I came in today to see Dr Nikit Chawda for the first time, after having many “not so great” experiences with doctors in the past. Even though I’m still a “kid”, Dr Nik treated me with so much compassion and respect. I’m so glad our family has moved over to Ivanhoe Medical Clinic, and am so glad that I now have an awesome GP. I'm a frequent patient here. I called to book an appointment literally just to get a script re-filled. I was told to do this it would be a 5 minute phone call. Wanna know how much it would cost me for this 5 minute phone call? $94. That's right, $94 dollars for a 5 minute phone call. That is an insane price. In case you haven't noticed, we are going through a recession right now. No one who is a Gen-Z or Millennial can afford those prices, even with the medicare rebate. Especially for a 5 minute phone call just for a script re-fill!!! You are going to lose your young clients, which is such a shame because you have such lovely doctors.
I’ve been a long term patient at the Local Doctor. The doctors are kind, caring, compassionate, empathic and always take the time to listen and give you the best possible care.
I have been a patient at the local doctor Ivanhoe for the past four years. I have found all the doctors to be kind and thorough. They take the time to talk through your issues. Special mention to Dr Allen, Dr Grace and Dr Liselle who are all wonderful
For several years I have been satisfied with the doctors and their recommended treatments. The diversity of specialties and treatments makes it easy to book urgent or non-urgent appointments. On each occasion the doctors I consulted have treated me with respect and courtesy as have the practice nursing and reception staff.

Charging patients $95 for a 5 minute phone review is a disgrace. This GP clinic is clearly run for profit and not for the betterment of the patients. When I have attended this clinic in person the reception staff are abrupt and forceful. One of GPs I have seen was good, the other was pretty much body shaming me each in person appointment. Not a pleasant experience at all when you are seeking assistance
Wonderful practice. Really friendly receptionists and the practice is really welcoming. I saw Dr Liselle and she was so warm and friendly. So happy I’ve found a great new medical practice.
Friendly and efficient reception staff. I have followed Dr Kothari to this clinic. He really listens, is humble and knowledable. Enables ample time and broadly looks into complex chronic issues to find solutions where others couldn't.

Both my primary-aged daughter and I have been going to The Local Doc in Ivanhoe for a few years,. Highly recommend. They take the time to talk, to know you, and to see the 'bigger picture' Excellent in particular for skin-related issues. Always very easy to get an appointment.
Good clinic! A few good, caring doctors, open-minded and listening. Ready to explain and discuss things with you. Chris, Amita and Allen are great. Nice nurses, lovely premises as well.
The care and attention I received at the TLD was exceptional. From a warm welcome in a clean, comfortable waiting area to efficient processing of paperwork, every detail was attended to. Dr. Irwin was thorough, kind, and highly skilled. His team provided top-notch care. An overall outstanding healthcare experience - highly recommended!
The Local Doctor Ivanhoe is a professional, caring clinic that always has patient best interest at heart. Dr Eddie especially is very compassionate and always has patient wellbeing at the forefront of his mind. I always leave my appointments feeling well looked after and as if we have left no stone unturned to get my health back on track.
This is one of the very best medical offices I have ever used in over 40 years. The staff are all very friendly, compassionate and professional. Appointments are available and sometimes on the same day as the request. The fees are extremely reasonable, as well. My physician is absolutely wonderful! He is knowledgeable, kind and cares about my welfare. I cannot imagine a better medical office.

Dr Ken McHenry is a wonderful GP . He is a down to earth , personable and very thorough professional. I highly recommend him as a GP and the clinic in general!
I have been attending this clinic for 73 years. The standard has remained at a very high level. The receptionists are efficient and will always do their utmost to help if possible. Georgie and Mary, what can one say, they never appear to have an off day. All the doctors that I have attended from the Downing brothers through to the current practitioners have been skilled . I have never felt rushed during a consultation. I am very happy to wait whenever there is a delay. Thank you all
Don't waste your money I didn't notice the difference between private and bulk bill . 4 secretaries in a bad mood couldn't care less about clients. My doctor was more than 45 min late and they didn't tell me. Very disappointed.
This is an excellent family friendly medical practice. The staff are dedicated, hard-working and really know their stuff. My GP is Dr Casey and I fly down from Sydney for appointments. He's a top GP. The nurses Mary and Georgie make me feel welcome and in good hands. I also visit Merrilee the excellent Podiatrist who makes me feel like 'one of the family'. Community medical practice doesn't get better than Livingstone Street Clinic and I've lived and worked in a lot of places over the years.
I don’t mind the waiting period. I take both my children here. Dr Veronica has always given us her whole attention and care. And the ladies at reception are lovely too.
For a clinic that does not bulk bill and is by appointment only, expect to wait over an hour to see your doctor.
