A Chinese cuisine restaurant that is located at the far end corner of Straits quay mall Penang. There are outdoor and indoor sitting areas, whereby outdoor area can enjoy seaview.

The food quality is good and value for money. A table of 14 pax, with the order of 9 dishes, cost rm 460. The salted eggs prawns, grill chicken, mixed vegetables with curry are some of our favourite dishes. Besides, this restaurant also serving dim sum.

Service staff were polite and helpful in giving suggestions. Some of our guests are on vegetarian diet, and they recommended some tasty dishes.

Service: don't see foreigner waitress pouring tea for us but in another table. Could be improved.
Food: Laksa fish is very good. Iberico Ribs, meat a bit tough. A bit disappointment since people recommend me to try. Marmite chicken is good. Sar Hor Fun also tasty.

Very much appreciated Kar Wen the restaurant manager did a good job and made good arrangements for my wedding ceremony dinner. Food was so nice ! I will visit the sea queen restaurant for dinner. The wedding ceremony did not have time to eat much.

Good location for watching the countdown fireworks! Food was ok but the dessert (choc mint ice cream with jelly - something new to me) was awesome! Had a good view of the fireworks where we sat.

If you want real Thai dishes with the price of Penand dishes, then this is the place... I've tried many of the dishes here and it suits my taste well.

We booked for the night for a birthday. They had karaoke, food and some nice wine. It was great as the staff was always very attentive. The room can be booked if you spend over RM700. Only issue is the parking. Which is always very full.

I personally wasn't expecting this but I was quite impressed and enjoyed my dinner throughly. Ate in their vip room with a large group of people. Apparently their huge table can accommodate 18 diners comfortably. It's in Straits quay so parking was plentiful.

The food was generally delicious. The 3 standout dishes were the prawn on bread, tofu and pork ribs. I found the bread and prawn combination delightful. Simple but tasty delicious. The tofu meanwhile had a nice texture with great tasting gravy. The pork ribs could've been a tad bit more tender, I like ribs with meat that falls off the bones, but I can't fault the seasoning. Excellent choice to order here.

I found the veggie curry superbly cooked even though it has a crazy level of oil at its surface, you just need to dig into the lower level for the actual curry but the vegetables were cooked really well. And the pork slices, taugeh and soup were expectedly tasty. Not groundbreaking good but better than average.

The bitter gourd egg and tua pan were only so so. Below my expectation. Average but should be better. I was a little disappointed with the fish though. The meat was strangely hard, either freshness or oversteamed issue, while the taste of the sauce wasn't balanced enough for me.

Meanwhile the dessert was enjoyable. I found the Chinese pancake with red bean filling crunchy, hot from the oven and delicious. The fried cempedak was enjoyable if you eat it before it cools and the longan sea coconut pretty average.

All in all, a nice place for a group dinner. I would come again

Bought their food from ShopeeFood. Honestly, the seafood tomyum is good, decent, 3.5/5. Appearance of tomyum looked convincing, the portion of seafood for 1 person is quite a lot, the smell is nice. However, tastewise is decent, lacking the pekat pes tomyum taste but overall edible. The sotong goreng tepung is 1/5. The sotong so chewy and the coating of tepung is so badly done. Taste nothing like goreng tepung. Feels like you eat sotong rebus with unflavoured tepung. I can vouch Port Talam is better, please go there, guys. Now, for the price is affordable for RM27 got tomyum, nasi and sotong goreng tepung. Nasi is quite lot, so ok la but sambal belacan not free, sad a bit.

Tom yum soup not enough flavour. Kailan and fried eggs ok. Sotong was long rectangular type deep fried with powder. Chinese fried rice no taste.

Food are delicious but the waiting time too long even the restaurant not busy

If you are in hurry, better look for other restaurant. I have waited an hour for my food to be served. Maybe wrong timing to visit (Sunday, evening). Having high expectation on the tom yam soup to be tasty. However the taste was really bad. My Teh Ice also taste bad even asked for less sugar. But the sugar taste like more than usual. They really need to look into their food quality since I see so many people in the restaurant even with food delivery service.

The food was soo yummy. We ordered sup ayam, kangkung belacan & pakapao to be eaten with white plain rices. The drink was nice too. The price was normal & affordable. Worth every cents we spent here.

I would really recommend for those who want to eat tomyam, this is the restaurant you should consider first.

We love the set meals offered here. The set meals are for 2, 4 or more pax. They have ala carte as well. Even though a set meal, we can choose the style of cooking eg if the set has fish we can choose to have the fish steamed or have cooked as ikan masak merah or ikan masak pedas etc. Price is very reasonable and the food very delicious. The staff are friendly as well. Will add photos of my set meal next time. The food was so tempting that I just dug in and forgot to take photos😅

Nice food with reasonable price

If u want budget dinner for family u can come here they have complete package and below rm100 for 6~7people. They serve fried fish. Prawn. Fried vege. Tomyam. Squid and its very2 delicious

Worth while halal food, good for everyone who is hungry, good variety to feasting without frills, recommended

Must try:
1.Tomyam noodle soup - if you love food which is fiery and spicy. This dish will give you the kicks ('pedas giler') and a sniffy nose, but it may leave you feeling a bit thirsty later.
2. Satay in front the Sri Tanjung Tomyam Seafood: Aromatic grilled meat topped up with the crunchy gravy will leave you wanting for more.

There is also a stall selling halal western food, burgers and even halal Hokkien Mee adjoining Sri Tanjung Tomyam Seafood. Long waiting time as business is brisk.

All in all, great street food to satiate your hunger during dinner and late supper at reasonable prices.

Taste so good, awesome Malay food

The fried rice that I got is quite burnt and tasteless. The fried meat (daging masak merah) that comes with the fried rice are salty. However the meat is quite tender and the price is okay.

Excellent food reasonable prices. Well done.
