Amazing sailing club with beautiful views, it's easy to get help, all the equipment is accessible, and a welcoming team!
I haven't been to Chances R for a while. Today I went there for lunch. I found they
upgraded their game. The food was very tasty. Our server Leslie was outstanding! We had a bit of a mix up on the patio and inside and the hostess was very accommodating with our request to go indoors because of the wasps. I'll be back for sure 👍

One of my favourite local Chinese restaurant. Feel in love with the food when I moved to the area, and order from uber when I just want an easy night. The combination plate is always stuffed to the brim with food that tastes amazing. The wanton soup is always hot and tastes delicious.
Yellow curry and Fish Singapore pad thai are both my favorite. Recommend.

It was fine. But man, if you go there for a BBQ, make sure they cook their burgers. A big chunk of them were sent back cause they were severely undercooked.
A family outing during our visit to Ottawa. The restaurant was quite crowded for a Wednesday night, which is a good sign. The food was quite good according to my companions. I ordered pork ribs with fries. The ribs were well cooked, maybe a little too much for some, but I was fine with that. The fries, however, were a total dud! Greasy, soft, soggy, and lacking any crunch. Fortunately, they were not salted.

Chances R at College Square is a great spot for a casual meal. They have a wide variety of options, including meat, seafood, and vegetarian dishes. The atmosphere is cozy with a bit of a nostalgic feel. The service is friendly, and the food is solid. I especially enjoyed the crab cakes and the burger. It's a reliable choice if you're looking for a relaxed place to eat with family or friends. I am strongly recommend it. It's a good place to go if you're not sure what you want, as they have something for everyone.

We were there last night with some friends who are members. We had a great meal-the California wrap is really good! And then the music started. Our friends told us they'd seen this band before and that we would enjoy them and they were so right! Two guys, one with amazing guitar skills and the other one with an incredible voice. He can sing everything from old blues songs to folk stuff to rock classics, exactly our wheelhouse. Pat and Searle (spelling?) were their names and they were great. We'll be coming back for the great food and especially for the music!

Chances R at Woodruff and Baseline is an excellent, must try if you are celiac. They have a separate fryer and grilling area. They take celiac disease very seriously; plus they also have GF beer (Glutenberg Blonde). Ask to be seated in Yonna’s section, she is amazing and absolutely 💯knowledgeable!

We went for brunch and I had the Texas Omelette with home fried potatoes.

Had a very nice time here with my friend. Breakfast options, smoothies and fruit salad were very fresh! Service was also very good. It was pretty busy too, seemed like they had a senior discount day.

Had a Really wonderful experience with great service and atmosphere.
Food is the bestttttt hereeee and if you go to bar ask for Ali , he is the best and ask for his coffee special martini. The poutine here is best in the city for sure same quality as compared to Zak’s with well taken care of hygeine. Try chicken burgers also. Everything is worth for money and very affordable.

The food here was good, everything tasted like made in-house, the smoked meat was just a plain sandwich, toasted bread, and smoked meat no lettuce, tomato, or buttered bread, it was delicious but purely meat lover. Getting up to get your food is a little twist they have here, no real table service. The atmosphere is great so calm and relaxing, the live music was a nice touch to the vibe of the Galley, and the patio has an amazing view, the locals here are friendly, and some love to stare if you don't fit the customer demographic.

First time at this Club and it was great! We had penne (dining companion said it was spicy). I had a burger and fries. Burger was nicely cooked and tasty. Drinks were good too and the view is special! Watching the boats come in and the view of the marina, from the outside patio, is really nice. You do not have to be a member to eat there. They also had a large back room (see photos) and a secure, outside tent on the grass level for a picnic

We had an excellent experience after my daughter's dance rectial. The food came fast and hot. Everything was delicious! It was busy and didn't affect the food. Love the fact that lots of options for all those who had speciality restrictions.
I ordered basil chicken fried rice.
Rice was totally dry and taste was below average compared to other thai express

Terrible experience. The woman who took my order was very rude and condescending. Food was pretty bad, tough and stringy chicken and flavourless fried rice. I would recommend any other Chinese establishment than this one. Stay far away.

Not sure what is happening to this place, but it's not what it used to be. Very cheap nachos; drizzle of queso cheese. A sprinkle of actual cheese. Loaded in abundance with olives, tomatoes and other vegetables. Very random.

Wings were tasty,

There were 6 people in the entire restaurant on a Saturday evening?

Very odd experience, this place and its food used to be next level.

Overall Alex was good, thank you for the attention spent to our table.

All I can say is wow! You walk into a very unassuming restaurant and there is a pleasant greeting right on entry. Our server was very attentive and never missed an opportunity for a coffee refill. He was very also very pleasant. The food was excellent. Some of the best tasting spring rolls I've had and the sauces were the perfect compliment. This experience was lovely from entering all the way to the "Thank you for coming" when leaving.

