Food: 5/5. Pizza is so good! I only had the Detroit style so far and it was amazing. Not that I've had a ton of that style, but I can only think of one place that's better, and even then they are practically on the same level. Will definitely come back to try the NY, grandma and Chicago styles sometime.
Service: 5/5. The employee at the counter saw we came in early to pick up our pizza, and he made sure ours was moved up so we could get it sooner. He was polite and professional, and it was getting close to closing, but there was no sense of impatience with the employees.
Atmosphere: only complaint is how small it is. If you go at peak, you likely might not get a seat. It's definitely geared towards takeout. Other than that, is is very clean and everything looks new.

Great variety of sourdough based crusts. We had the NY and grandma’s crust pizzas. Didn’t get a chance to try the Detroit but I’m sure it would have been equally good!
3 pizzas took about 20mins to wait for.
Clean but not a noteworthy interior. We opted to eat at the quiet patio out the back which was pleasant and had shade and sun options for our very late lunch time frame.

Different style of pizza. It was delicious. They have done in option, but we saw most people were doing only take out. There were no servers for the dine in option. But the good pizza trumped everything else!

I may have eaten more pizza in more places than anyone alive. I have traveled around the country for work, for speaking engagements and with my daughter on her national AAU team and everywhere I go, I get the best pizza there is in that area according to Yelp.
In addition I watch videos on pizza making, to learn about the best places in the country and about the way things work on the back of the house. As a result, I know my stuff. And I know what's good, bad and great.
I found out about Blue Square from a Phantom Gourmet video and subsequently another video from a pizza marketing source. I was impressed by the owner Troy and his borderline psychotic obsession with making the perfect dough and sauce. He makes a complex sourdough that he uses for all three varieties of his pizza, Detroit style, Grandma style and classic New York style pizza.
Blue Square is a reference to the particular steel pans used to make Detroit Pizza. That's their bread and butter (or sauce). It's a tiny little spot that's set up primarily for takeout. Just five tables. And two of them are being constantly used to assemble boxes, it's hard to keep up with the demand.
We got a small Detroit and a grandma, both with pepperoni. Both were outstanding. The Detroit was as expected. Thick, airy, light, crispy crust. Top quality cheese and THE best, freshest, most simple, yet flavorful sauce I have had. It came out first and was very impressive. A great pizza, particularly if you enjoy that style. What stood out were the bites that had no sauce. Normally this is not something I enjoy. Even good pizzas don't often have crusts that can stand alone as delicious. This sourdough stood alone as an amazing flavor profile.
Then the grandma came out... and my life has changed forever. I had to spend a little while considering this statement to make sure it wasn't the euphoria or recency bias. It's not. The pepperoni grandma pizza at Blue Square is THE best pizza I have ever had. Literal perfection for it's golden brown, incredible crisp and unbelievably flavorful crust to the top shelf cheese combination to the sauce... OMFG that sauce. As simple as it was flavorful... The best I've ever encountered. It's as fresh as it could be and seems as simple as it could be. It was like Troy took fresh San Marzanos and crushed them up, added some olive oil, a little spice and released this masterpiece into the world. Bright, fresh, brassy, incredible.
That pizza was a 12 out of 10. I can't imagine a better one exists anywhere. And I've been everywhere. Take the trip, hope there is a seat and understand how special this experience is.

Stopped in on the way to Gillette. Loved the pizza and salad. The young gentleman that took our order was great and the one that brought us our food was very nice and courteous!

I often order pizza here and they let me customize my pizza and they are fast and professional! Thank you to the whole team!

I have ordered four times from Hillers and each time there has been an issue with the order of poor food quality. I ordered the head of dinner one time and it was thrown together, and the fish was thrown together. When ordering this evening, one of the sides was a salad and they put a cold salad on hot food and when I called to say something they said that’s how they always do it so unless you’re open for adventure and having your meal messed up don’t Hillers. You better off to go to Domino’s that just opened up in Hopkinton

The pizza I ordered was delicious and she served it right away. It wasn't busy and it was nice to be able to sit inside and enjoy the quiet time.

