Honestly this is the best time in town to relax, have a drink and a bite to eat. Everything about this place is class. They make great strong drinks and the food is better than you would expect. Not to mention their happy hour is definitely the best in the area and available from 3-6 m-f. I love their Smash burger and brisket tacos. Their wings and pies are good too. Brian is the best I’m sure you will meet him if you frequent this place like I do. He always makes you feel comfortable and is very friendly and genuine.

Great for watching sports even though the vibe isn’t a sports bar. It’s a classy establishment.

One of the most top sushi restaurants I have ever been.
Definitely justified the Michelin star they had.
The food looked like a picture, made into perfection and tasted like nothing I have ever had.
No doubt I'll be back

I got chicken and waffles, and they were good. My husband got waffles with scrambled eggs and bacon. The bacon was not quite cooked. Which I have seen a lot in Europe. So that's the reason for the 4 stars.

Had my mom's 80th birthday party here in the back patio area. Raul helped me select the menu items which were all very good. The atmosphere is festive with all the pretty lights and the service was very good. Great place for a celebration or just to go out to eat to meet a friend or for a date night.

Tried this place for the first time. The salmon salad with the bbq burger, truffle fries and a hot fudge desert were all to die for. Food was phenomenal. Ordered two cocktails which were carefully crafted to perfection. Eric our server was impressive, he really went above and beyond for us. Ambience is a chill laid back environment with a cool bar and stage for live music. I highly recommended tuning fork, rating this establishment 5 stars. Thank you Eric and staff for a truly wonderful experience Xo we will def be returning :)

Had the pleasure of having our company dinner at Firefly and hands down one of the best restaurants Los Angeles has to offer. We had over 16 guests and they accommodated all of us with no issues. From the servers and service to the food and drinks. Wow. Just Wow. Beautiful atmosphere, beautiful hosts. Thank you for making our company dinner memorable. I will definitely be returning.

Beware ordering from here. We ordered delivery and we got a live bug in our food. We spent over $100 here to get a bug… I will not ever return and I’m REALLY hoping I don’t get sick.

Grade B+ (88): The main reason for the 4 stars was that I made a reservation, requested to be by the fireplace or close to it, I made the reservation in advance, also early in the evening and arrived on time, yet they still didn't even put us in the same hall as the fireplace, we were in the patio, even though there were some open spots. The food was good, the Steak Frites were not traditional, they used filet mignon that was very good, so I just put the fries next to the steak in that Delicious sauce and enjoyed it. We also had the wild caught Salmon, which I also tasted and it was very good. Arugula salad was also good considering it had apples and pomegranate, but you can always not eat those. You have to be careful not to miss the place because there is no sign!! Just a cocktail glass neon, I Guess they don't care about people driving by to be curious about the place and Google it. Parking was on the street, it valet. Street parking is hard to find so valet it was
I really liked this place! It honestly took my by surprise as it was advertised as a bowling alley, which it is, but when you first walk in, it's a groovey icecream shop with some baked goods. They had soft serve, so that won me over. It was of course delicious and my friend got a big cookie, which was ok. There is lots of really kool seating outcomes, and lots of normal tables, followed by the bar and the bowling alley in the back.

The atmosphere is really nice, perfectly romantic. The food, cocktails and wine selection was good. Service was a little off, food started to arrive before our drinks, but I'll give that a pass. All in all it was a nice experience.

On Sunday we went for brunch. The good was ok. I got the chicken and waffles and my friend got the salmon Benedict. The food was average. Nothing really special with the meal. The bar was great. This place is much better for drinks than for food.

After patronizing this beautiful wine bar for years, when I was younger, I went there for dinner with my good friend for the first time in a long time. It is just as cute as I remembered it and as crowded as ever. The servers were very kind, and the food came out at a good rate. My friend and I were a bit dissatisfied with the plates we ordered: the crispy olive appetizer, little gem salad, french fries, and white fish dish. With the prices each dish toted, we expected something a little better. Maybe the best thing we ate was this chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream. And, thankfully, the spicy margaritas were great. All in all, I would recommend this place for drinks, snacks, and a good time, but not so much for a good meal.

