This place is popular from reviews, but the food is not great. It’s mediocre at best. Here you are paying for the great atmosphere, which I will admit is beautiful. The reason for my 2 stars and not 1.
If you are a tourist looking for great tasting food, I would recommend a lot of other places for the price you pay here. I have tried this place 3 times and unfortunately my opinion hasn’t changed but has gotten worse.
The 2 of us spent S/150+ here for dinner. We had the focaccia bread, Fettuccine Alfredo with steak, and the lasagna. Very classic and simple Italian dishes. The focaccia was soaking in oil, not the typical amount oil you normally find in this style of bread. The Alfredo was okay and the steak was good except for the fact we had to be sent back 3 times since is was basically raw, only for the final time sending it back they cooked it beyond well done. The lasagna tasted like it was seasoned with water as it had no flavor.
The best tasting thing here was the Kola Escocesa that came out of a bottle.
We thought it might have been a mistake so we brought the issues and concerns to the server. They said it’s not their problem if the food isn’t good and we are paying for everything even though 2 of the dishes weren’t even touched. After, we waited 45mins for a check and had to go ask. If they were willing to work with us, I would given a kinder review. However, some places deserve the review they get.
Here is my honest review.

Currently sipping a yummy passion fruit juice, wearing a traditional poncho (they’ll offer em for free at night), and mesmerized by the most PHENOMENAL sunset over the basilica catdral de arequipa.
Did not order their food but my friend enjoyed her steak.
Great post-colca canyon trek spot to chill at with 3 other fellow solo travelers. Really wonderful staff and service as well. It’s my last night in this beautiful town - definitely the best way to end my time here :)

What a great place, and the food was delicious, also can’t express how happy I was about Elias service, he was great, made our dinner experience very enjoyable! They let us barrow some ponchos and Elias took amazing pictures of us with the nice view!

Loved this place! Went alone & were able to skip the line in front of the restaurant & got a seat at a small cafe table. The pizza & the peruvian wine from Arequipa were delicious. Asked the waiter for his opinion on the rose, so he offered me to taste the two options before ordering. The chocolate cake was tasty as well. Also, never saw the bill presented in an old book. Highly recommend this restaurant!

wow! best pizza margarita I ever ate in my life!! the service is really kind and helpful & the food is amazing. Chicken Masala was also an absolute hit.

The food! The cocktails! The service! The vibes! All a 10/10! We came two nights in a row because the Copoazu Sour was so good. Truly the best workers we’ve experienced in Latin America, so kind and welcoming.
Staff, Maru , was wonderful. We arrived early for dinner. They were very accommodating and friendly. Good choices and varieties. Drinks were wonderful, specifically the Pico Sour. Food was a little slow in arriving, but we had our drinks. The view of the sunset, with the cathedral in the foreground, splendid.
Incredible dinner! Everything tasted amazing. The bread that came with my pasta was my favorite surprisingly. Very friendly service. Our waiter Javier made a memorable night for us :)

Good Italian restaurant with new and authentic recipes. The pasta portion are quite small compared to what you would normally get - in Italy or elsewhere in the world. Therefore 4 instead of 5 stars. Rest is great, fine staff, great atmosphere and they even have Italian wines!
The restaurant has a really nice atmosphere and can get quite busy so I recommend getting their WhatsApp number and booking ahead of schedule.
I ordered the lasagna which was good and the sourdough garlic bread was delicious.
The only reason I knocked off a star is because the service can be a little slow, and the waiter incorrectly charged me when using the card machine.

Amazing restaurant, the Peruvian/Italian fusion dishes were extraordinary and service was fantastic.

We had a wonderful dinner here! We had one dish that was absolutely outstanding (Peruanisimo) and one that was good (ossobucco). Highly recommend getting the Peruanisimo!! The atmosphere is romantic and calm. They have a huge variety of wines. We spent 120 soles but probably would have spent more if we weren’t on a budget!

