This incident has been particularly challenging as I navigate several obstacles. I am experiencing discrimination at my dental office during my monthly Invisalign check-ups. Following the relocation of my previous orthodontist, Dr. Tong, they sought a new provider to manage my treatment. Unfortunately, the new orthodontist appears to lack awareness of how to meet my communication requirements.

During our consultations, she suggested that I bring my personal interpreter to facilitate discussions about my Invisalign treatment and the potential transition to braces in an upcoming appointment. In an effort to educate her about my rights under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), I presented information via my phone, hoping to foster understanding of my needs. However, she displayed a reluctance to engage in this discourse, indicating that she would not provide an interpreter to support my communication needs.

Despite my attempts to employ technology, specifically utilizing speech-to-text applications on my phone, to bridge the communication gap, I was met with resistance. This experience has underscored the systemic challenges faced by individuals with disabilities or hearing impairments in healthcare settings.

I am seeking assistance in locating an orthodontist with a similar level of expertise as Dr. Tong, who is knowledgeable about and committed to accommodating patients with disabilities. Furthermore, I believe it is essential to share my experiences to raise awareness and prevent similar situations for others. I am also contemplating filing a formal complaint regarding the discrimination I have faced and the inadequate provision of necessary accommodations.

I contacted Rene at the front desk via phone relay to discuss a recent incident affecting my rights under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). I was disappointed by her dismissive response to my concerns. Despite my efforts to communicate the specifics of my situation, she neglected to acknowledge the critical information I provided. The entire team at this location seems disengaged and demonstrates a systemic reluctance to implement appropriate accommodations for my disability.

The need for improvement in the accessibility of disability accommodations is critical. Unfortunately, the daily barriers have become a consistent hindrance throughout my life, and this issue must be addressed and resolved. Such obstacles must be eliminated to ensure a diverse and inclusive environment for everyone. This situation cannot continue as it is; change is necessary to protect the rights and well-being of all individuals with disabilities.

This location has gone down hill. The doctors and Orthodontist have become so rude and don't know what they are doing. They are over charging you for your work and when it comes to your Invisalign, dentures, partials, and retainers they take months to come and when they do arrive they are all wrong, because they don’t know how to fit your mouth so that they are shaped correctly.They put your braces on wrong and take them off too soon The female orthodontist has a very nasty attitude, a very rude disposition and a smart mouth. You can never speak to anybody in that office that is willing to help you. They don’t give you their corporate number and the office manager is no help and never available even though you can see her just setting in her office. Me, my family and friends have been going here for years and this is by far the worst set of doctors this location have had! This location I once bragged about , too now having to let it be known don’t go here. As soon as Open enrollment , this Dentist office is history.

Great assistants!!! Renee at the front, THE BEST. She is always bright and bubbly even when she is very busy. Dr. Taddessee Phenomenal, where has he been my whole life? Dr. Huynh the best Orthodontists they have had, makes sure you get your cleaning not just about braces but the over all health of your teeth.

Love the receptionist, very friendly and helpful. Caring Dentist and Assistant. Just had my permanent crown put on! It’s great! The doctor was amazing and same with the staff!

Terrible front desk receptionist with a very nasty attitude. I’ve experienced a few nasty responses from this one lady. This is my home dentist office and I needed information to send to a referred office. When I explained what I needed, the receptionist responded with “Well who are you”. Like huh?? “Can I have your name” would have been the proper response but she clearly lacks the professionalism of decent customer facing employee. This company fulfills what I need as far as cleanings, X-rays, etc and Dr. Taddessee is great. But the customer service experience with this one receptionist has been awful

The staff at the front desk are very friendly, professional and have gone out their way to assist on the phone and in person. For the past two years, it's s been hard finding a good dental office until now. I believe I'll be making Dental One of Oxon Hill my primary dental office. I recently had my semi-annual check-up and cleaning and couldn't be more pleased with the results. In addition to that, I had to have one of my crowns replaced. So far, I feel like I'm in very good hands with Dr. Tadessee and the staff that worked closely with him on my crown.

I recently got 4 wisdom teeth removed ! And baby let me telll youuu !!! The way the doctor was so quick with it , I was so scared to get it done but she truly helped w my anxiety and I was done in the matter of 30mins !!! Def recommend!