Studio Sushi is a hidden gem in Studio City, and I can't praise this place enough. It's an understated but authentic sushi spot with friendly staff who go above and beyond to make your dining experience special. The head chef, Herman, is a true artist in the kitchen. His passion for the craft shines through in every dish, but the lemon roll is, without a doubt, the best roll I've ever had. Each visit to Studio Sushi is a lovely and unique experience, thanks to Herman's culinary skills and the warm ambiance. If you're a sushi lover, this place is a must-visit.

This was the first place that we sat down and had a meal while visiting Los Angeles for the first time ever. It was a Saturday evening and we were able to get in and get a table. Parking was tight but there is a valley just down the road for $10. Inside the restaurant there is a indoor bar portion and an beautiful outdoor patio with lots of plants and lights. The ordering style is do it yourself, You can walk up to the bar or in the case of the patio is a food truck, Is and order your drinks and food. You get your drink on the spot and they bring food to your table. The food was incredible I had the best pork belly that I have ever had in my life, The drinks were very unique and very tasty. Staff was great and the atmosphere was incredibly chill ,great vibe.

my girlfriend surprised me by bringing me here for dinner.I must say it was a nice restaurant. it doesn't look like much from the outside, but once you walk in, it's a whole different scene. the food was really great and alcoholic beverages. it's a little pricey, but it's worth every penny.

my girlfriend got the filet mignon, and I got the salmon. we also ordered the charcuterie and Russell sprouts and fries. hey, we were hungry, lol

overall, we had a great experience

Hillary Clinton once said it takes a Village to raise a child. Well, there's no child raising going on at this Village but they sure serve some high quality food and have an ambient atmosphere. Great place for a romantic dinner. Quality and service is topp notch.

I have been coming to this restaurant for over 10 years, and I must say, it's a prime example of exceptional service and quality foods. The food is always incredibly fresh. They always provide a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. I wholeheartedly recommend it!
The Fox and Hound is simply the BEST! The staff provides excellent service, which makes the atmosphere even more pleasant. On Thursday nights, karaoke is hosted by Justin & Ashley, two wonderful people! A Shout out to Tyler and Summer who are always on point! MWS 🙂

I used to go to this spot daily when I worked at the studio, and it was always tasty. Since then, it's been remodeled and has gotten even better. Their menu has a nice selection of appetizers and rolls. They have street parking and a small lot. They also have some decent happy hour deals during the week.

Super tiny Japanese sushi restaurant — there is a $9 valet or you can try to find your luck with street parking. The food is excellent at Asanebo with the fish being very fresh. A tad above average in pricing for similar quality items however a minor quibble is the staff constantly badgering you to order. We had barely sat down before two different servers approached us to order. But other than that the service is quite good. Will come back to try their omakase menu.
Really enjoy this place when I am in LA. Great service with a smile. Well kept beer and good value tasty food choices. quite busy at times, but I tend to be in at lunch time so never overwhelmed. smoking on the covered terrace if that's your thing, if not easy to avoid. I think there has been a change of ownership but all to the good. Looking forward to returning soon.

Capturing nights like these to look back on makes it all worth it ❤️ @liv_beautifulee and I reunited with @87carlamae and Brannon for double date night @fireflystudiocity for appetizers and drinks. We enjoyed the Dirty Gin Martini, That’ll Do Fig and the Pineapple Express for drinks. We ordered the Charcuterie and Artisanal Cheese Plates with the Spanish Octopus 🐙 The drinks were fantastic and I would highly recommend the Octopus if you’re in to that sort of thing 😂🔥

happy hour portions are ridiculously small and overpriced for what they serve. the mini burgers were laughably small…

a phone also kept ringing from behind the bar the entire time we were there and no one ever answered it.

service was so slow. we were there for two hours and only ordered a main and two drinks.

We visited here on a Monday during happy hour, and sat on their pretty patio. Our food was delicious, especially the fish (cod) taco and the charcuterie board. The drinks were lovely too! We enjoyed it so much that we plan on going back there to have dinner sometime soon. In the picture there's more olives and cheese hiding behind the bread! Next time I will ask for the bread to be not grilled (my own pref.)
Loved it!
They make a personalized our roll, (requested them before ordered!) which makes our sushi date a really good one!
Highly recommended!

