Top Southern Italian restaurants in Berlin, Germany

Used to love it in its older location across the street and the food and service was outstanding. Now it’s nothing compared and it’s trying too hard to be a fine dine but the food and attention to detail is poor, we didn’t get cutlery and had to ask, drinks menu wasn’t provided even on asking, we had to keep looking around to call the staff and no one paid attention. Unfortunate.

A nice place with delicious food. Very kind and helpful waiters. I ate the grilled sea bream and it was delicious and the fish was of excellent quality. Recommend if you want taste a piece of Italy (and Sicily) in Berlin.

Hi tried for the first time “Tortelloni al tartufo” and I found that it was really filled with love! 😍

Used to be amazing earlier, seems like with the new location, the staff and chef have also changed. Huge difference with terrible pasta now and pretentious service + refusing to give a wine menu even on request and only taking verbal orders in order to hide the price. No decent restaurant should deny that!

On July 24 we have had dinner in this restaurant. The complete experience has been amazing. The owner Giuseppe, stated his first restaurant in Sicily when he was 15 and now at the age of 22 he owns together with his brother Davide and his father this great place in Berlin. The attention Giuseppe is giving to all his guests is something I have never faced before. Having lived for 7 years in Italy and therefore quite experienced with Italian hospitality, this has been the best! The quality of the food, no menu card because they decide every day what to offer to the guests based on the offerings they can find at their suppliers.
I had to come to the kitchen seeing my main dish being prepared :-) Just trust on them and you will have the best evening ever.
I will for sure return and will pass on Poveracci to everybody I know traveling to Berlin.

Really tasty food, specially fine pasta. The restaurant is ideal for celebrations or friends dinners since it gets to a party mood at late night. Very friendly service.

Food is good but does not justify the price. 70€ for 2 pasta dishes, a glass of house wine and a bottle of water is way over the top. Unfortunately another Torstr place where value for money is off.

We stumbled upon this place while visiting Berlin and we’re lucky to get a table without a reservation - I would definitely recommend getting reservations!

I had the tortellini with truffles and it was amazing . My boyfriend had ravioli and it too was great but the truffle sauce is better !

We shared an antipasto plate and a dessert plate. And when the dinner was over he brought lemoncello shots and left the bottle. We ended up drinking the entire bottle! We spent hours drinking and laughing and enjoying the vibe. This was a special night on our trip and I am grateful to have found this delicious place!