Fifteen years ago this place was great. The pizza was delicious and slices of several varieties were always available at lunch. I moved away but happened to be in the area and hungry so I stopped in. WHAT A CHANGE, AND NOT FOR THE BETTER. I've never been so disrespected at a place of business in my life. The woman at the counter was yelling at customers, coworkers and delivery people. The atmosphere made me want to leave but I had hope for the food. Sadly, the quality had declined beyond what I could imagine. The grilled chicken salad was expensive and clearly not fresh. An old friend from Hopkinton recently sent me this headline from the Hopkinton Independent in February of this year : "Hillers Pizza owner charged with indecent assault of minor" ...and he is still the owner, FYI.

I had been going to hillers for at least 20 years but have exhausted giving them second chances. How hard is it to get an order right? Especially considering they are by far the most expensive sub/pizza shop around and for no apparent reason. My final straw was when the woman accused me of messing up a delivery order when I called to let them know - wow! After letting me know that she thought it was my mistake she did tell me she was going to refund my credit card but I never got the refund. I would think a place going thru their current legal mess, with the owner and the young girl, would be trying to hold on to customer not driving them away... Maybe when they close a subway will move in.

Excellent food, lots of choices and reasonably priced . Friendly and prompt service . Enjoyable experience with a party of 10 !

Went for breakfast . The food was pretty basic but good. Staff were friendly and attentive. Small place, so they do have wait times and does tend to be pretty loud inside.

Food is good, just way overpriced. I've only dined here maybe 3 times because it's pricey. It's pretty good food, but not so good you should pay 3 or 4 bucks more over other places.

Good food, extremely friendly staff, great fresh coffee!
Food: their corn bread is to die for, so fresh and crunchy, absolutely delicious!
I had the smoked salmon bagel with cream cheese which was absolutely delicious and fresh! My son loved their fluffy blueberry pancake!
The place is amazing, cleanliness can be improved a tad bit but I don’t blame them, as the restaurant is SUPER BUSY and it’s tough to clean up the floor behind every customer, the tables and chairs were clean and that’s what matters! Everything else was on point!!

Food was terrible. Stale bread. The restaurant ran out of French fries that should have come with our burgers. They offered onion rings in place of fries and then charged me $2.50 per order. And, we were lucky enough to get 5 onion rings. I do not recommend this place. Over priced and poor quality of food.,

it's great place to meet friends. The manager was very nice!

A bit trendy for my taste, but I like that you can sit outdoors. I ordered a cocktail that wasn't on the menu, and they made it correctly (surprisingly, not a standard experience at bars in this area). We ordered the pita chips and ricotta dip and it was DELICIOUS. We were there on a busy night and the waitress didn't rush us at all, which was awesome. I recommend, but would go on a weeknight to avoid having to listen to the angst of nearby customers all night long.

For a Sunday night in the summer the bar was busy and a few tables in the restaurant. There was 1 bar tender who was handling all food/drinks and she was doing her best to keep up for the bar but things were slow. Drinks were really good. Only saw 1 server for the dining room. It was fun to watch the sushi being made right at the bar, which was delicious and looked awesome with great presentation. One point of improvement was that for the tempura sweet potato, it came out cold since they were so busy and it sat while they prepared the roll. Overall, I'd go back and hope they have more staff to support the number of customers.

This is the best sushi I've had in Central MA. So fresh and the platters are a really great value! I highly recommend this place.

Absolutely amazing. We were visiting our friends in the area from California and to discover such a great place was just serendipitous! Went to the restaurant almost five days in a row . Thank you so much from our family!

What a find. Great atmosphere.
Food was amazing. Can't wait to go back and try more items on the menu

This is the first sushi place I didn’t need to use my eel sauce to add flavor to my sushi. Usually I get the same thing, but I ventured out and I’m not disappointed. This is the best sushi I’ve had and the presentation is beyond exceptional.

The pizza crust was perfect and the combination of the toppings was amazing. Particularly loved the detroit white pizza and would recommend it to everyone. The hot honey just hit different.
The NY summer veggie was also pretty good so was the cheesy bread. Place is very clean and the staff is friendly.

The Spoon has become a great place for me to meet a friend for brunch. The food is good, and the location makes it conveniently accessible to those traveling by on route 495. At The Spoon it starts with the staff, they are nice, witty, fun and happy to help you narrow down to a stellar menu choice. The seating is comfortable and clean both inside and outside, if it’s nice out, take advantage of the outdoor seating. The menu offers the ability to indulge healthily. My first visit I enjoyed the Resilience Scramble which provided the satisfaction of a delicious and healthy meal. If you don’t mind splurging in calories there are plenty of options like the Mac Benny which will fill you up without leaving you stuffed. A gem of a breakfast place, if you’re traveling in and around Hopkinton, it’s worth popping in to enjoy a bite to eat.