This place is whatever. You want to pay $100 for two burgers and two drinks then here is where you do it. The layout is anxiety inducing. You can have a nice seat by the windows but the live bands play out of sight around a corner while you face the bar. My main gripe is that this place takes your credit card info, finds your email and starts sending you news letters you can't unsubscribe from. Scummy stuff. Would not recommend.

One of my favourite spots to meet friends, and great for casual business meetings. Awesome outdoor area, well lit, lots of plants, funky style. Indoors it’s a nice pub style bar, with plenty of seating and always a friendly atmosphere. Laurel has plenty of beers on tap, great cocktails, but the Crispy chicken sandwich is what I order here. All the food is good, but that sandwich fantastic! Get it smothered in sauce and it’s even better. If you’re pretending to be healthy you can grab the salad version, but it’s worth the extra calories.
I will definitely comeback to check out the restaurant, bar, and live entertainment.

The staff was kind and helpful. I was just browsing the strip and stumbled upon this cool place.

I liked all the Grateful Dead art and memorabilia.
I think this space would be great for Nate LaPointe to perform a solo act; however, the venue is too small for Dead Cover bands like Cubensis.

It’s has been a minute since I’ve felt this discriminated against in a restaurant, especially in 2023. I stumbled upon Turning fork last night and had a great experience with Eric, our waiter (he’s not who I’m referring to in this complaint he was great). Last night the food, ambiance and good amateur music was appreciated. Therefore I decided to come back a second night in a row. However tonight was a completely different experience. I had a glass of wine and an appetizer while I listened to “blues music,” that is historically and culturally tied to African Americans yet I was discriminated against because of this and I find great irony in that.
My $30 tab came and I paid with a $50 dollar bill to which the waiter asks if I needed change. I replied yes… (to assume I didn’t need change is crazy he expected a 66.7% tip) to which he comes back and tells me the restaurant only has $14 dollars in change. He refused to give me my change due back. I’ve never had a restaurant tell me they were missing the 20% they felt they were owed. I was a party of two not large party where an automatic 20% was owed. Not to mention I had ever intention of leaving more than 20%.
I have waited tables and worked in hospitality for over 20 years and know how to tip well as well as the racial discrimination that comes with assuming black people don’t tip. Our waiter (I don’t have his name but an Asian man with glasses. And I wish I knew his name because I wouldn’t have even mentioned his race but I want this establishment to know who I’m speaking of) He blatantly assumed I wasn’t going to tip because of the color of my skin, so he opted to just take his 20% he felt due. I gave him three dollars more to prove a point when he returned part of my change. It’s beyond frustrating to feel you have to tip more to prove a point. I refuse to believe a bar only has $14 dollars in cash on hand.

Came here for a birthday dinner. Valet parking is $10.

Brussel sprouts had grapes, which made it semi sweetened. It was different with the grapes but so good. I liked the way these Brussels were cooked. It easily fell apart as I bit into it.

French baguette bread was the appetizer, and I loved the butter that came with it. It was served on a black platter with the butter scooped onto the platter.

Shrimp fettuccine with a lobster bisque was my favorite. ❤️ You could taste the lobster bisque with every bite. The shrimp was perfect. No struggles pulling off the tail. The noodles weren't dry and sticky, very well done overall.

Steak frites were very tender as we asked for well done. It had a lot of flavor and was very fulfilling. I didn't personally favor it because I thought it was a bit salty for my palette. Usually, salt isn't an issue. Perhaps it was also the sauce, but the fries were good. The ketchup tasted like it was made in-house.

Overall, it is a great atmosphere with a beautiful ambiance. The library room in the front was a fave area as well as the back wall greenery. The service was amazing as well up until the end when we were waiting for the bday suprise dessert. They can't split the bill but do take up to 6 cards. I'd recommend this spot for sure for any and all occasions.
Got the wood oven Tuna Tar tar, Truffle Jalapeño Mac & cheese & Mushroom Ravioli. The food was made well overall but it's just not my kind of food. Portions are small & the flavors are not my type. The place is pretty & plenty of seats inside and out. The tuna tar tar just tasted a little odd with the combination of chips. The Jalapeño Mac & cheese wasn't at all spicy and had a thin layer of cheese, flavors were ok. The mushroom ravioli was disappointing; the dough was so thin and the mushrooms were watery and chopped so super thin with random crunchy chips on top

I came into this place on a Friday night after a long, stressfull day of work. The overall experience of this place allowed me to wind down and leave in the right state of mind.