Very friendly service and even though I hadn’t had any food, just beers, it’s amazing to be there around sunset. Be aware that you can burrow a poncho to take a picture from the rooftop, and everybody at the terrace wants to take pictures. Of course, because the view is amazing 🤩

Wonderful place. We went for drinks and the sunset but stayed back for dinner because the staff was so welcoming and friendly. The hostess does an amazing job managing the chaos right around sunset when tables are scarce and everyone is jostling to take pictures. The ponchos are super welcoming since it chills quickly in the evening.
The pizza was bursting with flavor, and the drinks were equally impressive. The service was top-notch, with attentive and friendly staff ensuring a pleasant dining experience. My favorite restaurant in Arequipa, phenomenal Pizza and pasta and great drinks. But the absolute best thing about this place is the service. Joaquin and Luis were absolutely astounding, they provided what can only be described as interstellar service.
One of the best meals we've had in Arequipa. We both got Alpaca, I had the steak with smoked cheese and my fiancé had the alpaca Lomo saltado. Presentation and portions were great. Service was good and we were lucky enough to have the restaurant completely to ourselves

We savored the Straciatella, Arequipeño Adobo Ravioli, and Salsa Chupe de Camarones, opting for fettuccine. Every bite was a burst of deliciousness. Que pasó⁉️He regresado después de un año. Fatal, osea no estaba fea. Si hubiera pedido chuleta no había problema. Pero esperaba una carne a la parrilla como antes, tenía aderezo la carne. Ni sabor a leña tenía. Fatal fatal se me cayó 😞

El gaucho ya no es lo que era hace una década y más atrás, sobre la carne no hay quejas, pero que tengas que comprar las guarniciones y ensaladas aparte en todas sus opciones es innecesario, el local es pequeño y ahora hay más opciones para comer una buena parrilla.
Excelente la parrilla doble. El mozo que nos atendió muy amable, atento a lo que necesitábamos.

This is a fantastic auto restaurant and is a great value. Service was friendly and prompt. The restaurant is very clean. The food is plated well and taste great.
J'étais allée dans ce restaurant il y a deux ans pour manger du cochon d'Inde et j'avais adoré l'endroit, avec sa terrasse, ses tables nappées. J'y suis retournée et la cuisine est toujours aussi bonne.

Great place. We had the first and best cuy of our stay (ordered it 'chactado'). Prices are fair, service is effective (although I wouldn't say friendly) and decoration makes great use of the setting at an ancient building. Loved it!

The steak rib was incredible, cooked for 4 hours. The whole meal with appetizers and dessert was about the cost of eating at Applebee's. Now that's eating good in the neighborhood!
Loved the experience. The food was really something out of the box, It was delicious. The service was always helpful. I would recommend it a must go if you come to Arequipa.
The restaurant has a great atmosphere, very professional and friendly staff. The food came very fast and was delicious! Even though we don't speak Spanish and mistakenly ordered something we didn't expect, it turned out to be very tasty!
The place is beautiful, you can enjoy dinner watching the entire square of Arequipa. I ordered a shrimp chupe for dinner and it was very tasty, you have to visit this restaurant if you come to Arequipa - Peru.
A pleasent evening with a few beers - not cold at first but solved with some ice. Very tasteful and smart decor. Our waitress was very sweet despite my limited Spanish. The Trout salad was unusual and tasty. The hamburger had good fries but the beef was overdone and too dry. We finished with two large and lovely Calcinos. 🍸🍸

We received 1 starter and then at 10-20 minute intervals received our 3 of our 4 mains with our drinks coming every so often throughout this period.
We then received our second starter as the 3 of us finished our mains which we could not eat at this stage.
Half of the sides for the 4th main came and 10 minutes later we then received the 4th main with the other half of sides. Both sides were cold (first was hot when delivered but cold by the time the main was received). We asked where the other main was aprox. 25 mins after the 3rd was received and almost instantly it was delivered.
The food was amazing but unfortunately it was delivered in such an unorthodox and untimely manner.
The waitress at the time seemed to lack training and confidence (which is not at all her fault).
After complaining the starter which came extremely late and half of the main with cold sides was removed from the bill.

This Italian restaurant in Arequipa is one of my favourite restaurants anywhere. The design of the restaurant is stunning and the food is amazing. A beautiful UNESCO-listed family home turned into a restaurant is a formula for an incredible and surreal dining experience. The staff was friendly and the excellent food and drinks made for an amazing evening in Arequipa.
Mumis was a great dining experience for us. The ravioli was especially delicious. Throughout, the restaurant is very clean with a pleasant atmosphere. Service was attentive and gave helpful recommendations for dishes to try. I definitely recommend this restaurant!