Good local spot. On a Tuesday morning we sat outside on the patio and had friendly, useful service. Food was good, portions were good and they had some creative breakfast choices besides the usual fare. Our table went from oatmeal, to pancakes, to a yogurt parfait to a scrambler and home fries- all were delicious. Would definitely recommend.

Ko sushi is my absolute favorite place to get fresh gluten free sushi! Their Ko platter for 1 is huge and all the fish is so freshhh!! I highly recommend checking Ko sushi out!

This was awful - I haven't seen a worse decline in a food place than Central Public House. We ordered from them initially during the pandemic and the food was decent (4/5). Now, they serve food worse quality than The Cheesecake Factory. The burger tasted exactly like a Cheesecake Factory burger (not good) and the french fries had absolutely no seasoning and were soggy. Food was lukewarm at best and colder than room temperature by the time I was halfway done with eating. Every other meal ordered in my order followed the same patern of medicore, cheap quality food. I hope this place gets their act together otherwise I don't see them being here much longer; some of the worse American food I've had in a long time. I mean, come on...how do you mess up a freakin' burger.

Been there twice now... once when they opened then tonight which has been few years later...had the burger the 1st time it was awful...had it again tonight and same deal, I thought by now they could figure out how to cook a burger. The place wasnt full at all on a Friday night which is a big red flag. As for the meal the fries were so under cooked they felt like they may have been frozen, just soggy and limp. The "beef" patty wasn't good at all, asked for it Medium was more rare then I care for. I left 1/2 the meal cause it just didn't taste right. On a positive note the waitress was nice and the drinks were good, but I won't be going back.

I have had one of my best pizzas here. The Detroit style hot honey pizza is one of my new favorites. Cheese sticks are good too. I assume all their pizzas are made with sour dough and because of that there is a good flavor added to the taste. It's a take out place and so, the ambience is not dine-in friendly. Except that, it's a great place to eat. Moreover, Blue Square is really close to Hopkinton state park.

Ignoring the wonky mixed decor, and mixed menu one will find a mostly clean but patron deprived restaurant. It’s understandable being that inflation has driven up the prices of food and for some going out is not an option. However to get a 2 in² piece of baked haddock for over market price filled with a watery lobster sauce and no bread crumbs is just insulting. Ordering an appetizer you’ll find a soggy bruschetta resembling an early 90’s microwave pizza that while good enough for the average latchkey high schooler and isn’t for a restaurant patron.

Excellent food, but the soy sauce for takeout is bad. Actually it is not Soy Sauce at all, and It is made from water, salt, food coloring and sodium benzoate which is food preservative. Such nice place and great food, they really need to get some real soy sauce!

Was in the area and googled sushi. Had a couple of really good Mai Tais and some delicious crab rangoon at the bar. Brought home some delicious pad Thai really good! Sushi menu was different but very good and very fresh. Can't wait to bring my wife and have a dine in experience. The bar scene fun and a really nice atmosphere.

It was for Mother's day lunch. Reservation for 12:30. Only ones in restaurant. Limited Mother's day menu with prices hiked up by $10. Per appetizer and entry. $28.95 for eggplant parm that was cold when served (mozzarella was not even melted) and when waitress came over after I beckoned her, before I could say anything, she said to me, "is it cold?" She knew it was cold. Plus the skin was left on the eggplant and it was so tough I couldn't cut thru it is with the knife provided. First and last time I will ever ever eat there. I checked the menu on line which is why I know the prices were jacked up. Simply despicable.

We had crab cakes that had to much filler. You couldn't taste the crab. The ricotta dip is a doctored up version if French onion dip. Turkey Tips were dry with too much sage. Cosmo was not good. It tasted sweet. Everything tasted unbalanced. Service was good.

We went to celebrate with some friends. Made a reservation and we were the only ones there at 6pm on a Friday. We ordered drinks and didn't get them til 10 mins later. We didn't order food until 20 mins after we got our drinks. Before we knew it, it had been and hr that had passed and we had no food (there were only 4 couples there). My husband ordered a beer and took up about 20 mins and he only got it because he went up to the bar. Food was not even great. The lasagna was half cold like it came out of the freezer. Not a great experience with service or food at all.

