The worst fish and chips I’ve ever had. The woman who served me couldn’t even get the order right and forgot the fish and chips. The crumbed flake wasn’t bad but the scallops were inedible and didn’t even resemble a scallop, more like a fish ball.. I couldn’t eat the chips they tasted stale. I had diarrhoea the next day. My wife had fish and chips. The fish was covered in greasy batter and she couldn’t eat it. This was $55 wasted. Go somewhere else.

We threw it in the bin! This is undoubtedly the worst fish and chips I have EVER had. Not only did I wait for 30min to get the take away order but it was actually inedible. Expecting a really good meal in Main Beach for absurdly high prices we ended up with frozen undersized pieces of fish. The Snapper was tough as leather and the Barramundi cut like a slice of Salmon. Chips were inedible as well. Will not see me again! Avoid!
If it was possible, I would give it a zero rather than 1 star. Horrendously bad customer service skills and some staff couldn't understand or speak English, so inherently messed up consecutive orders for about 5 customers one after the other in a queue this afternoon. Went here because they now sell alcohol with your fish and chips, and it was too busy at the Yot. My partner and I ordered 2 single fish and chip packs and repeated our order multiple times. Then we were charged for and given two small chips. After pointing it out to the staff, they told the cashier to charge $5 for a beer so that he could add two cod fish to our chips rather than refund and recharge the correct amount. My mind went straight to money laundering at this point, but it could just be that FOH staff dont actually know the menu, can't understand English, and don't know how to use the register. I was going to purchase some alcoholic beverages but refused to pay money to a place that can do all of the above and not smile, not say please or thankyou, and have complete utter lack of customer service skills and hospitality training. Coming from a hospitality background, I also noticed that they clearly weren't RSA trained, nor did they follow RSA procedures. Served a bottle of cider with a top still on and a can of JD and coke with the can not cracked to my friends - illegal not to open liquor, that is to be drank on premesis, before service, not to mention that the bottle was not a twist top and so required a bottle opener to open. Lucky my friend was able to open it without having to ask. Also seen people walking out of the licensed premises with alcohol in hand, only half drank. Big no! Better make sure you re train your staff in the key areas of Responsible Service of Alcohol and customer service. Food was average but chips had clearly been "refried". Not worth a visit unless you want to argue with a group of staff who have no idea what they're doing.
Incredibly underwhelming portion size for the price, and the quality of the food does not make up for it. You’re paying restaurant prices for kids meal size portions. The chips were barely seasoned with what appears to be ordinary table salt, and the fish was acceptable for a fish and chip shop, it certainly not the restaurant price they charge.
Was initially reluctant to try this place after seeing the bad reviews, but we decided to give it a shot after our whale watching tour and were pleasantly surprised. Service was quick and the fish came out crispy and flaky! The fries with chicken salt were a great addition too. Great place for a quick lunch.
Marco the new owner has really turned the place around. Food is as awesome and we look forward to all the new exciting changes that are coming. Thank you and your team for another great Sunday arvo.
It’s actually one of the best bahn mi pork rolls that I’ve had outside Asia.
Also the most expensive in the universe.
Is there a 12 bucks, I get one every day…
They take ages if you arrive at opening time!
Horrible service, we originally went there for hamburgers but they said they couldn’t cater to us as they were closing early because apparently they weren’t busy enough which I find super unprofessional- anyway we decided to give the barramundi and chips a go and they were $18. Not badly priced but they surcharged us for everything they could. Charged us for chicken salt, using a card and were just super unfriendly. The fish was greasy and burnt and the chips were too salty, also they overcharge for a puny container of bland tartare sauce. $3 for a couple of teaspoons. The place was very messy for a place that stores and sells seafood, some of the seafood wasn’t even on ice, as far as I’m concerned that’s not great food safety! Stay away from this place.
What more could you ask for.
Fresh fish and chips on the deck with water 💧 views 👌 and boats of all sorts.
We had Fisherman catch.
.
It was Fresh and hot.
Really nice and helpful friendly people serving.
No disabled access. But the two steps were easy to negotiate and lift my light weight forearm walker up.
It was worth the effort.
Thanks everyone we will be back again.
Very nice. Just that bit better than a fish n chip shop with lovely wine by the glass or bottle and beers on tap

Food was brilliant

Lovely outdoor and inside dinning.
Very nice place to dine in. Atmosphere is great, food is delicious and quick - I came at non-peak hours -

Couple of nitpick would be:
- chairs are way too tall for the table, I’m a short guy and I still need to slouch quite a lot, don’t wanna imagine tall guys dining in
- counter in and out auto close door has a loud thunk to it, but I was wearing noise cancelling ear phone, so not a problem for me

5 stars, will come again 👍🏻
The WORST fish and chips I have ever had in my life. If I could give minus 100 stars I would. The fish was dripping in oil, soggy and the batter was horrible. They charged 50 cents for chicken salt and did not say anything prior. They give you 1 teeny tiny wedge of lemon to cut through the grimy food. I was tricked given how busy it is, you would think the food was good. But I might aswell have burnt the $60 it cost for this rubbish.
Absolutely delicious battered fish and sweet potato chips, at a very reasonable price! And the service was also great and fast! I highly recommend this place for fish and chips lovers
Friendly service with great variety of fish and Vietnamese options. Very accommodating with children’s requests. Good beer and wine options. Fish and Calamari were cooked in a great and tasty thick but light batter
Our family (inc. kids aged 4 & 1) dined in early in the evening. They have a great outdoor area and high chairs for young kids.

We ordered grilled fish, prawn cutlets, calamari rings and chips. All were great, with the calamari rings an absolute standout. The batter was light and crispy - really very good!

We also ordered the green papaya salad. The flavours were well balanced and the portion was good for two adults.

Service was great. We couldn’t have been happier.
Fish and chips are great. The fish was easily one the best Ive ever had.

Fish and chips was around $11 which is not bad at all