La parrilla estuvo buena, la atencion fue buena amable, hubiera sido bueno un poco más de ensalada en el plato pero en general el servicio fue bueno
Vine con espectativas altas ya que leí las opiniones pero mi opinión es que la carne estaba salada y sin mucho sabor y cruda por partes ; lo único rescatable fueron las papas y el jugo de piña ,por lo demas salsas y ensalada pasables ,algo adicional no cuentan con servilletero y la atención muy rapida.
Absolutely amazing! Me and 2 friends came in pretty late and the doors were locked and they were definitely winding down for the night letting guests leave, but without hesitation they let us in and sat us. Our server was absolutely amazing and we loved to chat with him. The food was absolutely stellar, I have not had a steak or mashed potatoes that good in sooo long, the red wine and bacon sauce was just amazing. The burger and fries that my friend ate was also a 10/10 according to them as well as the Peruvian fettuccine the other ordered. 11/10 experience all around and was not even that expensive for the quality!!!
If money is not an issue I highly suggest this Argentine restaurant (at least their meat and flavours are). They also have an all you can eat salad buffet that I highly recommend you try, and go with the lime dressing.
Beautiful venue that really felt like you were still in the monastery. It was cute and personal, and the service was really attentive. Rodney was great! I'm vegetarian, and the waiter really made an effort to make sure that I could have authentic Arequipan food without the meat 😍 I also had the Tres Leches, and it was one of the best desserts I've ever had- the nun's ancient recipe is a star for a reason!

Importante decir que no es un restaurante económico, sin embargo al ponerlo en balance, pagas el justo precio por lo que te dan. Aquí los complementos se piden aparte y la mesa de ensaladas tiene un precio adicional también.
Las carnes te las preparan al punto que las pides. Muy buena calidad y muy buena atención.

Una excelente opción para comer una buena parrilla a buen precio. Sólo les falta hacer más caso a lo que indican los clientes
No doubt about the 5 stars! We ordered the rocoto relleno to begin with and it’s the best we had during the trip. It’s different than other dried version of Rocoto Relleno we tasted in other restaurants because it was cooked to perfection to be very juicy, and with delicious melted cheese on the top. The traditional cuy chactado is a must try during your Peru trip. It does look a bit scary I might say, but you won’t regret it. The meat tastes somewhat as a mix between a crispy duck and juicy pork. It was super good. We also got the Lomo a lo zingaro, which was great as well.

Fantastic restaurant, a blend of Italiano with Peruvian. The waiter was a legend, un buen hombre. The sangria top notch. I had a milenesa that was massive with beautiful presentation and very delicious flavours with the accompanying sweet and sour black salsa and pasta with pesto. We finished with an array of sample Peruvian and Italian desserts such as tiramisu and 'Sigh of a Limeña' which was A+++. ¡Que viva!
A talented young chef who makes innovative food. We had pork belly and menu of the day which was fish, both were good. Dessert was this amazing ice cream which we had thought was the famous Queso Helado, but we had a few other queso helado's later and none were as good as this one. So perhaps it was a different flavour? Incredibly creamy and rich, worth the extra bit of walk just for the ice cream!

Friendly and relaxed place, good food made with care, rich chocolate cake, tasty queso helado (“cheese” ice cream). Chef Frank chatted with me and he seemed to really care about the experience of his customers.

Fair price, very tastful food, good variety and very nice rooms for the restaurant. For lunch you can also sit outside.

Amazing dinner. Andina Trout and fresh salad with special strawberry vinaigrette made by chef Frank. Absolutely delicious. I highly recommend trying this restaurant for quality ingredients and great, friendly service in a wonderful calm environment.
Delicious food! My partner and I ordered too much but ended up eating it all because it was so delicious. I highly recommend the Piqueo Arequipa- it was very tasty. The service wasn’t great and was a bit slow but then again we don’t speak much Spanish. Would definitely recommend !

Comida deliciosa, su estilo de cocinar las papas para la parrilla estuvieron muy deliciosas y el servicio excelente, no demoraron mucho en traer el pedido

BBB Estoy gratamente impresionada! Fui a comer a las 10:30pm y estaba abierto. Me salvó la vida. La parrilla estuvo buena, sirvieron rápido y de una comimos 2 personas. Regreso de todas maneras.