Crowded, friendly workers, too much coffee.
Juice isn't fresh , store bought.
Food was okay, just too much aside that it was a lovely experience for my first time.
Had to order one at home, tho lol.
Store is always clean and employees are always very nice. I keep getting the pad see ew with extra sauce and the rice noodles are always in tiny pieces and dry at this location. I am two bites into my bowl in the pic attached.
I'm someone who likes spicy food and can handle extreme spice. But whenever I go in person or oder online they never make it spicy. It's as if I'm not taken seriously on my spice tolerance and they assume I can't handle it.

I really enjoy going here on Thursday. It's my go to place for wings and a drink. The staff here are very nice and friendly. I really enjoy the ambiance and it's a very pleasant dining experience good for small groups. Give them a try, you won't be disappointed.

First time to the Barley Mow on Merivale. They were able to accommodate 7 of us at 7:45 p. m. Service was great! Food was really good..we had a variety of meals .. I had fish and chips and must say the batter was light and fish was flaky, white and thick.... Haddock. The slaw was excellent. So big I had to bring half of it home. The others enjoyed their varies meals, eg. Burgers, butter chicken, chicken wrap..... They all said their meals were very tasty! And we didn't have to wait for drinks, our server checked on us all the time. Very attentive and it was packed house because it was Saturday and they had a live band that was very good. Lots of dancing going on!!! Good place to go for a fun evening!!

The staff was quite friendly, and accommodating to a large group of people. A bunch of us from work went out from lunch. The food was excellent and very tasty and seemed like everyone else enjoyed their selection.

As for the restaurant, there was a fireplace in the middle and a stage in the back. I'd guess they have live music sometimes. We were in the back room, which seemed designated for large reservations. Likely this place can be used to host events. However, that is just by observation. You would have to ask.

I ordered wings and paid $18 for a few that weren't delicious, so I had to throw them in the garbage. Next time, I'll try sitting at the bar and not ordering meals there.

I went there not knowing it was trivia night on a Wednesday, and I had a good time.

The food was good: deep-fried collie flower was fantastic.

The calamari was decent, and the sauce was great, but the breading was average.

The staff was great, some better than others. The guy running the trivia night was great.

Would recommend hitting up trivia night again.

Old fashioned not so great. Better bourbon selection would be nicer but overall, it's all good.

Good, Neat, clean and tidy! I bring my snacks over there and eat my snacks at breaktime.
I am a chomper!

Has a great and good fireplace, accepts dining-in, take out and so on and has lots of Games!! WOW! I love that place and when I forget to take my snacks, I will order over there.

And it was very good there was a good fireplace and many things I've seen the dot matrix printer was quite soft and I could handle it next time with my identity card I will pay after I have ordered my snack if I forget.

I've been here three times as of now and the bar tender is absolutely amazing. He not only remembered me and greeted me with a smile but also remembered what I ordered previously and fixed my order when a mistake was made do to miss communication on my part (a mix up between the seasonal bear and the seasonal cocktail) furthermore the restaurant staff are very friendly and on top of things as well. All around great staff and great food.
The place was clean, the bathroom was nice and smelled clean, the kitchen seemed clean and organized.

The cashier was nice and patient with us when we were having problems with our credit card.

Anyway, food tasted a littleeee burnt, but it was still really good, we've had worse pad Thais for sure, and we were quite happy with this one; at least it tasted like pad Thai, unlike in some other Thai expresses. Food was made quickly.

Overall, quite satisfied and would consider returning to this location, especially as there is plenty of free parking.
Great experience! The chicken pad Thai was a nice meal. It was cooked on time, in the order received. The personnel was pleasant and courteous. The regular hours of operation are 10AM to 10 PM, every day. The place was clean, and the chairs and tables as well. The restaurant was well lit, and featured a sports channel, with a sound just enough to be comfortable.

Parking is free and available.

With the timeliness of the meal preparation, the cleanliness of the place, the professionalism of the personnel, this place is recommended.
Not bad at all. The food arrived to my room hot and fresh off the griddle. The rice was plentiful and delicious. Not over sauced at all. Alot of places add sauce while preparing the meal and it is way way overpowering But not this. It was full plates and fresh. Well seasoned and again hot. I ordered a combo plate. Fried rice with Teriyaki chicken and beef and vegetables half and half. Again,, this was so so good and plentiful. Had enough for lunch the next day. 4 out of 5 on this one. I would have liked to have seen the full portion of the plate used for the entrees and the small sections used for the rice.

My first time playing this course since the change in layout.
They ruined it. 6 par 3s now, most of them just over 100 yards. The nice long par 5s are gone....While the course was in excellent shape as always, it is no longer worth the $78 taxes in green fee. Sorry.
We had our wedding reception here, and I’m so happy we did. The staff were all amazing on the night and Jamie did a wonderful job on the menu.
I would highly suggest this location for an event, even if you are not a member.

