This Restaurant recommended by a friend. We ordered Samosa chaat the taste was fine also the food served in cracked bolw. As i loved samosa chaat and tried many times in different places to compare to this they looks nice with special toppings such chatuny, fresh herbs and fried indian noodles However, the lamb dosa was so good.

Food was good. To the person who waited on us- she couldn’t smile, showed stress in her face- to her a bit of an advice from being in the Hospitality industry for 43 years- you may have stress, maybe tired or facing other problems, you should learn to smile and have a pleasant face. That’s how this industry is!

I bought 3 containers of lamb rogan josh via uber eats yesterday. Each container cost $17.99. I also left a message to make the food less oily and requested to make it less spicy, but the food was very oily and spicy. If restaurant decides not to follow the request, why is there an option to leave message? The amount of food in each container was so less that it wasn’t sufficient for even 1 person. The containers mainly contained spicy gravy and oil. Neither I nor any of my friends will ever recommend anyone to order food from your restaurant.
This was the worst experience that I had ever encountered. In my opinion you do not even deserve a review.

We had non-veg meals, food was amazing and very tasty, customer service was very friendly and great atmosphere. Would definitely recommend and will be comming back again

I like the food but the staff are miserable and have no manners, especially the young man. He just says, what do you want and hurrys you. Don't ask him a question!!!!

Usually order on uber eats. Just got my order and got 2 mouthfuls into the butter chicken and picked a hair out of my mouth. Absolutely revolting. Thanks for a spoilt dinner tonight

Fantastic food. Authentic taste and large portions make it ideal for hungry people. Sparse decor and austere atmosphere. The service is quite quick and with a smile. Thanks for a lovely dinner.

Allu parathe ko dheere dheere seka jata hai aur phir oil/butter/ghe brush karke banate hai. Parathe ko oil main tala nahi jaata. Ye harkat puri ke saath karte hain. Anyway :-(

It's important to remember that when you're cooking food, someone is going to eat it. Eating from outside is meant to be a good experience, and unfortunately, you ruined it for me and that too at night 12AM :-(

Still giving you three stars!! because you do justice with a few other dishes.

The quality of the take-away dishes was extremely disappointing, to the point where I would consider giving them a negative rating. Here's a brief breakdown:
- The Dhokla was overly dry.
- The Butter chicken was, without a doubt, the worst I've ever tasted. It was dry, chewy, and drowned in sauce.

Having experienced these two dishes, I'm hesitant to try anything else that comes in those take-away containers.

Today i bought CK biriyani. Worst taste i never had such a biriyani before very bad taste like just color masala mix rice with 2pieces of chicken on it. In top of that i found a big head hair on it. :(( 100% NOT worth for money $$. Hear after i never ever go there for sure.

Had really bad experience with food. Got Poori, Bonda. Poori is the worst i had till now. Curry was oily and not tasty. Only good was pakora which are atleast eatable.
Will not recommend this place for veg.

I would like to share my experience. We went out late in the evening. We were not too hungry though but my partner and me were tired to cook at home and decided to indulge out as we live close by to this place. I would rate this place as follows:

Though overall feel was good but has been lacking in authenticity and taste. We ordered spicy but the added too much of red chilly powder while i was expecting fresh flavor of green chillies. The flavor of schechuan sauce was minimal. That is what I was expecting in triple Schecuan fried rice.

I am fan of their Mysore bonda, but last two times I am completely disappointed with the quality and taste. I believe either the chef/cook who used to make previously gone out of Swagath or they changed the way they prepare Mysore bonda. Whatever it is, the taste and quality is not upto the mark. And chinna punugulu is the worst ever I had. Not fresh at all and taste pathetic.

Sydney's Worst Biryani House - Swagath

I am writing to share my deeply disappointing experience with Swagath Biryani. After hearing so much about your restaurant, we decided to give it a try and ordered samosa, dosa, and Biryani this morning.

