The food was really delicious. The staff were all gentle and kind, and the restaurant atmosphere was excellent. They provided free Wi-Fi, and the restroom was very clean. I also ordered more food to go because it was so delicious. I highly recommend it to everyone visiting Petra!

If I could give this 0 stars i would. They are thieves. They tried to charge us 18JOD for a gatorade (the price was not on the menu and all other soft drinks were 3). The nextdoor shwarma place sells shwarma for 3jod and they tried to charge 12.

Also when getting frustrated the man said dont cry and also spat at me and my brother.

To think this might be the first impression of Jordan for a lot of travellers is so sad.
The place is really authentic. We had coffee and desert. Both of them were worth it.

Absolutely my fault for not reading the menu carefully before ordering.
This place is a total rip-off! 7JOD for an iced coffee and 14 JOD for a miserable small pizza. Let's not even talk about the taste! Avoid avoid avoid!

Escape from this square of overpriced places! We only stopped by to get a drink after a long walk and we were very disappointed. The only good thing was the service, but 6JOD for a juice is a scam!

Total rip off. Party of 4 who ordered mint and lemon drink cost was 34JD.
Equating to 8.50 each. Tasteless and 90%ice.
Tried the same drink at another restaurant and it was only 3JD. It was very refreshing and tasty.

Total scam! Total tourist trap. I should have known better.

I have not eaten all day. It's going on 4 pm and weak and dehydrated from all of that walking. I wasn't thinking right. I just wanted to put something in my stomach.

Food was below average. I was shocked in the end when I got the bill.

Just avoid this place completely.

Ate there for dinner after visiting Petra and the worst food experience we had in Jordan by far, and we were in Jordan for four days. Tourist trap for sure and it's our fault not to read the reviews first. Everything was tasteless and our chicken wrap was dry and bland. Just drive a few minutes up the road to eat. Plus, our party of five cost $178. Very over priced!

The mint lemon drink was decent.

Very nice restaurant with good quality of food and cheap prices.

Best local food with different style of appteizes
Exceptionally welcoming hospitality, great food, and very clean. Thank you for your having me! I will be back soon.
Very nice restaurant situated only 2 minutes from the visitor’s center. We had three lunches at the castle restaurant and the food is excellent, not expensive any the people are very kind and caring. I can only recommend this restaurant. We have tried other fancier places but they were by far not so nice.
After having a terrible experience in a nearby restaurant, it was a joy and relief to sit down on a warm afternoon, and have delicious, fairly priced fresh food, and welcoming service. I recommend this place for both lunch and dinner, when you can leave refreshed. We were served by Behaa.

You want a free trip planner for your days in Petra? Come to this restaurant and talk to the owner. He will give you the best tips. Ohh, and the food is great as well. The staff was super gentle. Alert: the doses are big.
Really good portion sizes and tasted heavenly. I had muqlouba and my husband had the mansaf. Staff went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed the food in the traditional way. Fresh juices and the milk shakes were fantastic.

We tried the chicken shwarma yesterday and it was delicious too!!

