Just fancied fish and chips but most places closed on Sunday. These guys were open so tried it. Wow fish cooked to order so OK had to wait but well worth it. Really nice fish. Chips were good too and the dogs enjoyed their sausage. They also take card which really helped

This fish and chip shop is absolutely the best fish and chips ever! Always delivered hot and fresh very tasty and always delivered before time given if I could give more than 5 stars I absolutely would highly recommend 10/10

I was looking for somewhere to get fish and chips delivered and found Boundry Fish Bar.
To say I was pleasantly suprised is a understatement. Food arrived in good time also still hot. The food itself was lovely, fish was perfect and chips was nice. Didn't expect that quality at all and will definitely be ordering from there again.

Great value for money, large portions and such competitive pricing compared to another popular NR3 chippy. I can not comment on atmosphere as we opted for home delivery.

Our order was delivered quickly and it arrived piping hot, wrapped well and was absolutely delicious. We would definitely order again and highly recommend to others.

OH my god where do i begin! The rice bowl is elite. I know you dont go to a fish and chip shop for a rice bowl but its one of the best i ever tried. Nothing in Norwich competes. Must TRY! Super friendly staff.

It's a solid chippy, I've had their chips, cheesy chips and sausages and their all solid

Food - Can't fault it, the chips aren't oily and the sausages are well battered, the portions are huge and they're well priced too!

Service - Friendly and chatty

Atmosphere - It's a bit tired, the fabric on the chairs is a bit ragged but it's clean and you're in there to grab some chips and leave, it does that well.

Accessibility - Relatively narrow door and high counters.

First time trying here. Perfectly cooked chips, haddock is delicious as well as the saveloy. It's probably the least greasy fish and chips we've had so far.

Ordered a large cod, battered jumbo sausage & gravy, very nice & tasted spot on, had good packaging when ordering online through Just Eat, only issued I had was the delivery status wasn't being properly updated, it didn't show me if the courier was on their way, had the courier show up even though the app said it was still being prepared, other than that issue, the food was good.

Great food very friendly staff but had to await a little while as very busy and people who came before me was served before me and all I was waiting for was chips

We were very disappointed with our large cod and chips this Sunday evening. It was the smallest fish we have ever got as large. Unfortunately, we will try using other takeaways in the future.

I’m hooked! Can’t stop these cheeky chippy visits when I know I shouldn’t but it’s just sooo sooo good!! Food is always hot a fresh no matter what time you go. Staff are so friendly.. You know what?.. just take my rent money while I gather that winter weight! And yes I’m eating it as we speak.

Just realised I went here instead of another fish and chip shop 🙃 sorry but worst chip I’ve ever had. Was soaking wet with grease and the fish was burnt. It was literally sitting in a puddle of oil on my plate. Disgusting

So impressed with the service and the quality of our fish and chips haddock and cod both very good well cooked with a lovely batter and very generous size compared to others. Same applies to the chips and the price is also probably unbeatable.
Will definitely use again

Very nice food quick delivery but ordered £30+ worth of food and got 4 veg spring rolls instead of curry spring rolls and wasn't keen on them. Shame as spoilt the meal for us in the end.

My name is Christine, I had eight people coming for a fish and chip tea. I had not used the Trawlers Chip Shop before so I phoned ahead to order.
A nice man answered the phone. I told him I wanted rock and chips, five times and cod and chips, three times
The men had a bit of difficulty understanding what I wanted, but after we had a laugh and a joke, we got there. In the end, I went and picked it up best fish and chips we’ve ever had all my guests was Happy. I asked him to do very light batter and he did. It was lovely and crispy, but not loads of it We asked for a sausage with no batter for the dog. He was so nice, he gave us it free of charge.
I have been back there since he remembered me he even came around and shook hands with me. I explained why I could not have thick better as I have a problem with digestion. He understood will use it again and recommend him to my friends.

This chip shop has changed owners. It used to be excellent now it is far from it!
"We ordered: 2 Unbattered Jumbo sausages, a fish cake, Pineapple fritters (2), Onion rings & large chips.
Window states they are frying new potatoes, they are not!
Pineapple fritters fried together, 2 battered as 1 then fried, not 2 seperately (picture shows this), batter inside is RAW & pineapple is mushy, gross!
Chips are RAW in the centre of the larger chips.
Onion rings are just mushy inside, no onion!
Sausage & fish cake are generic types that you get from any chippy.
Shop assistant struggled to understand the order, we had to repeat unbattered 3 times.
Won't be returning here!

very good was open to 10pm on a Saturday night rung about 9.20pm to place my order as new they were shutting soon had a ready when i got there! food tasted great to! would use again

The guy that runs the shop was the nicest person I have encountered in a fish and chip shop ever. The food is brilliant. We didn’t have cash so he said to bring the money back next time but we ended up bank transferring him. He also gave us an extra chips for free because I put vinegar over my chips and my girlfriend doesn’t like vinegar. This owner has put my faith back in humanity. Quality owner, quality food!

