This is by far the best Asian Fusion food, and prices are very low, big portions.
Was awesome.

My wife had the fish of the day, which was red snapper. She enjoyed it. I had Pad Thai, which was good, but it contained cilantro, which I can only tolerate in very small amounts. If you are are not one of the small group of people like me that can’t tolerate cilantro, you might enjoy it. The pad Thai that I I’m familiar with usually contains basil rather than cilantro. They did include tamarind, which I love.

Seems like the restaurant has daily dinner special dishes / chef recommend not in their main menu, order green papaya salad and prawns Tom Yum soup from their special board, and chicken fried rice and Pad Thai in the main menu, all dishes were nice! Also good food portions and friendly service!

Fantastic restaurant - the food was exquisite - we went back for a second night on our weekend stay because it was so good! Tom Yum was excellent, as was Red curry duck. Highly recommended!

Visited Sculptureum today. Amazing. Exceeded my expectations. The colour of the leaves are still so vibrant, even at this time of the year and that's just the trees! It's amazing how art can really trigger emotion. I came out feeling inspired and wanting to nurture my own (tiny) creative nature😍

Went with family, there were nine of us (aged 17-70+yrs) and everyone loved it! Plenty of parking. Well kept place/grounds. Popular restaurant. Staff are amazing, welcoming and friendly. The weather was overcast but umbrellas are provided for the walk/stroll. Awesome gallery and garden!

Excellent place to visit, something for everyone. Easy walk through curated gardens and galleries. Allow 2 hours minimum to soak it in. On-site cafe for a bite as well.

We did as afternoon activities for family. We liked the sculptures and the walk around. We bought tickets on bookme for $27 per adult. Definitely better price than $50 on sport.

My wife and I had a short stay up at Matakana recently at the Bali Gardens ( also highly recommended ) and we ate out 3 nights in a row at Jin Jin. It was so good we didn’t even bother to try any of the other local restaurants. My wife is plant based and there was good selection for her to choose from such as the vegetable dumplings, tofu bao buns and bang bang tofu. If you like spicy I can recommend the sambal prawns 🌶️. Divine Asian fusion cuisine.

We had a couple of grabone vouchers and decided to visit. The sculptures and the gallery were outstanding. Great customer service upon arrival. Great for kids as plenty for them to explore, such as birds ,turtles, and a bunny. Restaurant and wine tasting require booking. Otherwise, hot chips, coffee, drinks and ice cream are available from the ticket counter.

What a truly beautiful place to visit. On a sunny day it is well worth the visit. You will not be disappointed.
No vegetarian options available (I don't consider a salad a main meal). We were charged $5 per person ($25 total) to eat our own homemade cake, and after being told that we wouldn't be charged extra. The potato chips were nice though.

This place is worth going, and I would like to visit again in the future:) It is saperated into three gardens and six galleries where there are more than 800 works displaying. I love the Palm garden the most, and the Pink Snail Garden is fun too! Other than sculptures, there are also some real animals, including bunny, turtles, parrots and so on. One of the parrots can say 'Hello' again and again, which made us lingering for a long time😆 Free carpark outside, and the ticket is 49.50 pp (it's 38 pp if you're a resident). Staff is nice and welcoming.

A truly amazing place, well worth the hour drive out of Auckland. Spent a good couple of hours here wandering through the amazing outdoor sculptures and gallery inside. I thoroughly recommend this place.

An adequate lunch menu with beautifully prepared meals arriving quickly and efficiently. Our party included several younger members who would have liked a wider selection of meals to choose but this didn't detract from the pleasant atmosphere and helpful staff.

Took the kids for a day out at Sculptureum and we loved it. The grounds are beautifully kept, the staff are welcoming and lovely.

We enjoyed the art and gardens so much. Didn't get a chance to eat at the restaurant but we'd love to do that next time.

One of your classic outdoor museums, quite a lot of visitors but didn’t feel too crowded. Worthy of visiting once. Not sure about a second time though. You can spend half a day there, including eating at their restaurant.
We were so looking forward to trying this! However were told at 5.55pm that they were not taking any orders and have packed up. Nevermind the sign saying last orders at 6pm!

The absolute stunning place if you are interested in different forms of art. I loved gardens and art gallery.

Kids will love this place with multiple farm animals and birds in the gardens.

Must visit if you are close to Matakana and I personally feel its under-rated place. But worth to visit it.

Beautiful, relaxing atmosphere. Great service, staff and platters. Engaging staff and professional interaction
A really great place for authentic thai cuisine - enjoy the professional service , caring host and the great quality food they serve

No wonder you should book ahead especially in high season it is one of not too many places in the area that offer that level quality.

We went for a mix of the days specials and some entrees and mains - really
Good

So head here for a nice dinner

The food was good, they could have had a better drinks menu, I would suggest booking if you go there as the place was packed.

The children's menu is a meagre portion. Definitely not for 8-12 yo. The spaghetti is just per description, noodles, sauce and cheese only, no protein. The size of the fish and chips from the kids menu was barely 10cm.
Wine selection is great!
My son took us to Rothko for a fathers brunch.

We have been here before with a mixed degree of sucess and enjoyment.

Today's experience was certainly better than our last visit.

The menu was limited to three choices, each of which looked fine, I chose the beef schnitzel with poached egg and shoe-string chips.

The schnitzel was over cooked for my liking, because the bread crust was very close to being between well done or on the burnt side.

The meat itself was okay.

The chips and egg were great, one good aspect was they did not over salt the chips.
Restaurant was very busy and waiter seemed a bit overwhelmed. Didnt really know the menu. Bread,Risotto and Oysters very nice. Not quite up to the standard I was expecting. I found the menu very difficult as choices seemed limited to me although quite a few items. Maybe because they had run out of Sirloin has colored my perception. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt.if up that way i would definitely recommend stopping for a meal. Nice wine!!

Waited 2 hours for lunch to arrive during a long weekend. Was rather merry at that point due to their Camille Rose that we kept ordering to fill the time. Food was great when it arrived and we would go back. I suspect they were pretty short staffed. Lovely spot, staff were nice but the wait was rather too long to be reasonable.

Amazing food! The fired chicken was crisp outside and meltingly soft inside. The sirloin and broccoli were cooked to perfection, and the salmon was very fresh. I would love to give 5 stars for the food and wine, but the service only worth 3 stars. So I am giving 4 stars.