The atmosphere of this place is definitely a strong attribute. The lighting is plentiful, yet dim, making it feel very elegant and soothing. The outdoor seating is even better.

The beer that I ordered was very good as well. With that in mind, there's a pretty good variety of beer, wine and cocktails at this place.

Overall, I would return for another visit if ever given the opportunity.

This place I've always wanted to try. It's in weird kind of dates place with like banquet chairs. We can the appetizers & drinks. The Watermelon margaritas were great! The chicken pate had potential but it stank. The octopus was too charred. The bread was excellent. I don't know I wish the food was better. Service was great & our Service was the best. I’ve been coming to Firefly for years and have never been disappointed!
Everybody is super friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable. The host, the servers, the bartenders, and the kitchen staff.
I highly recommend this place!
It’s such a cute restaurant! Sometimes we just come for drinks in the little library lounge/bar area and other times we have dinner and drinks in one of the cabanas. It’s a beautiful experience no matter the weather!

This is as close as I’ve to finding my “Cheers” in the area. Come here to watch Premier League soccer or drinks and apps before heading to a ballgame. Just a chill place with solid drinks for fair prices. Fried pickles are delish. Love it when they have the back patio open because we often travel with our pup.

I had seen this place while working at the stages next door and thought it would be a good place to try out one day. I'm glad I listened to my instincts on this one. Hands down some of the best sushi I've ever tried. Came in on my birthday and had Kwyn as our server. The guy was amazing. His customer service was on point and always made sure I had beer to drink. The food was so delicious! Started with some oysters and rice spicy tuna, which are always the go to for when my wife and I get sushi. The rolls were tatsy and very well made. I highly recommend getting the toro and bluefin with caviar sushi. My mouth is watering as I'm writing this thinking about those two. SO GOOD! The restaurant itself was very nice looking inside, and the patio was definitely a vibe. Great music in the background also. I'll definitely be coming back to try the other rolls and sushi I unfortunately didn't get to try. Thanks again Kwyn for taking care of my wife and I.

Been here previously for lunch, but stopped in for a quick dinner.

Good location on Ventura nr Laurel Cyn. There's parking available just to the east but I found street parking. Both indoor and outdoor seating is available.

All orders are done at the bar, for food, drinks, etc. Menus are posted on the wall and behind the bar, as well as QR codes on the tables for convenience. Service was fast, bartenders were nice. Food was excellent.

This is probably the best sushi we’ve ever had. You can taste the fancy. We had fish and flavors we had never tasted before. Watching the sushi chefs work was like seeing a work of art in process. We got some of the specials and a la carte sushi, but honestly, next time we’ll do the full tasting menu. It’s pricey, but worth every penny. (i only took a couple of pics, not everything I ate)
Really like this Irish pub. It feels like you are in Ireland or England. There are comedy shows and mics. Staff is friendly. They sell food as well. They have an outdoor area. East free parking around it at night. After here you can head to residuals and sing karaoke from walking distance. And this may sound weird but every time I drink water from their plastic cups it gives me a mini electro shock to my teeth.

Great food and atmosphere here at Laurel Tavern. The outside patio is super comfy and enjoyable for drinking with friends. All of the food we ordered was delicious, especially the french dip. My only complaint was the ordering process. Everything had to be ordered at the bar which became a little frustrating waiting behind a bunch of people just ordering drinks. I think this spot would benefit from a "ordering from QR code and have food delivered to each table" situation. Overall great time here though. I'll come back more this summer to enjoy the patio.

Food was really good, we went early so we were the only customers, by the time we left, there was way more people, they have live music so that explains it all. We loved the brownie, it was really good! The only bad thing -but also a good thing, it's a small portion. We really want to go back again during their live music events and order different food & dessert. My boyfriend loved his burger, he said it was perfect. We both liked their wings but such a mess when eating them, I'd prefer the boneless option with that Char Siu sauce! It's pricey but we would go again since food was delicious.