While the samosa and dosa were passable, I must express my utter dismay with the Biryani. It was a classic example of "Great cry little wool." Considering the reputation of your brand, I expected nothing short of excellence, but sadly, the Biryani was the worst I have ever tasted.

The portion was meager, and it felt like we were served yellow and white rice with two pieces of chicken. To be honest, I feel I could have purchased 5kg of uncooked rice for the price we paid for this disappointing dish.

Adding to the frustration was the lack of response when we tried to provide feedback over the phone. The owner or representative seemed uninterested in hearing our concerns or taking any necessary actions to address the issue. Instead, we were asked to return the box for a replacement, which only inconvenienced us further.

As a consumer, it is disheartening to see such negligence and indifference from a brand like Swagath Biryani. I don't believe it should be the responsibility of customers to spend their time and petrol in an attempt to improve your product when the owner appears least bothered about making improvements.

In conclusion, I strongly advise others to stay away from Swagath Biryani if they are seeking a good Biryani experience.

Food is good, but quantity sucks. I was their regular customer but i noticed, everytime i went to buy biryani, the amount of chicken and lamb got lower and lower to a point it felt like I was only paying for biryani rice and not any meat in it. Good as one off and if you're lucky, you will get a decent value out of what you pay. Most of them times, you will only be disappointed in terms of value for money.

I recently dined at Mataam Al Mandi and decided to try their mandi with chicken and lamb, which I must say was delicious. The flavors were rich and authentic, leaving me satisfied with each bite. However, I did notice that the red sauce accompanying the mandi was spicier than what I had experienced at other Mandi franchises in Auburn. While I do enjoy a bit of spice, I found it to be a tad overpowering in this case. Personally, I have a preference for the mandi at the Auburn location, where the spice level is more balanced to my taste. Nonetheless, if you are a fan of fiery flavors, Mataam Al Mandi might just be the perfect spot for you.

Delicious Mandi in town, it does take time to get the food but it is worth waiting. We ordered Chicken Mandi (Grill & Spicy). It tastes really good. My wife usually is very picky coming from middle east country but she loved the taste. We will visit them again and will be ordering them for party at home. Must try!

The four of us all absolutely loved the food here! The portion sizes were small for the price, but we thought the quality was worth it.
We also found this to be a nice restaurant to eat-in compared to many of the other restaurants in Wenty that do not have nice interiors and are better for take-away.

Service is something which needs to be streamlined/improved for catering/take aways. I asked for veg but got mutton biryani. During catering, I ordered "ginger and garlic fish" but got "Apollo fish". I was very disappointed !!!! how come so many mistake in one order !!

A south Indian restaurant with a decent variety of items.Reasonable price. Service is very pathetic, we ordered 5 items and the main thing came just before we finished that also after 3-4 times asking, the response was very light. Chicken and mutton biriyani where good mutton curry was below average.

There’s no other food as tasty as Mandi. Delicious authentic middle east Mandi rice and Alfaham chicken.

I don't usually write reviews, so this comes straight from the heart. We have been ordering from Saffron Tree for years, and we kept ordering because they WERE really good. However, lately we ordered from them again. I wish I could give them a NEGATIVE FIVE stars. Maybe we should alter these ratings to include a -5 to a +5 rating. The food was TERRIBLE. The spinach in the curry was smelling as if it was months old, and there was way too much salt in the curry. The meat pieces were boiled and just dropped into the curry, were rubbery and well, absolutely inedible - we discarded most of the curry. The MALAI KOFTA (cottage cheese - paneer) was ALL POTATO. Infact, I am a fairly elaborate cook myself, and therefore, I would bet saying that the MALAI KOFTA was FROZEN HASH BROWNS reshaped into malai koftas. Their food used to be really good quality, therefore it breaks my heart to say that, it feels like Indian restaurants these days do not take any pride into their product, their cooking, and the fact that they represent a cultural tradition that is treasured around the world. I would request - please take some pride in your product - especially because if you charge a whopping big amount of money for an amazingly small amount of food per serving, please take some pride in at least ensuring that it is not gutter food, and it is quality Indian food.