They gave us complimentary mint tea and desserts, which was a great show stopper to this Petra feast! Really recommend this restaurant!!
I have been coming to Petra Night Restaurant every day since I have been in Petra.
The menu consists of tasty Jordanian food and I really enjoyed the Mansaf since I love lamb.
The restaurant has an outdoor eating area so you can enjoy the view at night while eating, it only adds to the coziness.
The staff are really attentive and friendly who will make you feel welcome. I certainly felt welcomed very time I visited.
I would definitely come again if I ever visit Petra again. Thank you!!
Fantastic food with a variety of options such as kababs and even camel burgers. Good seating and is very cool. Not hot serving as a means of escape from the harsh heat. One downside is we did not receive the water we requested. But overall very good food and would recommend it.
Ordered 2 chicken wraps to go at 5:50pm
(14JOD). Not much customers in store... but it took them 30+ minutes to finish... plus, they claimed the credit card machine is "broken." Oh well, can't find one good thing there!
#1 Jordan restaurant of 16 tried. Best pizza in 52 years! My motives and facts. We ordered diner: pizza chicken and pizza Vegi and coke (zero+regular). Later that day additional 'american' coffee and 'mint' tea.
(1) the softdrinks are really cold;
(2) the pizza was super hot (not luckwarm) fresh out of the oven and very tasty (my first 100/100 rating for my best pizza ever!)
(3) the pizza was -as ordered- crunchy;
(4) the bottom of the pizza was NOT burned at all;
(5) extreme friendly staff speaking english and arabic;
(6) the pizza is made customized without any charges;
(7) the pizza is normal sized and fits in normal size box;
(8) the vegetable's are fresh prepaired and cut;
(9) some vegatables are fresh 'live' picked from present plants;
(10) prepparation of meals takes place in an open and clean kitchen;
(11) they use clean purified water (not tabwater);
(12) the pizza is cut (for free);
(13) when you order spicy pizza, you get (real) spicy pizza, because of fresh pieces of chilipeppers;
(14) gluten free meals are prepaired with special caution/measurements;
(15) free tea and pleasant conversation while you wait for takeout;
(16) busy place but off-season no need for reservation;
(17) american coffee and miny tea are excellent and fresh
(18) prices on menu are tax-included;
(19) prices are under average to neighboring restaurants;
(20) a pleasant outdoor terrace is available;
(21) several vegi-choices;
(22) free parking in front of restaurant or within 20 meters
Located on the outer bend of the tourism road, Oriental restaurant is easily picked because they're advertising with camel meat.

A simple yet effective grill room, Oriental was staffed by a mere two people working as hard as they can to satisfy our group.

The Menu consists mostly of meat dishes. Burgers, kebab, pizza etc. The real deal here though, is the camel.
What does camel taste like? I'd say it's lean beef with a hint of lamb. Some say it's lamb with more fat. You decide.

Price wise, this place is a nice cheap place for dinner.
One of the worst food experiences of our lives. The shawarma chicken was cold and hard. Dry as the Jordanian desert. The burgers came out of the supermarket freezer section and the one dessert we ordered was quite soggy. The fries smelled and tasted of stale oil as well. I informed the owner of it while paying the bill and he didn’t even ask what the issues were. He just said that I was the first one to complain. It was overall the worst. I left hungry and the others just ate because we were so exhausted and hungry after the trek in Petra earlier that day.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

If I could give 0 stars I would. Call it how you like it: tourist trap, scam, daylight robbery. Absolutely sad and disappointing that such a business is allowed to operate at Petra’s visitor center and abusing its visitors. No menus are available, and what seems a normal meal will cost you an eye. Two pizzas, and two drinks 65 JDs.

Recommend! Maqluba (chicken, yellow rice and vegetables, yogurt on the side) was so delicious, we went back the 2nd night for the Mansaf (lamb with white rice, yogurt sauce on side.) Portion was big enough to share 1 dish. Cappuccino was also quite good!
This place is horrible if I could give it zero stars I would. We asked for mixed grill the meat was frozen and old came out within 10 minutes. Very Chewy and old. Customer service was just as bad. We had to get up and go to the staff to get their attention. And when we complained about the food he was very rude and said that we were the only ones to ever complain. We showed him the meats and he felt that it was frozen. Probably been frozen for very long time. I wouldn’t trust their 5,4, and even 3 star reviews. Also they change prices on you depending on your nationality.

Be careful! before sitting down you have to ask the price of what you want to take: very expensive prices, a real tourist trap. We took three lemon and mint juices and paid 25.200 jod equal to 32.00 euros! In my opinion it is a shame to take advantage of tourists in this way!
1 Hour wait for them to bring out the wrong food. Few minutes after that for the waiter to ask our order again and if we want another item that's ready. We said no and he said okay your food will be out in a few minutes more and then came out one more time to ask my order. Then two burgers came out completely raw inside. Terrible service and food.
Sie haben einen rießiegen Menü, aber wenn man was bestellen möchtet, gibt es nur Gerrichte von Hähnchenfleisch. Ambiente ist sehr traditionel, aber dass ist das einzigste was man belohnen kann

Everybody was so helpfull. The dish was excelent, both liked it. 100% reccomend it. Lot of traditional foods. Mine was Shakshuka.
Amazing place. If you walk to the Monestry you must go a little further, I think there is the sign End of the World. This place is so nice with stunning view. There is so quite, relaxing. Take the tea at this place, for me it was the best tea I tried in Jordan. The man there is friendly we talk for a while he actually live there. I highly recommend this place.
Very nice Mansaf dish and overall experience! Very nice fresh lemon juice !!!! The interior is so unique!