Clean and tidy fish and chip shop. Scampi was very good, the chips were excellent, crispy but soft inside and my large battered sausage was also very good. Staff very polite and helpful. Parking outside shop on the road, can get very busy. Can certainly recommend.

OMG! Really not the best. Down from East London and thought we may get some decent fish n chips. Sorry but no. Cods n chips 3 times and it was so over cooked and dry. My son had raw chips and the wally was hard and just horrible. The bloke may of given my other half 2 bits of fish as there was no large size ready-he should not have bothered - really not nice wont go again or recommend.

The fish and chips we had was everything I've looked for all these years. Both the fish and the chips exceeded my expectations, and satisfied my cravings.

Got 3 Fish & Chips for the family. Cooked to order so they are fresh when we got them. Batter was crispy and light. Fish was full of flavour. Tasted great. Just as good as ones from Whitby.

I totally love this star fish bar I order from here last week and my niece bought back home some of the star fish bar chips and southern fried chicken. And there chicken was really nice but there chips are tasty and delicious. I will look forward to coming back to star fish bar chippy.

The man who delivered was very pleasant. The chips were quite good, but ohhh the haddock or what there was of it. Little separate bits of fish nestled in the very thick, soggy batter. Awful. I ordered one can of coke & they delivered 4 cans. My first & last order.

Avoid absolutely disgusting greasy batter not cooked and so thick...fish tasted horrible when I found it under the mush...went in bin...although I had to get it back out again so they could have it back....don't waste your money and go hungry

Waste of money ordered fish and chips . They were cold . Fish was frozen not proper fish and chips . If I had wanted a ready meal I would have cooked it myself

I had a good feeling about this place as soon as I walked in. I was greeted with a smile and I instantly noticed the fish was all being cooked to order- perfect!
The haddock, sausage and chips I ordered was fantastic and the batter was perfectly crispy with just the right amount of seasoning. The haddock was also fresh to the taste. What more could I ask for!
This place is the perfect example of 'do the small things right and the rest will take care of itself'

Honestly for a “1 star” fish and chip shop it’s not bad!
I agree that they could fill the box with chips a little more but the chips were lovely and the sausage was great too!

We bought 2 sausages with batter which once unwrapped at home and on the plate were stone cold (we live 2 minutes away) The potato wedges had a wierd fishy taste and the chips were soggy. Maybe we caught them on a bad day, but we didn't enjoy.

I went in when it was full so a few people waiting on fish it soon cleared even with the guy working alone then he put the perfect amount of salt and vinegar on all our chips like he's just perfected the right amount and chips were lovely

Avoid. Over cooked but freezing cold. Called back offerd refund. NOT DONE. Never collected the food. Will be calling trading standards today. Needs closing down.shame you have to press a star as this should be no stars.

Unfortunately it is a five pound minimum order for card payments: in a day and age where you can buy an ice cream from a van for one pound, it’s pretty pathetic for any business to set a minimum payment limit. Lucky escape from the looks of it thought as the chips being put into the fryer were cheap frozen chips!

Discover this restaurant/takeaway whilst on our way to Epic Studios. Really interesting menu and very helpful staff. We both had sausage and chips. The food was not greasy at all and very tasty. They had a garlic and herb mayonnaise which was delicious. I use a wheelchair and althiugh there is not a huge amount of tables, it was easy to sit comfortably. Reasonable costs too. A great discovery.

This was the most disappointing take out I’ve ever had, so does the disgusting “salad”, I had a bite of it and started getting sick. I’ve asked nicely for crispier chips with a pinch of salt, they barely even cooked them 😅… too bad it’s necessary to give at least a star…

P.S. : the only good thing in the meal it was the Fanta cause it wasn’t made by this guys and also glad they forgot the extra cheese for the burger, who know what surprises that would have been

Volkan, AC and Dad run a great Chip Shop. The quality of the fish is excellent and very well priced.

These guys maintained service to the elderly all thorough Covid and should be applauded for doing so, also stayed open to the general public as much as they could.

For those leaving bad reviews about the quality of the chips and how they are cooked, maybe it could be a change in potatoes. Been using the shop since it opened and never an ssue.

You won't find nicer guys or better fish and chips in Norwich. Like everywhere and everyone if you treat them with respect and are friendly you'll get the same back.