The Full Monty aka Full English Breakfast / two grilled bangers, two Irish bacon rashers, two eggs, baked beans, grilled tomatoes, sautéed mushrooms, toast - 5 🌟!

I have an October birthday tradition that I only started last year but have carried on into 2022. I seek out a full English breakfast! Or at least as close as LA can get.

This year I was at The Fox and The Hound.

I forgot to take photos of the restaurant itself. It is a nice English pub with a very good, broad menu with featuring lots of English classics and some American options as well.

But I was there for the English breakfast and it certainly did not disappoint. Very satisfying meal. Everything tasted great! It was a lot close to my house than the place I found last year. They have indoor and outdoor seating and even at 11 am on a weekday it was getting a good crowd.

We also had some sausage rolls that I also forgot to take a pic of. They were made in house and were awesome. Five stars unofficially since there's no photo evidence.

Spot was cute and fancy. We sat ok the sidewalk “outside” which had some plants and lights to kinda block out the Ventura Blvd road traffic. We were there for happy hour. Yummy food but very small portions. The drinks were good and strong. I was buzzed after the first drink and some may say I’m an alcoholic… lol the pictures posted are not a visual illusion….the burger really was that tiny. The bathroom was like in a shared space… not inside the restaurant….

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 ENGLAND (via Eat the World Los Angeles) - If you did not have the context of Ventura Blvd. on each side, the palm trees above, and the crystal blue sky, this corner pub in Studio City could be mistaken for the local watering hole of any small town in England. Throughout Great Britain the local pub is more than just a place to drink. In smaller towns and villages, it may be the only place with a kitchen for diners to go out. Even in bigger towns the pub is the place to go to eat, and the kitchen here is open early and late to give you this feeling.

After waiting a little over an hour for Wives of studio City to finish their 4-Hour birthday party (real inconsiderate)
Anyway Atticus, the acting manager, was great and understanding and sympathetic. Props to the bartender and his Spotify song list playing old school r&b. Speaking of bartending my wife had a bloody Mary and I had a drink called the other girl or old girl or something like that.. as unmasculine as that name is, the drink was great! My wife said she's never had a bloody Mary they gave her a buzz and such a small glass before!.. LOL so the drinks are the bomb!
As far as the excellent food, she had a salmon Benedict and I had a breakfast burrito both were extremely tasty although I'm glad I had the sauce on the side. The salsa for the eggs benedict is pretty strong and it must be the same one they use for the bloody Mary because it was spicy. The salsa for the breakfast burrito however is kind of soupy, not that I'm complaining, but it was a nice change.
To paraphrase Arnold Schwarzenegger "we will be back" Really pricey, but it is studio City after all on Ventura.

This was a cute new place we went to last night and it did not disappoint. The halibut melted in our mouth it was so tender, Orion beer yum, oyster shots the best I have ever had thus far. Over all the food was great and the service was amazing and friendly
I highly recommend when you are in the area of Studio City /Sherman Oaks
The Six chow house restaurants bar is very cute. They have a nice outdoor sitting area thats nicely lit with sparkly lights and fake flowers all over. Overall the food tasted good. I would recommend getting the Brussel sprouts, it’s one of the best I’ve ever tastes. The buffalo cauliflower tasted a lot like buffalo chicken wings, which was very yummy. The mushroom truffle flatbread is amazing! However, the salmon was okay. It needed salt and the sauce was bland. The banana cream pie was very tasty and great presentation. I don’t know if the restaurant is short staffed or if it was just that day we went, but there was only 2 waiters working and no hostess, so it was just a bit awkward waiting for a table, and we had to wait a while for the waiters to help us. Overall, an okay experience.

Absolutely loved it! I hosted my monthly book club meeting there and I was a bit nervous of having enough space to fit that many people on a Sunday but they made it work even when more people than I expected to showed up.

Service was a bit slow but it seemed like they only had a few people convering the entire restaurant, completely understandable. The food and drinks were great. The ambiance was perfect especially the music. Thank you to Isabella, Camilla and Jeremy (and all the staff!) for being absolutely perfect and patient with us. I will definitely come back!

