Unconditional Surrender sculpture! Must see and staple of San Diego. Recreate the moment and enjoy the marina area.

Beautiful part of san diego. You could walk along Seaport village back and fort and visit the museum across the statue

Beautiful sculpture with the USS Midway in the background. The walk is also nice with other monuments on the trail. There is a parking lot nearby.

Wonderful spot with alot of history. Nice views. Good area to walk around

The statue itself was a lot bigger than I thought it was going to be, and the Bob Hope tribute was very nice too. Hopefully the younger generation will see these and look up what they are about. I appreciated it.

Such a beautiful experience! I have always wanted to check out this gem. Every time me and my husband visit San Diego we forget. We decided to do a day trip and make this sight a part of our visit bucket list. We parked about a mile away just so we can take in on a walk and see all the beautiful lights at night. Absolutely stunning!!! It wasn't crowded at all. The statue is well lit and everyone around is so kind and helps take your perfect picture. I can't wait to go back and see it again. Next time I will do a day visit. There is so much beauty that surrounds the unconditional surrender. An experience I can only imagine but feel as we have a lot of military family. So I know this gem has heart.

Such a beautiful statue/symbol of the end of WWII. Wow. I am blown away at the beauty and power of this piece. It actually made me emotional seeing this for the first time ever in person! Wow. It was so much bigger than I imagined, and learning the background of what it meant was so beautiful. Thank you to everyone who made this statue come to life. Very cool; a must-see in San Diego!

Such a nice place to visit. It opens 24/24 but parking is so hard big times esp at the weekend. We came to visit it on Wed afternoon but still had to park almost a mile away.
I do love the statue and the story behind it. Hanging out with your beloved ones or sitting on the grass are perfect to enjoy a nice day.
Don't forget to spend at least one or two hours visiting the USS Midway Museum nearby. They close at 5pm but the last check in has to be before 4pm. We missed that 🤣.