Great tasting chips! New management have worked hard. They now cook in vegetable oil and offer veggie sausage options too which makes a difference. Very friendly chip shop and well presented portions in boxes.

Just used the revamped, milecross fish and chip bar,now able to order online they deliver but we are 5 minutes away so chose to collect, we had small cod and chips and they were gorgeous, they were fresh and hot,will definitely use them the next time.😋

Staff was really nice. A good taste of fish and chips and also halloumi fries made my dayout in Norwich very joyful.

They do Rock and the wife likes it . Rock was not up to their normal great taste and quality but it's the first one that wasn't brilliant in over 12 months which is why I gave 4 stars. My large cod was just that. Large and I loved it as usual

Amazing food! We return here regularly and the food is great. Really good portion sizes, friendly staff and the shop itself is really clean with a great atmosphere. The cod is delicious and the chips are cooked perfectly. Wouldn't go anywhere else now!

Such a friendly service, very welcoming at 5pm on a week day. Haven't been here for a few years but still good food. Very reasonably priced. Good quality fish, cod was best I have tasted in a long time. Sausage was tasty too. Chips seemed a little over-cooked.

Clean shop and friendly staff. I visited just before closing but they still cooked fresh chips for me. I prefer my fish and chips cooked in beef dripping and this fish bar uses oil but the taste was still good.

Absolutely terrible. Ordered the cod and scampi, it was disgusting and it gave my boyfriend food poisoning. He was throwing up all night. Stay AWAY from this place, I have no idea how they are still allowed to stay open. We also ordered a battered mars bar and the batter was completed raw like dough, it literally hadn’t been cooked. - This takeaway made us ill so steer clear, it was really really bad.

Working from home, I suddenly decided today that I didn't fancy the usual sandwich etc.for lunch. Popped out for two medium chips and a sausage, for just under a fiver. Was delicious, and absolutely stuffed us both. Guys in there are always nice and polite.

Worst fish and chips, no the worst takeaway food i have ever had in my life. Delivery was late, wrong food came. Food was cold. Fish and Chips taste awful honestly. I do no know how this shop is still running. I literally had to bin the whole fish and chips. Is just a waste of food. The only question i have is how do i give 0 star rating.

Finally the city centre has a decent fish & chip shop. This place has only been open a couple of weeks but we’ve been there quite a few times.

The portions are a really good size and the taste is exceptional, the menu has quite large variety for a small fish & chip shop.

They even have a little sit in area as well which is great for having sit down and a quick bite to eat after shopping around Anglia Square.

This is genuinely how many chips they sent for a "large" chips!! £2.10 for these!

Absolutely appalling!
2 large chips, 1 cod, 1 large battered sausage ordered.
2 tiny battered sausages with 1 large chips, 1 piece of cod and a handful of chips arrive!
Called restaurant as seriously, I’d paid for large chips and got what you see in the photo! All I did before taking the picture was move the fish to see how many I actually had!
Apparently they were “filler” chips in the box with my fish and they’d forgotten the other box. We’ve ordered before and it’s always all been in the same box so obviously excuses but whatever. They say they’ll send some out but it might take a while.
Nearly 2 hours later and we know they’re not coming but I thought I’d call before they close.
Spoke to someone else who went from one story to another.
Initially he said they’d decided to refund. When I asked why they didn’t call to tell me that they say they’ll send some chips out in 5-10 minutes. Obviously I don’t want them so they say they’ll refund. When I ask why it’s been so long, apparently it was his colleagues fault because “he” only told him at 10. Why, has it been over an hour since then? Surely if “he” told him at 10 then they could’ve been here ages ago. Oh and it was a woman I spoke with before!! Person I’m speaking to the fumbles over his words and comes up with “well I don’t know him but he’s a boy so yeah, it was a boy not a man”, nope, 100% a woman! What an absolute joke!!!!
Never ever again. 1st order we had from them was superb. Since then we’ve had 2 large cod where one was half the size of the other with soggy chips, then burnt fish which we didn’t say anything about, everyone has a bad day, now this! Clearly the good one was the fluke and not the bad.

Oh and when I called Just-Eat, they hadn't heard from Sea World but Sea World did tell them on the phone it was ok to refund me! How generous of them!!!

Have used this fish shop over past 20yrs on and off, although have not for a while. It used to be a real good fish shop with good portions for a decent price and flavoured food. Unfortunately my visit tonight was dissapointing to say the least, at nearly £7 for Medium Cod and Large Chips. When my Husband opened it the so called Cod (Didn't look or taste like cod)it was small, thin and small flakes of tasteless oily fish, the chips were no better dry reheats and tasted like oil...WILL NOT BE GOING BACK AGAIN. VERY UNHAPPY CUSTOMER
