My daughter and I had lunch today in the restaurant, we changed our order which caused a problem. I wanted to say that Dawn was very polite and professional and even although it was not her fault she still apologised and we had a lovely lunch. Thank you

Came here for afternoon tea with my sister and mum. We are all vegetarian which was well catered for with egg, cheese, and cream cheese and cucumber sandwiches. We also had vegetarian sausage rolls and quiche which was really tasty. You got 2 scones each and several cakes - all delicious!
My mum has dementia and all the staff were amazing - taking her hand to show her to the table, checking in to see if we needed anything, patience while we helped choose her drink. Little things like this really make the difference. Would definitely recommend based on our experience today. Thank you to all the staff.

If I could give Zero stars I would . I was Fined for dropping a cigarette on the floor £90 fine . Which was rediculous , I asked if he wanted me to pick it up he said “well it’s up to you “ so if your going to fine me for this but not going to make me pick it up and put it in the bin then clearly you don’t care about the cigarette and just want the money . I have always shopped at Dobbies and spent a lot of money here , and from now on I won’t even be coming up here ever again . No signs up about the cigarettes / or chewing gum littering , just sneaky and want to Fine you . The bloke who fined me just clearly watching my every single move . Before I had gone into dobbies I had a cigarette and put it back in my ash tray container , but when I came out I just wasn’t thinking and put it on the floor . Just money grabbers to be honest !!! And when I was paying in Dobbies only 1 staff on the till and the queue was so long just put me off !!

A lovely afternoon at Dobbies on Tuesday. Staff were very helpful and friendly and atmosphere lovely. I regularly meet different friends and relatives here and have always been impressed by the service.

Luscious looking plants, well presented. Enjoyed sitting in the café with a coffee with a dear friend from 9am. Gets busy around 11 in there. Car park nearly full when we left. Good facilities with a soft play section, which has to be pre-booked for 1 hour sessions. Very helpful staff member Emma, but unfortunately they were sold out of what I wanted.

We visited today - BH Monday for lunch. We found the customer service unprofessional, impolite, and we were made to feel like we were an inconvenience. Service was slow and there was no conversation. Waiting staff looked scruffy, bored and disinterested. I'm sure that this isn't how Dobbies wants to be represented. The only positive was the food.

decided to have our two free coffees on today Tuesday 19th, as we are members….. Gave up as que was so very long. We have queued for at least twenty minutes in the past, and this has not improved. We appreciate staff are doing their best, but this is not acceptable for the elderly to stand for such a long period of time. We do think that the restaurant and coffee bar should have an increase in staff… Considering cancelling both of our memberships if this does not improve….

A long queue to get in what seemed a quiet restaurant, older man that showed us to seats was friendly. Ordered food and drinks after 15 minutes of getting to table, then had a card machine slammed on the table to pay prior (not a problem, but worth just talking to the guest and explaining that). Got the food (a fairly small lunch menu was on offer, mostly sandwiches). Which was missing chips, didn’t speak to any of the team after as didn’t get chance. Definitely wouldn’t return in the nicest way possible. Sadly, not even a goodbye on the way out.

Went for lunch. Great BLT, very pleasant flat white and awesome sticky toffee pudding with Cornish ice cream. Very good prices and very helpful and friendly staff.

We went for the second time to the Santas grotto Sunday 17th December 23 and were not disappointed. The whole experience is the best we have been to. A real effort put in by the whole team, the smallest Elf was so welcoming as were the bigger ones. My daughter is convinced she has finally met the real Santa, as he was the same one as last time, and has a real beard. So great you can use your own camera instead of rip off prices found elsewhere. Well done Santa and your team. Thank you Elm Court.

Santa's Grotto...I never post reviews, but wow, just wow! Went today with our 2 boys and it was so magical that I almost believed myself 😂 The Elves were fabulous, so full of energy and completely engaging and the wonderland rooms prior to meeting Santa were so well staged and lots of fun. Santa was incredible, my children (one of which is 7 and a little on the fence) said, he is definitely Father Christmas! Last year we spent a silly amount of money going to Lapland UK. I can hand on heart say that Elm Court....your Santa was better, what a phenomenal job he did. Thank you for such a lovely afternoon of Christmas magic.

Had a wonderful afternoon tea followed by some Christmas shopping. Picked up some beautiful decorations at a bargain price. Lovely helpful and friendly staff.

Absolutely fabulous. The Elves were brilliant with both adults and children. Had Autistic teenagers along with younger sister and even they joined in eventually. Santa was incredible and so good at ad libbing. Would recommend to everyone and probably the best Grotto I’ve experienced. Thank you. Merry Christmas!!

Plenty of parking, nicely laid out, great selection of products, well organised restaurant, friendly helpful staff, overall a perfect shopping experience!

Fantastic Christmas displays and such lovely, helpful staff. The ladies on the tills are always so cheerful. I would thoroughly recommend visiting.
Also the reptile centre is worth a visit. The staff are knowledgeable, and the animals are so well cared for.

A very cute shopping mall, plenty of good shop. They have big m&s and Sainsbury's. Some Nice Restaurants, Bella Pasta, Frankie and Benny, Nandos, Costa and Many more. plenty of parking space. Easy access from motorway.

I visited expecting to find what I wanted in the usual shops, but most of them weren't there any more.
What I found was a limited number of shops with overpriced items that just didn't interest me.
The small stalls in the walkway used to be brilliant, again nothing to draw me to spend.
I was in & out in less than an hour & I doubt I'll be returning.
Looks like bluewater next week then!

What you can expect from a good shopping centre. Good public facilities and well signposted. They could use more self storage for baggage. Overall I would give it a solid 4 stars...not 5 yet...

I recently visited Hempstead Valley Shopping Centre during my trip to Gillingham, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The shopping centre offers a wide variety of stores, ranging from popular high-street brands to smaller independent shops.

However, there were a few instances where I felt the customer service could have been more attentive, hence the deduction of one star. Additionally, while the variety of stores was good, I would have liked to see more options for dining and entertainment within the shopping centre.

Overall, Hempstead Valley Shopping Centre provided a satisfactory shopping experience. While it may not have completely blown me away, it offers a decent selection of stores and amenities for visitors. If you're in the area and looking for a convenient place to shop, it's worth a try!

My sister and I had a lovely lunch in the restaurant followed by a walk round the varied plant section. Afterwards we went into the shopping section and out of curiosity, the reptile department. There we encountered two very knowledgeable young people who were looking after the reptiles. I’m sorry I didn’t notice their names. A young lady with beautiful blond hair and a young man with a beard. They were feeding the reptiles and explaining all about their habitats and welfare in captivity to us. It was a treat to chat with two such lovely young people. Well done!

Hempstead Valley Shopping Centre in Gillingham is a great spot for a shopping spree! With a diverse range of stores, from fashion to electronics, it offers something for everyone. The ample parking and convenient location make it easily accessible. The food options are decent, though a few more dining choices would be appreciated. Overall, a pleasant place to shop and spend time with family or friends.

In desperate need of some more clothing shops and shoe shops. Has more than enough cafes and coffee shops now. Also Sainsburys need to bring back their changing rooms, I refuse to buy from there without trying on first as I don't have the time to keep bringing clothes back!
The free parking is great, and is a nice place to go for a coffee catch up with friends, especially Jamaica Blue for their lovely oat milk coffee and fab Vegan cakes!

First visit 6 hours free parking.
Large M&S had Jacket potato for lunch.
Well worth a visit if in area.
