They have stolen did something with my children's insurance policies and mine. Keep saying they gave no record. I keep calling about mine and I never receive it.

A nice company

Great prices for a great product

You pay for the insurance to cover you for 11 years without any issues, and after needing help with your first claim they then send out a letter saying they’re dropping you. Just avoid this place.
The customer service is a joke, the supervisors I’ve spoken to are jokes, and I don’t see how this place is actually following the law.

I interned here in college came down with stage two cancer. After my surgery I unexpectedly had to stay in the hospital for a week until my organs were functioning again. The lovely people in this building terminated my position the moment I said I need time to recover.

They give their employees a couple hundred bucks to give 5 star reviews on all job websites. I even see some fake ones here. To adjust for that, I will write this story on their reviews every few months for the rest of my life 😁 👍🏼

I have had coverage for my classic car for the past 5 years with Grundy, through Philadelphia Insurance Companies, I had always thought that they were a very good company. One that cared about their customers and their customer's vehicles. Recently, after getting a dent on my classic car, my claim was denied. The denial letter stated that the appraiser confirmed that the damage was due to poor workmanship and/or a manufacturer's defect, and as such, they will not cover the loss as they consider it normal wear and tear. How can a dent possibly be considered normal wear and tear? How can a dent be considered either poor workmanship or a manufacturer's defect? I have six figures invested into a five-year professional restoration that was started 10 years ago and finished 5 years ago of this vehicle, I simply cannot believe that poor workmanship or a manufacturer's defect is to blame for the dent. Certainly, poor workmanship or a manufacturer's defect would have shown up prior to this, especially considering that the part that is dented was manufactured over 50 years ago.
When I try to contact the Claims Supervisor, Joseph Zampogna, I always get his voicemail. He claims he will return your call as soon as possible, however, I never receive a callback despite me leaving him numerous messages with my name, phone number, and claim number as his voicemail requests.
I will not give my business to any company that makes arbitrary, irrational claims decisions like this. If they won't cover a dent what do they provide coverage for?
Run, don't walk from this company for collector car insurance coverage!

My insurance agent isn't the best I have to call in my payments.

Be careful when applying for insurance because this company doesn’t support all the recreational activities it lists. I applied for insurance for my mountain guide company, but I was informed my insurance request was declined because I would be offering outdoor rock climbing which “creates too much exposure”. I could only assume that refers to dangers and liability in rock climbing. Yet the company lists rock climbing on the application.
It is illegal to list items or services that you offer or support and then tell customers/clients that you do not, in fact, offer or support them.
Please have your administrative team review and update the company application to reflect what you do offer/support and what you don’t.
I would also be curious to know if this company actually offers insurance for some of their other listed items, such as hunting, shooting range, whitewater rafting, scuba diving, and unguided ATV and snowmobiling because all of those activities can be, and are, more dangerous than rock climbing. There’s far more liability in those activities than rock climbing, I know this for a fact considering I am associated with individuals who work in all the activity fields listed above.
10/10 would NOT recommend this insurance company.

Had a leak on our roof and after having inspected I was told the roof had hail and wind damage. Filed a claim with my insurance company and they denied my claim because they stated my roof was old all the while my next door neighbor who is insured through Alfa was able to get their claim paid out and had their roof replaced. Same exact situation. I tried to have my claim
Reconsidered but was once again just sent a letter that said nothing new was found and that my claim was once again denied. This company will find any little reason to get out of paying out a claim. Their customer service is horrible. They never get back to you when you call. Now I’m trying to get switched over to a new insurance company because they are able to get me a better rate and are a much better insurance company than United national but these people apparently have not closed my claim so it’s causing me to get a higher rate than I should be getting. I just want to be done with this company for good and move on. Do yourself a favor and don’t let whoever is processing the financing of your home get you a policy with this company. You can get a much better policy for a better price somewhere else.

Worst Insurance company ever probably a scam I am paying them 2200 a month for truck insurance and recently a rock in a windshield wasn’t covered can’t even get anyone on the phone STAY Away scam Thomas

I love it but I hate that they call and I always pay

I had to give Kemper Life Insurance one star to write this review all though they don't deserve a star at all. Representative by the name Pat at Bala Cynwyd location don't know how to talk customers very arrogant argumentative. He said what he wanted to say and never listen to what the customers has to say and hung the phone up. So I have the last say cause I got to write this review . Now remember customers are always right and the best way to succeed in this business is by word of mouth poor service loses good customers Now I can take my service s elsewhere so long KEMPER

They do a fine good job. And I have fire insurance & I don't have to pay to much.

Been in business for a long time

I have been a client for 10 years. I now have been trying to call them for days and keep getting a busy signal. Have they closed and still taking my monthly payments? I will call the BBB if I do not get someone today.