Played the course today for the first time since the redesign. While it is a par 70 the yardage at 5200 from the whites does not warrant a $100 price tag with cart. Sorry Stonebridge but this is a one and done for me after 4 years since the original design. 3 par threes of a 100 yards is very disappointing.
Gorgeous golf course, greens were moderately fast, rough we’re actual rough and hard to play out of. Fairways are like carpet immaculate as we’re the tee boxes. Well worth the price
Played the full 18 yesterday for the first time. Not a huge fan of the new layout - but I guess money talks so they needed to add more housing (houses along the 6th will either get a ton of balls in their backyards...or broken windows).
Re: GPS - I played the temp 9 last year on it's opening week. The Marshal said they'd have their GPS ready the following week. I played it ~3-4x the rest of that year and they kept saying the same thing each time. It's been a full year now - get the GPS going!!!
Course was in pristine condition, but $95 is pretty steep considering.

A rather ordinary pub with bare bones decor and very sombre atmosphere. Despite being a slow night, service was sub par at best. Food was passable. Chicken burger was delicious. The Malaysian Chicken was more of a soup. The waiter never asked what “sides” we’d like. Another server came by, as ours hadn’t been in awhile and asked if we need the original server to come see us. Rather than take our clearly finished plates, she chose to leave them at our table. The upper floor patio was great, last time I was here… as it wasn’t my first time at Barley Mow. The menu, however has changed and despite it looking great, it falls short on variety and imagination. It’ll be a long time before I give this place another chance. Not worth the $!

Course is in superb condition, great Men’s League, friendly staff.
Although not of championship length, Stonebridge has everything for the average amateur. The course is in excellent condition. There is trouble left and trouble right on 11 of 18 holes (many water holes) and most holes are very visually appealing. The club has a vibrant and fun Men’s League with 80+ participating each week.

We were a group of 10, so that's probably why there was a longer wait time to get food but our server was great. I also liked the fact that there is a military discount on food for members.

Easily one of the best places for food in Ottawa. Such a sweet and kind couple that always provides the best service and food quality. My partner and I have visited there before and the food is always fresh and just warm enough to be ready for eating, while not too hot to burn your tongue. The portion size is extremely large and generous, worth every penny easily. A fantastic place to get food and a great couple you will meet in the process!

The course is decent, but it is quite overpriced for what it is. Par 70 track with slow greens, paid $95. It’d be a much higher review if I didn’t pay so much for mediocre quality.
Paid $346 for a twilight foursome. Get to the 10th hole and get approached by an employee who says “you can’t play 18 if you only pay for 9”. So unprofessional and strange for a high end course. If you’re going to accuse patrons of stealing from your course please do it in a kind manner or have your receipts ready. Horrendous.

This is the first time I have ordered from New Hong Kong and I'm very impressed. I ordered the #11 Vegetarian Combo Plate and it was a huge portion, so fresh and cooked perfectly. They were very generous with the tofu too. The tofu was the best I've had, tofu at other places is often sour or bitter. A great deal at $14.50.

Honestly this is one of my family's favourite places to get food. It can take some time to get it, but it makes sense - it's all made fresh.
The food is tasty and the portions are huge.
Lady who answers the phone is always energetic and nice. She has impeccable memory, it's been many years since we last ordered but she knew the name anyway

This was quite frankly a waste of money. The chicken balls were over half bread, some of the noodles just weren't cooked and were completely crispy, and our "hot & spicy" dish had absolutely no spice to it. This was gross.
STAY AWAY, ordered the new general thai ghost and thai my salad.
The cooks don't even know their own menu, they forgot to put the egg and the ghost sauce so I had let them know.
They took the food back put the egg on top and they gave me sriracha packages without even remaking the meal!
Unprofessional and against Covid regulations.
They even charged me 35 cents to put my meals in a bowl even though the salad already comes with a bowl.
Ridiculously low quality customer service.
It may look nice and perky in here but steer clear.
Clyde location beside the walmart is way tastier and better than this new spot.
Get some more competent people in this place for your own good.

How times have changed since the 3 years I last posted my review. The establishment has gone down the drain. I've been ordering from New H/K for over 15 years with no issues. However this time around something has gone "south". I placed my order online for delivery as usual. The sub total is $60.00. I usually pay on delivery as with tipping. I received an acknowledgment that my order will be delivered within 25 minutes. Forty minutes goes by; no delivery. I placed a call but no answer. Given I live a short distance from there I decided to drive to pick up the order. The woman comes out of the kitchen and asked for my phone# for which I provided. She couldn't find my order even though I told her it was placed online as I showed her the order and acknowledgment from my phone. She got agitated and repeated she never got the order. I left without reordering. The next day I received a text from the take out place saying they had rec'd my order and they had cancelled it with no explanation why and suggested to reorder. Recently I tried to place an order online and noticed they excluded delivery service and only pick up. The prices have skyrocketed not to mention shrinkflation. The portions have shrunk considerably for the price they charge. And the quality of food has dropped. Needless to day I've abandoned New Hong Kong.