Got there around 10 on a Saturday morning. Kind of quite inside. Was promptly brought coffee. Placed my order, took about 10 minutes and I had a wonderful, relatively inexpensive breakfast. 2 eggs, bacon, home fries, toast, and coffee less than $14. Everything was great. Service was awesome. I will be back. Oh ya, when I left there, was a line out the door. And it was-10 degrees out. Must be worth the wait.

We drove a town over to experience this delicious and unique pizza!
We got the Detroit style Soppressata and Hot Honey. The hot honey was not spicy even though they said that it is. The red sauce on top had a sweetness to it.
I like the caramelized outside crust that was on all sides and even the bottom. Inside was soft and delicious.
Then we got the New York style classic cheese and New York style mushroom truffle pizza.
All the kids after the first bite made comments like... Magnificent, satisfying, and wow!
Can't wait to return.

Rustic, approachable, comforting - Central Public House is the premier culinary attraction in Hopkinton featuring a seasonally rotated menu and superb staff. Recently, I was particularly thrilled to see chef revisit Osso Buco with steak sourced from Wisconsin and the peasant dish, Duck Cassoulet, featuring crispy pork belly and sausage.
Edit: I’m aghast someone rated CPH three stars bc they updated their menu, excluding French onion soup vs. a fast food restaurant with no dining area or bar they rated five stars…??!! CPH is the best restaurant in Hopkinton. Five stars. Full stop.

We walked in and were told that the chef had called in sick, so there would be a very limited menu. She could do a burger and fries, which was what we stopped for. The burger was delicious, no compliant. I would agree with others on the up charge for the fries. $4 for barely a handful is a little much. Just add a couple of dollars to the price of the burger and call it a day.

Any New England restaurant that serves
Biscuit and Sausage gravy deserve a a 5-star rating! The Spoon is a cozy restaurant in Hopkinton that specializes in breakfast dishes. Eggs Benedict, breakfast burritos and traditional selections are delicious.
Late breakfast on a Saturday morning was busy, but we were seated quickly. Biscuits and sausage gravy was properly prepared.
Biscuit was split and lightly toasted, gravy was loaded with crumbled sausage. Salmon Benedict was delicious. Staff was friendly and attentive. Prices are very reasonable.

Ate dinner on two different nights while traveling for work. The owner prepared everything gluten free for me.
The Brussel Sprouts are AMAZING!
I had the eggplant Parmesan one night and Seared Tuna another night. Both were fresh and so good.
I also loved a cocktail was served as a double automatically.
The owner was super friendly.

We were on a road trip and stopped in half an hour before closing. They were able to quickly bake a small pizza in 15 minutes. The taste was great and it was very affordable!

We were a party of six celebrating a get together on a Wednesday night.
Everyone enjoyed what they ordered and agreed the service was great. The restaurant was very nice and upscale but it lacked ambiance. We were the only ones in the restaurant, except for three people sitting in the bar area. Perhaps it was not the best option for a Wednesday night so will try coming back on a Friday or Saturday.

Solo dinner on a Saturday night. Good craft beer selection. Had blackened mahi with bean salad, fish was spicy and savory, bean salad was a light nice balance. Friendly quick bar service.

Very good and tasty pizzas. The real Italian cuisine

This place opened right before COVID. Good service , nice bar the food was good they made it a point to do something different to each plate to show their signature touch. I got the CPH burger I give it a 8 out of ten. ( could have seasoned it after taking it off the grill). Normally it would get 4 stars alway room for improvement. I give it 4.5.
One thing to note which was fantastic was the house cut fries. Yeah I know fries!? This fries were cut diff seasoned well fried to perfection. If you light light crispy not too oily fries these are it. Make sure to ask for the homemade ranch dressing really put it over the top.
Life is short …F …it up. family flavor friends

One of the top 5 best chicken parmesan dinners I've ever had!! Such a fancy looking place. Can't wait to go back. Took a little bit for the dinner since it was slow but based on the taste it was well worth it!

A great breakfast place with a varied menu and delicious food. The pancakes are light and fluffy and the omelettes have generous fillings. Weekends can get busy but the waits are reasonable and they work to move people quickly with fast and friendly service. A great place for families. Warm seasons the have a patio outdoors with additional seating.