I have had Insurance at this company for over 20 years. I recently decided to cash in a couple of my Insurance policies only to be given the runaround. I have been trying for over three months now and still haven't received all my surrender monies. They have no problem taking your money or canceling your policy if you don't pay on time, but when it comes to collecting your money, you have to jump through all their hoops and then some. I am not a happy customer right now, and I wouldn't recommend another person to this company. Very disappointed.

Extremely poor customer service. I'm still waiting for a refund check on a cancelled policy (it's been two months and counting). Getting any information or money back from this company is like getting blood from a stone.
The positive reviews (written mostly by employees) remind me of someone wearing a fake smile. I wonder if the staff are forced to write good reviews to keep their jobs? Logically, it's impossible for the employees to be so happy and the customers to be so unhappy. This doesn't add up. PHLY, you're not fooling anyone with positive employee reviews.

I am ready to leave and find another insurance. Something is going on with the company. Many of the agents have left. I've had about 6-8different agents in the past two years. They keep messing up with my payments. They let a agent get my personal information and I told them that there was a conflict of interest with that agent. This company has definitely gone down hill.

Serious mal practice going on.
I've had my policy for almost 20 years and as of past 4 months I haven't had an agent so no one has come out to collect my payment.
I tried sending it in via mail and they said they never received it and tried to cancel my almost paid up policy. I had to drive to thier office and pay in person to prevent my policy from canceling.
Terrible, terrible, TERRIBLE company as of late!
If you're thinking about purchasing insurance from here, Don't do it.

I been with them for 3 yrs but now I am going to leave them. I paid for 2 mos and only got credit for 1 month they claimed that they can't find my payment. Someone is keeping payments. Something is wrong because too many people are leaving. Customers and workers.

WARNING: Do NOT use them for business insurance!
I've been with Philadelphia Insurance company for about 4 years. I paid them thousands of dollars over that time period. I've never ever filed a claim.
But, this month, there was an incident, a client broke my new Macbook Pro laptop. The screen cracked to where it's not even usable anymore without replacing the screen. So last night, I filled a claim online with PHLY insurance. First off they didn't get back to me the next day or even emailed me anything about the claim. Mind you, this is my sole laptop for the company. Around 4pm the next day, I contacted their customer support. I had a chat with someone and then he told me who to contact about my claim. So, I reached out to the person handling my claim. Emailed him, he didn't email me back or anything. After waiting for a while, he finally called me, you'd think the person handling my claim would at least email me first before I had to call and email them, right?
Talked to him and thought there would be a solution, nope! After he asked me to send him over the price quote for the cost of repair, he told me that they'd not be able to go through with my claim. He said that there is a $1000 deductible to process my claim. So, basically, I'd lose money to get my business laptop fixed. Repair the laptop would cost around $838, this is a $3400 laptop, touchbar, with the latest specs. They said they'd not pay for the repair. So, just like that they dismissed me and pretty much said I was SOL.
Remember, I've been with this company for nearly FOUR YEARS, I paid them nearly 4 grand and never filed a claim during that time. Now, I needed them to pay $838 to fix my laptop, nope! They denied it! My loss wasn't great enough, they said it had to be a $1000 or more in damage for them to pay to fix it. What type of BS is that? Never, ever use this insurance. IdeaFit and ACE made them sound great but they're not! Philadelphia insurance company will gladly take your money but when it comes for them to fix your issue, they disappear.
Even if they only paid $500 worth of damage for the laptop I'd be fine with it. I've never had claims before and have paid a ton to them and can't even get a small claim approved/paid for? It happened at work and it's a business only machine. I can't charge the client for the damage because I'd end up losing that client. UGH!!! Never, use these guys! Save yourself the headache.
Do NOT use Philadelphia (PHLY) Insurance for your business. Not for Fitness, Yoga Pilates, property insurance, professional liability insurance, nothing. If you're a personal trainer, run and find another company. I'm cancelling my policy with PHLY and calling Liberty Mutual, The Hartford and Nationwide tomorrow to switch company to one of them.
To add insult to injury, I told them I wanted to cancel my policy when I was on the phone with them. He said I couldn't, I had to contact my agent. They couldn't even transfer me to the guy. They want my money but not actual help me, bad company.
99% of the positive reviews on this Google page are from employees that were forced to leave them. I should have done my research before singing up with them. smh.

I have been with PHLY for over 2 years and have had an extremely positive experience. The leadership team is committed to making PHLY a great place to work which is shown by the numerous awards we have won such as Best Places to Work and Top Workplaces in Philadelphia. Their commitment to giving back to the community is a true testament to what the organization is about. I highly recommend working at Philadelphia Insurance Companies!

This has to THE WORST insurance company ever!!! I've had this insurance for over 40 years and I am 51!!! Trying to talk to the agent in the local office is almost impossible and don't even think about calling customer service in Chicago..........OMG!!!!!!!!

I've been with PHLY for over 13 years. PHLY cares about their employees' growth and development in addition to providing exceptional service to our customers. They are always giving back to the community! They are a great organization to work for and to do business with!