Very nice place to chill and eat after a long walk around petra, the food was fantastic and flavoursome. Service by abdul was on form and helpful with the menu/food suggestions, so much so i changed my meal on his advice and enjoyed it thoroughly. There are many different seating areas inside and outside so take your pick on where to sit. Will go back again and definitely recommend this restaurant😊👍

After walking for 8 hours from the back door of Petra to the Front door (approx 10km) we were famished and had 2 x pizza, 2 x beer, 2 x coffee. That cost 61JD. Service was good but it’s another vendor on the Petra site who basically exploits the tourist to the max. As others have recommended, buy outside the gates of Petra, you’ll probably eat tastier food for significantly less.
We tried the camel kabab, the taste was ok nothing special and the meat portion was minimum, pizza was good, we were expecting the Bedouin tea to be freshly made but it was just a tea bag in hot water
Staff was very polite and insightful. I got the Grilled Chicken Lebanese (1st picture). It was very flavorful and would definitely recommend. Other people in my party ordered the Sajeyeh, which comes in a very large portion and was highly recommended (2nd picture). Someone also ordered the beef kabobs which were also very good (3rd picture).

Overall great food and would say it is worth the tourist price. (Around 12JD per plate)

The food here wasn't the best but also not the worst. It is okay for a lunch spot.
I would only recommend that you agree the price of the food very clearly as I got charged at least 30% more than what I ordered. They get you at the end.

The food wasn’t bad but not great. Service wasn’t bad. The issue is it is a tourist trap. They charged us 42 JOD for 2 people to eat lunch. We also never got to see a menu to see what the prices were suppose to be. We walked in and asked if they had shawarma and mansaf and they said yes and sat us down. Nothing special about this place. We ordered a shawarma and mansaf to split with a bottle of water. Very surprised when they told us what the bill was. Walk down the road a little bit and have better food for less than half the price

ordered vegetable soup. They brought up noodle soup and the bean soup. I confront waiter. He made all kinds excuse for the wrong soup. And I think that it’s not honest.
The kind of pizza for pizza lovers! Delicious, great looking, hot and easy to share with the family. Looks just as good as in the other photos, attaching mine for proof.
And the service was excellent!
Fantastic landscape and relaxing point out of the crowd with a very nice owner
Delicious food, and hospitable staff and must dine in there and lunch . Much of varieties of lamp , beef and vegetarian dishes

They upped their prices a bit but the pizza was great. If you like thick and greasy pizza I'd recommend.
9 JDs for a Margarita pizza? And thats not even in Amman!

The pizza tastes terrible for its price, I mean I would pay 3-4 JDs max for this pizza, but not 9!

The dough is basically a pastry dough, not a pizza dough, sauce is bland, and the mozzarella thats been used is the cheapest you can get.

typical scam of Petra. they block a great view with a restaurant and demand people to order to see the view. not to mention trying to sell the tourists "real" ancient artifacts for hundreds of euros even though you can buy similar stuff at any souvenir shop around Petra

I wanted to give them a chance. I am so disappointed. They wanted to over charge me. The food was not close to food. It is a tourist trap!!!! Be aware that you will not eat good and you will pay extremely high prices. If you want to ate good and with a "tourist" price just walk a bit more to the Guest Hotel. They have an good restaurant called The Cave. At least the prices and the good are better.!!

Delicious local food and very friendly and helpful staff. We had dinner here on our first night in Wadi Musa and decided to come back the next day. We really loved the food and enjoyed the experience and a nice little chat with the manager. Make sure to check out the room at the back as well.
We were starving on the way back from Petra. Didn't want to pay the overpriced dishes inside the visitors center, that is why we went for a walk around Wadi Musa. Found the Red Cave restaurant and sat there for a quick lunch. The serving were huge and delicious. Reasonably priced. The toilet was clean, the staff were polite. They gave us free humus, however in the end we overpaid for some things which we weren't sure why!?
Had a great breakfast experience here today with Omar. He catered to all of our needs. My wife has a sesame allergy and he was able to get her food that was not cross contaminated. Very grateful for Omar’s attentiveness.

