps we were served rather more quickly. We shared a large tapas platter and there was plenty of bread on the table. The food was beautiful and of a really high quality and the house wine was equally good. At 22 euros including the wine, I felt it was good value and would definitely recommend. I never mind a bit of a wait while on holiday anyway, after all what's the rush when you can enjoy the ambience and watch the world go by with a crisp glass of Spanish vino blanco.

Slow, but friendly English speaking stuff. Not expensive and good food. Coming 16:30 is OK here, no siesta. We tried Paella and fish soup. Bread and aioli sauce was given to us free and as a nice surprise at the and is some liqure on frozen glass.