I been going to this dentist for years! And they change doctors every year , no one never stays at this location. They seem to be in a rush. Monday the dentist pulled 4 wisdom teeth without my permission and didn’t tell me until I was on anesthesia. She should’ve acknowledged the work she was going to do before she did it! Because now I’m forced to be off 2 weeks and heal myself when I wasn’t there or prepared for all 4 teeth to be taking out my mouth. Very poor dentist I hate it here

I have a great experience at CDC. The office staff is very pleasant and checks me in quickly and answers any questions I may have. Dr. Peter Merai is great. I’ve been going to him for years. He’s very patient with me asking questions and explains things clearly. I’ve referred family and friends who have seen and are also very, very satisfied with Dr. B. Merai. She also has patience and explains things well. They both work with you to have the best dental experience possible in a very caring environment.

Dr Peter Merai is an excellent dentist. My husband and I continue to be very pleased with the variety of specialized service provided us over the past five years.
We would not hesitate to highly recommend him as we have done in the past years.

I truly enjoy visiting this location. The staff is always pleasant. They make you feel so comfortable while cleaning your teeth. The view of the mail street is so nice but also watching TV while your exam is being performed is an added touch.

I love iBrush family dental care in Oxon Hill, been taking my kids for years. The best thing about this dentist office is that my kids love the staff there, and Dr. Johnson is amazing especially with the kids.

It is always a pleasure coming to the dentist because Dr,Meral make you feel at ease and she does excellent work.The place is cleanand the entire staff is friendly and helpful.You do not have to wait long to be served.Kudos.

Dr. Peter Meri is absolutely amazing, love his chair side manner, he puts me at ease every time I sit in his chair.

Thanks again to the office of Dr. Peter and Michelle Merai for the excellence service I received on 5-28-2024. Dr. Peter had to cut my gum to insert an implant. I received stitches, along with two prescriptions one for pain and one for antibiotics. After many years of treatment with Dr. Merai again there was some discomfort, but the pain pills were not needed only the antibiotics.

I have the best experience when I go to the dentist. The entire team is professional courteous and always ready to assist. The office is always clean and state of the art technology allows Dr. Merai to complete the task and assignment. 5 out of 5 stars for me

The team at the Oxon Hill location truly are top tier! My 5 year old daughter came in with her permanent knocked out and one tooth in her gums. This team executed with extremely professionalism. The team truly is unmatched. From guiding my autistic daughter thru the procedure to helping me relax. There were many risk that the tooth might change colors(grey) and/or die but by the grace of God and THIS TEAM. My daughters teeth are back in and doing amazing

I love visiting and receiving top notch service from both Dr. Merai. The friendliness of the staff and the environment has always been superb. I am always pleased with the work done on my teeth. Dr. Michelle Merai explains to you thoroughly what needs to be completed in step by step detail. She is so down to earth and keeps her patients calm throughout any procedure .

I wanted to post that today two of my girls had a dentist appointment, and I was beyond happy on the care that was giving to them Dr. Wilson, was amazing with how patient she was talking to my girls who is 11 and 13 she made them feel so comfortable, her assistants was excellent also, shot out to Ms. Morgan, and Mr. Jason. Job well done.

It was a great experience for Kennedy with Dr. Johnson, Ms. Kanay, and Ms. Janice and I couldn’t have asked for a better doctor and assistants for her!! Kaliah’s experience with Dr. Wilson and Ms. Morgan was great as well!! Thank you guys we really appreciate y’all for your patience with my girls!!

Dr. Michelle is very pleasant and personable and takes her time to care for your teeth, just like they were hers. Pam, the receptionist is always pleasant, knows her work and extremely knowledgeable of her job, as well! It's always a pleasure seeing them when coming into their office!

Never ever that’s all I have to say that’s a hood dental office I don’t recommend They had me ready for service & left me & went to another office,Then came back another day for services & no one didn’t no what I was there for & drove there from Md for No appointment….Bad service I would not go there if you paid me.

Dr. Wilson and her assistant Morgen are amazing 🤩 Dr. Wilson was fast with her work and Ms. Morgen comfort my son while he was getting his fill-ins 10 out of 10 I would recommend to my friends and family.

This place and staff was very informative and they cared about my feeling and child bless the whole staff and their intelligence ....they staff corrected me and taught what I did not know and they help me feel better after I cried and I apologize do to my scare....but my child had laughing gas and she was in her own world.....