Omar provided wonderful service. Perfect stop for lunch after a big day
We had a great time here after a long trail in Petra. The service was amazing, staff here is nice and polite, so we felt here very comfortable. The food was also great, we had a soup of the day, which was delicious, main courses were also very good quality and big portions, so be aware ;) We like sharing food, so it wasn't an issue for us... we also get a nice bonus, small dessert (cakes) on the house...so we were leaving very full and happy with an amazing experience. This place deserve definitely a higher rates!
Omar and Ahmed were very kind! It was a great place to stop by for a drink after our day in Petra!

Ordered a cappuccino - not sure what we got but it was delicious. Took a star off because we had asked if we could pay by card when we arrived, however by time to check out they no longer had a card reader and told us to go to an atm
If you've make it to the Monastery, take 5 more minutes to get up here and enjoy one of the best views in Petra.
Actually really good food. You gotta get the mansaf and shawarma when in Jordan. Indoor and outdoor searing with good views of sunset and centrally located. Prices are above average but comparable to all the restaurants in the area.
Food Quality: the food is quite decent. Hummus really good, but this seems to be a general thing in this area.

Portions: they are ok, maybe just on the border of satisfying. I could have definitely used a bit more french fries.

Drinks: decent choices

Price: $$ not too bad, but for this price could have had a bit bigger portions.

Service: friendly guy took our order

Atmosphere: very relaxed and not noisy. World cup game was on so most people’s attention was on the TV.

Highlights: hummus

Things to improve: would be great that the french fries were not frozen, or at least a bit more on the plate
We really enjoyed the view and the tea. Everyone was very friendly and we felt comfortable. We had a good talk.

Worst experience I’ve ever had in a restaurant. It’s 100% a tourist trap. We asked if they had Kunafa and they said they will bring us Kunafa then the guy that seated us asked if it’s ok to bring us baklava in case they don’t have Kunafa, we said ok.

He brought us some stale store bought Arabic sweets as they called them and a beer which they failed to mention it was alcohol free.

The prices are 10x (not exaggerating) bigger than places with super good food. In case you’re wondering why we stayed if it was that expensive it’s because they don’t give you a menu unless you insist on it and we thought “how expensive could some sweets be”.

Horrible, horrible, horrible place. They lure people in by saying they have beer, they don’t say it’s alcohol free.

If I could give less than one star I would.

DO NOT go here no matter what.

A cute little coffee shop with lovely views, excellent coffee, delicious breakfast egg and cheese panini, as well as fresh fruit juices. Our server Tariq is not only a timid cutie but is a welcoming server/barrister. Great spot for a breakfast in Wadi Rum.
After a day in Petra we ate a big good pizza at Hanisons. Decent pizza with good toppings. Prices are very reasonable. Possibility to sit inside and outside. Its on the second floor of a small city mall. Friendly staff.
The food is of high quality, especially for the low prices, the amount of traditional vegetarian dishes was very satisfying
Fast, Free wifi, good size pizza, dry pizza ( not fall of wet pizza). Enough cheese. Pricing M around 6jod L 10 jod photo is M pepperoni and bbq chicken. Best pizza in town?

Fantastic location, this! Whereas the staff is really helpful, the atmosphere is pleasent. Making their consumers happy is clearly their first focus because they are knowledgeable and articulate about what they do. Some of the Italian classics food on the menu are rather wonderful, and they are well worth the pricing.

Tourists trap…the food is very low quality and the flavours are not ok, almost unbeatable! What they hummus can be anything apart of hummus. Also the staff is a bit cheeky they sale no-alcohol beers as a normal beer, but they don’t tell you at all.
You see from the pictures that the food looks beautiful, it is a such shame that the taste is no up to what you would expect, because the place is quiet cool.
Incredible service! Deàa Treated us like family! We got to the restaurant around breakfast time and they accommodated us to have lunch. They are extremely nice and helpful!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Definitely worth a visit, delicious (and very big) pizza for a very reasonable price. The staff is extremely nice and made me feel very welcome ✌️
We were twice and very happy with the options we tried. Firstly we ate several jordan dishes, very tasty and a lot of food. Secondly, we tried “occidental” food, pasta and pizza. They were not the best I tried in my life but they were quite good to be cooked in a Jordan’s restaurant! Also they invite people to a superb dessert: coconut pastry. Very nice and kindly stuff and very good prices. Go and try!