Surprisingly good! The village is located in Studio city. Came for a friend's birthday, and we were seated at the outdoor patio, service was super nice and accommodating. Everything we had that night was good! Flatbread and homemade pizza served straight out of the oven, they were chewy, fluffy, and moist. I especially enjoyed their village steak and fried egg (5oz ribeye over garbonzos and creamy rice, topped w/ light tomato sauce and a fried egg) I still remember how creamy it was, it tasted like a good risotto w/ runny yolk, and the ribeye was so juicy too. They really nailed this dish. So good. Cocktails were good and strong, which is not a bad thing for a birthday celebration. We all ended up having a great time. Good overall experience at the Village!

Lots of comfort food. We really enjoyed the garden salad! The chicken flatbread pizza was good, as was the buffalo cauliflower. I think the brisket hash was one of the most tasty. The one dish that was less than the others was the brussel sprouts. It was oily and I'm not sure I liked the Kimchee flavor. The service was good. We ended up parking down the street, as the lot was full at brunch time. There is a front as well as a back patio. Both have a nice atmosphere. We will be back. We want to try the dinner menu.

The Gray Tavern itself is a bit small. I'm guessing Covid is the reason no one was really sitting inside. I like how all the TVs are in Black & White. Apparently the owner is color blind 😉.

The outdoor seating is nice. Not very spacious but nice. Decor is nice with an undertone of basic/seen it before.

We moved seats because although they made an effort to socially distance us, the music was a bit too loud coupled with the conversations of multiple groups. To defeat this purpose they sat a party of 2 right next to us. Effort out the window.

For some reason there is a separate outdoor seating area that is adjacent to the alleyway and alley parking. So if someone leaves and fires up the ole AMG you might get a face full of exhaust while eating. 😋 Yum, 91 Octane.

We still preferred to stay. Worthy tradeoff. I believe where we were sitting was apart of the wine lounge and not apart of Grays but directly connected. They didn't care where we sat.

The food: I ordered the Lemon Chicken. It took a good 20min to come out so I'm assuming it was made fresh. The portion was very small so 20+ bucks at first sight I thought to myself quality over quantity. I was right. It was actually really good. I asked for the sauce on the side so I could get a good taste of the quality of the chicken by itself. It reminded me of the organic chicken I get from Belcampo. In the pic I had already started eating. I'm fat.

The sauce just sent it over the top. It was very rich. Not too tangy, not too sweet. I wasn't full but I was satisfied. I've definitely had better and they could have cooked the potatoes more but it was good.

The service was as attentive as you'd expect when a restaurant is busy and except for a simple lapse of memory by the waitress I have no complaints.

We ordered drinks. Jack and coke came in a tall glass. Maybe more coke than jack. Jameson on the rocks. Nice big singular rock. Doesn't taste watered down. Decent portion. Not sure of the price.

I never pay attention to the prices of drinks at places like this but in the end the bill came to just under 74 bucks. Not bad. I don't remember how many drinks we ordered. I was drinking.

All I know is this place was worth slapping a big face on the table and walking out no change. So obviously a moderate tip was warranted.

Overall. I recommend. 😁

Fantastic service, great space although the tables were kinda small. The food is excellent, everyone enjoyed their meal. The food is pricey for what you get, but the soup was sensational.

Highly recommend the stuffed French toast! It was sweet and delicious without being too heavy or rich

Their cocktails were also amazing, you HAVE TO try the covfefe if you like coffee and slightly sweet cocktails!

The atmosphere is also nice in the semi outdoor seating area
They do seem a little short staffed, even when they only had a couple of tables of people there were long wait times

Really great place to have great food and drinks. Their food selection can be enjoyed by almost all types of diners, from meat lovers to the health conscious.

The atmosphere's nice, though it can get noisy, depending on the other customers present at the time. Parking can be a challenge depending on the time of day.

The servers are attentive and friendly, and the performer on the piano is amazing.

There wasn't a dish that I did not enjoy. From the Halibut Truffle and Sea Bass Peach to the Japanese Wagyu , each one was enjoyable. And the service was quite friendly! This is definitely now one of my go-to places in the neighborhood.