We love Indian food so we have had tried many, many indian restaurants before and this has to be the worst indian food we have ever eaten. We ordered butter chicken, samosa, naan as well as chana masala as takeaway and we were shocked upon trying the food....not in a good way.

The samosas had chemical taste to it and they are super oily. The naan is flavourless and oily and the butter chicken is so sweet you can have it as dessert. The only thing that is decent is the plain white rice. And it wasn't even cheap!

Do yourself a favour and eat somewhere else if you crave Indian food. There are plenty of good ones out there...but not this one.

One of the good Indian Restaurants. Menu has different varieties of Dosas, Idly, Uthapam etc and many more in mains both veg & non veg.
Coming to mains we tried Veg Vulvacharu Biryani 🍚 and Chicken Dum Biryani 🍗 🍚 both are too good 🤤😋 must try dishes.
Also tried Hot and Sour soup 🥣 but not upto the mark 👎🏻.

The only thing didn’t like at rhis restaurant is dining the tables are too close to each other hardly a single person a can walk in between which is not at all comfortable. Little spaciousness between tables is required which makes everyone feel comfortable.

Can get all products. Proud to see our product all the way from Trichy Tamilnadu India to ve stacked in Sydney Udaya racks.. SS Sagar Snacks chikki Peanut candy...

I always buy from them Mandi food, but every time it comes different, sometimes it is very delicious with crispy onions and raisins, sometimes only raisins, and sometimes nothing but rice and meat. The prices have become very high. A thigh of lamb leg costs 30-40, but they sell it for $100. Sometimes the meat is well cooked and you can feel the taste of the mixture and spices. And sometimes the meat comes undercooked well and does not have any taste of spices please fix your stuff !!

I had Chicken and Goat Mandi. Both of them were equally delicious. Rice was aromatic and flavourful. Loved the dips. Overall the food was great. However, ambience of the restaurant is average. But if you just care about the food highly recommend.

Not a bad experience I would say. Limited menu but the food is good at this place...worth the money. We were excited to see family meals being served on large platters...an experience of its kind. Took around 20 minutes for the food to arrive. Spice tea (kawa) is served free of cost...so you can have a couple of sips while waiting for your food to arrive. Felt happy to share from the same plate. The lamb shoulders were well cooked, the chutneys very tasty.

The ambience is not great though. The toilet was unclean too.

I love the food here. It's absolutely amazing. Onion bhaji, desi chicken, lamb bhuna, butter chicken, aloo gobi. These are my recommendations, with Raita and mango chutney. So delicious. This might be the best Indian I've had in Sydney. Highly recommended.

Very poor customer service. The counter girls behave as if it’s a crime to walk in there, don’t know if they discriminate. I never get the papad with meals which is complementary and reply is always “sorry”. Though they give papad to some customers only.

Food quality is okay. But worst customer service - they don't answer properly. There is no please and other courtesy words in their vocabulary.

Curries tastes ok. Their quantity of curry inside the box is not all fair. When asked about the quantity, they were saying that they will only put 3/4th of a box if it’s a dry curry whereas the gravy curry can be given box full, to which I don’t agree. There is no signage of saying so. What so ever, they should put up their price or reduce the box size if they themselves feel like they are giving it for super cheap. The best way is to weigh the curry for a fair pricing. I am a frequent buyer of takeaway food every time but none of them offering unfair quantity like this one. I just collected some evidences in case they are keen to argue with my comment made publicly.

Large, comfortable Indian that's open for lunch. Friendly staff and relatively speedy service. Serving might seem small but once you have it with rice or naan, there's plenty to go round. Great value too.

I usually take mutton curry and home made chicken. They r good, at least I was never disappointed. I liked chicken 65 as well. Can't expect anything like good customer service as it is a takeaway place.
